Das Restaurant ist sehr, sehr gut! Wenn man im Internet die Speisekarte sieht denkt man ok. Aber im Restaurant ist man ü ber die sehr viel größere Auswahl erstaunt und es schmeckt sehr gut. Wir waren hier nicht das letzte mal!

Top Service, Mega Lecker und Riesen Portion immer! Immer wieder eine Freude!!

Wir waren zu zweit da und können sagen das dass Preis Leistungsverhältnis definitiv passt. Vieles wird in der Küche von den Mitarbeitern frisch zubereitet. Wir haben jeder noch ein raki bekommen und einen Nachtisch. Sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Service war schnell, höflich und vorallem nicht aufdringlich. Ambiente war rustikal, eben als wäre man bei den Griechen.

Es war evtl ein bisschen überbucht und es hat alles endlos gedauert…

Wir waren heute zum Muttertag im Restaurant Olympia zur Alten Post essen. Aufgrund des sehr großen Andrangs mussten wir leider teilweise recht lange auf Getränke und Essen warten. Dadurch wurde die Stimmung in unserer Gruppe mit der Zeit etwas angespannter. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich aber ausdrücklich, dass auf unsere Wünsche bei der Reservierung Rücksicht genommen wurde. Wegen einer stillenden Mutter und der Kinder haben wir einen eigenen Raum bekommen, was wirklich sehr angenehm und aufmerksam war. Im Gegensatz zu unserer Begleitung fand ich das Essen insgesamt ausgezeichnet. Die Kritik am etwas zu öligen Bohnensalat kann ich aus Sicht der anderen zwar nachvollziehen, dennoch waren die Speisen insgesamt sehr lecker und qualitativ gut. Enttäuscht hat mich eher der Verlauf der Situation im Umgang mit den unzufriedenen Gästen. Gerade bei einzelnen kritischen Stimmen wünsche ich mir von Servicekräften ein souveränes, freundliches und nicht verallgemeinerndes Auftreten. Am Ende sind wir leider nicht im Guten auseinandergegangen. Trotzdem werde ich meine grundsätzlich gute Meinung über das Restaurant nicht ändern, da in der Vergangenheit auch mit Kritik stets sehr professionell und souverän umgegangen wurde. Ich hoffe, dass der heutige Tag mit dem außergewöhnlich hohen Andrang einfach eine Ausnahmesituation war.

Wir waren heute nach langer Zeit wieder einmal hier essen und müssen leider sagen: Es war eine absolute Katastrophe. Was früher ein Garant für Qualität war, hat sich unter der neuen Führung leider ins Gegenteil verkehrt. Unsere Kritik punkte im Detail: Inakzeptable Wartezeiten: Wir mussten sage und schreibe 90 Minuten auf einen einfachen Salat warten. Für ein Restaurant dieser Art ist das schlichtweg nicht tragbar. Mangelhafte Essen: Das Essen war leider ungenießbar. Die Gerichte waren extrem versalzen, schwammen regelrecht in Öl oder waren durch einen massiven Essig Überschuss völlig überlagert. Von frischer, griechischer Küche war hier nichts zu spüren.. es war schlichtweg widerwärtig. Service & Management: Anstatt auf unsere berechtigte Kritik professionell zu reagieren, wurde uns vom Chef persönlich mit Rauswurf gedroht. Ein solches Verhalten gegenüber zahlenden Gästen ist mir bisher noch nie begegnet. Der alte Besitzer hat Messlatte hoch gelegt, doch das aktuelle Team scheitert leider auf ganzer Linie. Wer Wert auf gutes Essen und einen respektvollen Umgang legt, sollte diesen Ort meiden. Aber Hey... Kopf hoch! Die Cola und Fanta habt ihr gut hinbekommen 👍 Ach und sollte die Bewertung gelöscht werden, lade ich Sie gern nochmal hoch.

Ich war auf Empfehlung dort und wurde absolut nicht enttäuscht. Super leckeres Essen, große Portionen und alles frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war mega freundlich und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Besonders die familiäre Atmosphäre macht das Restaurant echt besonders. Für mich eines der besten griechischen Restaurants in der Gegend ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ein rundum perfekter Restaurantbesuch! Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch, geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Man merkt sofort die hohe Qualität der Zutaten und die authentische griechische Küche. Der Service war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, sodass man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Auch das Ambiente überzeugt mit einer gemütlichen und stilvollen Atmosphäre. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und kommen definitiv wieder. Absolute Empfehlung!

Einfach ein sehr sympathisches Team mit rundum leckeren Speisen. Alle waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Getränke waren schnell am Tisch, langes Warten Fehlanzeige. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Erstmal aus dem Weg von zu spät kommendem Personal geschubst und dann 1 Stunde auf Getränke gewartet. Danke 😘

Sehr gutes griechisches Restaurant. Die Portionen sind sehr angemessen und der Preis stimmt ebenfalls. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert ... besonders der besondere Service vor und nach dem Essen.

Essen = geht besser Service = unschlagbar Ambiente = Gemütlich aber relativ laut.

Was für ein schöner Laden. Location selber nen bisschen oldschool, aber sau gemütlich. Super Service und das Essen... Es war soooo lecker! Das Gyros mega, Kalbsfile super zart und einfach nur lecker! Pommes, Beilagen alles bestens! Jeder Zeit wieder! Kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

Ein urig gemütlicher Laden, mit sehr nettem Service und noch besserem Essen !!! Wir haben die Empfehlung von " Hungrige Stadt ", von dem wir schon andere Locations ausgetestet haben und noch nicht enttäuscht wurden. Das Essen war wie ein kleiner Urlaub in Griechenland und zum Abschluss gab es noch ein kleines Dessert, entweder Panacotta mit Fruchtsosse oder Karamellpudding mit Sahne, aufs Haus !!!

Ich war heute mit einem Arbeitskollegen und seiner Tochter dort – und ganz ehrlich: Man denkt ja oft „Grieche ist Grieche“. Hier stimmt das nicht. Ich kenne viele griechische Restaurants (und habe selbst in der Gastro gearbeitet, außerdem auch in Griechenland gegessen) – aber dieser Besuch war wirklich erste Sahne. Das Essen: Souvlaki: ungewöhnlich gute Qualität – große Stücke, super zart, perfekt gegrillt. Gyros: richtig lecker, nicht fettig, schön würzig. Tzatziki: Bombe! Genau so muss das. Service & Atmosphäre: Gemütlich, entspannt, familiär. Der Chef kommt an den Tisch, nimmt sich Zeit, man fühlt sich willkommen – und das Team ist aufmerksam, ohne hektisch zu sein. Ouzo aufs Haus gab’s auch. So soll ein Donnerstagabend sein. 🙂 Fazit: Schade, dass Bergkamen von Dortmund aus nicht „mal eben“ ist – aber es ist die Fahrt absolut wert. Dieser Restaurantbesuch war eine absolute Katastrophe und hat einen 70. Geburtstag komplett ruiniert. Wir warteten über 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen. Erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen wurde lapidar erwähnt, dass angeblich der Grill defekt sei. Eine frühzeitige Information? Fehlanzeige. Als das Essen schließlich kam, fehlten mehrere Gerichte. Statt Einsicht oder einer Entschuldigung folgten unverschämte Diskussionen in einem respektlosen Ton. Offensichtlich hatte sich das Restaurant massiv verkalkuliert, die Gäste mussten das ausbaden. Kulanz gleich null. Kein Rabatt, kein Gutschein, kein Getränk – nicht einmal eine ehrliche Entschuldigung. Besonders beschämend war der völlige Mangel an Rücksicht auf Kinder, die nach dieser Wartezeit verständlicherweise am Ende ihrer Geduld waren. Am Ende wurde weiter diskutiert, statt Verantwortung zu übernehmen. So ein Verhalten ist unprofessionell, respektlos und in keiner Weise gastfreundlich. Für besondere Anlässe absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Das beste Griechische Restaurant im Umkreis. Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen steht nach spätestens 15 Minuten auf dem Tisch. Die Portionsgrößen sind mehr als ausreichend, Ouzo und ein kleines Dessert gibt es auch noch dazu. Kann es nur weiterempfehlen. 👍

Wir kommen extra aus Niedersachsen, um bei unserem Lieblings-Griechen zu essen. Es schmeckt wirklich nirgendwo anders so wie hier.

Essen war super. Personal kompetent und freundlich. Gefülltes Bifteki bestellt, mit Reis. 2 kleine Pils. Portion war genau richtig. Preise sind gut.

Das Olympia...was soll ich sagen. Ich war eingeladen von Freunden. In Bergkamen kenne ich mich wenig aus, aber dieses Restaurant ist eine echte Institution. Authentisches Ambiente, toller Service und sehr freundliche, wie aufmerksame MitarbeiterInnen. Die Qualität des Essens ist wirklich top. Aber der Titanenteller war mein Endgegner. Wer hier nicht satt wird, ist selber schuld.

Groß, viel Platz und doch voll ... Essen gut , Service gut und freundlich. Riesen Auswahl mit all der Namen der Griechischen Götter. Gibt im Umkreis ja auch kein wirklichen Griechischen Konkurrenz .

The food is highly recommended, and the price-performance ratio is also very good.

If you eat in, you get good, generous portions and friendly service. However, if you order and pick up food, you get smaller, burnt portions for the same price. Because you don't see the packaged food in person, you'll get a (nasty) surprise at home. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it!

A good restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, celebrated my mother's birthday there. We took a set for four, cost almost 100€, a large tray: fries, shashlik, lamb, beef, cheese, sauce, four salads, rice. Everything is very tasty, although the drinks are a bit expensive, I recommend. And it is better to book a table in advance.

POSTSCRIPT 08/05/2025: Our favorite restaurant, the California at the marina, was closed. It was supposed to be a special evening – and it turned out to be, at the Greek restaurant: Yes, I only wanted a small portion, but I got a very "plain" meal! A few fries, payable, a souvlaki skewer, a bifteki about a third of what was available before, and of course, that spoonful of rice! And no, there was nothing more! I would have liked some onion rings and tzatziki! My partner ordered beef liver with fries 😀 that's exactly what she got, unbelievable! Oh yes, on a huge plate, the food must have seemed very lost, lonely. The many refugees who also crawled into the terrible balsamic vinegar were particularly bad! We pointed this out to the waiter – who had already been having a bad evening the whole time – and wow, he was ranting at the guests! Kindergarten was the nicest part! The balsamic vinegar dispenser on our table had apparently not been closed after use. Incidentally, the salt mill was empty, and the basket containing salt, pepper, oil, and balsamic vinegar hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Okay, that's enough, there are enough good restaurants in and around Bergkamen, and the quiet day at the others won't be a reason to end up here anymore! What a shame! Yesterday I was there for the first time in years because the food there has always been worthy of a star! I haven't been there for so long because, despite being a very busy restaurant, it was never renovated, even though all the reviews complained about it! The condition back then was pitiful and disgusting. I was very amazed and pleasantly surprised yesterday – beautiful new bathrooms, new flooring in the dining room, and the walls finally painted! The furniture is the same as before, and the bar area still looks primitive and the craftsmanship is terrible. Personally, I think the old furniture with obvious signs of wear and tear belongs right there! For me, it exudes coziness... The service staff is plentiful, but they still can't get the job done. The flow seems chaotic and disorganized; what we ordered differed slightly from what we received; the payment process somehow ended in a dead end. The manager was happy that we paid anyway, but okay, mistakes happen, we're only human. The staff is absolutely friendly and clearly committed to the guests, so ******! Yes, I do think we have a core group of Greeks again - THANK YOU for the renovation 😊 and see you soon

We ate there for the first time today, and I can definitely say it won't be our last. We were warmly greeted by the junior chef upon entering. The service was also excellent. The young woman in charge of serving was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. For me, everything depends on the quality of the meat and the Metaxa sauce. Both were very good and homemade! We will definitely be back.

Well, once you've tried it is enough; there are much better Greek restaurants.

We wanted to go to our regular Greek restaurant on Monday, but it's closed on Mondays. So we tried this one. And now it's our new regular Greek restaurant. Great, delicious food, the best gyros I've ever had. And they even gave us a small dessert for free. From now on, we'll only go here when we're craving Greek food.

Good Greek, food very tasty but they need to work on the ambience

We visit the restaurant regularly and highly recommend it. It's a rustic and thematically decorated restaurant with super nice and friendly staff. We've celebrated several parties there. Each time, our wishes and expectations were more than met. The only disagreement was resolved very accommodatingly. We enjoy being guests there.

Nice restaurant, unfortunately not that much vegetarian selection but the meat dishes looked very good. Service was okay, the young lady who took our order seemed to be new. Toilets were very clean and looked newly renovated.

Unfortunately my visit to the restaurant was disappointing. I was charged an additional sulflaki for 7.50 euros and a change to the side salad for 3.50 euros without being informed of this beforehand. When I asked the waiter about it, he said that he couldn't do anything about it as it was decided by the manager. I thought it was outrageous to charge extra without warning. This had a very negative impact on my visit.”

I went there for the first time yesterday following a recommendation from friends and I have to say the food is excellent! For a long time I was so comfortably filled in a restaurant. Unfortunately more than disappointing today. Teacup only lukewarm, starter ordered without olive oil but came with rapeseed oil, main course pan-fried vegetables as a side dish were fridge cold. This used to be our regular restaurant. Today there is. There aren't even any more tablecloths on the tables, but prices have risen sharply.

First we are seated at a dirty and dusty table. If we hadn't asked for it to be cleaned, the table would have been set like this. This was followed by more than 30 minutes of waiting, despite frequent eye contact and comments like "I'll come right away". Finally we got up and left. It doesn't work at all!

Food and service very good! Since the restaurant was very busy, it was correspondingly loud. Sound-absorbing materials/coverings could possibly help!

It's a nice and sophisticated place hidden in Dortmund. The presentation of fish products, service and treats were good. I was satisfied.

This had nothing to do with fresh or tasty gyro meat. It's a shame for the team, but you can't serve or pack something like that. All the best anyway!

August 2023: We were back at the Olympia after a long time. We really liked and enjoyed it. We hadn't booked a table in advance and since it was very full, the hall was opened especially for us. We'll definitely be back! April 2024 Addendum: We were at the Olympia for the 3rd time today and were very disappointed. We understand that the prices of the dishes have now become more expensive, but the fact that the portions have become smaller is almost a disgrace. If we hadn't had a starter (which was just as big and tasty as always) we would have gone home hungry. My husband's liver and bifteki were just the size of a business card and my octopus was also a joke. There were plenty of fries on the plate. It's a shame, because taste and friendly service are only enough for ⭐️⭐️⭐️!

The food was great. Gyros nice and crispy and still juicy. Portions are plentiful and the ingredients are obviously fresh Service is super friendly and attentive. The decor is typical of a Greek restaurant in Germany. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Weddinghofen.

The atmosphere and staff were very nice. As a Muslim, I unfortunately can't say much about the food as there is a lot of pork on offer. For the main course I had tagliatelle in a cream sauce and salmon fillet, which tasted extremely good. As a starter there was a tomato soup which I can recommend. Unfortunately I didn't have time for dessert and can't say anything about it.
