I had few expectations and was very positively surprised. The welcome was warm. The fact that the service sings along to the songs on the playlist (and does it really well!) really puts you in a good mood. The room is very nicely decorated and doesn't seem overloaded. The tables will be cleaned immediately after leaving for the next guests. The food came quickly, even though the store was full. Plus it was just really INCREDIBLY delicious!

I really didn't expect much, I thought it was a completely normal shop, I don't live in Hamburg but very far away and I just had a meal here because I didn't know where else. Very tasty Korean fried chicken, the chicken is juicy and crispy at the same time. They do everything right here, including the taste. The sides and fries with benefits are great… the kimchi is very, very tasty. Service was top and everything at fair prices. We'll be back.

NEVER AGAIN!! Some of my bites weren't done, I had stomach cramps and total nausea immediately after the first bite, which lasted for a long time.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time to be served. In terms of taste, I have definitely eaten better Korean chicken. We had sweet chili and soy garlic - if you eat there, definitely go for sweet chili!

We were there twice within 2 days. At lunchtime. As part of a Hamburg vacation. We had Japche with beef. And a kimchi beef burger 🍔 And very nice Crispy Poultry Mandu. Was great. Amount of taste was optimal. Both times the same quality and portion size. Prices are clear for Hamburg city center. Great team. Friendly, good advice. My recommendation is to try Malt Bae which is a pear juice drink with pieces of fruit. If we are in Hamburg again we will go there again.

Service very friendly, boneless bites tender and good portion size. But in my opinion the sauce had... Little to do with KOREAN, which is not surprising since the staff speaks Vietnamese among themselves.

We were there with a larger group for dinner and karaoke. It was absolutely great, but we ordered way too much. A little information from the staff would have been nice, for example that kimchi was included, then we wouldn't have had to order it twice ;) Otherwise everything was great!

Had a great experience at Chingu. Ordered: 12 pieces of sweet chili bites (9/10) 6 pieces of chili spicy (9/10) Crispy chicken burger (7/10), great taste but really hard to keep it together. Had to resort to knife and fork. Classisc fries (10/10) Just one minor thing could be that the cola did not have any fizz hence just tasted like cold sweet water The service was quick and the staff is friendly

Hello everyone! Wow! I'm just excited!!! My daughter recommended this restaurant to me because she has often eaten there with her friends and she loves the food there. The employees are polite, courteous, and the prices are very good (even for Hamburg city center standards). The food is incredibly tasty! The next time I'm in Hamburg, I'll definitely eat there again. I highly recommend this restaurant!

2024.05.30: we order the chicken bites, 12 of them. Pretty huge amount. The kimchi fries are really good, bit spicy, really good spicy. The drinks are also fine. Service is super nice too, people are especially kind.

If you want to eat AUTHENTIC Korean food, avoid this place. Everyone go to Seoul 1988, Wagu Wagu, Kimchi Guys, Asia Imbiss (Max-Brauer-Allee), San and Bballi Kimbap. Don't waste your time with this kind of crap. Because of Korean hahahaha

Very tasty Korean fried chicken for a very good price. Here you can choose how many pieces you want and whether with or without bones. This dish is super easy to share. You can also order extra side dishes and a super tasty rice portion for little money. I personally find the pickled cucumbers and the pickled radish super tasty and very suitable, as they contrast with the fried hearty chicken with their fresh character. For me this is the perfect combination. Plus some soju (Korean alcoholic drink, good as a shot) if you want. I can also highly recommend the fries here. The perfect crunch! I would recommend this again and again.

The food was delicious, but a bit expensive for the portions you get. The walls are a bit dirty, but with the friendly staff you quickly forget about them.

We were there on a Friday night at around 9:00 and we were asked to sit inside. The staff were friendly and fast. The food was not great though. We ordered one serving of boneless Korean chicken and one bibimbap. The bowl of bibimbap was smaller than what I had in other places and the ratio of rice to vegetables and meat was too high. Not that much of a variety in vegetables either. The Korean chicken tasted good with a hint of lemon grass, but it didn't seem freshly cooked. Prices are also higher than average Korean bistros with many things like sauces, kimchi etc offered as add-ons for a price.

The Korean restaurant CHINGU, Kurze Mühren 13, among others, with lots of terrace seating and a very young, friendly service team. I had a delicious BIBIMBAP - a hot stone pot with various vegetables, rice, a fried egg and your choice of shrimp, beef or chicken, with extra hot pepper paste. On Hein-Hoyer-Str. 3, in St. Pauli is the Korean restaurant CHINGU II.

Phew, difficult. The food was okay, came quickly and I understand that Uber Eats takes 30% of the revenue, but 14.50 for a hand-counted 10 tteokbokki is a disgrace. The dish literally consists of rice cakes, hot sauce and an egg, worth 3 euros if you buy expensively. There's more in an Insta-Ramen cup...

I really liked the restaurant! The employees were nice and the food came quickly! I ate japchae with tofu and thought it was delicious! The menu only said “various vegetables”, so if you don’t like mushrooms, for example, I would ask for more detailed information beforehand. I'd love to come back 🥰

It was my first time here and it was generally my first time eating Korean food. The chicken was simply bomb and is a clear recommendation. The sweet potato fries and sauces were also great. The 3 were a small minus!! Shrimps for €7.50 were just OK. The shop is rather small, but you can still have a good time. The service is very good and fast. I'd love to come back!

The food was very tasty, but on the expensive side. When you order a burger, you really only order the burger, so you have to order sides separately. I would recommend the kimchi pommes, a completely new taste for me, but very tasty.

Attentive, friendly service and even as a single person this time I was able to eat well there. They have vegan burgers with Beyond Meat. Unfortunately, the combination with this type of kimchi as found on the menu is not really tasty. To achieve this, the portion size of the fries needs to be highlighted positively, as does the combination with the sweet chili mayo. The homemade lemonade was also delicious, but unfortunately completely non-carbonated. Price was a bit too high in general, but still within reason.

Lage: Zentral, in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofes. Bedienung: Freundlich Essen: Es gibt koreanisches Essen und koreanisch inspirierte Burger. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und war lecker. Ich war mit meiner Frau dort, aber auch schon mal vorher mit meinem Sohn. An kann auch Essen mitnehmen. Wir sind alle sehr zufrieden mit diesem Restaurant. Fazit: Perfekt für nach Feierabend oder Stadtbummel Essen. Gerne wieder.

Unfortunately only 1 star, although the food was passable. As the only dine-in person, I was seated in the most uncomfortable place in the middle, even though I had expressed a desire to sit against the wall or window. As you can see in the photo, there were free tables for 5 and 6 next to and behind me and they were not occupied during my stay. They could have pushed a small table next to mine for a group of four (if one had come) and offered me a place against the wall. I was told they always have to take precautions. So I sat right in front of the kitchen door, at the entrance to the toilet. After me came two women who were also not allowed to sit at the table for four by the window. Unpleasant to be treated as second class as a single diner or even two. Too expensive for the quality. Unfortunately not recommended, at least not as an individual or couple. 👎

Easy to find as it is only few minutes from the hbf. I really liked the beef bowl. The sweet chili chicken was a bit too sweet but generally, the food is pretty good. The staff is friendly and serving is also quick.

Very good service, even better food! Went there with a friend, the picture shows what we ordered. Two Crispy Chicken Burgers, Sweet Potato Fries and their Chicken Wings. They all tasted very good and freshly made. We paid about 21€ (incl. Drink) per Person. Can only recommend!

It's a busy place in busy shopping area. I was delighted to stumble upon a Korean place in the middle of this. Although it seems to be run by a Vietnamese family, doesn't mean the food is going to be bad right? We ordered a Kimchi Chigae (stew) with pork and tofu and a Galbi Burger. The stew was decent tastewise although it was a bit watery. The burger on the other hand was disappointing as it was just a regular burger, couldn't taste any Galbi (marinated beef). We also had a side of Kimchi Fries, which were interesting but not awesome. All in all I would probably go somewhere else if looking for good Korean food in Hamburg. Oh, and we were allowed to bring our dog into the restaurant, which is a plus.

I always feel when visiting somewhere staff shouldn't just ok things then act differently when called on it. For example I asked for wings with the least sugars or with no sauce. I got told Chilli. Nope all you could taste was sugar. It's €4 for a carafe of sparking water. But when ordering i asked if I could pay with card as the total was less than €20 limit they have. I was told, it's ok. I would have happily gone to a cash point. At the bill point they tried to tell me the difference is a tip which I'm required to pay in Germany. This isn't my 1st trip and I've never been told/or heard tipping is mandatory. I dont care for the difference, I do care when staff try to act foolish with customers. Anyway, the food. It's ok. Not great. It's basically KFC wings with sauce and more pricey. Not worth another visit in my opinion. The rice is dry and overcooked. I personally would avoid. Might look good on social media but not if you like your cheat meal to be worth it.

I was in Hamburg for an overnight stay on my way to Norway and after a delayed train journey from Koln, I was in serious need of some good food. I went out to explore the neighbourhood and see what was locally available, I stumbled across Chingu, Kurze Mühren 13, which was a 5 min walk from where I was staying. This is a small place with limited seating and feels more like a grab and go location rather than a sit comfortably and chill location, although the vybe, music and ambience was cool and welcoming. I was greeted warmly by the staff who spoke fluent English, I proceeded to order 12 Korean Fried Chicken Bites and Nude Pommes (chips) to go, the food was freshly prepared and ready in 10-15 minutes. I went back to my apartment and enjoyed one of the best Korean BBQ meals I have ever had and definitely the best fried chicken meal, it was full of flavour, well-seasoned and generously proportioned. I highly recommend Chingu in Hamburg and it is a short 10-minute walk from the Central Station (Hbf Hamburg) so even if you are not staying locally this is a great place for a pit stop as an alternative to the station-based dining options.

Snotty cheeky service, little hs with the perm thinks he can afford anything. We come in and want to look around to see if there are any seats left, then he comes crawling up and seriously tells us that we should wait at the front of the counter and because I was still holding a drink (unconsciously) in my hand, he tells me that I to teach me some manners. The food was way too overpriced and it wasn't tasty either. We ordered Bites and there were just hairs on them, at first we thought it was something else, but when we read the review we realized that this problem is not uncommon. The cheekiest waiter I've ever met! After the four of us left a hundred euros, I wanted to look for 80 cents for change and said to him for a second, please, then he said to me: “No, not for a second!”, but in such a cheeky tone that I was shocked just sat there and didn't know how I felt. I was about to slap the hs! But he quickly put the change on the table and left straight away without saying goodbye, he's lucky, otherwise we would have complained in the worst way. The guy is simply faster than Flash and Sonic combined. Guys, do yourselves a favor and please don't eat here. (P.S.: Citizens are even worse than MCs)
