Restaurant Porticello in Hamburg

Very good food and very nice staff.

I'd had my eye on this restaurant for a while. Today was the day. It was very busy. We opted for a four-course menu. Fresh bread and olives were served before the meal, followed by a glass of champagne. The first course was vitello tonnato or beef carpaccio. We both chose the carpaccio, which was a very good choice. After that, we had pasta with winter truffle, which was the best course for me. For the main course, we had a choice of sea bream or beef fillet. We both chose main courses and tried each other. The dessert rounded it all off. There was tiramisu and chocolate mousse. We had a lovely, delicious evening here. Unfortunately, my fish was dry, but otherwise everything was good.

We spontaneously went to this Italian restaurant and received a friendly welcome. We immediately felt at home and were able to enjoy the delicious food in peace. The gnocchi could have been a bit more generous, but it was still okay for the price.

Very nice Italian Ristorante with delicious food. The service was extremely friendly. The prices are reasonable.

On January 6th, 2025 I reserved a table in the Porticello via the homepage. In response to my telephone inquiry on January 13th. I was assured that they were looking forward to our visit. My astonishment was even greater when there was no table available on the agreed date. While we were asked to walk a bit, a table with 4 garden chairs was placed from the outside terrace in the hallway in front of the toilets. Other guests obviously didn't like this. When we asked, we couldn't be offered another table within the next 1.5 hours. We took this as an opportunity to leave the restaurant and passed new guests who were waiting for a table with a glass of Prosecco in their hand. We now understand that we are not welcome IN the RestAURANT Porticello. And that after we spent so many lovely evenings there, including with our children. We have never experienced such a blatant rejection and it was very embarrassing for us in front of our friends.

We had a wonderful evening with very good food and friendly, attentive service. The chef prepared the food in a completely relaxed and absolutely safe manner in the open kitchen. It was a joy to watch him!

Great Italian! Very tasty typical Italian dishes. We were here today with friends and had the mixed appetizer platter, grilled Gamba's Aglio e Olio, Saltimbocca a la romagna, lasagna and a Ruccola pizza. All highly recommended. Price/performance top!

We came here spontaneously, a bit famished and with little time. The store was full, but there were only two of us and we explained our concerns. A very nice lady at the “reception” said that we would manage it. We sat down outside and in less than five minutes we had a pizza, a tomato soup with bread and two delicious beers in front of us. Everything tasted great, despite the store being full. Thank you again, we'll be back!

A fantastic Italian! The waiters are extremely friendly and simply personable, which makes the visit a real pleasure. The ambience is wonderful and creates a pleasant atmosphere to feel good. The food is convincing across the board – with a great selection of dishes and excellent quality. An absolute highlight that you shouldn't miss!

Very, very nice reception from the boss. We wanted a sparkling wine that wasn't on the menu...a bottle was opened especially for us. Grace! Great food, great sea bream, filet in Barolo top. Absolutely recommended. Thank you for the great, enjoyable evening Mille Grazie!!!

Good place to have lunch. Attentive and friendly service. Cloth tablecloths and careful atmosphere. Correct food, I especially liked the potato and truffle soup, the lasagna could be improved, but it's not bad. Price included for where it is. I recommend it.

I really liked it. The atmosphere is cozy and spacious. Due to its central location, it is also easily accessible, both by public transport and by car, as there is a parking garage almost next door. The food tasted good, even if the main course was a bit too salty. The others at the table also enjoyed it and the portion size was good. I found the service very pleasant and friendly.

We spontaneously spent our evening there on our wedding day and were more than enchanted. I can only recommend it if you want to feel like you're in Italy and also want to eat there. Come here, you definitely won't be disappointed❤ kind regards from Stuttgart

Lots of nice window seats, it's quick even when it's full and there's a good chance of getting a table spontaneously. Excellent Italian cuisine, a friendly family business.

If you like Italian cuisine, you're in good hands here. Good location, nicely decorated, attentive service, delicious food, acceptable prices. My bruschetta (starter) and my panna cotta (dessert) were particularly delicious. The main course, tagliatelle with monkfish and green asparagus, was also excellent. Half a star deducted because apparently only regular guests get a free grappa - but this is offset by the presence of cloth napkins ;)

Great authentic Italian restaurant. No frills, but very homely delicious. A great place for a business lunch.

The pizza was hot when it arrived at the table. The base was fluffy and delicious. The mushrooms are fresh and the ham is aromatic. The fact that I came alone after work... no problem. Price performance is right for me

We were warmly welcomed and everything was done for us as a company so that we could sit comfortably together. We had pre-ordered food and it worked out brilliantly. Unfortunately my pizza wasn't that great. Pizza Gamberti is not recommended as there is nothing special... Sorry! But otherwise recommended.

We went to Porticello for dinner on Saturday evening. We didn't reserve the table. The service team is very friendly, warm and attentive, and the food (monkfish and a fish platter) was really fantastic. Highly recommended.

It's been a while since we've been to the Porticello again. Without the host Sandro, who is apparently no longer there, the service suffered greatly. It's an effort but nothing more... otherwise a good meal with a good price/performance ratio.

Located directly at the harbor only about 10 minutes away. The ambience was nice. The staff was very friendly. I absolutely can't complain about the prices and it was delicious too.

Lunch at Ristorante Porticello, Kajen 12 (near the Baumwall subway). Delicious lunch, good selection, good value for money and a friendly and attentive service team.

Nice atmosphere, if the street and S-Bahn don't bother you, it's very relaxed. Service was also very nice and the food was excellent. They both had a salami pizza, very filling :D

We like the Porticello, nice staff and very good cuisine, you can feel comfortable here. The wine selection is small but sufficient for lovely evenings. The La Notte Italiana with Roberto are not only great fun, they go on until the early morning! In summer you can live well on the terrace.

Four of us went there for dinner and experienced very good and friendly service. An attractive restaurant. The food was great and worth every penny!

Cozy Italian restaurant with a reasonable selection of delicious dishes. Special card with menu but also a nice large selection of antipasti. Fabric tablecloths and napkins as well as a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. We'd love to come back.

Very tasty food which we can highly recommend. The interior is a bit noisy and outdated. When it comes to outdoor seating, you should pay attention to the fact that you are sitting close to the street and the subway, which is above ground at this point. The staff was nice.

Fantastically delicious Italian food. Got pizza and lasagna and it was like being in Italy. The waiter also said a few words in Italian - guess he might be from Italy. Very cozy.

My friends and I had lunch at this Italian restaurant, and were very happy with our experience. They obviously speak German, but also Italian and some English so we didn't have problems communicating. The menu had many classic Italian dishes so we ordered a bunch of appetizers and then pasta, main courses and dessert. Pasta was, obviously, cooked perfectly; fish of the day was even better; dessert items, tiramisu and pannacota, were spectacular. This was definitely the best restaurant of our trip, and I highly recommend it.

Fui aquí para una cena de negocios. Es un restaurante italiano de aspecto estándar que se encuentra en Alemania. El servicio en el restaurante era bueno, pero nada especial. Teníamos una especie de filete en una salsa con patatas que era bueno, pero de nuevo nada extra. Tenían un par de cervezas clásicas del norte de Alemania en el grifo que estaban bien. Todos juntos, completamente promedio.

We had a voucher for a 4-course champagne menu. The service was great, the food perfect and a pleasant atmosphere. I would have liked a little more breaks between courses, but I could have said that. So with that in mind, we'll be happy to come back, thank you very much

We discovered the Italian restaurant by chance and ate there, the food was authentic Italian and super tasty “like in Italy”! 👍🏼 The Italian was very nice and even offered me a new beer from Italy that was also very tasty. 😋 Thank you for this great experience 😉

Ambience is OK, but nothing special. The service is so “okay” friendly, but unfortunately our starter was forgotten. When we recalculated the bill at home, we unfortunately discovered that we had paid at least €6 too much... well, a bit questionable. But the food was really delicious!

Hyggeligt sted med virkelig lækker italiensk mad. Pænt dækkede borde med hvide duge, venlig og imødekommende betjening. Godt udvalg af italienske retter, som er frisklavede, serveres varme og bare er i orden. Priserne er rimelige.

Delicious food, can only be recommended

We ended up here by chance on a Friday evening looking for a late dinner. We got something else here. Probably the tastiest pizza in all of Hamburg. The atmosphere is super cozy. Staff very friendly. Would love to come back.

Es war ein spontaner Besuch ohne Reservierung. Wir wurden sofort an einen wirklich schön eingedeckten Tisch geführt und sehr freundlich bedient. Das Essen und auch die Getränke waren ausgezeichnet. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen wenn wir wieder in Hamburg sind.

Ein guter Italiener, wenns schnell gehen muss. Preisleistung stimmt. Allerdings nicht besonders schönes Ambiente.

Extrem leckere Lasagne, freundlicher Service, angemessene eher günstige Preise. Da die Küche offen ist, liegt die Temperatur innen etwas höher.

Das essen war grandios sowie die Location. Der Service einmalig. Ich würde dieses Restaurant jederzeit empfehlen. Eine offene Küche, wo das Essen frisch zubereitet wird, wo der Gastgeber und der Service Spaß an der Arbeit haben und Freundlichkeit groß geschrieben wird. Da wo man sich in Italien fühlt…. Immer wieder gerne 😊

Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe der Elphi reicht nicht aus. Lieblose Italienisch inspirierte Küche, hohe Preise, der Service war eher routiniert gelangweilt, denn gut.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit typischem italienischen Flair. Das Essen war sehr köstlich und der Service hat sich gut um einen gekümmert. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Heute hatten wir Glück und konnten schön in der Sonne im Außenbereich vom Porzicello unser Essen geniessen. Der Service super nett hat uns gleich freundlich begrüßt. Wir hatten Pastanorma und Rinderfilet in Pfeffersoße. Vorweg gab es im Mittagstischangebot eine Tomatensuppe. Der Vernaccia Di San Gimignano passte ganz ausgezeichnet zu unseren Speisen. Zum Abdchluß gab es natürlich Tiramisu. Alles war sehr köstlich zubereitet. Mit der Sonne war es wie in Italien.
