I actually avoid Kastanienallee when I want to go out to eat. Too many posers and too many tourist traps. However, with Pasta & Passione last night I had to throw all my prejudices overboard. The store is a real discovery. Price/performance ratio is spot on. The service was nice and the pasta was really fresh, homemade and very tasty. The restaurant ensures that Kastanienallee is better than its reputation!

Good atmosphere, good pasta, good service, good cocktails... really recommended, it is advisable to reserve a table as it was always full

Nach Recherche auf Tripadvisor haben wir uns für dieses Restaurant entschieden und wurden nicht entäuscht. Wir haben einen Platz draußen bekommen. Für Kinder gab es kleingeschnittene Spaghetti mit Bolognese in einer extra Schale. Die Kinder haben das Essen quasi verschlungen. Wir hatten einmal Nudeln mit Trüffel und mit Hänchebbrust. Beides war sehr lecker . Die 4 essen haben zusammen ca 50 Euro gekostet . Das Restaurant hat eine kleine Auswahl an Nachtischen. Das waren große Portionen und unsere Pana cota sehr lecker . Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend.

Good pizza with OK service. However, Pizza Diavolo can get better strength without pure chili. Could have been better but could very well be worse.

Great Italian! Far ahead in terms of taste. Little beer selection, but fair prices for Pberg. We had a bit of trouble getting our order but everything was full. Great job from the waiters under the circumstances. Personally, I would like a little more Bella Italia feeling, but that's a matter of taste.

Great restaurant with a beautiful terrace right on Kastanienallee! The pizzas taste excellent and the prices are fair. Also highly recommended for a quick lunch.

Six of us ate here yesterday and had to wait a while until one of the two waiters finally wanted to take our order. Food came relatively quickly + the portions are large, but each of our dishes was quite oversalted (Carbonara, Lasagne, Pollo è funghi) except for the salami pizza. Unfortunately, it was clear to the waitress that she was in a bit of a bad mood and didn't really care for us, although we were easy to serve. We've eaten here before and there was hardly anything to complain about, but in the future I would prefer to go to another Italian restaurant because there are much better ones, such as Pizza Vira on Warschauer Str., which offers equally large portions for a cheaper price. The food tastes great too!

Since 2014 I live in the neighborhood and go there from time to time. What changed? Nothing!! Since more than 10 years same good quality of food, same friendly people who serve you. Thanks for being (and staying) around 🙏

Homemade pasta is super delicious!

We were there spontaneously for lunch and shared a dish. The food came very quickly and was very tasty. There was also fresh warm bread. We felt very comfortable, gladly again!

I was treated with a lot of disrespect! We had just sat down and the attendant came to ask us if we were going to eat there and then if we would pay for it. Even after all this, she said that we could only order from the pizza menu. We felt completely uncomfortable and left without eating in this GARBAGE place and service! I would never pay to eat in such a disgusting place that treats people like that for free! Foot

I very rarely write a review, looking back on the day I didn't like it. Since we were under time pressure to miss our table reservation, I called, someone answered immediately and I was able to change the time to 15 minutes later without any problems. After arrival, when we asked, they provided us with a vase for the flowers, which we had with us, which was nice. The chairs outside were uncomfortable. Let's get to the food: my spaghetti was still hard and the sauce was quite salty, whereas the sauce in my friend's dish wasn't very aromatic. I was about to complain about what was being served to me. I've never been served hard spaghetti! The bruschetta bread was very dry and looks very sad. The waitress charged me for a tip even though I didn't say anything. I just left it at that because I definitely won't go there again, there are definitely better and more authentic Italian restaurants in Berlin!

They gave us very big portions but my pasta carbonara was great!

Been there several times. I had everything from super tasty to “sporty” salted. Sometimes the pasta tasted very good, then again there was sooo little pasta, but there was a lot of side dishes and sauce, so that everything was floating on the plate and you were somehow "nicely full" for the moment, but nothing more and about 30 minutes. later I was hungry again. The pizza is homemade, you can taste it, you can see it. However, the knives that come with it are so blunt that it's just tiring to eat the pizza "sensibly". You would certainly be better off with a spoon than these "knives". That's no fun, but it takes away from the joy of eating. :( The waiters are sometimes friendly, sometimes annoyed. It also depends on the day of the week. Incorrectly delivered drinks are simply poured over, which is not what you would expect. That's why the pasta is homemade - and depending on who is in the open kitchen, you either have a full plate or go home hungry. The restaurant is otherwise decorated with large pictures, which, with the best will in the world, cannot hide the fact that the restaurant is NOT run by Italians. They are more Turks/Lebanese/Arabs. This is particularly noticeable when it comes to the choice of music. You feel like you're in a bazaar, like you're in an Italian restaurant. All in all ok, if it gets more expensive the prices are no longer justified and I'd rather go to Wilmersdorf to the Italian restaurant.

A restaurant that makes its homemade pasta! The dish was good and plentiful, but lacked a little seasoning. The service is very long, even staggered (up to 30 minutes between two people at the same table)...

We stopped for lunch at Pasta & Passion on a Sunday and were very happy to have done so. Feels like quite a traditional Italian place, with some cool pictures on the walls, and good service. The portions are generous. We have rosemary garlic bread and charcuterie, followed by a Mafiosi pizza and rigatoni with gorgonzola and walnuts. Overall, very satisfied.

Well, the kitchen was open very late in the evening and the portions were stable. Asparagus soup was very tasty, the best of 3 dishes we ordered.

She took our plates before we had chewed and brought the bill before we had asked for it and before we had drunk our wine. She was quite bossy about us tipping, which we didn't think she deserved.

It's not hard to find Italian restaurants in this part of Berlin, so I consider myself lucky to have found this one. There were no recommendations for me to go by, just looking for a dinner place close to my hotel. The aroma from this location and the fact it was packed with locals brought me inside. Guidebooks generally advise finding small neighborhood places with lots of locals and that formula worked for this spot. Pizza would have been an obvious choice, but instead I elected one of their pasta dishes for my first meal. Spaghetti with prawns. Prepared perfectly for my taste. I returned two nights later for their rendition of lasagna, and it was apparently a more authentic version without the defined layers, but more of a loose combination of the sheet pasta and meat sauce and cheese baked together. The pricing was reasonable, the service attentive, friendly and efficient. There were lots and lots of pizzas being ordered for dine in and take out. I have to think the quality was responsible for that. If you're in this part of the city, and want Italian that seems to be authentic, this is a worthy choice

Super tasty pasta with a great price. Shrimp, porcini mushroom and white wine source makes a magical combination for gourmets, and homemade pasta. What more do you want? In my opinion, the restaurant deserves a much better rating - a 4.8 is appropriate.

Good Italian restaurant in a good location. Both pizza and pasta tasted good and were also reasonably priced. The pasta even comes from our own production. The service was quick and direct and humorous, it actually felt a bit like in Italy. One star is deducted because the restaurant doesn't really stand out from other good Italian restaurants in Berlin. That makes it interchangeable for me but that doesn't make it bad at all. If I'm nearby I would still come back.

The pasta is one of the best I have ever tasted, and the Burrata pizza is exquisite.

The Pasta & Passione was really good. The service staff are very fast, attentive and professional. The chefs are incredibly good! Unfortunately, during Corona time, the owner decided to lower the quality of the ingredients. Since then, all notable dishes have only been medium. A lot of frozen food is used. Unfortunately that doesn't taste good anymore. Prices have nevertheless risen sharply. No more recommendation.

Actually not a bad restaurant, but it wasn't that comfortable because there were too many tables and it was therefore quite narrow. The way to the toilet isn't exactly nice either, as the stairs there are very narrow.

Noodles too hard and not so well seasoned. Pizza tastes good, but the toppings are not strong enough. Waiters say “quick, quick” and lose sight of the atmosphere.

Wir waren von den Essen, sowie dem Service richtig begeistert! Es herrscht dort eine total familiäre Atmosphäre und das Essen wurde super schnell serviert. Der Preis war für die Portionen auch gerechtfertigt. Es war ebenfalls kein Problem, die Überreste für den nächsten Tag einpacken zu lassen!! Ich empfehle das Restaurant sehr!!

Good Italian spot in the area. They make fresh pasta and the pizzas are very nice also. The food could be better, but it is pretty good, if you are in the area and craving Italian food with an atmosphere of candles and bustling restaurant, I recommend 🍝

Unser Besuch in bei Pasta & Passione hat uns sehr begeistert. Obwohl wir keinen Tisch reserviert hatten und das Lokal voll wirkte, haben wir einen Tisch bekommen. Die überaus sympathische und freundliche Servicekraft (Jenny wie wir später erfahren hatten), hat uns zu einem guten Wein beraten. Die Zubereitung unserer Pasta konnten wir durch eine Scheibe verfolgen. Alles wurde frisch gekocht und aus der Pfanne, auf den Teller und serviert. Das hat dem Namen Pasta & Passione alle Ehre gemacht. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir gleich für den nächsten Tag (Silvester) einen Tisch reserviert haben. Unser zweiter Besuch war genauso herzlich und mit der derselben Aufmerksamkeit „unserer Jenny„ wie am Vortag. Einfach phantastisch. Auch die Pasta hat wieder hervorragend geschmeckt. Besonders gerührt waren wir von der „süßen Zitrone“ die mit brennen Wunderkerzen an unser Tisch gebracht wurde. Wir können einen Besuch nur empfehlen. Wenn wir wieder einmal in Berlin sind, wird es uns ein Vergnügen sein, hier wieder einzukehren.

Excelente. El mejor italiano al sur de Copenhagen :-) La cocina es un espectáculo, prácticamente dentro del comedor.

Vorab: Das Essen war wie immer super - hatte vorbestellt. Als ich plangemäß ankam rief der Koch "Da haben Sie aber noch mal Glück gehabt." Das habe ich nicht verstanden und ist unpassend - ich komme selbst aus der Gastronomie. Daher gab ich der Servicekraft 5€ Trinkgeld. Da ich beide Hände voll hatte bat ich Sie mir die Tür zu öffnen was einfach ignoriert wurde ... Vielleicht hat sie es auch nicht gehört. Als aufmerksames Personal sehe ich so etwas jedoch als selbstverständlich an. Beim Nächsten Mal würde ich mich freuen wenn man zuvorkommender ist.

First of all, service was awful. Whatever we asked for in english, we got answer in german, which we don’t speak. We waited for drinks like 10min. Food was meh. In general, stay away from this place!
