There was no more room inside, but the "outside area" was nice and sheltered and warm. We sat comfortably. Food was good and service staff friendly.

We are very critical restaurant goers, but we enjoyed it very much. It didn't quite come close to my favorite Greek restaurants at home, but that's difficult too. In addition to all the good things, there were a few small comments: We definitely found the tzatziki with the gyros too little, too little garlic, not enough cucumber. Had to reorder. But we would definitely go again!

Ate Sellten with such a bad Greek. Eating everything without taste, in my opinion just ready-made sauces. Getting salad before eating without cutlery, well salad in quotes. A little cabbage with even less carrots with I think a hidden drop of oil. And the sauce on the spaghetti had nothing to do with Metaxa sauce. The other dishes were only bearable with the requested salt and pepper. All in all a very bad meal. We will definitely never visit this restaurant again.

We had 5 gyros plates, everyone enjoyed them. I found the meat a bit dry, but I'm no expert on that.

Hello, the food itself was of a high standard, but since a baguette was put on the table for us, which we didn't order and then pay for, there is a deduction. It was our first time there, which means we didn't know whether it was part of it or not. Conclusion: It was very good, the atmosphere was very relaxed, but there was just this fraud.

The dishes that I had with my companions were really very good in terms of taste, you really couldn't complain. The staff was actually friendly, but it seemed very forced to me personally. The ambience wasn't actually that great for me. Our table was slightly sticky (outdoor area) and the entire basement (where the toilets are) smells of cold cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, the menus were also very old and worn.

We simply waited too long for our food, especially since guests who came later had their food sooner. But the price-performance ratio is definitely not right here. It's way too expensive compared to other Greek restaurants. For more money the quality of the food has to be much better. Extra charge for “cheese gratinated” is a no-go! Demanding money for packaging if something isn't done and you want to take it with you is probably unique on the island, especially given the prices. Now about the food: The salad in front was just coleslaw without dressing and hardly seasoned. Gyros with Metaxa sauce was tasty, but the fries were to be left out. We won't be coming back.

Good first impression from the outside, but it immediately disappeared! Bad and unfriendly service, the main season is probably over, then it's no longer worth the effort! Prices for drinks and especially food are absolutely outrageous! Highlight, after we had asked for an hour about our starters and where our main courses would be, we had a small child with us, we were first barked at and then it turned out that the cellar had not ordered the food! Of course no excuse! We were fobbed off with a round of ouzo, which we didn't even want! The guest is king, but not here... Instead of maybe buying the child a scoop of ice cream because they had to wait an hour for some fries! In summary, not recommended, especially not with children!

We got stranded there yesterday by chance. The first impression was like the Greek restaurant around the corner. The first positive surprises came as soon as you read the menu. The menu invites you to read and there is all sorts of information about the gods of Greece. We were welcomed like friends by the innkeepers. We opted for Greek wine and a Greek beer as well as a simple gyros. However, these with baked potatoes. Potatoes are a highlight and the gyros are crispy and juicy. The tzatziki was also very good. Our conclusion... simply delicious. And the ouzo was good too.😏

The food is classic Greek mediocre, but anyone who charges an extra 2 euros for a casserole to have it gratinated is very bold. It's even bolder to ask for an additional €1.5 if you haven't managed to eat and want to pack it up. You can hardly drink the wine that's on the menu, so it's almost the same thing to order water. Only when we asked were we recommended a delicious wine, which turned out to be worth it.

The children's plates were also reasonable portions. The only negative point... some salad decoration was missing. But this is only a visual point of view. It's one of the best gyros I've ever eaten. The Metaxa sauce tasted very good. If you decide to eat here, you should make a reservation here, especially if you want to eat with children between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m Real recommendation to visit.

Since Olympus The 12 Gods opened, we have been coming here every year and leaving with a smile on our faces. Super tasty food, the mince and the gyros are made and checked by the owners themselves. We love going out for Greek food, but this Greek place always trumps all the others! The ambience is wonderful in the blue and gold colors and the owners as well as the waiters are all super nice and take great care of the guests. Super recommended!!!!!

Rarely seen such a delicious and nice restaurant. They cater to your every need, are super nice to dogs you bring with you (they get water immediately upon arrival) and have a homemade cocktail that is simply heavenly! 5*++++!!!!

Update - July 22, 2024 The owner responded to our criticism by listing numerous vegetarian starters, but couldn't name a single main course. Unfortunately, this reaction suggests that constructive criticism is not taken seriously. We had asked the waitress in advance about vegetarian and vegan dishes, but she could only recommend the pasta with Metaxa sauce. A look at the reviews shows that criticism is often dismissed and not welcomed. This defensive attitude toward feedback is unfortunate because it misses a valuable opportunity to improve the dining experience for all guests. The lack of an adequate response to our requests reflects an unwillingness to adapt to the needs and expectations of a diversified clientele. Overall, the owner's reaction was disappointing and indicated that our concerns were not taken seriously. We were therefore forced to change our originally moderate rating from 3 stars to 2 stars. A good restaurant should not only shine through its cuisine, but also through its ability to respond to guest requests and criticism and react accordingly. *Original review* The visit to the Greek restaurant Olympos left a disappointing impression. Despite the friendly and courteous service, the quality of the food was not convincing. Vegetarians are severely restricted here: the only option, pasta with Metaxa sauce, was disappointing. My wife and I were happy to get a table without a reservation. Apparently no problem at 5 p.m. Unfortunately, the food did not meet the reviews and our expectations. The gyros were dry, the portion of tzatziki was very small, the salad only consisted of coleslaw and the ouzo was barely cooled. The Olympos will definitely not see us again as guests, it's a shame 😏

We came here without a reservation and were still offered a table an hour and a half later, even though the restaurant was very full. We were served very nicely and everyone was very friendly. As a vegetarian, it is of course a bit difficult to find a suitable restaurant on Baabe if you don't just want pasta dishes, but the starter platter was amazing. Much more than I expected. It's easily enough for 2 ;) .. And even though we arrived an hour before the kitchen closed, we didn't feel like we were causing any trouble. We were full and satisfied. We found prices reasonable.

By far the worst evening we have ever experienced! Unfortunately we can't judge the food because it didn't come to that at all. We left the restaurant beforehand. As you can see from the unfriendly responses to some reviews here, people here are absolutely not open to criticism. Now about our evening: In short, we were looking forward to a nice evening at the Greek restaurant. We entered the restaurant at 6:01 p.m. The fun started immediately when we asked for a coloring book and pencils for our son. My friend started sharpening the pencils and unfortunately some of them accidentally ended up on the table. And then came the first appearance of the unfriendly waitress we have ever experienced. He was promptly reprimanded for making the table dirty. By the way, the sharpener was full. Then we ordered, we asked if there was the typical Greek dish "Lamb Kritharaki" (rice noodles) baked with cheese, which we always eat at our Greek home, and we were then rudely reprimanded that yes real Greeks work in this restaurant and this is not a Greek dish. Funny, this is a typical Greek dish in Rhodes. But well, it's not all that bad. After about 40 minutes, my friend politely asked about the starter and when the food would arrive. The waitress reacted very bitchy, told us we'd only been waiting a short time and the place was full and we could leave if we didn't want to wait any longer, but in a tone and volume that was absolutely inappropriate! All the guests stared at us. The icing on the cake was that she came back after 2 minutes and told us we hadn't ordered an appetizer! Suddenly it was said that the food was ready and we should now eat (without starters). We then left the restaurant at 7 p.m., not because of the waiting time, we would definitely have waited, but when a waitress is so unfriendly, you don't feel like eating anymore. You could have simply responded to the guest, apologized for the waiting time and not discussed it! With all the understanding for a full restaurant and the stress you have (I know that, I worked in the catering industry myself for years), you just have to stay friendly if the guest stays friendly too. Another small positive thing at the end, the boss was understanding and apologized after a short discussion. We paid for our 4 drinks and left.

The four of us had dinner here last night on the occasion of our son's 20th birthday. The welcome was warm, the food was very good all around 😋👍👍 and our waiter Aline made the evening a great overall experience with her friendly manner and a smile on her face 😀 and a very nice, personal conversation. You had to bring a little time with you, as there was a certain waiting time due to the restaurant being fully booked and the food being freshly prepared. We bridged this excellently with lively conversations and 1-2 Ouzo🍸. Anyone who doesn't feel comfortable as a guest here is obviously doing something wrong. As someone already wrote, the ambience and service couldn't be better. Unfortunately, in this case that wasn't the reason why my wife and I went there. It was the first time that the Greek food was so limited. My wife and I had to share the oil-soaked baked potatoes with the meat so that they were enough. There could have been something green there. When I asked about the dish: It would probably be authentic, like in Greece. A "place setting" with bread and tzatziki, as I know it from Greece, if it has to be authentic, was missing for us .... simply because of the satiety. It shouldn't be a binge. I passed on the information, as shown here (in short form), to the really friendly waitress and she also asked if we were full. But what should you have said, ordered more? Two tight dishes and two drinks for almost €70....! It won't make me poor, but it's a bit much.

A very good Greek in tranquil Baabe. Gyros wonderfully spicy, crispy and still juicy. I hadn't had bifteki that well for a long time, I probably minced the meat myself, no trace of dryness, the fillet skewer was good. The whole thing was called Apollon Platter and was served with rice and tzatziki. Rich portion. The tzatziki was great, not greasy, mayonnaise, everything was well done!!! The shop was quite full at 7 p.m. and of course there was a bit of a wait, so what, I'm here on vacation and not on the run. The waitress did everything she could and was probably shouted at by some of the guests as a thank you. Aline really nailed it and with her refreshing manner we had a wonderful evening, thank you very much for that. We'll definitely be back!!!

Very tasty food and nice employees who were really very active. Tiny deductions in the B grade for the environment and maybe a lettuce leaf and a tomato on the children's meal would have made it perfect. But all in all: Recommended, even if it's in a medium rather than low price range, but it was definitely worth it.

The Olympos completely convinced me this evening. First there was the classic ouzo as a welcome, followed by drinks and appetizers. The garlic bread with tzatziki was very tasty, but you can't go wrong ;) However, the tzatziki wasn't off the shelf, it was homemade with love and good ingredients and was really tasty. The main course was the Aristeller. The star for me was the gyros, I've never eaten them so well. Mediterranean seasoned, tender and very tasty. Also the tender chicken breast, the skewer and the bifteki. The tomato rice went perfectly with it and of course served with the homemade tzatziki. For desert there was the halva with vanilla ice cream, which tasted really good, especially in combination. Every now and then an ouzo in between, and finally a Metaxa, to round it off, so to speak ;) I would particularly like to highlight the waitress Aline, who really gave us a great evening with her good mood and a smile on her face. Anyone who is unhappy here is probably doing something wrong. Sanitary facilities were so clean. For the evening 190€ including tip for four, but full and in a good mood, what more could you want. All in all, clearly 5 stars and a clear recommendation.

First the positive: the service was great, attentive, quick without seeming rushed and very friendly when we made the reservation by phone. We also found the ambience to be modern and not as “typically Greek” as we know it everywhere else. I would describe it as modern-Mediterranean. However, I'm not as fond of the placemats as in kindergarten, which stick to my arm when the temperatures are higher. For food... difficult... We go to Greek restaurants very regularly at home and are therefore used to a "certain Greek". Nevertheless, a few points were not good in our opinion: - Grilled pepperoni with balsamic vinegar? Not my cup of tea, pepperoni should be spicy and unfortunately there was no garlic at all. A pity! - Quality of meat is generally good, be it gyros or fillet - Metaxa sauce: already discussed several times in the reviews, to me it tasted like fix sauce thickener and that's how my stomach reacted. Unfortunately I'm very sensitive to that. For me, the taste had nothing to do with Metaxa sauce. Plus the squishy canned mushrooms. Very unfortunate. - Fries ok, but completely unseasoned I can recommend the pork fillet baked with sheep's cheese, it was very good. Total with 1 starter, 1 bottle of water (Gerolsteiner unfortunately), 1 glass of wine, 1 juice and 3x main course 85 € is not cheap, but acceptable for Rügen I think.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to stop here on a Monday in May 2023 because: On the front of the terrace there is a sign saying "Tuesday closed", at the entrance there is a sign saying "Monday closed" and according to Google it is "closed on Wednesday". Since 2020, all I have heard from the catering industry is complaining, Corona, minimum wage, lack of staff, increase in VAT. But my sympathy is limited.

This time my food was unfortunately nothing, ok we were there shortly before the end, gyros were very dry, my wife had gyros in metaxa sauce, that was better. Very friendly SERVICE. But overall the food can't keep up with the Italian restaurant.

Everything was great. What struck me positively was the child-friendliness and also the fact that they asked if everything was OK with the food. We went to this restaurant spontaneously today and still got a table straight away. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The most positive thing, however, was definitely the very nice waitress Aline (I hope the name is spelled correctly). She made the evening even more beautiful. Absolutely delicious and generous portions. Not really much for veggies, but let's be honest that's not common in the Balkans and the surrounding area. At least for tourists. Gyros top, chicken top, skewer top. Broad beans great, veggie. Service is quick, nice and friendly. Are here out of season, not full. We'd love to come back. Okay the music.... :)

So we were there on our short vacation and thought we would give it a try even though it was more expensive than the Greeks where we would otherwise be, for example. in Göhren. The service was ok, the food was good too but we don't think the price/performance ratio is right.
