We spontaneously went there for dinner yesterday. Well, what can I say? It was simply delicious, and everyone was very, very nice to us. They even cooked a treat for the kids. We haven't had such a good meal in a long time. We'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work... 😊

I'm absolutely thrilled! From the very first moment, everything was just perfect – the warm welcome, the attentive and friendly service, and the wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The food was a dream: fresh, perfectly prepared, lovingly presented, and simply divine in taste. Every bite was a delight! You can tell the passion and high quality of the work here is evident. I will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant seems off-putting at first glance, with a terrace near an intersection, but it has everything you need for a great time. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, and the food is delicious and exceptional, fresh, very well-cooked, and very good value for money. A real treat. Valérie and Baptiste.

One of the exceptional Italians in Hamburg. Cozy leather benches on the walls create a classic counterbalance to the modern wooden shell chairs. The modern counter invites you to enjoy a vino or espresso. In the entrance area, if you want to call it that, there is a large, powerful wooden table with benches, which is a great place to talk and forget about time. A young, dedicated crew will take you to a classic, modern Italy with perfect service. We like the tightrope walk that has been well implemented here. Watching over everyone with his open and relaxed manner is Lillo Calogero Cammallari with his rough sea dog voice. The audience is mixed, with a balance of young and old. Lillo is a self-confessed fan of modern art and installations, so he is a person with a lot of imagination and insight. On the other hand, something that the Alster boys really appreciate, life-affirming and adventurous. A person who connects generations. When the house music plays from the turntable late on Saturday, young and old meet up for the happening and everyone has a lot of fun. In this respect, Pane e Tulipani is something very special. The stuffed Loup de Mer was amazing, we have rarely seen anything like it. The map is small but very fine, but what little is left is of great quality. The daily specials are written on the large chalkboard, so if you arrive late you may have a little less choice. Of course there is also the delicious tagliatelle with truffles and a very tasty seafood platter with lobster, lobster and plenty of mixed fish. The kitchen is clean and incredibly tidy, and the food that leaves the kitchen is just as creative and high quality. The best thing is, go to Pane and let yourself be surprised, the Pane e Tulipani is just a little different. A well-managed wine list promises enjoyment for every budget. Even the open wines are recommended.

We wandered in here by accident after visiting the museum. It was such a happy accident. The risotto and avocado salad were both absolutely incredible. The prices were more than fair for the quality of the food and drink as well as the atmosphere. Would highly recommend it!

Fin lille restaurant med lækkert mad. Et ikke for stor menukort og uden pizza, som jeg blev gjort opmærksom på, da jeg spurgte om de havde plads til 3 personer. Vi fik noget brød og små hapser til at starte med på husets regning. En af os fik fisk og den blev præsenteret efter den var bagt men før den blev opdelt på tallerkenen. Det var blot for at vise, at det rent faktisk var en hel fisk, som var tilberedt. To af os fik oksekæber med kartoffelmos og lækker sovs til. Utrolig velsmagende.

A very fine restaurant with a great atmosphere. The tables are set very stylishly. The menu is very clear with selected dishes. As a starter we had a delicious antipasti platter with lots of delicacies. . The pasta, although tasty, is very rich and creamy. Every now and then there is even a DJ and there is dancing later in the evening. The atmosphere was great.

We were looking for Italian cuisine. Our younger ones were initially disappointed that there was no pizza. The food itself and the service were terrific. They also said it would take a little longer. They were clearly concerned about the well-being of the guests.

A classically decorated restaurant with excellent staff and excellent food. We had the truffle pasta, the ox cheeks and the gnocci. Every dish was simply a poem and tasted simply wonderful. My husband was absolutely enchanted by the ox cheeks. The waiter was very attentive and the waiting time between courses was completely normal. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and stylish. It was an exceptionally wonderful evening and we would love to come back. Absolute recommendation for people who like to eat fine Italian food. The chef knows his craft 100%.

There were four of us there. First we were warmly welcomed and given a card. About 5 minutes later another waiter came and said there was a closed party there. We explained that the other waiter hadn't mentioned anything and gave us a card too. He said he would be happy to clarify this again. Another 5 minutes passed and another waiter came and said he couldn't serve us any more drinks because they were actually already closed. Over an hour before closing time??? He asked us to leave.... In my opinion, an incredible impudence..... Never again

I had high expectations as friends have always recommended this place. I made a reservation for a Tuesday evening for two. We were sat at a table by staff and then another waiter came and asked us to move. Service was very inattentive and court: knocked over glasses, didn’t bring the wine menu, taking orders while carrying other people’s empty plates, etc. We ordered an antipasti platter to share (which was not tasty) and Parmesan linguine. The pasta was amazing, but the waiter sprinkled truffle flakes all over the table, into my wine glass and my trousers. The atmosphere felt like that of a museum cafe rather than an expensive restaurant: way too bright, no privacy, could overhear every conversation. All in all, this experience made me feel like they’re trying to offer an upscale dining experience but don’t have the skills to do it. We spent €80 per person and it was way worse than other Italian restaurants I’ve been to.

The best, the food. Very rich. The correct service. But the noise, it is a very loud place, where the sound reverberates and when there are many people, as was the day I went, the sound becomes very uncomfortable.

Had the loveliest dinner here last night (definitely recommend the truffle Parmesan pasta) and was really blown away by the service. Thank you Matthew and Sam for giving us a wonderful experience- can’t wait to come back.

We were on a weekend trip in Hamburg and were looking for a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. Since we love antipasti and Italian cuisine, we chose Pane e tulipani. Starting with the antipasti was a great start to the evening after we were shown several tables to choose from in a friendly and courteous manner. We recommend a reservation, the restaurant was very busy. The main courses, fried avocado with strips of beef and linguine made from parmesan cheese with truffles freshly grated at the table, were so fantastic that we really enjoyed our meal with gratitude. The wine recommendation was perfect and the dessert was the icing on the cake. A wonderful lemon mousse and a warm chocolate cake rounded off this great menu. We received friendly service from everyone and were told that it was so nice to see how much we enjoyed the meal and the evening. A reasonable tip was a given for us. We were escorted to the door and received a big thank you on the way for the appreciation and the joy that we radiated. We would be happy to return this thank you and would be happy to come back on our next trip to Hamburg!

Großes Dankeschön für die kulinarische Rettung gestern Abend! Nach 2 vergeblichen anderen Stationen gab es gestern auch nach 2030 Uhr noch einen schönen Platz im sehr einladenden Restaurant. Und dort konnte ganz wunderbar speisen - focaccia, köstlicher Gruß aus der Küche plus die beiden sehr guten antipasti haben mir großen Genuss beschert. Dazu kommen die gute Auswahl an offenen Weinen, feiner Espresso - und sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Danke, das war toll 🙏

Das Restaurant Pane e Tulipani ist definitiv ein Ort, den ich jedem Gourmet und Feinschmecker empfehlen kann! Das Highlight meines Besuchs war zweifellos die Trüffelpasta, diese ist definitiv ein Muss für alle Pasta-Liebhaber! 🍝 Der Service war ebenfalls erstklassig. Insbesondere Mathias verdient besondere Anerkennung. Er war äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell.

Wir kamen durch Zufall und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte ist zwar klein und die Preise schon höher aber die Gerichte werden geschmacksvoll serviert und schmecken sehr gut. Auch das Brot und der Gruß aus der Küche sind hervorragend. Nettes Ambiente und entspannte Atmosphäre. Aufgrund der Räumlichkeiten kann es aber schon laut werden. Das Personal ist schnell und sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant scheint bekannt zu sein, deshalb ist eine Reservierung ratsam.

Der Service hätte mindestens 10 Sterne verdient - endlich Menschen, die richtig Spaß an ihrem Job haben. Und die Küche auch: Das Essen war kreativ, schön für das Auge anzusehen und köstlichst. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Fischeintopf - klingt fast ordinär, war aber eine Sensation. Lange nicht mehr einen so reichhaltigen und großartigen Fischeintopf gegessen! Service war trotz Vorwarnung ("haben heute wenig Personal") völlig ohne Tadel.

This was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. We were with a group. Service was attentive and lovely, but the food…It was quite a perplexing array of cheap ingredients cooked badly on cumbersome plates. For the anitpasti: a plate filled with almost unidentifiable things doused in unidentifiable sauces: rubbery mozzarella on iceberg lettuce. A salad which was pretty much the same as the antipasti just more: crassly cut chunks of (not very tasty, i.e., industrial) fruits/avocado. For the main a risotto with salsiccia and treviso radicchio, the latter was chicory not the distinctive treviso variety, an insipid spice-heat dominated the whole dish. Not sure if the chefs actually had any tastebuds? And for the campari spritz we has as apero, it was definitely not campari but some kind of ersatz. In all I felt the dinner experience was just performative and a very expensive deception, deceiving people that this is italian food when it’s just a bombastic blasphemy.

Ein junges freundliches Team empfängt einen in dem schlichten Raum. Die Küche ist italienisch mit einem Twist, modern mit sehr guten Grundprodukten. Es wird kräftig gewürzt, manches ist auch recht scharf. Die meisten Gäste kommen wohl wegen der Nudeln mit frisch gehobeltem Trüffel, der hier wahrlich nicht sparsam verwendet wird und solch ein Teller kostet dann 21,- Euro, da kann man nicht meckern. Die Weine sind ordentlich, auch die, die man Glasweise bestellt. Das Publikum ist, wie die Betreiber, recht jung. Eine echte Empfehlung, auch wenn es nicht an einem der Trampelpfade liegt. Zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof sind es 7 Minuten.

Les linguini au parmesan et à la truffe sont délicieuses ! Je reviendrais pour ce plat. L’endroit est très agréable et moderne.

Es war das nächste Restaurant zu meinem Hotel und ich hätte nicht mehr Glück haben können. Der Service ist top, super freundlich und aufmerksam und das Essen - insbesondere die Linguine al tartufo sind ein absolutes Gedicht! Ich war zweimal hier und wurde beides mal nicht enttäuscht. Danke, und beim nächsten mal in Hamburg gerne wieder! :-)

Das Essen ist einfach einzigartig und exquisit. Alle meine Freunde und Gäste, fanden das Essen köstlich und das Ambiente ist gemütlich und deep. Die Angestellten sind kompetent und der Lillo ein toller Gastgeber! Ich freu mich schon auf das nächste mal!

Geheimtipp! Von außen recht unscheinbar aber die Küche hat definitiv standing ovations verdient. Vom ersten Gruß aus der Küche bis zur Trüffepasta hat hier einfach alles gestimmt! Super Publikum - fantastische Weine. Ich komme definitiv wieder !!!!

In den recht nüchternen Räumen (dafür sehr hohe Decken und gute Luft) lässt es sich trefflich speisen. Freundliche Bedienung und annehmbare Preise. Die gemischten Antipasti meiner Frau ein Träumchen und auch bei meinen Fettucini, im Parmesanlaib gewendet, wurde bei der Trüffel nicht gespart. Die Weine gut sortiert und nicht sehr teuer. Da kommt man gern wieder. Ein Tipp, ein großer Parkplatz befindet sich direkt, rechts neben dem Gebäude. Anfahrt über Amsinkstraße.

Die Räumlichkeiten sind entspannt und doch edel, das Publikum super gemischt, was ebenfalls zur lockeren Atmosphäre beiträgt und der Service war super gut drauf, witzig und extrem aufmerksam! Wir hatten einen sehr netten Abend mit leckerem Essen - das auch noch hübsch angerichtet war!

An einem regnerischen Abend zu relativ früher Zeit fanden wir hier ein höchst aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Die Küche sehr gut mit innovativem Ansatz. Fischsuppe, sehr lecker, Hauptgerichte sehr gut. Weinauswahl sehr gut. Preis//Leistungsverhältnis für Hamburg richtig gut. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls richtig schön. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Just by accident my wife and I found this Italian gem in Hamburg. Connected to the Kunsthaus it has a clear artistic atmosphere. The food is tasty and delicious, service top class.

The restaurant is located in the Kunstverein building (there are modern art exhibitions and antique shopping arcade in the building). Very convenient to eag in after visiting the exhibition. Easy choice - either set menu or short a la carte list, food cooked and served to a high standard, wine is perfectly selected - tasty and inexpensive. We have been there twice and enjoyed the food (italian-cuisine oriented) and atmosphere. Interior design matches the place - stylish and modern, art-oriented. I have noticed that they serve bottled water to foreigners, buf water in carafes to locals, apparently, to avoid questions about tap water by tourists. Tap water in Hamburg is potable and good, by ghe way.
