Amazing! Parking right at your table – in the on-site parking garage of this elegant and strikingly tastefully decorated hotel. The restaurant continues this style not only in its decor, but also where it matters most: in the attentive and exceptionally friendly service and the delicious dishes from the focused, minimalist menu. This Mediterranean evening wasn't our first visit, and certainly won't be our last! As always, top-notch service and top-notch food.

We were at this place for a family celebration lunch and were more or less satisfied. The service and friendliness of the staff were excellent, both when making the reservation and at the table. There were some variations among the dishes: the appetizer salad bowl was unrefined, but all the other appetizers were satisfactory. One of the main courses arrived lukewarm, and the pasta (though not its seafood topping) was rather mediocre for an upscale Mediterranean restaurant. On the other hand, the organic chicken, among others, was very good. Some members of the family complained that the pizzas were unavailable, despite being prominently featured on the menu. (The pizza oven was supposed to be ready from 2 p.m., but the lunch hours were from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.) The wines were consistently good.

Great! Of course, the price is a bit higher, but it's worth it. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The service is top-notch, and the food is amazing.

Yesterday's tapas evening was, unfortunately, more than disappointing overall. It started promisingly, with an aperitif and a starter platter, and we were looking forward to Spanish snacks with appropriate background music. After all, that's what we had come for, had been looking forward to it for a long time, and had paid the hefty price of 109 euros per person just for the food. Unfortunately, there was no sign of tapas; we were served from pans, either with seafood, paella, meatballs, or spaghetti from the pasta station, and unfortunately, the dishes were lukewarm at best and barely seasoned. The music had nothing to do with Spain and was so loud that conversation was virtually impossible. The evening was scheduled from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. We were checked out at 10:30 p.m., and when we asked for a last drink, we were directed to a bar and asked to vacate our table because they had to set up breakfast the next day. We paid a whopping €500 for this evening for four people, including drinks, and were looking forward to it, but unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. A real shame, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

We visited this restaurant today for a tapas evening with live music. All in all, it was a successful evening. The service was very attentive and attentive to its guests. The food was top-notch and incredibly delicious. The singers were simply fantastic. The atmosphere is inviting and very cozy. We would gladly return. 🤗👍🙏

A very nice, cozy summer terrace. Super friendly staff and a really good menu (not the run-of-the-mill menu you'll find in many other restaurants). Prices are also reasonable for the quality you get. We'd be happy to come back again.

We had a lovely spot in the sun. We received a warm welcome from the very friendly waiter, who even remembered previous visits (which had been quite some time ago). We had a great selection of drinks and food. Even changing the daily specials was no problem. The food arrived promptly at our table. It was delicious, and we couldn't help but thank him for the recommendation. He also asked about us frequently, but it wasn't intrusive.

Super delicious food!! From the homemade bread and dips to the salads and pizza. The entire service team, and especially the restaurant manager, are professional, charming, and incredibly friendly and helpful. We were at Oliva celebrating my mother's birthday. Not only did they decorate the table so warmly, but there was also a birthday dessert with fireworks as a greeting from the kitchen. Service was 100%!! Everything was done with love and so brilliantly. Our every wish was fulfilled, without any ifs, ands, or buts! FULL marks for the ambience, the service team, and a special big thank you to the restaurant manager who looked after us all evening. Thank you so much!!!!!

Very friendly service, as you'd expect from Rosenpark. We found the salad to be a bit pricey. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

The location itself is very nice. The service was mostly very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our chosen starter, Gamberi piccanti, very much. The toppings of the Castello a mare pizza were good, but I didn't like the Malcesine pizza: the pea puree was too dominant, there was no sign or taste of mozzarella or Gorgonzola, and it had an unpleasant aftertaste. Three-quarters of it was sent back to the kitchen. The pizza dough in general was too dense, in our opinion. After cooling, it was like chewing gum. Of the two espressos we ordered after the meal, only one was served, and the second only after we asked for it.

What can I say? We had an all-around fantastic evening here. The food was a dream and a real hit in terms of taste. Every bite transported me straight to the Mediterranean. The flavors were authentic, fresh, and lovingly blended – you can simply taste the quality and passion in every dish. The service was also top-notch: super friendly, attentive, and warm. You immediately felt welcome and well looked after. The value for money is also particularly noteworthy – absolutely fair and reasonable for the quality offered. In short: a true culinary highlight in Marburg! I will definitely be back and can highly recommend Oliva Mediterran.

Yesterday (04/19/25) we had dinner with three people to celebrate my birthday. We had a very beautifully decorated table and were warmly looked after. We were greeted with a Rosé Prosecco. We had the menu with 4 small pizzas and the linguine with asparagus and for dessert there was a crème brûlée. The taste is excellent as usual. All in all, it was a very nice evening that begs to be repeated. We would love to come back and can highly recommend the restaurant!

The hot dishes from the buffet were at best lukewarm.

We were not the first nor the last time at Oliva. The service itself was always excellent. The waitresses were very attentive and our glasses never remained empty for long. However, there was a small drawback: when we received our dessert, they didn't even "look" at us, which personally disappointed us a bit, as we didn't know that from our last visit. We would have liked to drink something more, but then we didn't order anything else because no waitress asked about us. The food was first class as always. The pizza is crispy, wonderful dough, and the starter is simply divine.

We celebrated New Year's Eve here with friends and are extremely satisfied. First in the restaurant until 11 p.m. with great food and great staff. Then in the bar until almost three o'clock and the staff is always praised. Gladly again.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Restsurant. Die Karte und Pizzen sind mal etwas anderes als der normale Kram. Das Essen war sehr gut wir hatten eine Pizza Variation aus drei verschiedenen Pizzen. Alles in allen super lecker und ein sehr freundlicher Service. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir waren zum portugiesischen Abend im Restaurant. Der Abend war sehr gelungen. Es hat mit einem Aperitif auf der Terrasse begonnen, anschließend wurde das Buffet eröffnet. Das Serviceteam war unglaublich schnell und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Speisen waren alles in Allem sehr gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich, daher die 4 Punkte.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant OLIVA and I can only say positive things about Mr. Meilinger and his team. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. Mr. Meilinger personally took care of our table reservations and guided us to a perfect seat. His knowledge of the menu is impressive and he guided us through the various dishes with a lot of passion and expertise. The recommendations were excellent and every dish we tried was a culinary experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming and tastefully designed, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The presentation of the dishes was also simply impressive. Mr. Meilinger not only ensured that the service ran smoothly, but also that every guest felt special and valued. I can only warmly recommend the OLIVA restaurant and Mr. Meilinger's expertise. It was an evening full of taste, hospitality and outstanding service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Super essensauswahl bei erstklassigem Service durch das Personal - gutes Preis - leistungsverhältnis - agiles Ambiente

The restaurant does not correspond in any way to the price structure offered. The service is sometimes very slow, with a 3-course menu we only received the main course after 90 minutes and the bread for the aperitif only after we specifically asked. The espresso ordered for dessert took another 20 minutes to arrive. All in all not very customer oriented. In addition, the concept is not aimed at vegetarians. As a vegetarian, my culinary choices at Easter brunch were limited to cold pasta, soggy pizza and lots of bread. Unfortunately, the three remaining slices of cheese that I discovered when I arrived were gone because I was too slow. The vegetables didn't have much to do with the so-called Mediterranean title. In addition to three bowls of carrot salad, there was a small bowl of mixed salad, only the dressing was somewhere and I couldn't place it. In the three-course evening menu, the vegetarian main course was reduced to pasta. My husband's fish option was turbot, which was reasonable for the price. I find it very surprising that in such a house there is no adequate offer for people who cannot eat meat or fish. Nowadays it is standard in many upscale restaurants to also have vegetarian alternatives. Unfortunately, this is not the case in the Oliva restaurant, as the concept is obviously 'only' aimed at people who eat mainly meat and fish.

The staff is professional and the overall service is really great. The food was good for the price, but not particularly special. Overall, still a nice restaurant.

Very nice evening at Oliva Marburg. Among other things, we ordered the daily special and what can I say - absolutely excellent. Scallops cooked to perfection, the broth was very tasty and perhaps a bit too salty. The starter trilogy was also great. Only the mixture for the bread only tasted like fat. Pizza Margarita was crispy and delicious. Service was very courteous, attentive and highly professional. Nightcap at the bar was great - top advice and cocktails as well as whiskey. Thanks for that! We look forward to our next stay.

The food is very good, higher standard. Very nice staff. Nice ambience. Unfortunately, you recently have to pay for a parking space in the underground car park, which quickly adds up to an additional €10.

The ambience is great. The service is friendly. Unfortunately the food was average to not that good for the price. Except the bruschetta as a starter, which was very tasty. The seafood risotto was too salty, which we commented on at the end. According to some other reviews, that was probably the case three months ago. The pizza with spinach cream, chicken breast, tangerine and mango cream was not convincing in terms of taste, but the dough was delicious. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't tell me much about the three white wines on the menu, but she was friendly and just let me try them. The tiramisu was average.

Wir waren zum ersten mal in dem Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist angenehm. Die Hintergrundmusik war nicht aufdringlich und so gestaltet, dass für jeden etwas dabei ist. Das Personal ist superfreundlich. Speisen: Meine Bekannte hatte eine Pizza, die ihr sehr lecker schmeckte. Ich hatte Ratatouille anders als ich es von Südfrankreich kenne aber mit sehr ausgewogenem Geschmack. Lediglich das Rouille hätte mehr knoblauchhaltig sein können (nur Mut!). Insgesamt war der Besuch ein Erlebnis, dass wir nicht das letzte mal gekommen sind

We were there for my wife's birthday. We were early and were offered something to drink in the lounge. Gladly 2 Prosecco (how nice)... The 0.1 Ploerre was later on the bill (we felt invited) for 8 euros. The Prosecco was run of the mill and worst of all, lukewarm, anything but cold. Stealed ice cubes from my daughter to make it drinkable. For a gift we thought, OK, what the heck. We would have sent it back if we bought it! Then at the table: subterranean service. 3 service staff came to the table in quick succession and each asked the same thing. Then we were slightly annoyed. If it had resulted in the ordered drinks and starters coming that way, don't worry about it. But no, we had to ask and order several times. Highlights: Service employee clears a plate, knife (used) falls on my wife's coat. Says: gaaaarnix?!! Dropped the champagne cooler next to us - everything full of ice/water/champagne (expectedly broken). The puddle is always on the floor, incoming guests either grope in or manage to get around - just barely. I would have liked to grab a rag. Service primed, but a cleaner had to come from somewhere deep in the house to mop. Well, we thought, it was a light entertainment show in a half-hour format. Quickly to eat: monkfish was fine, saltimbocca was dry and didn't taste good. Nobody asked us about that anyway - what the heck... Paying via Apple Pay - none. Exhausted, we paid with a Eurocard and snuck away. Forever…

Ich habe vor reichlich einer Woche unsere desasteöses Menue am Heiligen Abend kritisiert. Bis heute hält wohl niemand für nötig eine solche Bewertung zu kommentieren. Das zeigt eigentlich , wie gleichgültig solche Gästemeinungen angegangen werden. Bei positiven Urteilen.... am nächsten Tag eine Litanei von Dankesworten. Ist natürlich auch leichter.

Weihnachtslunch 2023 : Leider gab es keinen Räucherlachs bei den Vorspeisen mehr und es wurde selbst auf Nachfrage nichts mehr nachgelegt. Die Walnüsse auf dem Rote Beete Salat waren ranzig. Salat mit einigen faulen Blättern. Die Ente war trocken ( zulange gebraten ) , Rotkraut war meistens leer , Kartoffelgratin lauwarm. Die Fischpfanne war zu trocken, da kaum Soße vorhanden. Nachttischbüfett nicht sehr originell. Dann doch lieber Eis. Keine große Freude so ein Weihnachtsessen.

Seit Wochen haben wir uns auf das Weihnachtessen am 24.12.23 gefreut. was an diesem Abend für 129.00 Euro pro Person ohne Getränke geboten wurde, positiv ausgedrückt ein Albtraum. Beginn sollte im Restaurant um 18 Uhr sein. Türen verschlossen, keinerlei Andeutung , Erklärung warum. Wir verweilten dann einige Minuten im Foyer, bis uns zufällig eine junge Dame nach einer evtl Drinkbestellung fragte. Wir erklärten, das wir das Menue im Oliva reserviert hatte. Ach ja...dann müssen sie in die Baretage um sich den Begrüssungdrink abzuholen..war die Antwort. Dort hatten sich schon einige Gäste ebenfalls eingefunden, und ihren Drink in Empfang genommen. Nach ca 30 min. bewegte sich die Masse unaufgefordert Richtung Restaurant, wo schon der halbe Saal mit Gästen gefüllt war. Mittlerweile kamen die Bedienung mit Tabletts voller Begrüssungsdrinks in den Speidesaal, da niemand(woher auch) von dem Bartermin wusste. In freudiger Erwartung wollten wir unseren Abend doch noch geniessen. Weit gefehlt. Jetzt begann das Chaos erst. nach 45 Minuten (fünfundvierzig( kam dann die Vorspeise....ein Bleistiftgrosses Lachstreifchen mit Geschmacksflüssigkeit rundherum. Kuchengabel hätte gereicht, war aber nicht im Bestecksortiment. Gut. Meine Eine Flasche Wasser Stand am Tisch, da ich noch Auto fahren musste , mein Getränk. Meine Frau hatte wie im Angebot erwähnt die Weinauslese zu jedem Menuegang gebucht. Im vorbeigehen ,,knallte der Kellner kommentarlos Weisswein ins Glas meiner Frau, daß wars. Wir warteten schon mit etwas angespannter Stimmung auf die Sellerisuppe mit schwarzen Trüffeln. Die kam dann nach ca 35 min. ANGEBRANNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unsere Stimmung sank merklich. Zwischendurch waren auch unsere Getränke aufgebraucht. Ein Kellner lief schwodronieren zu seinen Lieblingstischen , ansonsten mit pseudowichtiger Gestik leistunglos auf und ab. Als die Bedienung uns fragte , ob die Suppen gut war ist mir der Kragen geplatzt. Der angebrannte Geruch konnte leicht und mußte in Küche gerochen worden sein. Der Koch dementierte das die Suppe angebrannt war. Im übrigen haben wir schwarze Trüffel auch nicht erkennen können. Unsere Bedienung hat unseren mittlerweile massiven Unmut weiter gegeben und der leistungslose Kellner baute sich dann vor uns auf und wollte....die Probleme klären... Ich geben zu , ich habe ihn aus Selbstschutz weg gejagt. Nun wurde es um unseren Tisch hektisch. Es kam der zweite Kellner zu uns , stellte sich mit Namen vor und versuchte uns zu beruhigen, was nicht geklappt hat. Von einem F und B Manager oder einem Direktor hat man den gesamten Abend nichts gesehen. Nach einer weitern ,,großen Pause,, das Hauptgericht. Meine Frau hatte die Fleischvariante , ich die Fischvariante gewählt. Meine Frau hatte Glück, ich dachte bei meinem Teller , es wäre eine weitere Vorspeise, zudem kalt. Kurz beigefügt, das Dessert war ok. Was uns bei dieser gesamten Veranstaltung noch massiv gestört hat, es tobten den gesamten Abend viel Kinder zwischen den Tischen , Stühlen , dem Personal lautstark herum. Ehe das Geschrei von kinderfeindlichkeit aufkommt, falsch. Es muss von der Hotelleitung von vorneherein auch der kinderlose Gast respektiert werden . Hier wurde ein Preis aufgerufen, der aber nicht ANNNÄHERD der Leistung entsprach. Wir nehmen ausdrücklich das Personal aus der desaströsen Veranstaltung heraus. Die jungen Damen waren sehr engagiert und können nicht dafür, wenn der Fisch von oben stinkt. Und das hat er sehr massiv. Planlos , unpersönlich, respektlos dem Gast gegenüber. Fairerweise ist man uns preislich entgegen gekommen, und wir akzeptieren auch die Erklärungen des Oberkellners. Das konnte uns aber an dem Abend nicht beruhigen. Das Menue hatte maximal einen Wert von 40 Euro, gut zugunsten des Veranstalters gerechnet. Der Gesamtschaden an diesem speziellen Abend für uns, zum Erbrechen.

Einen grundsätzlichen Punkt vorweg: Wir lieben Vila Vita Rosenpark und kommen seit Jahren beruflich wie auch privat hierher. Was die Stimmung jedoch erheblich trübte war die Tatsache, dass das Bedürfnis nach Ruhe und einem ruhigen Essen nicht in Relation zur Restaurantpolitik stand. Was trug sich zu: Seit dem Abend vom 22.12.23, dem Frühstück am 23.12.23 und besagtem Abendessen im Restaurant Olivia am 23.12.23 welcher uns sehr zusetzte, war die Geräuschkulisse durch rennende / schreiende / herumkrabbelnde und balgende Kinder in der Hotellobby enorm hoch. Wer Vila Vita Rosenpark kennt weiß, das sich die offene Lobby vom Untergeschoss bis zum ersten Stock erstreckt und jede Lärmquelle in alle Ecken getragen wird. Nachdem wir um ein Wort beim zuständigen Restaurantpersonal und einem Einschreiten bezüglich der Erziehungsberechtigten baten, wurde uns eine Rechtfertigung PRO der Geräuschkulisse entgegengebracht, da „es sich um ein internationales Familientreffen handelte und es schwierig sei, mit Kindern Essen zu gehen, da sie sich austoben müssten.“ Das Angebot für einen Schnaps oder Gin Tonic schlugen wir aus, da man uns nicht mit Alkohol ruhig stellen muss. Genauso das Angebot, unser Essen in der Hotelbar einen Stock höher (ohne Restaurantflair) einzunehmen. Was man tat war, dass man die Tür zur Lobby schloss. Für unser Empfinden ist es nicht gerechtfertigt, dass der Wunsch nach Ruhe in solch einem Luxushotel missachtet wurde und fadenscheinige Ausreden aufgezählt werden und nicht die Eltern angesprochen werden, die ihrer Aufsichtspflicht NICHT nachgehen, die sie ihre Kinder nicht im Blick haben und alle Gäste beschallen. Wirklich schade.
