Mega, simply mega. The place is rightfully very busy. Everything was so delicious and so good. The service was great. Friendly, nice, and accommodating. The garlic sauce was amazing. The fries were also very good. The gyro was fantastic. And the dessert was wow.

The restaurant is highly recommended. The friendly staff, the salad buffet, and the well-prepared food all earn us plus points, and we'll be happy to go back.

I celebrated my 66th birthday today. The fact that I had a walker was taken into account, and the service was attentive and exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food arrived quickly, was hot, was complete, and was excellently presented. The flavors were wonderful; the silence at the table was telling. The portions were very generous; you can opt for a smaller portion if possible. Substitutions are also no problem. A baked potato instead of fries and rice. I received a table fireworks display with my meal and a small jar of honey as a farewell gift. Very, very thoughtful, and I was very pleased. I can 100% recommend the restaurant. Thank you to the entire team.

Not recommended! Well, if you've already eaten at a decent Greek restaurant, don't come here. The gyros weren't even cooked properly. Service was abysmal. Fallen salad lay on the terrace the entire evening.

The food was very good, and the service was very friendly. I'd be happy to come back. However, I was bothered by the fact that the prices on the menu on the website weren't up to date.

Unfortunately, I have to give it one star. I ordered a gyros on June 8, 2025, around 4:00 PM to go, and there was no receipt either. I pointed out that I didn't want fries and rice, just gyros with onions and lettuce, nicely browned and crispy. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. The gyros had no roasted flavor (it was steamed), and it also tasted bland. That's why I don't understand the reviews.

We went there on a Friday evening without a reservation. They immediately looked for a table for us. After a short time, the place was almost full. The service was simply super friendly and attentive. The salad buffet is delicious, and there was always plenty of everything. Our gyro was perfect. There's only one negative point: unfortunately, we live over 500 km away. If we're ever in Hanover again, we'll definitely come back.

The restaurant has a surrounding winter garden with wonderfully heated tables and is known for its side dish/salad buffet. This is very extensive, but also quite oily. There's tuna, corn, salad, olives, pasta, potatoes, couscous, beans, and various other vegetables. I had the lunch special M03 with gyro (unfortunately rather fatty), minced steak (could have been seasoned more), and liver (okay). The tomato rice was very good. Overall, I left satisfied, and the melon was a great addition. I would come back.

We've been there four times in the last few years and thought we'd give the restaurant one last chance... But no, nothing has changed. Everything was like in a canteen. The salad buffet was completely dismantled. The meat didn't taste good either. So it was really the last time for me.

Breakfast and coffee were good but the service staff seemed a bit scattered and a bit intrusive. You don't have to ask again and again or say hello three times. But breakfast, ambience, location and coffee are good. We'll be back, but the young man can calm down a little ;)

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and have also ordered to be picked up. The food was otherwise always very tasty and deliciously seasoned. This time, however, in dish number 51, the fries were shriveled, dry and unseasoned, the rice was watery and not seasoned; The Giros was also shaky and tasteless, the calamari was ok, but not a hit either. When asked whether the very loud and annoying music could be turned down a little, the operator replied that this was not possible (no control on the system???) Was it all due to the high number of visitors??? Otherwise service was very friendly. We'll probably try again at some point.

A very good restaurant where the food is served at a fair price. We ordered takeaway and even got a free ouzo. Along with our ordered food, we also received a small bottle of wine and a small dessert. Truly fantastic; something like that is rare these days. And even though the restaurant was busy, picking up the food was quick; the staff were friendly, and the food was warm. Definitely recommended.

Always good. Very friendly staff. The food is delicious and what I think is great is that you can get almost every dish in a small portion. There's also lunch, which only a few restaurants now offer because it's supposedly not worth it... the Palios is always packed at lunchtime... I can only recommend it! 👍

Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und ich war auch nicht das erste Mal dort, aber diesmal war meine Enttäuschung sehr groß…Ich habe eine normale Portion Gyros bestellt, was eigentlich bei jedem Griechen ein gewisses Niveau haben sollte…heute war das Beste aber das Bier und der Ouzo…sehr schade ☹️

We've been impressed with the good quality of the meat so far. The meat skewers in particular were tender and simply delicious. Gyros pieces large, crispy and juicy. On the last few visits, the skewer in particular was dry, and the gyros, which were still good, no longer seemed to taste so perfect. When it comes to calamari, it is important that they are fried to perfection. Only then will they be as tender as butter. Hopefully the quality will improve again.

Das Restaurant Palios in Hannover-Bothfeld bietet eine geschmackvolle Einrichtung, jedoch mit enger Bestuhlung und einem Salatbuffet direkt am Eingang. Die Vorspeisen, wie das Tsatsiki (6,5 €) und die gegrillten Peperoni (6,9 €), sind solide, wobei letztere geschmacklich überzeugen, aber optisch etwas kräftigere Grillspuren vertragen könnten. Bei den Hauptspeisen punktet das Bifteki (19,5 €) mit Geschmack und dünn gehobelten rohen Zwiebeln, während das Gyros (16,9 €) teilweise nicht knusprig war. Der Service ist hier freundlich und schnell. Das bezahlen ist hier mit fast allen Karten möglich, das Trinkgeld wird aber nur Bar akzeptiert! Fazit: Ein guter Nachbarschaftsgrieche mit authentischem Flair und solider Küche. Insgesamt verdient das Palios gute 4 Sterne und ist definitiv einen Besuch wert!

We went there for the first time today based on a recommendation and what can I say... definitely not the last time. Super friendly and attentive staff in a great atmosphere.. The food was all super fresh and delicious.. An absolute feel-good package...🤗🤗

Dad said, go there, they have delicious food. No sooner said than done, called, reserved a table, that's absolutely necessary, the chance that you might not get a seat is relatively high. (When we arrived at 1230 the restaurant was already busy, when we left around 1430 it was still very busy) The service was very friendly, courteous and attentive, but not intrusive. There was salad from the buffet, fresh and very appealing, you were spoiled for choice, everything was somehow deliciously prepared. The dishes were professionally and well prepared. The meat was on point, juicy but still crispy. The portions were decent but not overpowering, we didn't finish ours. The homemade tiramisu was top notch and extremely tasty. My conclusion as a chef: the kitchen can really do something! The prices are average, the overall price/performance level in the restaurant is really good. We will definitely eat there again, for us it was by far the best Mediterranean cuisine we have had in a long time.

We have been to the Palios many times. This time we were disappointed. The waitress came when we were barely seated and wanted to take the order. We asked for about time. A short time later she stood there again and left not gone, even though we still looked at the map. It's almost a necessity. The fries were dry and the meat was very poor quality. The store wasn't full. We were looking forward to the evening, but after an hour we headed home disappointed. We definitely won't be back that quickly.

The restaurant in the Bothfeld development area offers a lot of tables both inside and in the covered outdoor area for its size. The decoration is appropriately Greek. The menu is very well filled (numbers 48-52 are recommended) and offers a choice for everyone. The staff is friendly and regularly checks the guests' well-being and clears plates if necessary. The prices are in the middle range but they also offer decent portions. The waiting time for a group of 10 people is about 25 minutes. I recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is very busy. I'd love to come back.

This time we had our sights set on a Greek restaurant and decided on Palios. Well located and plenty of parking spaces to be found. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and there are enough seats if you are more than 3 people, make a reservation. Everyone would have different dishes with starters as well as drinks. Waiting time was absolutely ok because everyone really knows their job there and has their area of ​​responsibility. There's a Greek on a different level, i.e. freshness, quality and a delight for the palate at a humane price. This family restaurant has been around for a long time and is absolutely true restaurateurs in every respect. You have captured me with everything. All I can tell you is let your senses experience a true taste experience.

It was wonderful. There were two of us in the Testaurant and we were given a table without a reservation. The staff very friendly and accommodating. The Bifteki is one of the best I've ever had. We'll be back.

Exceptionally good Greek restaurant! We spontaneously decided to go out for dinner on Saturday. It was still possible to reserve a table by telephone 2.5 hours in advance. A table was free for us at the agreed time, even though the restaurant was full to the last seat. We were warmly greeted by the boss with a handshake. We initially ordered a mixed appetizer plate and a starter plate. It was served very quickly and we enjoyed it very, very much. The main course that followed was even better 🙂 We ordered gratinated moussaka, pork fillet stuffed with feta and the Nikoletta platter. It was so delicious 😋 The meat was really good and tender. The salads from the self-service counter also tasted very good. For dessert there was tiramisu. All in all, the kitchen did a really good job. The service was also great. The service staff were very friendly, attentive, quick and perfectly organized. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. Even though the restaurant was completely full and the seating was very close together, we felt very comfortable and not disturbed at all. It was really a great performance from the Palio team! We had a very nice evening and will definitely be back soon 🙂

Price-performance of the dishes is okay. I thought the large selection at the salad buffet was great. We sat outside in the covered part and with the heaters under the table there was a cozy warmth. What was annoying and that's why only 3 stars for the service was that changing employees seemed to ask every 15 minutes if everything was OK. is. Too much of a good thing. Be careful when drinks are empty and Otherwise, ask a maximum of 2 times whether everything is OK. is. Sometimes there was only 5 minutes in between because one service person apparently didn't know that another had already asked. Will we visit the restaurant again? Probably not, as we also have a 30 minute drive.

About 10 years ago we were stranded in front of the restaurant with a car breakdown. While waiting, my wife had a human need and went to the restaurant. Since she was extremely impressed by the friendliness of the staff, we went out to eat there shortly afterwards and came back again and again and again and... It always convinces us. Thanks

The food is great! Sometimes things go wrong. The side dishes were missing and after they were brought they were charged extra, even though they were part of the meal... well that can happen. But the worst thing is the smell when you leave the restaurant. You have to wash all your clothes immediately!

I have no idea why the reviews here are so good, as if it were about one of the best Greek restaurants in Hanover. He's nowhere near that! Everything here is absolutely average. A typical Greek “around the corner”, nothing special. The food is edible, but not particularly tasty either. The ambience is like this - the restaurant is a bit old, the furniture is worn out, the tables are too close together. The service was hard, but I've also experienced friendlier service. However, the prices are a bit higher. Price/performance is definitely not right here. I think they're just lucky with the location because there's a big new development there now and there's little other restaurant competition in the immediate area. If you have nothing else or just want your standard gyro plate, then you can eat here. Otherwise, other Greeks are clearly better!

I am always pleasantly surprised at how great service in a restaurant can be. The striking number of employees are super attentive, unobtrusively friendly, flexible and fast. Everyone feels responsible for the guests, regardless of the table. The salad buffet is always good and freshly stocked, and the dishes are of consistently good quality. It is clean, cozy and tastefully decorated. Reservations make sense on weekends. Parking is no problem and the S-Bahn is just a stone's throw away.

Palios is one of the best Greek restaurants in the city. Excellent service, great and authentic food and a nice ambience, all at a fair price. The salad buffet for the starter alone is a blast. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. However, it is advisable to make a reservation, otherwise it will be difficult to get a table during peak times.

Three stars for the food, zero actually for the staff. My wife and I can both do math and like to give tips, but the waitress's generous bill was wrong at 11 euros too much. When this was pointed out, all that was returned was a smile. Sorry, that's it for us.
