Mein Bestellung war weiße Spargel mit Kartoffeln und hollandaise. Die Spargel war zu viel gekocht und nicht dicke. Es war schwer die Spargel zu schnitten. Es war nicht als erwartet wann da jetzt gibt’s neue Deutsche Spargel. Service Leistungen war gut.

The absolutely positive reviews surprise me. We were there on Saturday. Food: Sirloin steak and venison with side dishes The price/performance ratio isn't right here. Both dishes tasted average. Service: Very slow. They didn't ask if we liked the food or if we wanted anything else. Ambience: Rustic, nothing special. Nice experience thanks to Schlemmerblock But we wouldn't come back or recommend the restaurant.

Leider muss ich sagen das wir sehr enttäuscht sind. Haben Geburtstag mit 24 gefeiert mit 3 gänge Menue was ein Katastrophe wahr Essen versalzen ente total Zäh, Kartoffeln aus dem Glas hart und versalzen die ente auch zäh. Schade sowas gehört sich nicht. Den Koch müsste man entlassen. Service war top. Obwohl ich der Kellnerin sagte das man es nicht Essen kann.

For the first time, we pre-ordered and picked up a whole goose for Christmas dinner. The waiting time in the restaurant was pleasantly bridged with a free drink. The extremely friendly service was truly remarkable. The owner welcomed us personally. There was a very charismatic atmosphere. We received the roast goose that we could easily prepare ourselves. This was super easy, thanks to the included preparation instructions. The roast and the side dishes tasted like they were freshly prepared in the restaurant: really excellent! We will definitely do this again next year. We will definitely try the food in the restaurant in the new year. Conclusion: Great restaurant, great service, very tasty food. Five stars and worth recommending!

Great restaurant. We have eaten here on various occasions and have never been disappointed! My highlights are the duck and the goose in winter time. The restaurant is definitely in a high price league, but the quality of the food is worth it.

Yo habría dado 5 pero solo me dijeron que era en efectivo solo después de terminar mi comida. Afortunadamente tenía suficiente dinero. Deliciosa comida, generosas raciones, tiene un toque siciliano, no estoy seguro de si lo es. Similar a mi experiencia en Catania.

I was at a seminar at the Hotel Engel for 4 days. Every day there were delicious 3-course menus in the restaurant, which tasted very good regardless of whether it was chicken, steak, pasta or salad.

Absolutely bomb…..beautiful house!!!! Very solid. Great service and a great team!!!!! Always happy again!!!! I would particularly like to highlight the restaurant manager and his team…. We completed a week-long seminar here and received excellent care every day!!! Thank you very much PS and the drinks were GREAT!!!!!!!

Wir haben wieder unser Weihnachtsessen im Papillion bestellt und abgeholt. Das Essen war wie immer perfekt. Wir haben Bauernenten mit Rotkohl, Kroketten und Klößchen gegessen. Auch wenn die Abholung wegen eines technischen Defekts etwas problematisch war, hat uns das aufmerksame Servicepersonal die Wartezeit sehr angenehm gestaltet. Vielen Dank. Nächstes Jahr sind wir wieder mit dabei.

Delicious food, unfortunately not accepted in time despite reservation. Total chaos on Christmas Day. However, the waiting time was made up for. There was a glass of champagne on the house.

We ordered dinner to pick up for Christmas this year 2024. Everything worked smoothly, the service was excellent and most importantly, the food was very good. For the quality and portion size, the price of the food was very reasonable and affordable. The pick-up service gave us a totally relaxed Christmas. Hopefully this service will be offered again next year.

Impossible, actually zero points. Were reserved for 5:30 p.m. Arrive on time, but there is no table available! Wait half an hour, but nothing is available. Had to go again. Total chaos on site and completely overwhelmed staff.

Top. Our families have been having Christmas parties there for years. There is a separate party room to book. Good traditional home cooking, everyone will be fed. Service is very kind and thinks along with you. Excellent, especially with small children.

We have been regular guests for many years and once again this year we ate the "oven-fresh roast goose" for 4 people. Unfortunately, instead of the delicious goose fat, there was only quark with the bread. Three years ago there were geese from Schönmoorer Hof, they were excellent in terms of meat and taste. Despite a price increase of €50 (within 3 years), the quality has deteriorated year after year. This year the goose was much smaller and the meat was very dry. We will eat our roast goose in another restaurant in the future and will no longer recommend you. Ronald Kern

Today we had goose dinner with the family. The second time. And not the last time. That means a lot because my father-in-law is demanding. In short: it tasted good, the service was very attentive, the music was pleasant and not too loud and last but not least: the ambience is high quality, with real tablecloths and napkins...

We were here for a Christmas dinner on Friday evening. The food was very good. But... the drinks (Cola and Spezi) were stale and contained zero carbon dioxide. The staff (an older lady with a lint hairstyle) seemed unmotivated/inattentive and relatively unfriendly. The younger lady was very motivated to clear up while I was still eating (reached over plates while eating) It's best to order drinks in advance because you sometimes have to wait over 20 minutes for them if you don't completely forget them

Food is not exactly cheap in terms of price-performance ratio. In addition, you sometimes have to wait longer when ordering. The service didn't seem really customer-oriented and was stressed. Parking spaces are available but only limited.

The menu today was also super delicious. After each course we were politely asked when we should continue. So we were able to fully enjoy the food and drinks. It was a lovely evening all round. The service staff was super nice. If we come back to Hamburg, we will eat here at the Hotel Engel in Niendorf and at the Papillon.

Unfortunately we were only here in Hamburg for one night. There were four of us (2 adults and 2 children). A nice restaurant. A very good kitchen. The price performance is also good. A courteous service. We would be happy to come back.

Schöner Aussenbereich. Speisenauswahl ist Standard, aber gut. Service ist eher unterdurchschnittlich, man kriegt nicht immer unbedingt das, was man bestellt hat.

Nice restaurant with a great menu. During a conference we had a great choice between Asian curry, Italian pasta and a tuna salad, the portion of which was very generous! We can definitely recommend this!

We stayed at the Hotel Engel for the EHF Final Four and were at Papillon Essen on Friday and Saturday. Very good food and very friendly staff Boss. Unfortunately, Sunday was a rest day otherwise we would have liked to have eaten there on Sunday too. If we are in Hamburg again we would love to come back.

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Abend anlässlich des 90sten Geburtstags meiner Mutter im stilvollen Restaurant Papillon verbracht. Die Planung der Feier mit der Geschäftsführung für 30 Gäste war sehr hilfreich. Die Durchführung hat hervorragend geklappt. Das Essen und die Getränke waren lecker und das Serviceteam unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Den Empfang haben wir in der Hotellobby durchgeführt, was zum Kennenlernen der Gäste untereinander seitens des Management eine sehr gute Idee war!

We were guests in December and enjoyed a delicious goose with red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, croquettes and small dumplings at Papillion. The price also included a bottle of a very good Primitivo. So in February we were very excited to see whether the new owner would also offer a whole duck with side dishes. And we were not disappointed! The duck was crispy, juicy and super tasty, as were all the side dishes we already knew from the Christmas goose. The service was very attentive, unobtrusive and friendly. A visit to Papillion is really worth it, especially since there will be great specials in the near future, such as: B. Spare ribs all-you-can-eat and an Easter brunch. We are already looking forward to our next visit!!

Ate there with my mother and sister. There was a good atmosphere and the service was top notch. Nothing was too much, Mr Mourad in particular was very attentive. We will definitely go back there.

Here you can get a whole goose with side dishes if you order in advance. Incl. A bottle of red wine as there weren't many other guests there, we had the very attentive and friendly service for us and were able to eat our fill.

We have been regular customers for a long time. Yesterday's meal with my parents was excellent, as always. Very nice staff, the new owner is super nice and personable. We'll be back, top restaurant.

We were here for the Christmas & New Year's Eve menu. The food and service were top. Requests were addressed. A real recommendation.

Wir haben zu Weihnachten insgesamt 4 Enten toGo bestellt. Diese waren verteilt auf den 23. (eingeschweißt) und den 26. (frisch zubereitet). Wir waren bei beiden Lieferungen sehr erfreut, dass das sehr hohe Niveau des Restaurants in Bezug auf Qualität und Service ohne Zweifel beibehalten werden konnte. Nächstes Jahr sind wir wieder mit dabei.

Wir sind seit vielen Jahren Stammgäste und waren unter der Leitung von Fam. Nehrmann immer super zufrieden. Es fing schon schlecht an, denn wir bekamen nicht den bestellten Tisch, mussten im kalten Nebenzimmer (zwischen Restaurant und Hotel) sitzen und wurden nicht von Ruth bedient. Der neue Inhaber, der sich nicht vorstellte und meinte der Inhaber wäre in der Küche, war sehr aufdringlich und ständig am Tisch und wollte uns Getränke aufschwatzen. Sehr unangenehm! Der Preis für das Menü ist eine Frechheit! Die Gänsekeule kostet als Gericht 29,99 Euro. Für eine Brühe ohne Klößchen und ein einfaches Tiramisu 30,00 aufzuschlagen, ist eine Frechheit!! Der Nachtisch sah und schmeckte nach nichts und war sehr übersichtlich.... kein Vergleich zu den Vorjahren! Die Gans war gut, das wars dann aber auch schon... Leider kein gelungener 1. Weihnachtstag. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht und kommen nicht wieder!! Schade! Nicht jeder kann ein Restaurant führen und Gäste passend bedienen!!!
