Gyros Grill in Bergkamen

Ich habe hier des öfteren essen geholt und war immer zufrieden doch heute war es das letzte Mal. Die Preise ziehen an, die Portionen werden immer kleiner und das Fleisch kann man mittlerweile nicht mehr wirklich genießen. Nur fett. Kein Wunder dass auf einem Sonntagabend bei gutem Wetter der Laden leer ist.

Gestern Abend waren wir zu dritt dort essen. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber etwas chaotisch. Speisen, die in der Karte aufgeführt waren, wurden durch Fragen verkompliziert. Dadurch wurde ein Gericht doppelt gebracht, was zu einer Diskussion mit der Chefin? führte. Alle Gerichte, die wir bestellt hatten, waren lau warm, das Gyros war hart, die Currywurst hatte eine getrocknete Haut (die lag wahrscheinlich seit mittags schon da),die Pommes waren fettig und schmeckten überhaupt nicht nach Kartoffeln. Ich habe selten so schlecht gegessen. Wir hatten zwei Radler getrunken, die im Glas 0,3 l ausgeschenkt wurden. Lt. Speisekarte und Abrechnungsbeleg hätten es aber 0,33 l sein müssen. Bei der Reklamation gegenüber der Chefin? zuckte diese nur mit den Schultern und gab dann gönnerhaft 1,00 € aus der Kasse zurück… und die nächsten Kunden achten nicht drauf und zahlen für etwas, was nicht der Karte entspricht. Frechheit!! Letztendlich sind wir aber selbst schuld, dass wir das komplette, fiese Essen nicht reklamiert haben.

Den Grill ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und erinnert ein wenig an eine Grichische einfache Taverne. Wir mögen das. Das wichtigste aber ist das Essen was sehr gut und reichhaltig war. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Das Essen war sehr gut, lecker und preiswert. Schade, dass wir es erst so spät entdeckt haben; wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Beste Grüße.

Wir haben per Lieferando bestellt, Und sind sehr enttäuscht das Gyros Fleisch schmeckt wie Tiefkühlfleisch die metaxasoße besteht nur aus Öl und schmeckt wie eine Bolognese und zudem besteht das Fleisch fast nur aus Fett und fühlt sich an wie Gummi

Ich habe gestern das Erste mal Bestellt und Leider auch das Lezte mal...ich möchte aber Betonen, das ein fopa wenn viel zu tun ist auch passieren kann! Zu dem Essen, Ich hatte ein Metaxa Teller Bestellt und ein Gyros Teller! Das Fleisch war viel zu Dick geschnitten und leider sehr trocken..dazu kommt noch das ich sehr viel knorpel dabei hatte! Der Reis war okay aber auch nicht gerade besonders lecker...da ist wirklich noch bedarf nach oben. Ich hatte dann gestern im Restaurant Angerufen und hatte den Geschäftsführer auch am Telefon. Er hat sich aber entschuldigt was ich gut fand und auch zugegeben das das Fleisch evtl zu dick geschnitten war... Er hatte mir dann versprochen, eine Gratis Lieferung zukommen zu lassen und mein Rückgeld zu erstatten (hatte 30 euro mit Trinkgeld gegeben) leider kam niemand und das fand ich schon etwas dreist! Nungut, ich hatte nochmal versucht Anzurufen aber leider kam ich nicht durch... Wie schon gesagt, ich bin kein unmensch aber das war leider ein Reinfall. Trozdem alles gute weiterhin.

Ich gehe seit gut 2 Jahren dort Essen ich sage nur sehr gute Menschlich und Freundliche Bedienung

Ich habe mich die letzten beiden Male mit einer Rezession zurückgehalten aber nun reicht es! Bei meinen letzten beiden Besuchen war entweder schon die Currywurst aus oder es war bereits am frühen Abend bereits geschlossen weil die Kunden „alles weggefressen haben“ (wortwörtliches Zitat!). Heute nun der letzte Versuch. Diesmal gab es nachmittags bereits keine Burgerbrötchen mehr. Zur Not einen Hot Dog bestellt, aber zu Hause fehlten mir die Worte - einfach ungenießbar. Eine Gemüsezwiebel verteilt über dicken Salatgurken! Sagt mal, geht’s noch?? Da gehören eingelegte Gurken und Röstzwiebeln drauf. Die Pommes vom Taxiteller alt und hart, das Gyros fettig. Es ist alles in den Müll gewandert. Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste Essen, was ich seit langem irgendwo gekauft habe. Dazu der Service eine Katastrophe.

Tolles Restaurant, leckeres Essen, geschmackvoll, frisch und die Pommes.... Einfach nur saugut. Alles auch zum mitnehmen. Im Sommer draußen ist echt nett. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Preise sind für die Qualität einfach top. Es gibt einige griechische Restaurants in der Nähe, aber keines was in Preis-Leistung so gut ist. Wir werden immer wieder kommen.

Ich war jetzt schon 2 mal dort, jetzt mal mit jemanden anderen und alle waren zufrieden!

Wir kennen den Gyros Grill schon sehr lange. Wir haben heute einmal über Lieferando bestellt und sind begeistert! Super schnelle Lieferung, toller Geschmack und das Essen kam heiß an. Muss Euch demnächst einmal fragen, woher ihr die Peperonis und die schwarzen Oliven her habt , einfach nur köstlich

Ich habe hier schön öfters gegessen sowohl im Restaurant als auch Online bestellt. Ich muss sagen dass ich das Essen wenn man im Restaurant dort isst, in Ordnung ist. Jedoch haben mich die Online Bestellungen sehr enttäuscht. Das Gyros war teilweise noch sehr rosa/roh und knorpelig gummerig. Die Preise über Online Bestellung sind sehr hoch, 4€ für Zaziki.. Der Ladeninhaber duldet auch keine Telefonischen Bestellungen mehr, nur noch über Lieferando was ich auch sehr schade finde. Für Griechische Fleischsorten Okay. Aber wenn man richtig gutes Gyros essen möchte oder ein guten Taxiteller - dann ist man in Oberaden 😉 besser aufgehoben.

Wir waren das letzte Mal dort. Der Service war unterirdisch, sehr unfreundlich. Das Essen war eine Katastrophe: Pommes noch fast roh und nicht gewürzt. Das gleiche gilt für das Fleisch (Gyros, Bifteki). Die Portionen waren zu klein.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich, die Tische alle sehr sauber. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und die Qualität war auch sehr gut. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Update: 14.03. Nach wie vor alles super lecker!

Absolut perfekt. Portionen, welche ihr Geld wert sind. Sauberes Ambiente und eine sehr nette Bedienung.

Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut wir hatten einen Teller Gyros Spezial. Der Zaziki absolut hausgemacht sehr lecker, nettes Servicepersonal, Ambiente für einen Grill typisch. Heute nach anderthalb Jahren mal wieder dort gewesen habe diesmal einen Teller Gyros Spezial mitgenommen, auch der war wie beim letzten Mal sehr gut.

Das Essen und der Service ist sehr gut. Von daher absolut empfehlenswert.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good.

At this restaurant, I can not only praise the excellent food, but I must also emphasize the warmth and friendliness of the team. We placed a large order the evening before, which was ready on time the next day and handled with impeccable organization. Everything tasted delicious, the portions were generous, and we were even allowed to borrow a delivery box. My wife and I are regulars, even in the summer. It's wonderful that such wonderful people still exist!

Typical Greek grill snack bar. The portions are generous and the food tastes great. If I had to guess, I'd say the coleslaw and tzatziki are homemade. You're greeted and seen off in a friendly manner. This wasn't my first time there, and it certainly won't be my last.

Since the owner asked why my rating was only average, I'm happy to point out what wasn't good: my food was way too salty. Spices are important, and so is salt—but too much is too much. I've decided to mention it when I order next time—maybe that will help?!

It's a really nice restaurant with friendly owners. However, one of our stuffed bifteki was completely undercooked and entirely pink and raw inside. I don't understand how that could have happened, especially since both were put on the grill and taken off at the same time. The currywurst and the chicken nuggets for the children were perfect and very tasty.

Always good. Always friendly. Very tasty. Again and again. 4 years later. I've never experienced anything like this at any other fast-food place. Wrong food, bad enough as it is. Grilled food is great, but certainly not burnt like that. So, boss, I've worked in a fast-food restaurant myself, and in a hotel restaurant, but something like this would never have passed muster. You shouldn't ask for the food, but for the name to take the order. And you should admit your mistakes instead of blaming others. Rafael. I'll be checking out who's behind this soon. Good value for money...always delicious

The atmosphere is fine, and you can enjoy a leisurely meal. The wait isn't long. The staff is friendly. We had fries with a meatball. The fries were crispy and tasty, and the meatball was good. I have to deduct one star because, with currywurst, a few cooked sausages are left on the side and become a bit dry, and we once had a "Taxi" plate where the meat wasn't of optimal quality. But that's nitpicking at a high level, since it's not easy to cook the meat well (it's undercooked or hard, and the meat has too much fat).

The gyros are really delicious. It's a great place to eat.

A good alternative if you don't want to go to a restaurant. You can also sit comfortably outside when the weather is nice. Absolutely good value for money and good portions. The only thing that could be improved is the, in my opinion, inconsistent quality of the meat. Sometimes it's extremely fatty and lacks flavor, but usually it's well-seasoned and not too greasy. All in all, a good place to go for a small or large appetite!

We've been there several times in the last six months, both inside and in the beer garden. We were always greeted warmly, and the food was delicious. Good value for money.

We've been here several times. The staff is super friendly, the waiters behind the counter who prepare the food cater to every request and are super friendly. The food tastes amazing. I can't say it any other way. We're already looking forward to the next time.

I ordered an Imiglykos (according to the menu, a 0.3l bottle for €4) and received a small glass containing approximately 100ml of wine. I mentioned this directly, and the waitress told me to sort it out when paying. When I explained to the lady at the checkout that I had ordered the wine according to the menu, I was very rudely told that it hadn't been available that way for a long time, that the menu was old, and that she would charge €4 for the 100ml. After all, a glass of wine would cost more elsewhere. After I explained to her that it wasn't my fault, and that the same advertisement, "0.3l bottle of Imiglykos €4," was posted on the wall right behind her, I was dismissed as impossible. No realization that they were laying down false cards. So, the guest MUST be clairvoyant. In the end, I wasn't charged for the 100ml glass of wine, as if I were being given alms. By the way, the cashier barely let me speak and kept stressing what I expected. I really didn't need that. I won't let myself be treated like that in front of other guests, even though the fault was clearly the restaurant's. We've been here often and always enjoyed driving a few kilometers here because we actually really enjoy the food. However, this was our last visit there!!! PS: A glass of wine costs €5-6 elsewhere, but then the glass is filled to 200ml.

We've been eating at Gyros Grill for a few years now. Today, however, I'd like to make a few comments. Unfortunately, the cleanliness has suffered quite a bit lately; the seat cushions are really dirty, and there are bugs hanging around in the corners of the room. You don't want to touch the menus because they're so greasy. I'm sorry, but this isn't the first time I've noticed this. It's a shame!!! The outside seating is really nice, but they should pay more attention to hygiene inside. The food was okay, but the portions have shrunk, and the prices have gone up. I think over €30 for two people is a lot for a Gyros Grill. That includes two glasses of water.

We happened upon it by chance. It's actually a nice place. The girls were very accommodating and friendly. I think the ambiance is great. It's not 100% my thing, but it doesn't have to be. But it's great. Now for the most important thing: the food. It was delicious and plentiful. Personally, I would have preferred it if the coleslaw hadn't been on the plate. I also mentioned it because I thought the plate was too small for everything. And that's why it would have been nice to have the salad separately. But that's just nitpicking. As I always say, if you don't go, you can't have a say. It's definitely worth going!

The menus need to be cleaned; the gyro was either really hard or greasy. For the price, the food was a disappointment. I just didn't return the plate because it would have made my companion uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, the food on my visit didn't impress me. The gyro on my taxi plate was particularly disappointing: dry, tough, and unappealing. For a Greek restaurant that's supposed to excel with its meat dishes, this was a real disappointment.

Good food and at the end the famous ouzo was missing

Delicious classic Greek cuisine, friendly service, and relatively inexpensive. The side dish of fries alone could be larger and tastier; there's still room for improvement! Perfectly located for cyclists: Right on the Klöcknerbahn bike path. We'll be back!

As always, it was delicious and filling. Absolutely fantastic for a small restaurant. Many other, more expensive restaurants could learn a thing or two from this...

We ordered gyros with hollandaise sauce and cheese, topped with fries to go. Unfortunately, the meat was incredibly dry, there was hardly any sauce, and the fries were nothing special. Overall, it wasn't really satisfying, and we've had much better food elsewhere. For €25, I think it's also a poor value for the portion. It's a shame.

Worst gyros we've ever eaten.. totally flabby and greasy.. wanted to try it at another Greek place because ours was closed... but never again.. Unfriendly.. makes a face like it's been 3 days of rainy weather.. I wanted to leave first but the young girl was nice... but she was also pampered by the older one with glasses.. I wanted to have the fries packed separately so that they weren't in the tzatziki, but then they wanted to charge me 2 extra fries hahaha.. ridiculous.. I don't know anything like that.. People try Corfu in Jahnstrasse.. Top always nice, great portions, super tasty lean meat... Corfu 5 stars + you'll never get there.. nicer staff would be a start then a lot of things can be sorted out.. I think it was the boss. sorry but that's just what the reviews are for👎

So: The third test case involves taking gyros with onions and pita. Beforehand there was a gyro plate with fries. Every time with coleslaw and tzatziki as standard. First of all: the people are super friendly! Really great! The shop is on a popular bike path and sits on a main street. It probably bothers people less. If you eat fresh there, it could possibly be a little better. Overall, however, I would rate the meal as satisfactory if taken away. The meat was the best, crispy and, above all, homemade. Tzatziki was good. Personally, the coleslaw was way too sour for me. The quantity was okay, but puts the price-performance ratio in the negative. What can I say, the place was full and it almost always is. Test it yourself. In any case, after these three tests I can be found somewhere else.

Very nice grill...greetings from Greece. Very friendly staff. The only complaint was...the lamb was on the grill too long and therefore no longer tender. But it was still okay for me.

Unfortunately I can't give a positive review. I was there with my children, we ordered a grill platter and a portion of fries. My children shared the grill plate, neither of them liked the meat, it was lukewarm and the meatball (bifteki) was watery on the inside and had a bland taste. I then tried it too and didn't like it either. My fries were also only warm Not crispy and somehow we felt sick later. We were also charged too much money, we asked but the gentleman said everything was correct. I had a small french fry not a large one. Well, it was my own fault for not taking the receipt with me 🤷🏼‍♂️.

For me the gyro meat was simply not seasoned enough or not seasoned at all, the service and ambience were great.

I got gyros and fries there today. The meat wasn't crispy at all and tasted like it had been warmed up. Some of the fries were not edible at all and looked like old fat. Only the coleslaw was okay.

Small Greek restaurant, as it is on the bike route in Bergkamen Overberge, you can take a nice break there. There are tables and chairs outside in the partial shade, where you can sit and have a drink and have lunch. The menu is very extensive at good prices. We're going there. rest again.

Very tasty gyros and good currywurst. The Taxi Teller for €8 is also a super cheap offer. I just find it a bit strange that when you ask if you want it complete with tzatziki and mayo, they don't tell you that it COSTS EXTRA! The waitresses are friendly even if customers are rarely overlooked. It's nice to sit here, especially if the outdoor area is open.

We really enjoy being there. The food tastes very good, the staff is friendly and the prices are ok too. So everything is fine.

First of all I have to say that we did NOT leave the snack bar hungry. We ordered a grill platter without coleslaw and a gyro special with a beer and a cola. I got a Zeus plate with coleslaw. That was already wrong. At five o'clock I said okay, I'll take the plate too and that's it. When my wife was waiting for her plate it was also wrong, she got a pepper schnitzel with fries. We let the plate go back because that's just not possible 😤. She finally got her order without any problem and we were able to eat. Then came the third disappointment. When we wanted to pay the bill was incorrect. We paid for a Corfu platter that I didn't even eat, let alone order. Since we paid by card, we received €1 as an apology. That means we paid €3 too much for what we didn't get. That's not how it works at all. The first and last time we went to eat there… the young girl who served us was very friendly and apologized to us…

It's now one of my favorite restaurants, like eating with friends. Very nice staff, food and good value for money. I can recommend it without reservation. I'm happy to take a not insignificant detour because I like it better there than at my Greek restaurant around the corner .Please keep it up, even if here and because another guest doesn't see it that way and doesn't like everyone's taste has different ideas and you can't please everyone.

Updated: Fries are cold and stale. The meat is not cooked properly. Every further chance is lost. Friendly people. The terrace is beautifully designed. For food: A large beer is not on the menu, but you can still get it. The gyro meat is very delicious. I advise against pita bread because it is oily and yet extremely hard with a musty aroma. The farmer's salad is very good. The prices are still moderate. A normal portion of gyros is enough.

It was our first time eating here or taking it away. We didn't like any type of meat, only the steak was ok. Coleslaw without taste, tzatziki tasted like a finished product. After just 10 minutes of driving, the fries were soggy and not necessarily tasty. The gyros we came here for weren't seasoned enough, even the pepperoni that came with it wasn't great. Since the reviews here were actually good, we wanted to try the food here. However, in addition to gyros and the like, there are also schnitzel and other things that we can't say anything about. The ambience looked okay so far, but upon closer inspection there was uncleanliness on the seats and underneath. That's why there are generally only two stars. For us, this was the first and last visit, especially since the price-performance ratio was not achieved and could even be rated as overpriced.

Were here regularly before Corona and were always satisfied. Unfortunately, today, after a long time, that was no longer the case. We ordered a taxi plate and a curry meatball with fries, which felt like it was served in less than 5 minutes. Visually everything was okay at first. My wife was also reasonably happy with her meatball. On my taxi plate, however, the gyros were barely lukewarm and completely dry and the currywurst was not only cold, but the crust was so thick, tough and dried out that it had definitely been on the grill for several hours, if not already at the lecture. Unfortunately, the fries weren't a hit either. The service made some effort to be friendly. The lady who collected the money inside was completely annoyed and grumpy and didn't say a single word other than the amount to be paid. It's a shame actually.

I was there last night and ordered Cürywurst with fries twice. I received the food in about three to four minutes. Unfortunately the fries were already in the bowl to keep them warm and were no longer fresh. I would have liked fresh ones from the deep fryer and not even lukewarm fries They were crispy. And you pay so much money for that.

I ate the Zeus plate there today and it tasted very good. I received a very friendly welcome there, very nice staff there, the atmosphere is also very nice, very bright and friendly. In summer you can also sit outside. The menu is extensive, there is something for every taste and the prices are fair too. A visit there is worth it. A very good and hospitable Greek snack bar.
