Restaurant Oasis in Köln

The restaurant has a great view BUT it's a total tourist spot with expensive prices for small portions. The waiters are unfortunately not very service-oriented. The tea was served with lukewarm water, there was a fried fly in the fries, and the gyro was very rubbery. Better to walk a few meters further and go to the neighboring brewery.

Food: It's just Greek. Nothing special. The staff were friendly but reserved. The view from the terrace of the old town and the cathedral across the Rhine is, of course, unbeatable. Cologne is a feeling.

The hotel has a great location with a view over the Rhine and the cathedral. We enjoyed the food very much, especially the appetizer plate. The service was poor. The main course was brought while we were still finishing our starters. Reordering drinks was always difficult because the waiters were completely inattentive. Empty plates weren't cleared away. The waiters weren't friendly either.

Top restaurant!!! I've been eating here regularly for over 10 years and can't fault it. The service, the view, and, above all, the food are all delicious. The staff are always very friendly and cheerful.

The service at this restaurant is very poor. The waiters don't do their jobs, dirty dishes aren't cleared from the tables. You wait 20-30 minutes for drinks, and there's no guarantee they'll even arrive. Overall, the impression isn't good.

We went to the Oasis restaurant today and ordered a vegetarian meal (approx. €14) and a lamb shank (approx. €22). Both meals were very professionally prepared and delicious. The service was very friendly and competent—and a bit hectic due to the staff shortage during the holiday season. We will eat there again on our future visits to Cologne and highly recommend the restaurant for both vegetarian and meat dishes.

We came here for dinner with four children. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. I had lamb shank with eggplant and rice, the most tender and delicious lamb I've ever had!

This was our last time there... definitely... Expensive, the starter was forgotten first - then they complained when we complained about it - a dessert was forgotten, the table was cleared while 2 out of 5 were still eating... No way - the waiter who was supposed to be serving us was very nice and apologized several times - the majority of the rest of the staff - who also seemed to always be taking something away from us - were definitely just untrained and just wanted to get home quickly... Not a pleasant experience for over €200...

If no parking is needed, a nice beer garden

Unfriendly service, a supposed frappe for €4.50, which, first of all, isn't worthy of a frappé in terms of its capacity (250ml), and then it's so thin that you can see the cathedral through it. A 6. If at least the staff were friendly... I'd rather go somewhere else.

Absolutely the best place to see Cologne's skyline in the evening. The food, drinks, and staff are all okay.

There were shrimp, octopus tubes, and zander with vegetables in a hollandaise sauce, which had nothing to do with Mediterranean preparation. The fish and octopus were completely unseasoned, covered in flour. The fish fell apart, thawed, and fried to death. The side salad consisted almost entirely of iceberg lettuce, a few grated carrots, onion strips, and a much too sweet instant yogurt dressing. The chilled white wine we ordered was too warm. The staff was bored; never again…

We ate there yesterday during the day. We sat outside. Awesome view. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The service was prompt. The garlic bread from the appetizer was incredibly delicious. The tzatziki was fantastic. The highlight was the gyro with Gorgonzola, an absolute must-try when you're there.

We went to the Sunday brunch, which offered a rich, varied, and large selection of breakfast, lunch, and dessert. There was something for everyone, and the food was constantly replenished. The staff is always available to answer any questions. The taste was amazing and the service was top-notch. We'd love to come back the next time we're in Cologne.

We ordered the grill plate because it was a bit small for two people, so I ordered another one and we were really full and the meat and croquettes were very tasty. The drinks were also well chilled. My mum had a banana boat for dessert, which she said was very filling but tasty, and I had a spaghetti ice cream. I was initially surprised by the small bowl; it looked like a child's ice cream and the spaghetti looked a bit different, which they should work on... but everything was very tasty and the staff were very friendly.

We were in Cologne today with a small group, and when you're out and about a lot, you get hungry. We actually came across this restaurant by chance, but it was a real stroke of luck. Very good food and, for Cologne, very good prices. We enjoyed the meal on the terrace with a wonderful view of the Rhine, the cathedral, and the railway bridge. Very friendly service, good food, and a lovely atmosphere. I can only recommend that you take a short walk to the other side of the Rhine and enjoy your meal there before squeezing yourself together in the streets around the cathedral with their rather musty air.

Nice restaurant in itself, but the service was really at its limit on a Sunday evening. Everything seemed rushed, the food was served quickly and carelessly. The waiter then tried to "adjust" my order because the person sitting opposite me had a similar order, and supposedly they could combine both grill plates into one large grill plate. Double the price, but not the same amount as if everyone ordered individually. A lot of money for rather meager portions of meat and cold side dishes of rice. The salad was a disaster. Plus, they were sold out of lemons (?). Maybe it's a personal preference, but for me, grilled souvlaki definitely needs lemon juice. But hey, if you want a nice view of the cathedral and the Rhine, you can pay a lot of money for the view, nothing more.

The waiter is unfriendly towards the employees. And it wasn't okay with me! Never again !!!! Does the menu say… gratinated or salad or starters etc. unfortunately it doesn’t say that!! I had ordered a vegetarian meal and then was disappointed with a casserole with minced meat in it, didn't expect it! Like the whole menu! It didn't taste good at all, it's over, unfortunately I got a stomach ache! I think it's a shame! The man is unfriendly, has a cold heart... well, I feel discriminatory.

We have been there several times since 2019. The last visit was such a disappointment that we probably won't eat there again, or at least we won't use the brunch buffet anymore. Reasons: -except for the suzukaika (meatballs) and the desserts, all the other dishes I tried (gyros, salmon, chicken skewers, trarmas, tzatziki, potatoes, fries,...) tasted bland. - except for the waiter we knew (Greek), ALL the other waiters walked through the restaurant with a serious expression (I wouldn't normally give a star for that, only because of the dedicated waiter it gets two stars!) - the waiter in question tried very hard, but he sometimes had to take orders alone - The skills of the other waiters were inadequate) tables were constantly mixed up, drinks were placed in the wrong places, although clearly communicated and shown. - the other waiters spoke Arabic among themselves and were hardly able to communicate with the guests at the table in German... I didn't feel welcome there, quite the opposite. The waiters sometimes looked around the shop with a noticeable arrogance that doesn't belong in a restaurant like this. As a Greek, it was doubly unfortunate that the dishes didn't taste as usual. It's a shame... I didn't recognize the Oasis as I had perceived it before...

We were at the Oasis a few days ago. The only good thing is the view of Cologne's old town. Food was below average, the gyros had way too much fat. Then our waiter was so grumpy and not attentive... crazy. When paying we had to check everything carefully. First the waiter tried to "forget" one of two vouchers, then there was a discussion because "suddenly" card payment was not possible. Then, after a clear speech, it suddenly happened. Would you have preferred cash, why? Sorry, but I imagine it to be cozy and well looked after. That would have the character of a canteen. That was the last time, what a shame!

Great Greek restaurant with a great view! Prices therefore slightly higher than normal. Dishes from the lunch/day menu are great value for money!

We had to clear away some of the empty plates ourselves and were not asked if we would like to drink anything else besides the water we had ordered at the very beginning. For every thing we wanted to order, we had to wait for what felt like an eternity until a waiter noticed us. After paying, the waiter complained to one of our guests that we hadn't tipped enough. I think that's extreme impudence.

From the bright side, the place has nice view on old town with the river. That's basically all. Greek restaurant without any touch of Greece of the interior and atmosphere. Service either talking with rude tone or didn't talk at all. And we had to call them several time, because we were ignored. Meals were okish, but grilled plate was quite salty with no other flavors. At least we got salat to soften the taste (was good). Unfortunately, I am more in favor of negative reviews for this place.

wir,4 Pers. waren hier zweimal, das Erste mal und das letzte Mal, Leber war nicht zu genießen, auf unsere Beschwerde bekamen wir die Antwort "ist immer so" eine Scheibe Leber war total versalzen, die andere war matschig weich, die mitgelieferten Zwiebeln waren gut, Fritten waren ok, Salat war ok, das Fleisch auf mein Grillteller war total trocken viel zu lange in der Pfanne.

So the food here isn't really good... Average standard Greek. What's nice is the location and the fact that you have a view of the Rhine outside. Service is also rather poor. Half of it was missing from my plate and I had to ask three times before it was corrected. Salad completely tasteless, meat okay, side dishes cold. We won't come back. Anyone who thinks that you can eat really well here has never eaten really well…

⚠️⚠️ Tourists ⚠️⚠️ TRAP ⚠️⚠️ No cozy dinner possible. The waiters are completely overwhelmed and unfriendly, we didn't feel welcome or well served here. After almost an hour of waiting, the food was ready to be enjoyed with fried sauce (in my opinion) and without drinks. Simply a disaster…..The view is great, otherwise nothing. Here it is the mass that counts, not the class.

I was there on Saturday to enjoy the sun with a coffee on the terrace, but the visit was a disappointment. What was particularly shocking was the outrageous way in which guests were treated. Several times, guests who were already seated were asked to leave the place on the grounds that everything was supposedly full - even though the terrace was half empty. The treatment of the guests was unacceptable, I have never experienced anything like that. This unfriendly atmosphere was very unpleasant. It's a real shame that the service at this great location on the Rhine is so disappointing. Because of the rude waiter and poor service we will definitely not come back.

A real piece of Greece in the middle of the city! As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed and the cozy, Mediterranean atmosphere immediately invites you to linger. The furnishings are tasteful - not kitschy, but with loving details that are reminiscent of a vacation in Greece. The menu offers a great selection of classic Greek dishes - from moussaka to grilled to fresh fish. I chose the calamari and it was outstanding! The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell that people work here with real passion. Conclusion: If you want to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine in Cologne, this is the right place for you. I'll definitely be back! As already promised on site!

Relaxed buffet atmosphere, because two courses (cold and then warm) are presented at brunch. That means most of the tables are occupied anyway. This creates a quiet breakfast. No rush. The buffet is constantly refilled and the employees are very attentive to empty plates. Plus the beautiful view towards the cathedral and the Rhine. It makes you warm.
