Restaurant Plaka zur Waldschänke in Bergkamen

Wieder hatten wir ein gelungenen Abend mit sehr leckeren Essen und das reichlich für einen guten Preis.

Ich war als erstr nach dem Öffnen da , ich war erst begeistert aber beim Essen ging es abwärts! Der Gyros war nicht durch, und roch, die frikaden Suzuki waren bröselich wie aufgetaut. Nach ca 45 min hatte ich Margen Probleme. Noch mal werde ich da wohl nicht mehr essen!

Überraschungsbesuch, extrem angenehm überrascht! Die Preise sind akzeptabel für ein hochwertiges Essen und mehr als ausreichend. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und trotzdem dezent. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir sehr gerne wieder kommen!!!

Waren mit 5 Männern am Freitag den 13. dort essen. Es war kein schwarzer Freitag. Essen top und reichlich. Extra noch für alle gegrillte Sardinen bestellt. Das war eindeutig zu viel. Aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen wird aber wettgemacht durch die oben genannten Punkte.

Sehr gutes, familiäres Restaurant. Service hervorragend, Essen ebenfalls. Vor allem die Portionsgrößen sollten positiv hervorgehoben werden, und das übrig gebliebene hat am nächsten Tag noch genauso gut geschmeckt wie im Restaurant! Ambiente wurde in den Rezensionen ja stellenweise bemängelt ist aber vollkommen in Ordnung und sauber und ordentlich! Kommen gerne wieder :-)

Waren ohne Reservierung dort. Die Begrüßung war recht kühl und distanziert. Wie bekamen den Tisch direkt gegenüber der Theke zugewiesen. Dort waren drei junge Frauen, die für den Service zuständig waren. Statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern waren sie meistens mit sich und ihren Handys beschäftigt oder sie beobachten die Gäste, was ich als recht unangenehm empfand. Das Essen war wie immer hervorragend, die Portionen großzügig. Aber der Service war sehr unbefriedigend. Obwohl nicht viel zu tun war, dauerte es eine Ewigkeit, bis nach dem Essen abgeräumt würde. Es würde auch nicht gefragt, ob wie noch etwas trinken wollen, obwohl unsere Gläser leer waren. Der Service war eher unmotiviert und wortkarg. Da niemand mit der Rechnung an den Tisch kam, gingen wir nach längerer Wartezeit zur Theke um die Rechnung zu begleichen. Schade, das der Service so nachgelassen hat. Das war einmal anders. Zu einem gemütlichen Restaurant mit Wohlfühlfaktor reicht gutes Essen alleine leider nicht. Das Essen kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen, den Service leider nicht

Leider konnten wir wegen meiner Erkrankung nicht zu euch kommen,darum haben wir Essen bestellt und abgeholt. Zwar fehlt uns das Ambiente und der nette,gute Service bei euch,aber das Essen war wie immer top und so reichlich das wir uns morgen das Kochen ersparen können und noch einmal im Genuss kommen lecker zu essen. Super leckeres Essen und ein rundum gelungener Besuch! Das Essen war hervorragend, alles frisch zubereitet das Fleisch saftig und gut gewürzt man schmeckt sofort die Qualität. Der Krautsalat und das Tzatziki beides selbstgemacht und einfach köstlich. Dazu kommt eine sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung sowie ein tolles, gemütliches Ambiente. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren an Weihnachten mittags mit insgesamt 14 Personen dort essen und gehörten zu den ersten Gästen nach Öffnung des Restaurants. Die Qualität des Essens war durchweg sehr gut. Geschmacklich waren alle begeistert, daran gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Auf die erste Getränkebestellung mussten wir recht lange warten, ungefähr eine Viertelstunde. Das ist an einem Feiertag noch akzeptabel, fiel aber auf. Bei der Essensbestellung gab es einen kleinen Sonderwunsch. Dieser wurde zunächst bestätigt, beim Servieren jedoch nicht korrekt umgesetzt. Nach einem Hinweis wurde das Gericht zurückgenommen und später richtig serviert. Das wurde am Ende gelöst, ist aber dennoch unglücklich, wenn ein bestätigter Wunsch zunächst nicht beachtet wird. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war insgesamt sehr lang. Das ist an Weihnachten grundsätzlich nachvollziehbar. Problematisch war jedoch die Organisation. Ein Großteil der Gerichte kam zeitgleich, mehrere weitere folgten deutlich später. Ein Essen konnte laut Service nicht gleichzeitig zubereitet werden, da es kapazitätsbedingt nicht mehr möglich gewesen sei. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren fast alle anderen bereits fertig, während eine Person noch auf ihr Essen warten musste. Das war unangenehm und organisatorisch nicht gut gelöst. Das Restaurant war zwischenzeitlich gut besucht und entsprechend herrschte viel Betrieb. Das erklärt einiges, ändert aber nichts an der Situation für unsere Gruppe. Aufgrund der langen Dauer haben wir auf Nachtisch verzichtet, da es bereits früher Nachmittag war. Preislich war alles absolut in Ordnung. Das Essen war sehr gut und wir würden auch wiederkommen, allerdings nicht mehr mit einer so großen Gruppe. Für kleinere Runden sicher besser geeignet. Insgesamt daher eine ehrliche Drei Sterne Bewertung.

Anyone who enjoys Greek cuisine will definitely find something good to eat here; it's tasty and won't break the bank. The table for Christmas 🎄 is already reserved.

We came back after some time. The seating is very comfortable, but the food leaves something to be desired. The souvlaki was unfortunately overcooked and the gyros very coarsely chopped. That wasn't the case before. A shame.

Solid Greek restaurant with very generous portions at normal prices.

I wasn't impressed with the meat (gyro)! It was very quiet, and I asked for the meat to be served dark. Unfortunately, it was very light, so I didn't eat much of it. I think that's a shame; I would have preferred darker meat. 👎🏼

Very nice location with very good food for our company party

The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. However, less spice in the food would be more. The food is very salty, which makes you really thirsty in the evening. The quantities are disproportionately large, so it's practically impossible to finish, but takeout is available.

Unfortunately not the location but the best Greek food!

We were here years ago with six people and were thoroughly disappointed because the food quality and taste didn't meet our expectations at all. Since my brother and his wife regularly come here and absolutely love it, we were persuaded to come back with three people. Unfortunately, it was the wrong decision. We can't understand the many positive reviews at all. The ambiance remains rustic and in dire need of renovation. Old wooden tables painted over several times with a sticky surface, and no tablecloth or even a runner... It just wasn't very inviting. Besides, we're there to eat. Once we had Gyros Metaxa baked with cheese and fries with coleslaw and tzatziki. Twice we had grilled liver with fries and coleslaw. Unfortunately, nothing has changed for the better. The baked gyros were sometimes tough and greasy, and the sauce was too salty. A disappointment in terms of taste. The fries arrived lukewarm with all the dishes. Mayo costs extra..... The grilled liver on both plates was grilled to death, dry, and riddled with tendons. All the dishes should have been returned. The only positive thing was the ouzo before and after the meal... The friendly service was also positive. But that's no use if the price-performance ratio is completely off. And no, I'm not a nitpicker looking for criticism. On the contrary, I always give positive praise when the food is really good quality and tasty. We won't be coming here again and will leave the space to those who enjoy eating here.

After four years of Father's Day, unfortunately, there was no beer on the terrace today...even though the shop was empty. Very sad 😞

After moving from Kamen a few years ago, we've remained loyal to the restaurant and have never been disappointed. The beer garden is a great addition to the restaurant in Kamen during the summer.

Always very tasty and decent portions, just like every Greek restaurant used to have...I can only recommend it. The owner and service have always been very nice and friendly. In summer the terrace is nice and the children have a huge playground.

We have eaten here several times and were once again impressed. Very good Greek dishes at a very fair price. The size of the dishes filled everyone. The team was friendly and attentive, very nice boss. Furnishings were partially renewed, we liked it. We would love to come back.

For me it is the best Greek restaurant in the area. The portions are large and the quality is also good. The service is very friendly and attentive. The dining room is a bit old, but it's also comfortable. In summer the beer garden is a dream, we like to combine our visit with a bike ride and stop there. We are already looking forward to our next visit :-)

It's very pleasant in the beer garden, but inside, decades of Grundhöfer have left a clear mark. Everything is quite dark and musty. In the future, we will only be there when staying in the beer garden is possible. Food very good, service ok.

Went there spontaneously for dinner with 10 people - great. Food is great, portions are good and the Plakas team is super friendly. We'll be back.

I haven't had such good Greek food in a long time. There is a wide selection of various Greek starters and main courses, some of which I have not seen anywhere else. Plentiful and tasty. I'm a good eater and always feel full and take something home with me. There is also a cozy beer garden for those warm days. Parking spaces are plentiful. The service and the boss are exceptionally friendly.

In terms of quantity, the portions are too big. Better something smaller and 1-2 euros cheaper. Seasoning it better would be great.

Always a TOP store. Food is delicious and plentiful. Yesterday I didn't take the big "Plaka giant battle plate" because I have a vacation coming up and I still want to fit into the Borat tankini. Food was really good and pricing was right too. When the weather is good you can sit outside and chill out. I overheard a couple of guests sitting next to me complaining again and again... I'll put it this way, they just weren't talented enough to read a menu... It was partly annoying and partly a bit embarrassing. The service, which was really friendly to me, "handled" it all in a routine manner. As grandma always said: "As you call into the forest - it calls back".

The three of us spontaneously visited Plaka. The ambience is visually a bit outdated but cozy. Food and drinks impeccable and tasty. Large portions are guaranteed. Service relaxed, friendly, nice and attentive (also available for little jokes 😉). Prices absolutely fair and reasonable.

We were there again in the middle of the week for a birthday and, as always, had a very good meal. Portions were plentiful and the bottle of wine with the meal was excellent. We had the Kavalla platter for 2 people. Many greetings to Niko and his service team.

Unser liebstes griechisches Restaurant! Der frische Krautsalat, das Fleisch, Oktopus, die nette Bedienung, Preis-Leistung, einfach alles ist stimmig. Man sollte sich beim Bestellen nur im Klaren darüber sein, dass die Portionen riesig sind.
