Restaurant qui possède une décoration très sympa, une vrai plongée dans le passé. Dommage que les serveurs ne soient pas en costume d'époque ;-) Le repas était plutôt bon, sans prétention. Café en fin de repas à éviter par contre. Le service était correct mais relativement froid... C'est malheureusement ce qui me fait baisser la note...

Very nice restaurant under the tracks. If you don't mind the quiet noise of the train, it's a very pleasant place to dine.

Very good food and good ambience

Great kitchen; good service; beautiful surroundings. It just so happened that we started our stay in Berlin at the Nolle restaurant. Later, we visited other catering establishments, but we did not find such a cozy environment and excellent food. That's why we had dinner again at Nolle on the last day :)

A great place to eat near Alexanderplatz, the center of Berlin. The restaurant is quite nice, the service is good and the food is quite good. The boulette is especially good.

Great Berlin hospitality with regional dishes

Recommended for a beer in the back garden after work, but not so much as a restaurant. The food is okay, but the offering is similar to that of any snack bar in Berlin, but at four times the price; Grotesquely overpriced for the quality and quantity. It's really only worth it because of the location if you're in the hotel there and don't want to walk far.

Please be very careful if you visit this restaurant/bar. The staff charge you for drinks you didn’t have. The staff are liars and thieves. Said I asked for drinks when I wasn’t even there at the time the drinks were rung up, but up in my hotel room speaking to my husband.

Really nice little traditional food place. Inside is decorated really pretty, and the outside patio behind the restaurant is very peaceful. The waiter was quick and although he wasn't bubbly, he answered all questions and provided great service.

Got off to a great start, turned up without a reservation but was offered a couple of choices of seating. The initial order was taken and service was courteous and efficient. Ordered drinks and requested a brief hiatus before ordering the food. Drinks arrived and food order taken. Main course arrived promptly and everyone enjoyed their food, the peppercorn cream was really good. Plates were cleared, a second round of soft drinks were ordered and again arrived promptly. Desserts were ordered and from there things slowed dramatically. After 20 minutes wait for a chocolate ice cream and an apple strudel a waiter was asked where the dessert was. The waiter said they would find out and 10 minutes later no update and still waiting. The dessert arrived at the point of exasperation and the bill was requested. The dessert was nothing to write home about, definitely had better apple pie which was disappointing. After a further period of waiting managed to grab the attention of the waiter to pay the bill. Final insult was the expectation of a tip for poor level service. Such a shame as up to the dessert debacle was very happy but left feeling let down.

Very enjoyable dinner. Very good dishes. Very good portions. I would like everyone to take the previous review from Dalia RDF with a big grain of salt. I was there and the waiter was trying to be as reasonable as possible to an unrealistic and entitled demand from this family. The family pushed the waiter to be confrontational saying “this is not how it is in my country” when it was clear on the menu that it would be raw. They should have read, ask questions and ask for clarifications if they were unsure of the dish they were getting. They finally got another dish after the manager stepped in and clearly had enough of the shouting match instigated by this family ruining everyone’s experience at this restaurant. Please learn about the culture, learn about the food if you go somewhere that is not your country. If you prefer to eat food from your country, Berlin is so diverse, you can find it here easily.

A good place for typical German food. They are very friendly, fast and the food is very good. My partner and I tried Schnitzel and a curry wurst and it was all pretty good.

I ate with my family in this place hoping to have a pleasant time, but the waiter's temperament and bad service made us feel uncomfortable. We ordered a fish dish that was described as "cold" on the menu in English. When they brought it we realized that the fish was raw, we asked the waiter to put it on the grill to cook it because the person who ordered it does not eat raw fish, and the waiter without any reason and rudely refused to do what we asked, saying that the The dish was traditional German and could not be modified in any way by cooking the fish because it would not taste the same. We explained our reasons (and that in his case we would have understood that it was crude if the letter said “RAW”), and since we loved him and he was very rude in his treatment, we asked him to speak to the manager and he refused to speak with us . He didn't ask us to choose another dish at a cost and we told him that all we wanted was for him to grill the fish. Anyway. The attention and treatment of the waiter was disappointing, I refuse to believe that Berliners are like that. In the end, after a couple of shouts, he changed our dish for another one from the menu at no cost, although he took the order in a bad way and repeated that we read the menu carefully. Of course I don't recommend places like this where you receive rude treatment.

Kitchen top BUT the older blonde waitress with a somewhat rough voice threw my debit card on the table and exposed me for not giving a tip. I wanted to do it but just verbally attacking me in an angry manner is not possible. We were regulars...but now WE HAVE BEEN.

I was surprised that this restaurant is not a typical tourist place. Very centrally located and very cozy inside. The food was of good quality. Prices are correspondingly high in the area.

Amazing place to dine and try German food in Berlin. Don’t let the location fool you! It is right by the train station in a cute little alley near the beautiful River. Menu with amazing German food offerings for vegetarians and non vegetarians as well. Portions are quite generous and the prices are very reasonable. Service is very friendly and top notch! Highly recommend!

Wow! What a great little find. After a long day ambling around Berlin's many sites we stumbled upon Nolle. No problem with a table and the service was 1st class - attentive and welcoming. We had a couple of schnitzels (Nolle were happy to accommodate an egg allergy) and drinks, all excellent. Would heartily recommend.

Perfect for the start of the European Championship! Very tasty 👌👌👌. We can recommend homemade marinated chicken 🍗. Plus a 3 colored short!

Drinks were served, the Allgäu tarte flambée, well I've had better ones, the cheese was hard to taste, the arugula salad wasn't the freshest either, but the service was friendly and quick, I'll stop by there again sometime. Otherwise very empty at lunchtime, Charly B.

Ok food but the old waitresses commented that we were rude when she didn't receive tip for serving the food like Germany was a third country. We eat a burger and a schnitzel. We have paid tourist taxes to hotels and 8 eur for water at the restaurants. And now they want extra money for serving regular food. Weird country....

Tarte flambée was good, service a bit anonymous and a lot gone. Unfortunately the tap in the bathroom didn't work. Location of course great. Parking was easy to find a few hundred meters on Universitätsstrasse.

Das Essen war im Grunde sehr lecker, leider ließ der Service zu wünschen übrig. Es dauerte fast 20 Minuten bis unsere Bestellung überhaupt einmal aufgenommen wurde. Leider war der Umgang auch generell eher schroff.

Pleasant atmosphere. Very centrally located and easy to reach by public transport on Friedrichstrasse. The waitresses are friendly and very reliable. The food is also very tasty and you can also order a large beer (1 liter / measure).

Authentic German cuisine, wide variety in the menu including vegan options, fast service and the waitress was smiley and helpful with her advices and recommendations.

I love the Jager schnitzel & equally love the warm potato salad. I thought about it on my whole flight to Berlin 😄 and couldn't wait to eat here again. It was crowded but I didn't have to wait for a table. The schnitzel came out quick & was hot, fresh.

We made a reservation on advice from the website. Zur Nolle is a historic restaurant underneath the railroad tracks. When we arrived it was almost empty, but within an hour filled up with large groups. Food and beer were good, but service was poor, at least from our waitress. Waitress collected our plates after we finished and then completely disappeared. No one asked if we wanted more to drink or dessert. After 20 minutes of sitting there, I waved to another waitress who eventually got the head waiter to come to our table and take my husband's dessert order. That said, all the food was good, the restaurant is charming and it's kind of neat to hear the trains running overhead. But the very poor service spoiled the evening.

Food average, but great atmosphere

Typical Berlin charm, good value for money and really great staff. Went there twice in a row in a short space of time and it was worth it.

We sat outside in the yard. Nice in itself, but unfortunately much too loud due to the proximity to the S-Bahn. You had to shout at each other every few minutes. On the menu there was a dish with “small baked potatoes”. When I ordered I got fried triplets. It's absolutely not the same for me. The waitress said (when asked about it) “yes, we used to bake the baked potato with aluminum in the oven, now the triplets are our baked potato”. I'm currently avoiding fats and oils as much as possible, which is very difficult with the menu at Nolle. If I had been eating alone, I would of course have chosen another restaurant, but we were there with work colleagues. So I had to choose the best alternative for me and when I ordered the salad I asked that the balsamic dressing be made without oil (I do that at home too). What they gave me was pure vinegar essence in a cup with the note “it is very strong and spicy, be careful when dosing”. I know that special requests from customers are always a hassle and a bit annoying, but I found that really pointless. I still wanted dressing, spices and herbs would be ok, I just asked that no oil be used. My colleague's vegetable lasagne didn't really put a smile on his face either. Overall, I felt moderately comfortable as a guest, especially since you had the feeling that our waitress didn't really love her job. EDIT (after Nolle's reaction): Thank you for your reply. Please allow me to answer the following: Even if the train has been running there since 1530 and you certainly can't help it, this description is my subjective impression, which is part of my overall impression of the evening. I didn't blame you in any way, I was just saying that I don't like having to yell at myself every 2 minutes. The fact that there should be salt, pepper, vinegar and mustard in the dressing is simply a lie. Excuse me, but that's how it is. I was definitely given a glass of pure vinegar, which can be seen in the photo and which 4 of my colleagues can also attest to. A baked potato is not fried with fat (organic or not). And these potatoes are swimming in fat. So they are fried and if that had been on the menu I wouldn't have ordered them. Regardless of the “irritating” name. Ok, I put it diplomatically at first, then put it differently: your waitress that evening was simply unfriendly. That's not just my impression, my colleague didn't feel well either. If she loves her job (thanks for clarifying your question), maybe she should show it to the guests too. I'm still sticking with 3 stars overall, even though I should rate it differently.

We went there for dinner on the recommendation of friends. There is explicitly Berlin or good home cooking. I was very pleased to be able to eat a “purebred” Wiener Schnitzel again. I had the impression that it was unseasoned. The fried potatoes I ordered were also a bit tasteless for me. But salt and pepper are on the table... It's better to add a little more seasoning... The atmosphere reminds you of the 1920s. The rumbling of the S-Bahn sends greetings to the many shops that found their homes below this viaduct.

Qualität Essen war ok. Der Kellner machte sich während dem ganzen Aufenthalt über uns lustig. Sollte wohl als Berliner-Humor gemeint sein, auf uns Schweizerinnen wirkte das aber sehr unprofessionell und wir fühlten uns nicht als Gast behandelt.

This place has some true and charming German atmosphere. The food is proper German, and so are the beers as well! There is more than enough space for big groups here. Though, it can be a bit loud, but that’s also part of the atmosphere

Very nice restaurant in the S-Bahn Bogen that respects Berlin tradition. This applies to the menu and the ambience. I also found it very good to find out something about the history of the restaurant in the menu. I found prices for a main course under €20 in this location to be pleasant.

The food is okay, not bad, but not good either. The bullets and fries looked bad and didn't go down well either. My veg. Lasagna was OK. Unfortunately it is so loud there that it is difficult to have a conversation with the other person.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our last night in Berlin and it truly topped off a fabulous weekend. It was our favourite dinner of our trip. A true taste of Germany! We ordered the meatballs and for desert we had the delicious Apfel Strudel. The service was great, we had a lovely waitress and although the place was packed with people, we were served so quick. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to experience authentic German food in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Something like a brewery. Very big and quite loud. Unfortunately, the offers on the display in front of the door are not correct. When asked, the cheaper price on the board was simply wiped away and it was said that the price on the card applies! 😞 Food was ok, service was friendly and polite. Prices are ok so far.

It would be nice if the train didn't pass over us, the kitchen did not appeal to me, the food was heavy.

We were shocked at the hostility that the boss displayed towards us last night. It went far beyond the regular Berliner Schnauze that you get used to in this area. Being regulars at this venue, we arrived as a group. She told us "this is the last time I tell you to call us up in advance". We're not fussed about not being able to all sit together, so not sure why this threat. The other staff are customer-friendly and flexible and we like interacting with them.

Fast service with good food in sufficient quantities. Still mass processing. Toilets are of post-war standards.

Lovely art deco restaurant. Food was great. Wife loved the egg bacon and spinach and my schnitzel was perfect. Just what we needed after a day walking around the city.

Just always nice here. As a tourist you should go to this restaurant once, because it is pure Berlin. The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is rustic and the service is friendly, attentive and always has a joke on their faces. So, an absolute recommendation!

The only thing that is annoying in the long run is the S-Bahn. However, it does fit the vibe. Service and food are great.

We booked a table for eight, but were guided to two tables of four. There was also a wasp nest near the tables and we lost half our drinks to wasps drowning themselves in them. Waiter couldn’t tell the allergenics from the menu and we waited 40 minutes for service in a near empty restaurant before leaving.

You won’t be disappointed with a meal out at Restaurant Nolle. The vibes are great, with wonderful staff and the rumble of the trains passing through above you. As vegetarians/ vegans we had a good choice of food and were very happy with what we got. Service was a little slow but we really didn’t mind considering how nice the ambience was and how delicious the food was. Must try the apple straddle!!

Seen from the outside, the place promises, I ordered one of the most expensive dishes on the menu, veal schnitzel (wiener schnitzel) and it was disappointing, the accompanying salad was not fresh. The waiter was very friendly, but I wouldn't go back

Great and delicious restaurant in the S-Bahn arches. The entrance has a step, but there is a ramp for people with wheelchairs to ensure barrier-free entry.

The interior dates from the roaring 20’s and that was a great time to be in Berlin. As the restaurant is under the railway station of the S-bahn you can hear every train running above your head. The restaurant has very high ceilings and this combination makes it a noisy place but the food is decent German with Schnitzels and fish and pommes, the beers are big and cool and the strudel is very good.

The price, performance and service are still right here. Thanks to all employees. We look forward to the next visit.

The food is OK, but 3.70 euros for a glass of water? It seems like an armed robbery to me, honestly. We will not return.

There were two of us here and we didn't have a reservation. Despite the full house, we managed to get a seat. The service was really very friendly and served us perfectly. Food and drinks came very quickly. We had bullets with vegetables. The bullets were a bit dry and you had to look for the vegetables. Nevertheless, for a large kitchen, the quality is completely fine. Clear recommendation.

A century-old restaurant, opened in the 1920s for the popular classes, ended up closing in the 1960s. Today it has come back to life maintaining that art deco touch of its origin and a very Berlin menu with the famous currywurst sausages 🌭🍟🍻

Wat mij betreft het beste restaurant voor Duitse keuken in Berlijn. Hier blijf je terugkomen. De lokatie is super leuk net als de inrichting. Je waant je hier direct in de jaren 1920. Personeel is altijd vriendelijk en goed.
