We ordered online. The delivery driver was very friendly. The order arrived super fast. Excellent value for money. Very good portion sizes. Delicious taste too.

The evening was simply excellent. Excellent food, excellent service, and reasonable prices.

The tattooed waiter is quite unfriendly. The young man with the braid is just as unfriendly. We don't know why we would go there again.

I returned after many years and was dissatisfied. The welcome was very warm and the service was also very good. As for the food, there's still a lot of room for improvement. I've never had such over-seasoned dishes before. They don't skimp on the garlic either. I like it a lot, but too much is too much. It's a shame about the dishes. You couldn't taste what was actually on the plate. For my taste, it was over-seasoned. Two dishes were immediately complained about by other guests at the table, and the service politely accepted them. The people in question then waited 35 minutes to receive a dish that was just as over-seasoned, and it didn't taste any better. Out of courtesy to the owner, however, they simply mentioned that it was borderline, but still okay. The response was that many guests love the dishes that way. Ultimately, each guest has to decide for themselves and according to their own taste. The outdoor terrace is large and relatively new. However, it's very austere. Nothing on the tables, no plants... it could look a lot cozier. Unfortunately, the beer was Mediterranean-style, and when we asked about the lack of toilet paper, the person, who had been waiting for a few minutes, was told that an employee was in the warehouse to sort it out. After waiting a bit longer, the person in question helped himself to the stack of napkins. Long back at the table, we saw the manager return with a 10-pack of toilet paper. It was obvious he was at the neighboring discount store. All in all, this doesn't exactly make us want to repeat the experience, and for the prices charged, guests can certainly expect something commensurate with the overall package.

We were there spontaneously as a family on a Sunday and it was a wonderful evening with very tasty food. The service is also definitely worth mentioning, very friendly and humorous! All of this was topped off with the 'special dessert' for our son, which all children get. Such a nice idea, very simple and effective ;-) The next time we want to go out to eat, I already know who will advocate for Achilles. Thank you very much, we all walked home more than full and very satisfied.

Unfortunately it wasn't so good this time, the gyros were too salty, but they did everything they could to make sure we were satisfied.

I got a positive impression when I made a short-term table reservation over the phone. I immediately felt welcome and that continued throughout the evening in the restaurant. Warm welcome from the boss who is the soul of this restaurant. It's not for nothing that the logo bears his head. We welcome you with delicious bread with a slightly spicy tomato dip. Then came the salad. There were small bottles of olive oil at the table, I would have liked some salt and pepper at the table, but I didn't ask for it either. Therefore this is not a criticism. I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem at all if I asked. The main course was very tasty. Perfectly seasoned gyros. Nice and crispy, just the way I like it. Bifteki light and fluffy and simply delicious with the tzatziki. Only with the souvlaki did the chef need a little more courage to season it. It was perfectly grilled, but unfortunately without any seasoning. Neither pepper nor salt could be tasted. I would come back at any time. An exceptional Greek restaurant that stands out pleasantly from the standard Greek restaurant “around the corner”. And the boss, as the soul of the restaurant, plays a big part in this.

Everything was super nice and friendly, always a saying in stock, just great. The food was very good and prepared with love. For me the best Greek restaurant in Hanover. Toni, you and your team have been great, I'm looking forward to the next time.

Super tasty Greek. Please be sure to pre-order. Highly sought after for good reason

We spontaneously went to this restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was clean and about 50% full. Our table for two people was already very small, so some of our food/drinks had to be placed on a decorative surface that served to separate the table. Before we ordered, (probably home-baked) bread with red pesto was served. A small salad was also served. This, like the bread with the pesto, was very tasty. There were also no complaints about the fried pepperoni ordered as a starter. We didn't find the glass that was brought with the mineral water we ordered to be quite as stylish. It was similar to the simple glasses in hospitals and was already past its prime. The baked eggplants/zucchini in beer batter that we ordered (shown as fried on the bill) were unfortunately not baked, but simply fried. In terms of taste they were just ok, but the price was a bit cheeky at 10.90 euros. Firstly because of the quantity, secondly because it wasn't prepared as described on the menu. The gyros with tzatziki we ordered also didn't do justice to the already very high price of 19.90 euros. The meat was very blandly seasoned, also very dry and mostly extremely hard. There was tzatziki on the plate, but in terms of quantity it was no more than a tablespoon full. This dish was not edible for my taste, so I left it after trying it briefly. I only ate the few fries. Another drink, which I then ordered with the main course, was simply forgotten by the waiter. I then decided against a subsequent delivery, which was only offered to me when I asked for the invoice. When we asked for the bill we were asked if everything was OK. When we said no and gave reasons for it, we were told a few minutes later that the boss would be with us shortly. After about another 10 minutes, the boss came to our table with a curt apology (quote: the kitchen wasn't paying attention and didn't serve our best gyros), and to "make up for it" he put a dessert on the table for us. This consisted of a scoop of quark, a scoop of tiramisu and pannacotta. Unfortunately, this well-intentioned attempt to apologize didn't really help us. On the one hand, we weren't asked in advance whether we were eating any sweets at all, and unfortunately I wasn't full either. So although my wife tried a spoonful of the dessert, I didn't like it at all. Our already announced request for the bill was ignored for quite a while. The waiter only came after we had already put on our jackets. The contents of the invoice were then correct. There was no reduction due to the returned food. But that wasn't to be expected either. All in all, based on our experiences that evening, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Were there on New Year's Eve. Very beautiful and loving decoration. Very friendly staff. And the food was just as good.

We held our Christmas party there. A buffet was served, which was very varied and sufficient. If a dish was empty, it was immediately refilled warm. The boss was also super nice. There was even a selection of scents to apply in the men's toilet. I also like to come here for a private meal. High praise.

The restaurant is too expensive for me, for these prices there should be a little more on the plate, for example grilled octopus, three small fish with a bit of salad came for just under €13, the waiter was very nice and there promptly.

Great Greek with good food and great service

Everything fine! Super nice welcome and friendly, attentive service. Very familiar. I would classify the ambience as a modern interpretation of a classic Greek restaurant. We found the atmosphere to be very pleasant. For dinner we had gyros, and I also chose a large tzatziki. Our meat was nice and crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. After a while the meat became a little drier. But it was still ok. Portions were pleasantly large, but not excessive. There was a small, rich mixed salad from the house and an ouzo at the end. Both very tasty too! In summary, food was delicious and service was great. We'll definitely be back!

We ended up in Achilles today just by chance, what a pleasant surprise! Unfortunately, another restaurant nearby did not allow dogs. My friend remembered the Achilles because she had seen it a few times in passing, I knew it from 14 years ago because I worked nearby, but had never been there myself: A quick call asking whether dogs were allowed in the restaurant was answered with the question “the dog is family, right?” So off to Achilles. The restaurant was full, the gentleman at the reception recognized us immediately offered two tables to choose from; There was a large bowl of fresh water for our dog. We ourselves had a bit of trouble working our way through the large selection on the menu. The beer fresh from the tap, the Ouzo, in a mini ice cooler, didn't take long to arrive. In summary, the appetizer plate was plentiful, the giro meat was wonderfully juicy and not overly seasoned, zazyki was addictive, a charming attentive service, with telepathic abilities, a surprisingly pleasant bill and: a buffet of home-baked Christmas cookies, which we were asked to help ourselves to. (Difficult due to the generous portions beforehand) In the end, we each had two cookies on napkins in our hands, nibbled thoughtfully on the pastries on the way home and were unanimous in our opinion: What a stroke of luck that they welcome dogs here... in the family business for 52 years and that's how it felt. On the whole, a restaurant where you can spend the evening. The kitchen is quite okay and very extensive but not necessarily exceptional. Unfortunately, there was neither salt nor pepper on the table for seasoning and it took a while for an employee to come with the pepper mill. The large selection of beer and wine is commendable.

The generous portions and homemade side dishes such as tzatziki and grilled vegetables are particularly noteworthy. Tasty, relatively small portions for a Greek restaurant, nice and courteous service, priced in the upper segment.

We were here as a family and were warmly welcomed. The service was totally friendly, we didn't miss anything and without seeming intrusive. The food was really good. The portions are too big for my taste, but that can be overlooked if you know you'll have something the next day. :-) We really enjoyed it here and we would love to come back.

Wow, was there for the first time, a friend took us with her. Great staff, food was very tasty, we were thrilled and felt very comfortable!!!

We were surprised at the slightly higher typical price at the Greek restaurant, but after the visit you simply have to say that it is absolutely justified and the price/performance level is very good. At the entrance you are greeted with a handshake and the service is generally very good and everything is prepared with love. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

We got a very nice seat in the restaurant. I noticed that a lot has changed since the Christmas party in November 2019, it looked different and still had a salad buffet. The food was satisfactory to good, no real highlight. The starters we had were OK in size. The small salad with the main course is good, as there was a lot on the plate. I took the surprise record. Which had the well-known Greek classics on it. Large fries and tomato rice completed the plate. My wife got the 96 plate, which was missing the grilled liver. Was submitted later without any problems. When it came to drinks, I found out afterwards that we were well supplied with ouzo. Without having ordered several rounds, we were charged 7 rounds and one on the house, I didn't drink 8 ouzo. I know this differently from other restaurants. One has the feeling that the discount with the Schlemmerblock should make up for this. At the gourmet block, people also talked their way out of it, even though it was pointed out promptly. Intoxicated by the ouzo, we settled on two dessert plates for three couples on the house. We then split the bill to accommodate the waitress. This spoils the overall appearance of the restaurant. This way you won't get repeat guests. If you take part in the gourmet block, you join on your first visit. We have always taken an appetizer and not stuck to a drink to keep the loss bearable. This is obvious when the amount is over €100 per couple.

My special requests were responded to promptly. The food was delicious, plentiful and of very good quality! If I lived nearby I would be here more often! Update 08/24: without hesitation, my special request was fulfilled in a flash! Extremely delicious!!!

Food excellent. The ouzo was served completely cool. In a small metal bucket filled with ice cubes, 2 glasses and a small bottle of ouzo.

A little bit hidden with a beautiful garden. We ordered by phone. Even the greeting on the phone was warm. The food was ready quickly, well packaged and still hot even after the car ride. The portions were reasonable and it was simply delicious. Nothing spectacular, just good cuisine, as you would imagine. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and speed. You don't find that everywhere anymore.

Ordered food today (March 2024) and picked it up. We both really enjoyed it. Recommended. Friendly service from Toni and Co. The 2023 street festival was a lot of fun and was also excellently organized for the children. The raffle was enjoyed by everyone involved. The clientele is made up of regulars and that speaks volumes about the restaurant. Greek cuisine par excellent and recommended. The team and especially Toni are super friendly. A small downer is the significantly increased prices.

Normal Greek food, nothing special

We came across this restaurant through our purple card, without which we would probably never have gone there as it is quite hidden. The external impression, which initially put us off, in no way reflects the great internal ambience. The restaurant was very busy on a Friday evening, so it's always better to reserve in advance. Mega delicious food and the service/chef was very attentive, super friendly, just great. We'd love to come back

Interesting, slightly hidden Greek in the ruse. Unfortunately, the restaurant has said goodbye to the gourmet block for 2025, which hopefully won't be a disadvantage due to the slightly higher prices. The ambience has a Greek touch, is manageable and cozy. The food was on the table quickly, very warm, seasoned normally, quantitatively top and very tasty. The service was satisfactory to good, the toilet was very clean and no problem for the disabled. Conclusion: The Achilles is a real recommendation for everyone who has no problems with the current, higher prices and who appreciates good food and peace and quiet.
