A unique view of the old town. The food could have been hotter, but it tasted good and was a decent portion.

We were there with a large group, and 7 out of 9 of our meals were undercooked. The service was unpleasant/odd. Unfortunately, a total disappointment, especially since we've had similar experiences at other Greek restaurants.

I went to Restaurant Oasis and was really pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, fresh, and delicious. The service was also quick and friendly; there was no long wait, and we were served attentively right away. The portions were decent, but could have been a bit larger for the price – it is a little expensive. However, there's a real bonus: the view! From there, you have a beautiful view of Cologne Cathedral, especially in the evening – an absolute spectacle. Overall: Good food, top-notch service, and a fantastic view – highly recommended!

Prime Cologne location: Kennedy-Ufer in Deutz, magnificent view of Cologne's Old Town and Cathedral... with a terrace. Greek cuisine of acceptable quality is served. The gigantes were good, as were the rack of lamb and the gyros. Unfortunately, the salad had no discernible dressing, and the Mediterranean vegetables were completely bland. There's room for improvement. The wine selection is limited. The service is friendly. Recommended because of the unbeatable location.

The food was subpar for the price. Some of it was really bad. We were disappointed with the buffet; the quality was poor. Very expensive. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was nice and clean. Amazing view, very nice location.

Both the food and service were poor. It started with ordering. My wife politely asked for a plate of gyros and lamb. It wasn't on the menu, which had never been a problem at any of the other Greek restaurants we'd been to. Here, however, it was. She received a rather rude response: "It's not on the menu, so you can't order it." Okay, maybe, but you could say it in a different tone. So far, so bad. So we ordered something else: gyros topped with feta cheese. That's what it says on the menu. With a Spezi. The drinks came, and the Spezi was very thin. You could easily see through it. Either the Fanta or the Coke syrup was empty or too low. That's not a problem, so it shouldn't be one. We politely pointed this out to the waiter. The response: "And what should I do now? I can make something else, but it will come out the same. I just press the button and have to take what comes out." He then wanted to bring a new one. Then, kindly, and this was the kindest part of the whole visit, he explained to us that the Fanta was the problem; it came out too thin. He asked if we'd be happy with a Coke. Fine. Okay. Okay. Then the food arrived. The dish came with a side salad. I'm sorry, but that has nothing to do with a salad in a restaurant. Iceberg lettuce, a bit of red cabbage, onion, and a bit of carrot. Doesn't sound bad, I know. But it looked like it had been freshly poured onto the plate from a ready-made salad package from Rewe. It also came with a dressing that reminded me strongly of a ready-made yogurt dressing from the aforementioned discount store. No flavor, no herbs, nothing. Now for the gyro topped with feta cheese. As mentioned, that's what it says on the menu. It came with what I'll call pork neck goulash, slightly finely sliced, in a casserole dish with a sauce (tomato sauce?) and some feta cheese on top. There was no mention of the sauce on the menu. The gyro topped with Metaxa is a different dish. The gyro was inedible. It was so fatty and marbled. Sure, it's pork, and there's fat in it, but not that much. I ate four forks, and three times I had nothing but fat in my mouth. Sorry, but that has nothing to do with gyros. We often go to Greek food, but we've never experienced anything like this. The side dish was rice or fries. The fries were good, but the rice had no seasoning or flavor. A quick toss in tomato broth and it was fine. Almost everything went back. I expect the waiter to at least ask what was wrong or something like that. Nothing. That was a €70 lesson learned.

Simply very friendly service, very good food. Extremely delicious. We'd love to come back.

The food and service were very good. The ambiance was generally good, but when it's full, it can be quite noisy, hence "only" 4 stars.

Good location, right on the Rhine with a view of the cathedral, but... the food was simply terrible. The listless waitress looked after a customer as she was putting down her salad and almost tipped it onto my legs. There wasn't even an apology. The salad dressing was very tasteless. I had gyros and souvlaki with rice. All the meat, including that of my two other companions, was really dry and had probably been sitting on the stove for hours. The rice was lukewarm. The Coke was stale and warm. The waitress walked past the table I think five times and didn't clear anything... After voicing criticism, there was again no apology. When paying, they didn't even ask for a receipt. Overall, listless and truly poor service. I can't recommend this "Oasis."

Well, what can I say? My wife had her birthday today. Unfortunately, the breakfast brunch wasn't as good as we experienced it at Easter. Breakfast was very meager and the subsequent meal was cold, which we also complained about, but it was better afterwards. We won't be going back 😔

Be careful: This restaurant seems to systematically remove negative reviews, and Google doesn't bother to actually review cases for compliance with its guidelines. My companion and I were served a non-alcoholic cocktail here three and a half years ago (!) when we ordered a Tequila Sunrise, which I mentioned in the review. The server admitted the error when asked. It's impossible for the owners to remember the specific incident after so long—so, apparently, they're currently requesting the deletion of every single negative review.

Everything was good and of course a perfect view of the Catholic side of Cologne :-)

Unfortunately, this restaurant seems to systematically delete negative reviews. It's a shame, as it doesn't really make you seem authentic. Therefore, unfortunately, it only gets one star this time... I'm happy to repeat my original review: The meat was very tasty, but that was it. The fries were soggy and tough, the salad was poorly prepared and came with instant dressing. It was significantly overpriced for that. Unfortunately, the service was also poor and very chaotic. We were asked for drinks once throughout the entire evening, and even inquiries were fobbed off.

We were there for a Christmas party. Unfortunately, we didn't really enjoy the brunch, and the service wasn't very fast either.

We celebrated our civil wedding (August 19, 2025) at this restaurant and couldn't have imagined a better place. We were allowed to bring our own decorations, and the team set up the table exactly as we wanted – beautiful! The food was, as always, excellent. For our reception, we had a small area separated from the other guests, allowing us to enjoy a private atmosphere just for ourselves. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and available to us at all times. We would like to thank them again from the bottom of our hearts for everything ❤️

The restaurant is located directly on the Rhine with a wonderful view of the cathedral. The food and drinks are excellent, and the service is very friendly, courteous, and prompt. I highly recommend the Oasis!

The restaurant has a great view BUT it's a total tourist spot with expensive prices for small portions. The waiters are unfortunately not very service-oriented. The tea was served with lukewarm water, there was a fried fly in the fries, and the gyro was very rubbery. Better to walk a few meters further and go to the neighboring brewery.

The hotel has a great location with a view over the Rhine and the cathedral. We enjoyed the food very much, especially the appetizer plate. The service was poor. The main course was brought while we were still finishing our starters. Reordering drinks was always difficult because the waiters were completely inattentive. Empty plates weren't cleared away. The waiters weren't friendly either.

Top restaurant!!! I've been eating here regularly for over 10 years and can't fault it. The service, the view, and, above all, the food are all delicious. The staff are always very friendly and cheerful.

The service at this restaurant is very poor. The waiters don't do their jobs, dirty dishes aren't cleared from the tables. You wait 20-30 minutes for drinks, and there's no guarantee they'll even arrive. Overall, the impression isn't good.

Only the view of the cathedral is worth recommending. The food arrived lukewarm and wasn't worth mentioning. The waiters were unfriendly and insisted on checking the bill carefully. We were charged for things we didn't order. This restaurant is not recommended.

We went to the Oasis restaurant today and ordered a vegetarian meal (approx. €14) and a lamb shank (approx. €22). Both meals were very professionally prepared and delicious. The service was very friendly and competent—and a bit hectic due to the staff shortage during the holiday season. We will eat there again on our future visits to Cologne and highly recommend the restaurant for both vegetarian and meat dishes.

We came here for dinner with four children. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. I had lamb shank with eggplant and rice, the most tender and delicious lamb I've ever had!

This was our last time there... definitely... Expensive, the starter was forgotten first - then they complained when we complained about it - a dessert was forgotten, the table was cleared while 2 out of 5 were still eating... No way - the waiter who was supposed to be serving us was very nice and apologized several times - the majority of the rest of the staff - who also seemed to always be taking something away from us - were definitely just untrained and just wanted to get home quickly... Not a pleasant experience for over €200...

If no parking is needed, a nice beer garden

Unfriendly service, a supposed frappe for €4.50, which, first of all, isn't worthy of a frappé in terms of its capacity (250ml), and then it's so thin that you can see the cathedral through it. A 6. If at least the staff were friendly... I'd rather go somewhere else.

Absolutely the best place to see Cologne's skyline in the evening. The food, drinks, and staff are all okay.

There were shrimp, octopus tubes, and zander with vegetables in a hollandaise sauce, which had nothing to do with Mediterranean preparation. The fish and octopus were completely unseasoned, covered in flour. The fish fell apart, thawed, and fried to death. The side salad consisted almost entirely of iceberg lettuce, a few grated carrots, onion strips, and a much too sweet instant yogurt dressing. The chilled white wine we ordered was too warm. The staff was bored; never again…

We ate there yesterday during the day. We sat outside. Awesome view. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The service was prompt. The garlic bread from the appetizer was incredibly delicious. The tzatziki was fantastic. The highlight was the gyro with Gorgonzola, an absolute must-try when you're there.

We went to the Sunday brunch, which offered a rich, varied, and large selection of breakfast, lunch, and dessert. There was something for everyone, and the food was constantly replenished. The staff is always available to answer any questions. The taste was amazing and the service was top-notch. We'd love to come back the next time we're in Cologne.

We ordered the grill plate because it was a bit small for two people, so I ordered another one and we were really full and the meat and croquettes were very tasty. The drinks were also well chilled. My mum had a banana boat for dessert, which she said was very filling but tasty, and I had a spaghetti ice cream. I was initially surprised by the small bowl; it looked like a child's ice cream and the spaghetti looked a bit different, which they should work on... but everything was very tasty and the staff were very friendly.

There may be a great view, but unfortunately the food is just average. The food isn't tasty. It's boring, dry, and skillful. That doesn't justify the prices either. What a shame.

We were in Cologne today with a small group, and when you're out and about a lot, you get hungry. We actually came across this restaurant by chance, but it was a real stroke of luck. Very good food and, for Cologne, very good prices. We enjoyed the meal on the terrace with a wonderful view of the Rhine, the cathedral, and the railway bridge. Very friendly service, good food, and a lovely atmosphere. I can only recommend that you take a short walk to the other side of the Rhine and enjoy your meal there before squeezing yourself together in the streets around the cathedral with their rather musty air.

His suggestion of two appetizer plates for 12 people was not excessive and went well with our chosen main courses. I'd be happy to come back.

Nice restaurant in itself, but the service was really at its limit on a Sunday evening. Everything seemed rushed, the food was served quickly and carelessly. The waiter then tried to "adjust" my order because the person sitting opposite me had a similar order, and supposedly they could combine both grill plates into one large grill plate. Double the price, but not the same amount as if everyone ordered individually. A lot of money for rather meager portions of meat and cold side dishes of rice. The salad was a disaster. Plus, they were sold out of lemons (?). Maybe it's a personal preference, but for me, grilled souvlaki definitely needs lemon juice. But hey, if you want a nice view of the cathedral and the Rhine, you can pay a lot of money for the view, nothing more.
