GRILL in Hamburg

We went there for a goose meal and it was great! The food is a culinary delight. The staff is excellent and cannot be praised enough. The carving on site and the sommelier's recommendation couldn't have been better. Always attentive and yet reserved, something you rarely find today. Overall, it was another fantastic evening for us. Absolutely recommended and once again the staff and management deserve special praise.

As a family, we have been visiting the Four Seasons Hotel on and off for 15 years and the grill is one of the main reasons why. The whole team is very friendly and creates a very pleasant atmosphere. The renovation last year further developed the old charm. As a starter you can recommend the lobster rolls, the scallops and the beef consommé. The main courses Wiener Schnitzel, Saison Burger and the chicken breast are all very tasty. On our last visit we tried the Oldenburg Land Duck and that was definitely the right decision. Together with the presentation at the table and the delicious side dishes, it was a great experience. Homemade ice cream is recommended for dessert. A special highlight is Crêpe Suzette, which is flambéed at the table. There are exclusive pralines from Sprüngli to accompany your coffee. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the grill!

Second visit within this week. Nice and professional service and you feel like you're in good hands. Very nice and high-quality ambience, where everything fits well in terms of color and style. The employees' clothing is also very selected and attractive. The food, as expected, was great and I have nothing to complain about, except that the Wiener Schnitzel could have had a few more fried potatoes.😜😊 Thank you and see you soon.

Wonderful evening in an enchanting atmosphere with delicious food, good wine and very friendly staff. It's not that I've never eaten better, but the whole thing is a special and memorable experience.

Tatar als Vorspeise war mega, dem Burger fehlte meiner Meinung nach ein wenig Pepp für die 34 Euro. Aber nochmals, es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit der Familie mit sehr nettem Service.

Zwei Sitzungszeiten in der Preisklasse finde ich unpassend. Sehr viele Ansätze vom Nikkei Nine übernommen. Eine eigene Handschrift vom Grill (trifft nicht auf die Speisekarte zu) ist schwer erkennbar. Leider wurde bei der Reservierung nicht auf die beiden Sitzungszeiten hingewiesen. Ebenfalls wurde versäumt mitzuteilen, dass Umbauarbeiten stattfinden. Auch war die traditionelle Zubereitung des Crêpe Suzette am Tisch nicht möglich. Sehr sehr aufmerksamer Service. Überraschte mit einem netten Geburtstagsständchen sowie einer kulinarischen Überraschung für das „Geburtstagskind“! Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass das Restaurant an einem Montag geöffnet hat.

I went for my anniversary to GRILL. And it was amazing! the food was amazing! it was really well prepared. the ambiance was very beautiful and fancy. the service was like nothing I have ever experienced! we got congratulated by many waiters with our anniversary! And we even got rose pedals on our table! overall it was an amazing experience and I will come back with my girlfriend! I would definitely suggest having dinner at GRILL.

The ‘Grill’ used to be an art deco masterpiece! Since its renovation however, it transformed into an ‘Instagram’ show off place, overloaded with decoration - very nouveau riche. The worst thing is the introduction of different seating times, making it more of a volume business, rather than allowing guests to enjoy an unforgettable night as it used to be. Really sad to see the changes, but maybe as a 40 year old, I’m not the target group anymore.

Classic grill menu in the best possible sense, prepared to the point with great attention to detail, the highest quality, opulent wine list, absolutely seductive the newly designed boudoir: a true work of art has been created here. We would like to thank everyone, especially the attentive and relaxed service, but also the interior design geniuses of this room, Parisian elegance, the lightness of the south transferred to the Hanseatic city. Zu einem Geburtstagsessen mit Freunden waren wir im Jahreszeiten Grill - Es war wieder sehr schön. Obwohl ich nicht ganz verstehe wieso Eltern mit Säuglingen den Grill aufsuchen. Das Kind schrie die ganze Zeit. Dafür kann das Kind nichts. Und der Jahreszeiten Grill auch nicht. Nichtsdestotrotz war unser Abend sehr gelungen - Leckeres Essen, leckere Getränke und sehr leckere Speisen. Im Detail gab es ein Pfifferlingsrisotto, Rinderfilet und ein Tomahawk Steak für Zwei. Die Speisen waren zum Niederknien. Als Desert gab es einen Apple Crumble zum Teilen und zwei Crêpe Suzette. Auch hier alles super. Service stets aufmerksam. Danke für den wunderschönen Abend!

Wer hier war und es nicht zu schätzen und genießen weiß, ist verloren. In allerbesten Sinne klassisches Grill – Menü, mit großer Aufmerksamkeit zum Detail auf den Punkt zubereitet, allerhöchste Qualität, opulente Weinkarte, absolut verführerisch das neu gestaltete Boudoir: Hier ist ein wahres Gesamtkunstwerk entstanden. Wir danken allen, insbesondere vom aufmerksamen und entspannten Service, aber auch den innenarchitektonischen Genies dieses Raumes, pariserische Eleganz, Leichtigkeit des Südens in die Hansestadt transferiert. Einmalig!

The receptionist was very friendly and we immediately felt very comfortable. The starter was excellent, although one might think about serving a small potato pancake more with three salmon rolls. The steak was of very good quality and comparable to Theo's in preparation and taste. The only problem was that the steak was extremely salty and therefore didn't taste good. It was just barely edible. When the waiter came and asked how it tasted, I said it was too salty, but didn't ask for another one since I had already eaten half of it. I thought it was a shame that the waiter didn't respond. Looking back, I don't know why I ate the steak even though I wasn't satisfied. But something like that shouldn't have happened in a restaurant in this price range. All in all, it was still a nice evening. Finally, I would recommend differentiating yourself more clearly from Theo's. Of course the interior is much nicer, but the menu is missing something special, such as Beef Wellington. Something that is not available in other restaurants.

Since the very elegant restaurant was located in our hotel, we visited it at lunchtime and enjoyed an excellent lunch. All of the food we ate was excellent. Meat and fish were top. All employees are very respectful, always polite and helpful. As is the case in the entire hotel. We had a very nice afternoon. Absolutely recommended.

I was passing by the street when I turned around and saw the Hotel and looked for information and it said Restaurante Grill, I entered and I loved the food, the service and a charming Spanish woman who served us in our Spanish language. I felt well cared for.

Delicious food and good wine recommendations. Today's fish is the best fish dish I've tasted and the beef tartar was gigantic. Both things were arranged at the table. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere, although the place is very posh and expensive. Our waiter Connor (and the others) were very helpful and had a good sense of humour. All in all a really good experience.

In my humble opinion the best steak restaurant in Hamburg. Point. But first things first: My best friend and I were at the Hotel Vier Seasons on Friday at 5:30 p.m. to get us in the mood for the evening with a small pre-dinner cocktail. The beautiful hall, which is located directly in front of the restaurant, is simply iconic, homely and invites you to linger. So we snuggled up in the armchair and enjoyed a wonderful, tangy whiskey sour. A very nice lady accompanied us to the restaurant at 6 p.m. sharp, where we immediately took our place on the gallery. We had a great view over the main room and also a small sofa. That's why for us it's the best place in the whole house. Our contact person for the evening was Johann, who looked after us with an incredible amount of charm, reserved attention and extensive product knowledge. At this point, thank you very much, dear Johann, you and your colleagues ensured an unforgettable evening with your impeccable service. Ambiance and service are two extremely important aspects of a restaurant, but the food comes first. And that was just a bomb! We had Ossietra Caviar, Scallops and Lobster Rolls as starters. The caviar was creamy, slightly mineral, pleasantly salty and very umami. The scallops were grilled to perfection and the combination with the champagne foam was simply brilliant. Definitely try it! The lobster rolls were nicely spicy thanks to the iconic Old Bay seasoning and the lobster was sweet and light. All in all, a harmonious atmosphere from the sea. On Johann's recommendation, the starter was accompanied by probably the most delicious rose sweet wine I have drunk in my life. For the main course we chose the Chateaubriand from Greater Omaha Packing Inc. and the Jack's Creek Wagyu. Both were beautifully carved at the table (Dinner and a Show is always great, but more on that later...) and were perfectly medium-rare. The Chateaubriand was as tender as butter and the knife barely had any trouble cutting it. The taste is slightly nutty, intensely meaty and with a nice crust. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was just butter in the best sense of the word. It melted in the mouth with a very, very light bite. World class. It is said that dessert is the most important course in a meal because you leave the restaurant thinking about dessert. And the grill at Four Seasons delivered. Here I also take up the Dinner and a Show aspect again, because in addition to a Creme Brulee (my personal favorite dessert), we also ordered the Crepes Suzette. Johann then prepared these in front of our eyes (and our corresponding enthusiasm), with the flash of flame during flambéing being of course the highlight. No matter how many times I see it, it's always cool. Both tasted great and were an absolutely worthy end to our menu. Thank you for an incredibly lovely evening.

Today he very charmingly explained the design concept of this beautiful restaurant to me when Gaesyecda was still barely there - and you could tell - he loves Faurmont and his work there. Grill is one of the 3 Restaurants inside the 4 Season in Hamburg, the restaurant has an amazing view over the Internal lake of the city, very central, the Restaurant offer a very various menù from Pasta to Burgers and Grilled fish to Beef tartare, everything served and presented in a very 4 Season way, the prices are normally higher then around, but that's to be expected in such a place, service is impeccable, food has certainly and high quality. The wine menù is wide, with a good choice from Germany, Austria, France and Italy. Location: 9 Vibes: 8 Service: 9 Food: 9 Wine Menù: 8 Absolutely a must try in Hamburg for a special occasion. For 2 people with a bottle of wine the price is going to be around 300-400€ for the dinner

Ist und bleibt ein besonderer Ort für einen Business Lunch, elegante Atmosphäre, aufmerksamer Service, köstliches Essen.

Es war ein wunderschöner Abend im Grill mit sehr gutem Essen, einem hervorragenden Wein und perfekten Service.

Es ist ein einmaliges und wunderschönes Erlebnis im Grill zu speisen; das Ambiente, die Dekoration, die Möbel und besonders der sehr gute Service sind hervorzuheben; da das Preisniveau jedoch sehr hoch ist, für mein Befinden könnte der Preis etwas moderater sein; denn auch die Person mit einem schmaleren Geldbeutel möchte doch in den Genuss kommen, das Restaurant zu besuchen. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder, aber leider nicht jeden Monat.

Wie seit eh und je ist ein Mittagessen im Grill wie Balsam für die Seele. Das Ambiente, die Kulisse, der Service, einfach alles ist hier stimmig. Einziger Wermutstropfen: für 2 Personen ohne Wein mittags EUR 200,00 auf der Abrechnung zu lesen, das ist schon sehr happig!

Nichts davon ist empfehlenswert, die Umgebung ist durchschnittlich, das Essen schmeckt nicht gut. Mittagessen für zwei Erwachsene und ein Kind kostet 500 Euro. Die Hummersuppe schmeckt seltsam und die Bedienung ist mittelmäßig.

Very nice atmosphere. Very courteous staff. Toilets good but only paper towels and no hand cream...poor for 5*. Cole slaw with the burger tasted like the refrigerator and smelled unfresh. Was then replaced with cucumber salad. Crèpe Suzette was supposed to be flambéed at the table, but it came to the table ready on the plate...what a shame! It wasn't announced that way. Monkfish was average. Shrimp cocktail was optional. All in all, the food is completely overpriced and, above all, it doesn't do justice to a 5* hotel. The ambience is great and the DJ is very good, but overall it's not worth the high price.

Very fresh and pleasant atmosphere! The grand hotel vibe is comparable to the main establishments in France and Switzerland, the food wasn't particularly sophisticated but is in keeping with a classic bistrot style. The price is absolutely reasonable, and drinks can also be ordered from the bar. Overall, definitely a recommendation.

Food: Fresh fish, very good selection of meat. Great selection. Everything fresh. Everything is very high quality. Special requests or allergies are no problem. Drinks: huge selection of high quality. Everything was perfectly prepared. Refills are always given. Service: extremely fast, friendly and attentive. Very personal. Ambiance: harmonious and simply cozy and not aloof. You feel good. The only drawback. The fireplace was running and it was extremely warm at the end.

now this is an experience booked about a week in advance for a special occasion. My special request for the occasion was taken care of at the end of the meal without a reminder. Excellent. From the moment one enters you are taken care of very well. Service standards are excellent. Excellent choice of wines and aperitifs, including the Martini bar. The risotto is perhaps one of the best ever. The burger was decent. An excellent place to not only have a nice meal but also to savor the experience. Paid parking is available at the hotel at about Euro 6 or 7 / hour.

Das Restaurant The Grill ist im fernen vier Jahreszeiten, wirklich ein Juwel. In mitten des Restaurants, die Bar mit Barkeeper Chris. Aktuell der beste und innovativste Barkeeper in Hamburg. Seine Freestyle Cocktails sind unfassbar und man kann es mit Worten nicht beschreiben. Der perfekte Service vom gesamten Service Team im Restaurant macht einfach nur Spaß und Freude, die Gerichte sind auf allerhöchste Niveau. Es ist ein absolutes Erlebnis und nicht nur ein normaler Restaurantbesuch hier.

The careful "renovation" has done the grill in the Hotel Four Seasons a lot of good - the murals in particular are unique. As expected, the service at HVJ is of course at the highest level - but in my opinion, the grill doesn't quite match its prices when it comes to food. A great location for a lunch on the Binnen-Alster!

Amazing service Eat Ambiance All 10/10 points Priced more than fair!!! We had a large selection of lobster, caviar, crab legs & oysters. The starter was more than successful! For the main course we had a Chateaubriand with various side dishes, here too 10 out of 10 points! We will be back definitely.

Service wasn't ok. No wine list shown, although wishes to drink wine were expressed. 50 minutes waiting time on the main slope. Immediately after dessert we were asked to pay the bill and clear the table. If the main course had been served on time, this problem would not arise at all. The service staff didn't even know whether the tartare was hand-cut. Something like that doesn't belong in a restaurant in this price range. The quality of the food is top. All dishes prepared perfectly. Ambient is great. Shame about the service.

From the reception by the hostess to the aperitif at the Martini Bar and the good service at the table, everything is perfect. 10/10 the steaks and seafood selection is simply bomb. We will definitely be back

First of all, it should be noted that the food is still impeccable. Whether the interior design innovations are an improvement, ingratiation with the zeitgeist or both is a question of attitude. In any case, what is annoying is the fact that after asking for the wine list, the full one is not brought, in which, in addition to the usual overpriced labels, there are also price/performance miracles, a small one is handed over that only contains the first-mentioned items. What's really frustrating, as in so many restaurants, is the service. Just our highlight should be mentioned here: the waiter pours the wine from the new bottle (different vintage than the previous bottle) into the glasses that still contain the other wine...

Update Weihnachten 2023: Obwohl der Laden komplett voll war, super Service. Alle wirklich total professionell und freundlich (wie immer). Da wir hier immer gerne Steak essen, versuchten wir dieses Mal das Porterhouse. Dies war leider keine 10/10. Etwas zäh und sein Geld - gerade im Gegensatz zum Filet, was hier Spitze ist - nicht wert. Ambiente/Deko sehr opulent, sieht nach Beverly Hills aus, viel Gold und überladen. Dies ist aber OK, da gerade das Vier Jahreszeiten zur Weihnachtszeit immer sehr dick auftischt was Deko angeht. Weiterhin 5 Sterne Noch ein Restaurant der alten Klasse, vom Service bis hin zum Besteck alles sehr schön. Steak essen kann man dort auch gut

Überraschende Erfahrung im 4-Jahreszeiten im Grill ! Ende September waren wir Gast im renovierten Grill des Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg. Meine Frau und ich waren dort mit Geschäftspartnern zum Essen. Da wir etwas zu früh eingetroffen waren, haben wir zunächst Drinks in der Lobby genommen. Die Damen Champagner, wir Longdrinks. Danach sind wir in den Grill gegangen und haben unsere Speisen ausgewählt. Bereits die Speisekarte barg einige preisliche Überraschungen: alle Preise lagen weit über dem Durchschnitt von guten Restaurants, was ich gerne zahle, wenn die Qualität stimmt. Dennoch überraschte es mich, dass Austern von Gillardeau deutlich preiswerter waren als „Sylter Royal“ – 4,50 € für eine exzellente Gillardeau zahle ich gerne, im Verhältnis zum 7,50 € für eine Sylter Royal. Die Gillardeau haben wir dann auch bevorzugt. Die Preisgestaltung bei den Hauptspeisen bot dann weitere Überraschungen. Mein Geschäftspartner und ich wählten jeder ein Kalbskotelett namens „double chop“, während meine Frau und die Gattin meines Geschäftspartners sich einen „catch of the day“, ein kleiner Steinbutt, teilen wollten.Hier vergaßen wir zu fragen, was der Fisch kostet… Da wir kleinere Portionen erwarteten, haben wir vorweg eine Seafood-Etagere für 4 Personen bestellt. Diese können wir empfehlen, optisch und geschmacklich einwandfrei. Bei den Hauptspeisen sah es schon anders aus. Mein Geschäftspartner wollte das Kalb medium, ich medium rare. Sein Kalb kam mit deutlichen Grillstreifen an, meines ohne Grillstreifen, sah eher nach sous vide aus – sehr merkwürdig in einem Grill... Die Qualität war unbefriedigend. Ich hatte das Kalb empfohlen, weil es in der exzellenten Sansibar auch aus Holland kommen sollte und dort immer sehr zart ist. Hier im Grill war es zäh und 10 € teuer zzgl. Beilagen a je 6-15 €. Der Fisch für die Damen kam etwas später und war maximal ein Babysteinbutt – auf der späteren Rechnung wurden dafür 184,- € ausgewiesen, natürlich zzgl. Beilagen. Dieser kostet in der Sansibar auf Sylt 55,- € inkl. Beilagen und schmeckt auch noch besser. Im Grill gibt es kein Champagnerkraut oder andere kreative und gut schmeckende Beilagen – dafür Essiggurkensalat und Gratin. Geschmacklich waren die Hauptspeisen allenfalls Mittelmaß. Am Besten war der der Wein, zwei Meur Tessier. Ich habe inkl. Espresso knapp 1.000,-EUR gezahlt und das negatives Erlebnis als Erfahrung weggebucht. Vielleicht war der Koch ja ausgefallen – aber die Preisgestaltung deutet auch auf erhebliches Verbesserungspotential hin. Ich empfehle dem Grill-Personal mal eine Ausflug in die Sansibar – dort stimmt die Qualität seit Jahren! Eines hat das sich Grill-Personal doch von der Sansibar abgeguckt: als Gast werden Sie jetzt dort auch geduzt.
