Restaurant Oasis in Köln

The ambiance looks very nice, but the side salad was very meager. I would have liked a cucumber, tomato, and carrot, but it was just a few lettuce leaves with onions. The steak was very good 👍🏼

Good Greek food (standard), fast staff, BEST LOCATION, correct prices. The restaurant is just a bit older. But overall, definitely a PLACE TO BE.

A real piece of Greece in the middle of the city! As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed and the cozy, Mediterranean atmosphere immediately invites you to linger. The furnishings are tasteful - not kitschy, but with loving details that are reminiscent of a vacation in Greece. The menu offers a great selection of classic Greek dishes - from moussaka to grilled to fresh fish. I chose the calamari and it was outstanding! The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell that people work here with real passion. Conclusion: If you want to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine in Cologne, this is the right place for you. I'll definitely be back! As already promised on site!

Generous portions (grill plate for two people), very tasty and great location

Relaxed buffet atmosphere, because two courses (cold and then warm) are presented at brunch. That means most of the tables are occupied anyway. This creates a quiet breakfast. No rush. The buffet is constantly refilled and the employees are very attentive to empty plates. Plus the beautiful view towards the cathedral and the Rhine. It makes you warm.

We always feel very comfortable there.

We had a nice seat by the window and could enjoy the panorama. The food and service were very good. We'd love to come back. A small drawback for tomorrow's guests is the play area, which is unfortunately not well equipped and playable. Feeling good also means that the little guests feel comfortable with you. If the children are doing well, the parents are also doing well and they will be happy to come back.

Excellent Greek and international cuisine. Very good service. Very friendly staff. There is no restaurant in Cologne that offers this panorama of the cathedral and the old town. Brunch on Sunday is particularly recommended. Very good value for money

A great restaurant. Whenever I'm in Cologne I plan a visit. First of all, the view of the cathedral and the Rhine is great and the food is incredibly delicious. The service perfect. Also ideal for small babies. Changing options and a play corner are all there.

We were there for brunch and there was a good selection at the buffet, very friendly service and a very good view of Cologne Cathedral and the old town.

Nice staff and a nice view of the Rhine. However, I had to wait a very long time - in my case about 70 minutes after ordering. The tables are too close together and the prices are rather high, even for Cologne. The food was average. Conclusion: I probably won't go again.

I loved it. I didn't trust the buffet but there were many options that I usually eat at home (I'm from Argentina) and they were well prepared. There was fish, chicken, potatoes in different forms, salads for all tastes.

Die Reservierung funktionierte problemlos. Der Empfang war freundlich. Die Getränkebestellungen wurden schnell aufgenommen und gebracht. Ebenso funktionierte es bei den Vorspeisen. Diese kamen extrem schnell. Danach kamen die Beilagensalate, leider wurden diese mit einem dicken Dressing überzogen. Da wäre mir Essig und Öl zusammen mit ein paar leckeren Kräutern lieber gewesen. Die Hauptspeisen kamen für alle Personen gleichzeitig soweit das möglich war. Mehrere Kellner waren daran beteiligt. Die Portionen waren ausreichend groß, jedoch zahlt man beim Preis die Aussicht mit. Geschmacklich war das Essen in Ordnung. Was mir nicht gefallen hat war ein großer Teil des Personals. Dieses wirkte teilweise unfreundlich. Die dunkle Kleidung des Personals wirkte in der Masse ebenfalls unfreundlich. Die Sprachkenntnisse mancher Kellner waren begrenzt. Der Laden ist sehr groß und wirkt deshalb in manchen Bereichen unpersönlich. An einem engen Durchgang wurde eine Garderobe angebracht. Ständig rannten die Kellner mit vollen Tellern und abgeräumten Geschirr an der dort hängenden Kleidung vorbei. Da blieb vermutlich der ein oder andere Fleck zurück. Fazit: Durchschnittliches Restaurant ohne gefühlte griechische Gastfreundschaft.

The food was a complete disaster! There was no dressing in the salad and there was no Metaxer sauce in the Metaxgyros. We spoke to the waiters and were told that's just the way it is... The staff was very unfriendly, unprofessional and very sleazy. My biggest criticism is that the “waiter” smelled like old sweat. It was extremely unpleasant and I was happy when we were able to leave the restaurant!

Everything OK. Typical Greek as it has been known since the 1980s/90s. Solid and tasty but without sophistication.

We have been to the Oasis Restaurant several times and are thrilled every time! The food is absolutely delicious, always fresh and prepared with love. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and always ensures that you feel completely at home - simply top service! The atmosphere is particularly impressive: sitting directly on the Rhine with a view of Cologne Cathedral makes a visit here a real experience. We can only warmly recommend the Oasis Restaurant and would be happy to come back at any time. A place not to be missed in Cologne!

There's no need to talk too much about the fantastic location! The service is attentive, as is the boss with his wonderful, very unique Greek style. The food was excellent - we had the excellent braised leg of lamb. Tender meat that almost fell off the bone in a spicy, well-seasoned sauce. Plus fried potato slices with garlic and tzatziki. A dream. The price of €22 is also really reasonable. The side salad is the green boredom that is everywhere and unfortunately not worth mentioning - iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, grated carrots and a yogurt dressing. They could have used a little more Greek pizzazz here or simply left it out. Still, no deduction for that. The baked zucchini and aubergines weren't all that great after being in the deep fryer for too long, unfortunately - more care should have been taken here. But together with the really good tzatziki it still tasted okay. A good Greek coffee afterwards is highly recommended, and at the end there was an ouzo on the house. We were very satisfied and will of course come back for the good leg of lamb!

Staff unfriendly... Not really a flagship for the restaurant... It's a shame, since the terrace already invites you to linger...

If you want to have breakfast at Sunday brunch, you should be there shortly after 10. After 12 there is almost no breakfast.

Was here at lunchtime and had the gyros bowl. It has a very good price-performance ratio as a lunch menu and the portion size is plenty for lunch. The service was quite quick, but there were only a few guests there at lunchtime. The view of the cathedral is also very beautiful.

The food was OK, but it can't be that you're still eating and the plates of the others sitting at the table are already being cleared away. Looks like you want to say give rubber with food, we need the table.

IMPORTANT!!! Ask for a receipt, they try to deduct more through “old prices” that are everywhere and then they claim, “yes, those are old prices”. The waffle costs €10.1 instead of €7, even though there is a large board with the “old prices” right at the entrance. No view of these “new prices” The overall poor rating is more than justified. Nice view, but that was it. Don't get ripped off!!

A great restaurant experience on the Rhine! The Oasis restaurant impresses across the board. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay pleasant from the start. You feel in good hands at all times. The food was consistently good. We particularly enjoyed the gratinated gyros with fries. The portion sizes were also generous and left us completely satisfied. The view of the Rhine is simply beautiful and makes staying in the restaurant particularly pleasant. All in all, a restaurant that we would happily visit again. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for good food and a great location by the water.

It's very pleasant to sit on the outdoor terrace with a view of the old town. The restaurant was very busy and filled to capacity. The drinks were okay and so was the food, classic Mediterranean cuisine, the taste was okay. The service is very friendly and fast, a few minutes of waiting can be forgiven in a full restaurant. The prices were above average. For example, we paid a total of €64 for two main courses (around €20 each), a starter (€9) and three drinks.

Location, location, location..., a fantastic view over the Rhine to the cathedral and the old town. Food good. The price is a bit more expensive than the Greek restaurant around the corner, which is probably due to the location. Staff very friendly and quick. All good 👍.

Everything was really top from service to food.

Gyros, liver, fries, salad were ok, nothing special. The view of the cathedral and water is worthy of a hit. The facility could use an overhaul.

Well, I've never experienced anything like that before - a children's plate and a large plate of gyros were the same size. When we asked the waiter about it, he said yes, it's a kitchen problem. We said that we would like more gyros. I mean, the large plate costs almost €18 and the small one almost 12€ then he said ah come on, what's 7€ that's what a coffee costs, you need it so much So please... And a waiter I quote “pass my plate” as he handed out the salad At the end we wanted to pay he asked if we were happy we said no it was very rude he laughed, only cleared half and walked away again.. Don't eat there, very rude shop, very rude service and no good food…

The location seems to be an excuse for the restaurant's poor service. The food itself is tasty but the staff... I was there with friends. We all ordered something. One of my friends orders a children's plate with gyros and fries. I order the same in large. (150 on the menu) the only difference was the size of the plate. There was no more food. I spoke to the waiter, Mr. Anestis. He didn't like that and said what more to eat for €7, smoke but complain about food. (Short version) I'm really quiet but I would have liked to throw the plate after him. As far as rudeness goes, you can't beat it.

This restaurant is on the bank of the Rhine River with spectacular views across Cologne. Staff were friendly and attentive and spoke fluent English. It was busy with a nice atmosphere, we didn't book and they gave us a reserved table which was a suprise. We didn't wait too long for our meal, I had the rump steak, which was cooked to perfection with chunky chips/salad, and my wife had the lamb tagine, which was also cooked to perfection, considering we 4 alcoholic drinks the bill came to just over 49euros. We recommend anyone to dine here, and if we are in Cologne in the future, we will pay them another visit. It made our last night in Cologne memorable. Thank you to the Oasis

So we had a bad experience. This would-be boss literally attacked us because of a bouquet of flowers we had been given. Brought his employees to the table to reinforce him. What a ridiculous act. Please tip generously so that the owner can buy flowers. Just ridiculous.
