Highly recommended! Fresh ingredients, delicious food, very friendly service! What more could you want...a wonderful addition to Schönberg! The interior is beautifully designed, and the outdoor area is also very attractive. We'll definitely be back and wish Orfeo Greco all the best!❣️

We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. and had to wait a little while at the beginning, which is perfectly understandable for a grand opening. Despite the delay, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the team went out of their way to ensure all guests had a good start to the evening. When we were finally seated, the wait was definitely worth it: The food was excellent – ​​freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We were also particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive service, which took the time to serve the guests despite the large number of customers. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely come back once things have settled down a bit.

I've been to Heiligenhafen many times. But this was my first time eating there. I was alone. I was greeted very warmly and served politely. The chicken gyro with side dishes was very tasty. Jammas

We were here during the summer holidays. My husband had gyros and fries and I had a Greek farmer's salad. We had to wait over 60 minutes for the food and it arrived lukewarm for my husband. I have to say that I have never had such a bad farmer's salad in a restaurant. It didn't have any olives or peppers even though it was on the menu and the dressing tasted like water. The waiter said it was an oil/vinegar dressing, which is what I use at home, but unfortunately it had no taste. We wouldn't recommend going there again because the waiter didn't want to hear any questions or criticism.

Unfortunately the place was overcrowded and we couldn't get a seat.

At Orfeo Greco in Heiligenhafen, we enjoyed typical Greek food, as you'd expect. Even in quantities that made you wonder why? But it was delicious, the service friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant.

A good Greek restaurant with moderate prices and tasty food. The service could be improved, as even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, we had to wait a while to order and pay. The guests at the next table were already leaving without ordering...

We sat on the terrace with our little daughter. The staff was very friendly. We were able to order relatively quickly, but the food took about 50 minutes. We really enjoyed the food and were completely satisfied. You should make a reservation in advance, and expect it to take a while. A lovely restaurant, highly recommended.

The meat was bone dry, the fries were soft and mushy, and everything was only lukewarm. Only the salad tasted good, but it must have come straight from the fridge, including the plate, so it was very cold. The staff were quite unfriendly. A poor dinner for us today, a shame.

I tried it a second time and was unfortunately disappointed again. The starter was forgotten... a dish I hadn't ordered was brought... the waiters couldn't understand me... and I had to wait in vain for drinks. They didn't even ask if I wanted another drink; I practically had to run after them, and it wasn't very busy.

Very good food but had to wait 1 hour to get it.

You should generally reserve a table. Due to the weather, it was unfortunately not possible to sit on the terrace. All the tables inside were occupied. Unfortunately, due to the lack of ventilation, it was quite warm and stuffy. We, four of us, received a friendly welcome, were quickly shown to our reserved table, and were able to place our orders quickly. Drinks and salad arrived quickly. Starters and main courses took a while, but that was completely okay; we had a great conversation at the table. All dishes were served hot. The food always arrived at the same time for everyone. We all had different dishes. None of us had any complaints about our food. We would be happy to come back anytime. Just a small note: the restrooms need to be checked occasionally, given the number of guests.

Unfortunately, the gyro was cold and the fries were soggy. The onions I ordered separately were bitter and cold. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Average to good food. The beef liver was excellent, the gyros were good. The suvlaki was a bit too thick and dry. Service was good, even though it was very busy. Prices were still OK for a tourist hotspot.

Nice restaurant, but we waited over 25 minutes before we could even order a drink. This was probably due to a lack of staff and the restaurant being full; the nice lady had her hands full 🥺 The rice and chicken were delicious! However, the side salad tasted a bit off. I didn't think anything of it and didn't want to be rude, so I ate it anyway... Unfortunately, I've been struggling with nausea, stomach problems, etc. ever since, so it probably wasn't so good after all... too bad. Everything else was fine 😊

We ordered the food for pickup. There was a loud argument on the phone. I couldn't place our order in peace and was constantly interrupted. I found this rude and wanted to hang up. The kids' pasta tasted of nothing...even with tomato sauce, you'd expect a bit more flavor. We ordered two of the bread with dip. Unfortunately, when we picked it up, we didn't notice that the dip was missing. Since everything was handed over wrapped, we foolishly didn't check. Now we have a pile of bread without dip and ate it dry...even though we were really looking forward to the dip. Pickup was quick, and the ladies there were very friendly.

We were there as a family with two children. We were seated on the terrace – the noise level was very loud, and someone was smoking at the next table (a separate smoking area would have been welcome). It was very busy, and the service seemed stressed. So far so good, but here's the thing: we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food!!! Peak season or not, but that's unacceptable! The food itself was okay, but nothing exceptional... We're often in Heiligenhafen, but we certainly won't be coming back...

Chicken gyros goes hard familiar

Considered from the perspective that there are still people working there, not machines, I would still like to say that not everything in the restaurant is satisfactory. Unfortunately, our starter was forgotten 🙈 It can happen—no drama so far. Unfortunately, there was no response from the staff... the food arrived, unfortunately, it arrived. The wrong dish can also happen... unfortunately, it was too heavily seasoned for my taste, and everyone has different preferences. What I find incomprehensible, however, is that the guests aren't really taken care of... we were in a convivial atmosphere, laughing, and ultimately, once again, we were essentially "forgotten in the corner." What a shame....

Really good food at a reasonable price

It was our first time there and we reserved a table on the terrace. All in all, this is nothing more and nothing less than a Greek restaurant, which seems to be confident of its customers due to the number of tourists. To start, we were given two ouzos on the table without asking, which I find very questionable. Well-intentioned but not well-executed. We ordered drinks (soft drinks in screw-top bottles, which were very good due to the wasps outside) and then went to place our order. We wanted to order souvlaki, but we were told that they were out of souvlaki today because they had sold so many...?? When we asked, we were told that it only applied to two dishes...??? That wasn't true at all, but whatever. It can always happen that we run out of stock, but then I expect advance notice when the menu is handed to us, not after we've selected the dishes... So, we had gyros with very fatty pieces, not nice. €22.50 for gyros topped with a gravy sauce in a portion that was borderline, but the Metaxa sauce was very tasty. The selection for children was no longer standard; there were cheap nuggets that were fried to death in the deep fryer. The atmosphere among the wait staff seems very tense and frosty; as a guest, you don't really feel welcome. There are a lot of tables on the terrace, tightly packed, noisy, and therefore anything but cozy. Perhaps we were just unlucky and had too high expectations; according to the reviews, many guests are enthusiastic, but 4.8 stars is a bit much for me. ...

A real flop. A disaster for the price/performance ratio, and overwhelmed staff.

I wanted to order food there, but after 60 minutes I couldn't reach anyone. So I decided to go to another restaurant, where someone answered the phone.

Too bad... every second chip shop is better. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a typical tourist trap. Honestly, if you're paying well over €20 for a meal, you shouldn't be served ketchup or mayo in a packet. You can rarely expect culinary highlights at a Greek restaurant, but we were truly disappointed here. Almost nothing was right. At least the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean.

The restaurant was full, which speaks volumes about its popularity, but unfortunately, the staff couldn't handle it at all. We had to wait over an hour for our food. In the meantime, the staff was running around frantically, but without any discernible plan... and a lot of idle time with little service. There was a lack of structure, so we didn't really feel welcome. The food was a bitter disappointment: Some of the meat was still raw, other dishes were only lukewarm and dry. For a Greek restaurant, the dishes were shockingly underseasoned. There was little to no flavor. Criticism was ignored when we tried to raise it. You have to be able to handle being served so poorly. This isn't how you imagine a restaurant visit, and you wonder how the good reviews come about. For us, this was definitely the first and last time. This Greek restaurant is one of the worst we've ever been to. Edit: Two days later, we're still having stomach problems.

After a two-year break, we ventured back to the Orfeo and were disappointed again 😞. The food isn't good; even the fries aren't crispy. The salad is ice cold and tastes like nothing. The only thing are the drinks... they're okay. So, folks, this place is off the list for us. And it's not cheap either. Save your money and cook delicious food yourself.

We went here for dinner today. Based on the reviews, we thought it would be good. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite what we expected. It's very cramped. We sat on the terrace where others were smoking at the next table. That's unnecessary, especially when there are children present. The children's food could be improved. Overall, it was okay. Visited on July 9, 2025, around 8 p.m. with two adults and a child (5). We absolutely cannot recommend the Orfeo Greco restaurant, and the average Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 is incomprehensible. The service was friendly but not attentive; there were two underage children behind the counter (even at 9 p.m.). The ambiance inside was OK, but outside was not pleasant and uninviting, with the cheapest garden furniture. The food was unacceptable for the price! Greek country bread with garlic and dip for €6.90 is a few old slices of more or less toasted baguette with cocktail sauce. For €7.90, you get a lump of the worst and most flavorless taramas I've ever eaten. The tzatziki was flat and lacking in authenticity. The children's dish (pasta with Bolognese sauce) tasted like it had been eaten before (it was over after two spoonfuls... any can of ravioli tastes better than that! The Orfeo Mix for €23.90 with (half a!) lamb chop, Suzuki, Suvlaki, and Gyros was completely dry and meaningless - the Gyros, however, was the only tasty and delicious dish. The lamb shank for €24.90 was a small portion and tasted like it had come straight out of the fridge and been warmed up. A large number of run-of-the-mill side salads were already waiting in the glass refrigerator on the terrace and only had to be brought to the table. We are annoyed by the statements on the website regarding authentic cuisine and the many positive reviews - this Greek restaurant is one of the worst we have ever visited. The bill was €101.70. When we asked if we enjoyed the food, the service staff politely nodded away our attempted complaints and then told that someone else would be coming to collect the money (it was one of the children!)... this restaurant visit can definitely be chalked up to 'we've had worse, bad meals'... a waste of money and a waste of the bad experience too.

Unfortunately, unfortunately, no debit card payment is possible. Hence only two stars. This wasn't mentioned when ordering. I don't think that's right.

A lovely restaurant not far from the inland lake. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were really good. (We took some to go ☺️) Reservations would have been better, but we were lucky and were able to get in anyway. To allow everyone to eat there, they arranged a lot of seating, which was a bit too close to the next table for us. But that's just our feeling. It was a lovely evening with delicious food and very friendly service. Definitely worth recommending 👍

Based on the good reviews, we decided to visit Orfeo Greco. The menu features dishes typical of Greek restaurants in Germany. The four of us ordered several starters, which were truly delicious! The Tarama, Saganaki, and zucchini balls are highly recommended. The main courses were, unfortunately, rather disappointing in comparison. The meat in particular was quite dry in three of the four dishes. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she just smiled uncertainly and didn't really respond. It was a shame that it wasn't possible to swap the fries for rosemary potatoes as a side dish upon request. I would have been perfectly willing to pay a little extra for that. We would have also liked to have had dessert, but the Ravani cake offered on the menu wasn't available. What's on the menu should perhaps be available. All in all, Orfeo Greco has potential, but there's still a lot of room for improvement in some areas.

Sorry, but we can't share the incredibly positive reviews. After the cards were rather roughly placed on the table, we were ignored for a good five minutes while we ordered our drinks. While the people to our right and left (the way they treated us seemed like regulars) were both friendlier and quicker in terms of ordering and service, we were somewhat disappointed. Not with the food, though, as the tzatziki, gyros, and minced steak were good to very good. For us, eating out is always a triad (food, ambiance, service), so only a 3 on average. But the food deserves 4 stars.

On our first visit yesterday, the Greek restaurant impressed us with its excellent food. From the bean soup to the gyros, the taste was simply superb. We'll definitely be back. The service was also absolutely top-notch.

Das Essen ist gut aber auch nicht herausragend. Ambiente ist in Ordnung. Der Service ist eine absolute Katastrophe, unfreundliche Gastgeberin "begrüßte" uns äußerst missmutig. Wir kamen mit unserem Kind im Buggy an, die Kellnerin war bereits mit der Frage nach einem Kinderstuhl überfordert. Nach einiger Wartezeit bekamen wir einen geeigneten Sitz. Jedoch konnten wir den Buggy nicht bei uns stehen lassen. Man zerrte uns den Wagen fast aus den Händen, wir konnten ihn gerade so ausräumen. Als wir unser Kind etwas an die Seite des Tisches setzen wollten, da einer der Gäste neben ihr rauchte, teilte man uns mit, dass es nicht gehen würde, weil sie dann kein Platz haben zu servieren. Absoluter Quatsch, es war genug Platz zu allen Seiten. Kurzum die Gastgeberin feiert lieber mit Stammgästen, als Familien willkommen zu heißen. Nie wieder.

Once is enough. The price/performance ratio isn't right. €6.20 for a 0.5L beer is no longer justified! Gyros with onions €19.90 Good portion, but the meat was very fatty and sometimes undercooked. Poorly seasoned. Covered outdoor area OK, but fully booked. Very loud! Restrooms in the basement seem very unkempt. Smells of urine even when you go down the stairs. Update: The restaurant owner complained to Google about my review and asked for it to be deleted.

I can 100% recommend this place. But I would definitely make a reservation.

An average Greek restaurant with upscale prices. The food is okay, but nothing special.

We were here on May 29, 2025. Thanks to our reservation, we got a seat; walk-ins weren't able to get a seat at that time. We were seated very close together in a very crowded adjoining room. The group at the table next to us was very loud, and it was difficult for us to have a conversation. After a quick order, the salads and appetizers arrived quickly. However, the main course didn't arrive until we'd already been in the restaurant for 1 hour and 45 minutes. That took far too long. The vegetarian meal I ordered was totally bland. I wouldn't order it again. On the way home, we agreed that the current average rating of 4.8 stars on Google didn't reflect our experience here.

This Greek restaurant is an absolute hit! Everything we tried was incredibly delicious - from gyros to lamb to vegetarian dishes. Fresh, aromatic and prepared with a lot of love. You can really eat anything here because everything is delicious! The service is warm, the atmosphere is cozy – an all-round pleasure. We'll definitely be back!

Spontaneously got a place for one person, luckily I was moved again. Before, I was sitting in the middle of the aisle and didn't feel comfortable. The food was really delicious. The prices are higher, but that is due to the tourist location.

...und das war gut so. Uns wurde von anderen Reisenden dieses Lokal empfohlen. Ostersamstag haben wir es ohne Reservierung probiert und es war gerade noch ein 2er Tisch frei. Service freundlich , das Essen wirklich gut.( Leber/ Gyros-Salat). Sehr viel Auswahl. Nettes Ambiente obwohl recht voll. Einziger Kritikpunkt, Getränkepreise z.B.Hefeweizen sehr hoch. Eine Reservierung scheint nötig, da es sehr voll war.

The food was tasty, it was a standard menu, nothing special could be found on it. Prices are pretty expensive, unfortunately. Aperol was returned, glass was cracked and it crunched when drinking, new one was offered but we declined. It was then deducted from the bill when we asked.

I always thought that our local Greek was the best between Hanover and Athens. Incorrect! We found another Greek restaurant that is absolutely on the same level. As far as portion size goes, everyone here will be fed... I can't imagine anything else. Extremely warm service, meat fried to perfection, crispy yet tender. Extraordinary combination plates (calamares with gyros), that's what I call brave. Definitely a great restaurant and we would love to come back! 👍🏻 Edit: Finally returned to Orfeo Greco today. Were forgotten, had to wait an hour for our food, got cold food and half of it was forgotten.

Unfortunately, the food was very salty. It was number 83. Absolutely disappointing. The bread that was served separately was delicious.

Had a very tasty meal there. Unfortunately the restaurant is very narrow and squashed. In summer it's nicer to sit on the outside terrace. The stuffed bifteki with feta is highly recommended, as is the mousaka.

Whenever I visit my cousin, I go to Orfeo Greco. The food is very tasty and the ambience is simply great. When it's very busy, it always takes a while for service to come to the table and you wait longer for your starter/main course. We still love coming! 😊
