Restaurant Plaka in Dortmund

A well-maintained restaurant with a small outdoor seating area. However, this is located directly facing the street, with the S-Bahn (suburban train) line in close proximity; this didn't bother us, though, even though we ate outside. Great service, light Greek cuisine/dishes of good quality. We enjoyed our meal very much.

Our go-to restaurant. It's also extremely suitable for the vegans in the family and has a very large selection. The service is exceptionally good. We highly recommend it!

We've been here twice. This restaurant is highly recommended. We ordered a total of 10 different dishes, and every single one was a delight 😋. We'll definitely be back, especially for the excellent draft DAB beer 🍺👌

The vegan dishes are truly delicious. Unfortunately, their existence isn't mentioned anywhere online. I only discovered the vegan dishes based on reviews. Once I get there, they're available on the menu as usual. The dishes are absolutely nothing to hide, and I enjoyed them more than many things I've eaten elsewhere.

This little shop is truly outstanding. The food is lovingly prepared and presented like a Michelin-starred chef. From vegan and vegetarian to tender pork, there's something for everyone. And the homemade tzatziki is to die for.

We spontaneously stopped here from Lippstadt. It was fantastic! The food, the location, and the staff were outstanding. The welcome from the house was exceptional and memorable. We'd love to come back...!

The ambiance is worn, old-fashioned, and uninviting. The food was okay, but unfortunately the portions were very small. Service was good. I can't recommend it. Went there with a group of 16 people.

We were at Plaka today for a funeral service. Despite Plaka being closed, we were able to eat there. Great service, everything was very well organized, and the food was delicious. From appetizer to dessert, it was 5 stars! I highly recommend this restaurant. The value for money is excellent. Thank you so much for everything.

We were here today for the vegan options. I had the Vegan Souvlaki. It was delicious and the service was very attentive and warm. Definitely a recommendation! The atmosphere was also very pleasant. Everything was very nicely decorated.

Vegan dishes are offered not only at Veganuary, but also permanently. The current offering is to be expanded. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back. The tzatziki as well as the gyros and the pita bread were very tasty. The fries were fried crispy and therefore really good in combination. The vegan baked cheese also tasted very good. #vegan Update, almost 1 year later: We have eaten here with various groups so far and are still very, very satisfied! The dishes are large, the owners are very friendly and no matter whether meat, vegan or vegetarian, everyone gets their money's worth here! The vegan selection has also been expanded to include other dishes, e.g. E.g. delicious vegan souvlaki, stuffed grape leaves, grilled eggplant, etc. We'd love to keep coming! :)

Best place to eat in Wickede. The food is really good, cozy place and the staff is so amazing and friendly. My fav place in town.

Service was nice, the tzatziki portion for the dish was tiny. The zatziki had almost no garlic, but plenty of cucumber. The frozen fries from the hot air fryer tasted like nothing and were lukewarm. The salad with yogurt dressing was also tasteless. The souvlaki portion is much too small, but the price is too high. Sorry, never had such a bad Greek meal before!! 👎👎👎

The interior looked very pleasant. Lots of people, even more warmth in the room. The young service employee acted in an exemplary manner. On the other hand, the food was - unusually - manageable, it tasted good, was decorated more for the eye, but the whistle was missing. At the end there was an Uozo or 'cocktail' on the house. There is a large selection of Greek restaurants to make you definitely want to come back here. The interior is not enough if your head and stomach decide otherwise.

I ate the vegan souvlaki skewers. Super super delicious! I can highly recommend the vegan dishes and the tzatziki is the best there is 😍 The service and hospitality was, as always, a dream 🤩💐

Restaurant RECOMMENDATION: We went there because of the vegan menu: Definitely highly recommended! In addition to the vegan gyros pita, we also ate souvlaki and with the grape leaves we had vegan tzatziki - everything was super delicious!!! We'd love to come back. The only small problem: dogs are not allowed in the restaurant (there was probably a biting incident there).

Unfortunately the food was cold. Very small portion/price performance is not right Extremely much cartilage / pieces of fat with the gyros. Nausea all the time. It's a shame, actually it used to be quite good

The food turned out so bad. Firstly, it's cold and secondly, there are fat pieces in the bottle and it doesn't taste good anymore. Never again here again. It only happened after 5 months and it became so bad that it was just disgusting to eat. But since the prices are so high, that's no longer normal for a restaurant. Not recommended and one star because unfortunately no star is not possible.:(

We were there with a larger group. The table was beautifully set. The service was excellent. The starters arrived very quickly and were very good both visually and in taste. The main courses came at an appropriate distance and were not only a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. Vegans and vegetarians also got their money's worth here. The vegan gyros is really delicious. The service is very friendly. Prices are reasonable for quality and portions. There was an ouzo on the house and gummy bears for the children. We will be back definitely.

The food was good, but unfortunately the portions were a bit too small for the prices in my opinion. There was no bread with the small salad when ordering the Plaka grill plate (the salad didn't make it into the picture;) The service staff are friendly. The creative cocktail after the meal on the house tasted very good.

There were 6 of us eating at Plaka. The waitress didn't write down the order. Then the food came, which was very tasty. She knew exactly who had ordered what for the drinks and dishes as well as the separate bills! My respect but I thought that was excellent service!! And friendliness is very important at Plaka anyway!! Great cozy restaurant, excellent service and very tasty food!!

The baby calamari is particularly excellent. Service very friendly.

Food is ok (grade 3-4)...but nothing more, everything is rather very dry and unseasoned. In any case, it doesn't taste freshly grilled. We would have expected much better from a “Greek”. Plus, we all smelled like a chip shop afterwards. So it's more in favor of warming it up in the deep fryer. That's why everything is at the table very quickly. The atmosphere is nice and although it's rather cramped, you can still have a good time there. We wouldn't visit again.

Restaurant Plaka is a very nice, cozy restaurant. It is a family business with three generations. We went there for the vegan dishes. All dishes were particularly lovingly prepared. Whether it was the moussaka or the vegan gyros or the melizanes with tzatziki, everything tasted incredibly delicious. We were always served attentively, so we didn't lack for anything. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The menu will remain after January and will even be expanded. I'm particularly looking forward to Galaktoboureko😋

We came to this restaurant on a recommendation. It is extremely chic and cozy. The menu is nice and clear and we tried a variety of things with 4 people. Everything was really excellent and well served. I definitely have to mention the employees: extremely good-humoured and helpful people, which has become rare these days. Zufälligerweise haben wir auf Facebook gesehen, dass das Restaurant am Veganuary teilnimmt und vegane Gerichte anbietet. Wir haben uns direkt auf den Weg gemacht und wurden alles andere als enttäuscht! Wir hatten ein überragend gutes Tzatziki, Gyros-Pita und Moussaka. Es war alles wirklich wirklich gut! Beim nach draußen gehen wurde uns dann gesagt, dass die Gerichte so gut laufen, dass es auch im nächsten Monat noch vegane Gerichte geben wird. Wir freuen uns wirklich sehr, darüber! Ihr habt auf jeden Fall 2 Stammkunden mehr 🥳 Achso und habe ich schon das super freundliche und aufmerksame Personal erwähnt? Hier gibt es wirklich ein rundum sorglos Paket.

Im Rahmen des „Veganuary“ wurde veganes Gyros, Veganer Feta sowie Moussaka der Speisekarte zugefügt. Ein absoluter Genuss! Der vegane Feta kam mit Kirschtomaten garniert sehr heiß direkt aus dem Ofen. Die Gyrospita war nicht nur lecker, sie war auch hübsch angerichtet. Das Gyros an sich war geschmacklich richtig gut, die Pommes goldgelb und habe ich das Tzatziki erwähnt? Ein Genuss! Lange haben wir uns gewünscht, dass es sowas mal im Restaurant gibt und wurden endlich fündig! Auf Nachfrage teilte man uns mit, dass die veganen Gerichte so gut ankommen, dass diese wahrscheinlich auf die Standard-Karte kommen! Sollte der Fall eintreffen hat dieses Restaurant ein paar Stammkunden mehr!

Als Hauptspeise gab es vegane Gyros Pita. Es war super lecker!!! Wir freuen uns schon drauf, wenn vegane Gerichte kontinuierlich angeboten werden :-)

Wir haben das komplette vegane Menü bestellt und es war soooo lecker. Es gab Zaziki, Feta gebacken, Pita mit Gyros und Moussaka in vegan. Zusätzlich gibt es noch ein paar Vorspeisen auf der regulären Karte, die auch vegan sind. Wir können es sehr empfehlen, es ist schön dass es mal griechische Küche in vegan gibt.
