Price-performance of the dishes is okay. I thought the large selection at the salad buffet was great. We sat outside in the covered part and with the heaters under the table there was a cozy warmth. What was annoying and that's why only 3 stars for the service was that changing employees seemed to ask every 15 minutes if everything was OK. is. Too much of a good thing. Be careful when drinks are empty and Otherwise, ask a maximum of 2 times whether everything is OK. is. Sometimes there was only 5 minutes in between because one service person apparently didn't know that another had already asked. Will we visit the restaurant again? Probably not, as we also have a 30 minute drive.

It was very well attended. I ate giros and calamari, which is rarely available in combination in Hanover. Salad from the buffet (with surprises such as fried Brussels sprouts with lemon and garlic; interesting and tasty). Price performance was OK. The service was friendly (but some things had to be asked of the staff, e.g. in the kitchen - which was taken care of; not bad, but still a bit of room for improvement

About 10 years ago we were stranded in front of the restaurant with a car breakdown. While waiting, my wife had a human need and went to the restaurant. Since she was extremely impressed by the friendliness of the staff, we went out to eat there shortly afterwards and came back again and again and again and... It always convinces us. Thanks

The food is great! Sometimes things go wrong. The side dishes were missing and after they were brought they were charged extra, even though they were part of the meal... well that can happen. But the worst thing is the smell when you leave the restaurant. You have to wash all your clothes immediately!

Very solid Greek, with great classic dishes. Nothing unusual, but always consistently delicious and probably the best Greek in the district. Since the last price increase, the portions also seem a little smaller, at least for the baked dishes...that's literally twice as bad...

I have no idea why the reviews here are so good, as if it were about one of the best Greek restaurants in Hanover. He's nowhere near that! Everything here is absolutely average. A typical Greek “around the corner”, nothing special. The food is edible, but not particularly tasty either. The ambience is like this - the restaurant is a bit old, the furniture is worn out, the tables are too close together. The service was hard, but I've also experienced friendlier service. However, the prices are a bit higher. Price/performance is definitely not right here. I think they're just lucky with the location because there's a big new development there now and there's little other restaurant competition in the immediate area. If you have nothing else or just want your standard gyro plate, then you can eat here. Otherwise, other Greeks are clearly better!

I will definitely hire new chef. I was surprised that the restaurant was so full. None of the dishes we ordered matched the great preparation/quality. - Baked potato not prepared properly. - Tzatziki totally wrong, whipped foam without real garlic. - Grilled pepperoni: wrong If you can't do the simple things, sorry... THAT WAS NOT GREEK! I don't have to go there anymore.

I am always pleasantly surprised at how great service in a restaurant can be. The striking number of employees are super attentive, unobtrusively friendly, flexible and fast. Everyone feels responsible for the guests, regardless of the table. The salad buffet is always good and freshly stocked, and the dishes are of consistently good quality. It is clean, cozy and tastefully decorated. Reservations make sense on weekends. Parking is no problem and the S-Bahn is just a stone's throw away.

Palios is one of the best Greek restaurants in the city. Excellent service, great and authentic food and a nice ambience, all at a fair price. The salad buffet for the starter alone is a blast. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. However, it is advisable to make a reservation, otherwise it will be difficult to get a table during peak times.

Today we ordered food to pick up by phone for the first time. The food was totally fresh and delicious, there was even a small dessert as a surprise :-). We will be happy to order or come to eat again!

The food is very tasty. Unfortunately, it's just not quite enough to really feel full. The difference between a large and small portion is pretty small. Other than that it's great.

Three stars for the food, zero actually for the staff. My wife and I can both do math and like to give tips, but the waitress's generous bill was wrong at 11 euros too much. When this was pointed out, all that was returned was a smile. Sorry, that's it for us.

Where has my favorite Greek gone? We have been loyal guests for many years, the meal here was always a highlight of special occasions, something that we looked forward to for a long time and that we remembered happily for at least that long. Today was a pitch black day. Prices have gone up, okay, they have that everywhere. But at the same time the quality has more than dropped here: the starter platter for 17 euros with a few blobs of dips and a few fried slices of vegetables? An impudence! Then bone-dry souvlaki, boring gyros, the dry liver only tasty because of its wafer-thin thickness, fries limp. I don't actually write negative reviews, only positive ones, because everyone can have a bad day. But with 7 euros for a bottle of tap water (sic!) and my disappointed love, I'm making an exception today...

The food is usually exorbitant and so is the service with small dishes from the house. However, in the evening you rarely get a table in this restaurant without pre-ordering. The owner is a very nice man and greets his guests with a handshake. My favorite Greek! Food still very good! Price is ambitious! I now find the restaurant too expensive and go there less often.

The food was very good, unfortunately people didn't pay attention to people coming over to ask if they wanted something to drink, for example. It wasn't just at our table, you had the feeling that if they were regular customers, they went there regularly. That would have to be changed. But again the food was very good.

I visited for the first time today and everything was great

I had a bifteki to take with me this evening. Very disappointing. I wonder what was used as sheep's cheese. Small mini crumbs mixed with red sauce. No idea what that was, at least not the Bifteki that you would expect from the description on the menu. The rice could no longer be described as al dente, it was simply not fully cooked. Soggy fries, salad with soggy cucumbers (maybe from the day before?) It doesn't help that a yogurt dessert is included as a THANK YOU and a small bottle of red wine. I would have preferred a delicious, good meal without dessert and wine. That's really a pity.

Unbeatable calamari, great salad buffet and extremely friendly service. A bit pricey for students, but still by far the best Greek place in the area. Edit: from 5 to 3 stars. The shop is now overcrowded and with luck you can comfortably fit 4 people at a table for 6 people and I say that as a really more than thin person. You also get the feeling that they are stopping you from spending time at the store and want to get rid of you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it has degraded quite a bit over the years...

We ordered food to pick up several times and again the fries were soggy. It wasn't the drive time home. It was clearly because of the kitchen, definitely outrageous for the price. When I called the staff, she just said she would pass it on to the boss and hung up. We used to be regulars there, but now it was our last visit!

Were here for the first time with friends from Hanover. The gyros were very fresh and crispy and the bifteki was also excellent. When asked, it was confirmed that everything was made by the families themselves. A very nice family business and great hosts. There was also a salad buffet that you could help yourself to. Of course, the ouzo at the end couldn't be missed. We'd love to come back!

The food was delicious 😋😋! Went there on Friday and ordered meat dishes with 2-3 vegetarian starters. Started with the free salad from the great salad buffet, then came the main courses. The meat smelled delicious, was grilled perfectly and tasted great too! The staff literally “flies” through the store and is very accommodating! Smaller requests for a little more bread or a little more sauce were quickly fulfilled! Really celebrated the staff! The shop and the tables are very cozy and I felt very comfortable. If Greek, then always here!!

Myself and my family have visited and dined at this restaurant several times over many years. Usually everyone has always been happy with the service and food we received. Today, however, it was completely different: first there was a new menu, new design and new prices. A quick look inside and you will discover numerous spelling errors (see the pictures below). This shows laziness, no effort from the restaurant to value the customers and offer them a decent menu. When we passed our orders on to the waiters, some of the orders were not understood due to the waiters' insufficient language skills and they also forgot a dish. After we pointed this out to them, we only received the expected starter at the end of the main course, and no apology was given for the mistake. The staff also didn't smile and were unfriendly, simple requests to them were accepted but not carried out. This includes a request for the dessert menu, but also changing a knife - simple tasks that could be carried out quickly. But the waiters preferred to clean tables or walk around in circles. The demand for drinks such as still water and wine also prioritized other customers who ordered drinks after us and received them earlier, which makes it easy to feel forgotten. After we received our food, my tomato rice, which came with my rack of lamb, was hard and dry. The empty plates after the meal remained on the table for 20 minutes, even though the waiters looked at the table several times and also served and cleared tables next door. A quick visit to the women's toilet also turned into an unpleasant situation: the toilet door wouldn't close. In order to dare to visit the restaurant again, a lot has to change, this time I and my family were not convinced and we hope that something changes.

The food is delicious, but the restaurant could use better ventilation. One will become one with the onions ;)

Our new favorite Greek!! Nice, friendly and quick service. You can get a place for two even without a reservation. The salad buffet is my favorite, I love the coleslaw. Everything is fresh and delicious! The menu is varied, my highlight is the deliciously seasoned Giros. There is a small deduction for the nice, but unfortunately often quite loud ambience.

The restaurant is very cozy... the staff are very friendly and everything is clean... the food tastes very good and is beautifully presented... only the shrimp were grilled for too long and therefore very dry... There is a Salad buffet with a lot of choice, really very good...

We were always very satisfied, honest, Greek home cooking with decent portions - currently the portions are similar to those of a children's plate - more onions and fries than gyros. Unfortunately, the quality doesn't get any better - it's a shame, we've never had anything else on Palios. No further visits or takeaways planned for the time being.
