Great restaurant, I'm thrilled. An Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere, a fantastic location, and a fantastic ambiance. The taste is hard to beat, and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

When the four of us went there after a day in the lab, we were rudely sent away because there was no room. The restaurant was empty. But then another colleague came and called us back in. The food was okay, but unfortunately, our first impression was disappointing.

We made a reservation three weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told there was no room left for us. Our reservation was recorded, but apparently they were overbooked. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience, so no stars. A small addendum: After our experience, the restaurant called us and invited us to dinner one evening. The staff were all very friendly and apologized several times. The food was excellent. I'll definitely be back for the pistachio tiramisu. At the end, we were even treated to a limoncello. All in all, a successful evening.

A very cozy atmosphere and great service. We felt very comfortable. We ordered a pizza diavolo and pasta with Mediterranean vegetables – both were excellent. You can tell that the food here is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Good location, fine dining. Prices around €20. The outside tables could use a more frequent cleaning of pollen, leaves, and branches. If you want to pay, the waiter takes a long time to arrive. The food was very tasty 😋

I've been there many times, but something has changed; today I was speechless. The service was completely disorganized; someone different came every five minutes to take orders, etc. We often had to ask for food and drinks because they simply didn't arrive, and unfortunately, the food didn't taste the way we used to... It's a shame, it used to be better.

A super nice restaurant with delicious food. Our starters and main courses were both delicious! We especially recommend the roast beef tonnato! The coffee (we had espresso) was unfortunately not good. One small negative: the staff seemed visibly stressed at first when we asked for a table in the restaurant and weren't really in agreement. It wasn't so nice in front of the guests. Later on, however, the service was extremely courteous and attentive.

Six of us were here, along with friends. The service was attentive and humorous, without being clumsy or pretentious. The food arrived at the same time for everyone – top-notch! The pizzas were fantastic: thin, crispy crust, well-topped but not overly so. Garlic oil, chili oil, and salt and pepper were available for seasoning. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch!

We had a wonderful evening yesterday. Despite the approaching thunderstorm at the exact time of our reservation, everyone remained calm, and we got a nice table. The pizza and trofie al pesto were fantastic. What surprised us was that the wine selection was so overwhelming. There was also no wine list for bottled wines. A nice Palatinate wine or even a Vino della Casa in a carafe would have made the visit complete. Best wishes from Heidelberg

I wanted to try (after several people who recommended this pizzeria/restaurant to me), their pizza. So my opinion concerns only the pizza. I start from the ingredients used to garnish the pizza which I have to say are quality for my tastes, not unbalanced flavors and basically both the tomato and mozzarella are of good quality. I can't say the same for the dough. Maybe it was just bad luck but if your pizza arrives fresh from the oven with a rubbery and soft consistency there is something wrong with the dough or even worse in the too short leavening times. But apart from this I found the service excellent with helpful and courteous staff and always available to listen to your requests. The place unfortunately is in line with the rest of the pizzerias that I have found so far in Germany. The place is quite small and for parking it is just a matter of luck since there is no restaurant parking. However for the pizza I want to give it a second chance and I will go there again. As for the prices of the pizzas, I found them on average higher than other pizzerias, in fact it is not exactly cheap, and for now it is not the best pizza I have eaten in Germany, I hope to change my mind next time I go.

Very tasty here! I've been to so many restaurants in my life but this one impressed me, honestly it's delicious here, the employees are nice and everything is clean here, nothing to complain about.

The online reservation was probably not processed because the three of us were not expected. A table. Directly in the path of the service or in front of the toilet entrance is not acceptable when making a reservation. You can also get pizza or pasta elsewhere. We will never know the quality of the food at "Mon Ami".

5 stars, best pizza in Marburg! I've been going to mon Ami regularly for several years and am thrilled every time. The food is simply great. For me there is no better pizza in Marburg. The ingredients are fresh, the dough is perfect and the taste is simply authentic Italian. You can tell that the cooking here is made with love. The atmosphere is also very inviting and cozy, and the service is always friendly and attentive. If you want to eat well in Marburg, you can't miss mon Ami. For me it's definitely 5 stars, absolutely deserved!

Disappointing despite good food We were looking forward to a lovely evening at Mon Ami, especially since it was a birthday dinner, but unfortunately we were disappointed. Although we had made a reservation at 7:30 p.m., we were initially “parked” on garden chairs at a mini table right next to the entrance door. Only after 20 minutes were we able to move to the right table. In the meantime, we were rudely told by a waitress that we were not allowed to sit at a table that became available because it was supposedly only for guests with reservations - which we were. The overall process was chaotic: it was not possible to order the starter and main course separately. My pizza, which was supposed to come with salsiccia, was served with bacon - without any explanation or note. We also didn't receive a bill when we asked, which made the evening even more unpleasant. The restaurant was extremely crowded, and other guests with reservations also had to wait at the door for 30 minutes. Despite all this inconvenience, there was no apology or accommodation from the staff. It's a real shame because the food was very good. But all the organizational deficiencies and the unfriendly treatment have unfortunately completely overshadowed this impression. We probably won't come back.

Excellent! If I lived in Marburg, I would have come here more often. But I'll be happy to come back as soon as I'm back! Service, wine and food were all excellent. I had pesto pasta with extra burrata (9/10) creamyyyy I love it! The friends had pasta with beef (8.8/10), I also thought it was great, the sauce was super tasty. Bruschetta were also well done. See you next time!

I've already eaten there and thought the food was good. However, the staff didn't convince me. In the meantime, however, the health department was there on June 17, 2024. Unfortunately, the report can only be accessed online for a short time. It states: Significant hygienic and structural defects in the operating rooms, furnishings and equipment. A detrimental influence on the food produced in the rooms could not be ruled out.

Excellent food and the baked octopus is an absolute highlight. Absolutely great.

Always happy. The pizza dough is incredibly delicious, the pizza with porcini mushrooms and salsiccia tastes so, so good and the tiramisu is to die for! I was particularly pleased that the dessert was beautifully presented despite having to be picked up.

We have been to this restaurant several times. Great food. Ambiance is good. Nice outside area, ok inside area. Some of the tables are close together. Today I'm writing a review because our service today was really outstanding. The young gentleman with reddish hair gave us a very friendly welcome. Before we arrived he already knew that we wanted to go to this restaurant. Seldom seen so professionally. The service at the table was also very accommodating. We've had worse experiences in this restaurant. Hopefully this service will remain with us on our future visits!

We were there with 3 people in the beer garden, it's really nice to sit there. The service was friendly. We ordered a salad, a starter (although specifically as a main course) and a pizza. The appetizer and salad came at the same time. Unfortunately, the salad was no longer fresh, the leaves looked as if they had been in the dressing for some time and were correspondingly mushy in consistency. The starter was okay, perhaps could have been seasoned a little better. The pizza for the third person in the group arrived over an hour later and only after several requests with a somewhat helpless "Yes, we're sorry." The pizza itself was really, really tasty. But it felt like our evening was already over at this point and we were generally rather disappointed.

On this wonderful, warm September Wednesday evening, my companions and I thought about a delicious dinner at the establishment mon Ami. We were given an excellent table in the stylish outdoor area. The mood was cheerful as we reached for the written choice of dishes. Now it so happened that the daily menu turned out to be very tasty in our eyes. But first it was the wine's turn. The extremely friendly, neat and muscular waiter named Tim gave us very knowledgeable and competent advice. According to him, I have a “lively” personality who would like the rose. And he did! My dear friend and I were absolutely thrilled by the taste explosion that arrived after four seconds of the sheer abundance of tanginess, which was extremely fruity. In the heat of the moment, we ordered the food with ecstatic anticipation. Every waiter met us with a soul-warming smile. The starter (crustini) left us all speechless, WOW! Shortly thereafter the main courses appeared. In my entire life (Nina 56) I have never been so pleased with the way the food was presented. Unfortunately, we discovered that the chef was in love with the taste. Also missing were a few tasty cherry tomatoes. When we spoke to him, Tim reacted extremely courteously and enchanted us with his charm and the professional handling of this little mishap. As if by magic, another waiter appeared with bread to counteract the saltiness. After courageous consultation with the chef, we were delighted at the sweet end. Through the nut to the finish, the happening at mon ami Marburg became almost entirely a state of absolute euphoria. My loyal companions and I would like to thank the dearest Tim for the cheerfulness, which has absolutely nothing to do with rosé. P.S a farewell poem Tim, our hero, with the radiant look, friendly and clever, always brings us fortune. Advises us on wine, full of sparkle and vigor, conjures up the rosé, and the praise attracts us. Crustini so delicious, we are amazed, moved, an appetizer delight that leaves us speechless. But the main course, oh dear, leaves us silent for a moment, an amorous cook let a seasoning go to waste. But Tim, our savior, with a smile so fine, brings bread to the table and a sparkle in. He clarifies and reassures, so warmly, so cheerfully, and directs our mood to the sweet companion. Finally, nuts, the evening is perfect, Tim, you are the one who delights us all. Mon Ami thanks you very much, you gifted man, because you bring joy and light into hearts.

Unfortunately, the monami is located directly on a busy, very loud street. The food and service are great, but the noise level when sitting outside is a horror.

Even if you sometimes have to wait a little longer for your food, Mon Ami is worth every euro. It's a little more expensive than the classic casserole restaurants in Marburg, but absolutely worth it.

I have to say you can see from the outside, from the rooms, decoration and ambience, that it must taste good there. And you really convinced us. Friendly staff, despite not having a reservation we still got two seats. The salad and pizza are pretty good! Keep it up! Very good concept and external impact.

Very nice garden, unfortunately the food was mediocre. We had sage ravioli and roast beef tonnato. Attractively presented but not really tasty. This could be prepared better - especially given the price.

Absolutely unsuitable for business lunches. Mon Ami may initially offer a cozy atmosphere, but that is deceptive. After 20 minutes we still had no menu or drinks. After more than an hour, the food was only served sporadically. After more than two hours we were informed that the EC machine was not working, which was extremely embarrassing in the presence of important business partners. The service and organization are simply catastrophic. When we asked questions, we were told to behave in an adult manner, which only made the situation worse. This incident was extremely embarrassing for everyone involved. Although most visits may go smoothly, one should be aware of serious organizational deficiencies. It is simply disappointing that communication with customers is so poor, especially when, as a paying guest, you expect an adequate service.

Italian cuisine has become standard. In Marburg, Mon Ami has long fought against the pressure to be student-oriented. I'm afraid it's losing out on this trend. Currently eating is very interchangeable.
