Stopped by by chance while visiting Berlin. Come in, take a seat and feel comfortable, that's how it was for us. Went there with 5 people and had a good meal. Service very friendly and prices okay.

I was going to order Haksen, schnitzel, and currywurst, but they said it was okay to just order Haksen and schnitzel because they said there was a lot of food! As I said, it was enough food for two adult men, and most of all, the staff who served me were so kind that I had a great first meal in Berlin! The food is delicious, friendly, and the atmosphere is nice, so many Koreans should go there~~

We ate at this beautiful restaurant serving typical German cuisine during our visit to the German capital and we fell in love with it. Whether it is the roast pork shank accompanied by tasty sauerkraut and potatoes, the infamous currywurst accompanied by excellent french fries (much better than those found on the street in fast food restaurants) or the typical Spatzle seasoned with cheese, onion and herbs, everything, absolutely everything we tried was delicious and we can't wait to return to Berlin even just to eat in this restaurant. The dessert is also delicious, a sort of large pancake torn into pieces and garnished with ice cream, icing sugar, apple and orange. Furthermore you can also find a menu in Italian. Highly recommended!!

Abbiamo mangiato in questo bellissimo ristorante di cucina tipica tedesca durante la nostra visita alla capitale tedesca e ce ne siamo innamorati. Che si tratti dello stinco di maiale arrosto accompagnato da gustosi crauti e patate, del famigerato currywurst accompagnate da ottime patatine fritte (molto più buono di quelli che si trovano per strada nei fast food) o dei tipici Spatzle conditi con formaggio e cipolla ed erbe, tutto ma proprio tutto ciò che abbiamo provato era buonissimo e non vediamo l'ora di tornare a Berlino anche solo per mangiare in questo ristorante. Squisito anche il dolce, una sorta di grande pancake fatto a pezzi e guarnito con gelato, zucchero a velo, mela ed arancia. Inoltre potrete trovare anche un menù in italiano. Consigliatissimo!!

Julchen Hoppe - German Restaurant Good German cuisine with great staff. Despite the tourist location, the price/performance ratio is right, and as a Berliner you can also go there.

I liked everything very much. We were with two wheelchair users. Despite this, they quickly organized the place and provided excellent service. The food is fantastic. The veal rollas were more tender than cream on strawberries!!! And the red cabbage in the joint was something that reminded me of grandma's food when I was a kid. We will return here more than once, despite the huge selection provided by Berlin!!!

We were looking for a place with traditional German food and we found this restaurant. Very close to the monuments to Marx and Engels, and close to the museum island, it did not disappoint us. We ordered two portions of Currywurst, a traditional dish if there is one. The sausages were very good, with a tomato-based sauce that had a very good sweet touch. We really liked the restaurant too, the decoration made it very cozy. A place to which we will return if we have the opportunity. Highly recommended!

Due to popularity the restaurant was booked but they had ample seating outside, service was quick and efficient and the food was warm tasty and comforting in a chilly evening. Coachman’s plate was Devine

Excellent German food in an intimate atmosphere.

Delightful small restaurant with exceptionally good food. Two of our party had the sauerbraten, one had text knuckle, and I had the most venison. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal although it was huge, it could easily have had two people enjoy one meal and still had food to take home. Each of the meals were served with red cabbage and cranberries, which was also excellent. The restaurant is attractive, and the people are very pleasant. I highly recommend!

We were a birthday party for our 14 year old son. Unfortunately, despite making a reservation over a week ago, we were seated at two separate tables in front of the toilet. The food came separately, 2 people had to eat alone and the rest later, the little daughter started to cry because she was hungry and saw others eating next to her. One meal ended up being returned because it wasn't good. Sure, mistakes can happen and the service and kitchen apologized, but that was the end of the birthday. Just a shame about the evening and the money...

Speisen phantasielos, schlechte Preisleistung, Nach dem der Sauerbraten (trocken, sehnig, zäh) zu 2/3 auf dem Teller blieb, wurde nicht mal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung sei. Service nicht vorhanden, Bedienung unfreundlich, gleichgültig. Waren früher schon mal hier, da war es um Klassen besser. Nicht mehr dass, was es mal war.

The dill sauce with the fish just tasted sour. Then why the extra lemon? The Jim Beam Cola not only tasted completely wrong because of the Pepsi Cola alone, but also like a cheap Scotch mixed with Pepsi. I come from the catering industry myself and can immediately taste the difference between bourbon and scotch. It doesn't matter if it was presented from an original Jim Beam bottle. The smell and taste is what makes a real Jim Beam. I am very disappointed to have to experience something like this in a German restaurant. 😣

Restaurant in the center of Berlin. We ate several courses, which in this restaurant are very abundant, therefore an appetizer is like a portion. Fair price, almost low for the huge quantity of food brought. It was a miracle that I managed to finish the 1.2kg shank, which was still very tasty, with a side of excellent sauerkraut. The cabbage roulade was too salty, the sauce was an absolute mess and the potatoes were inedible. Baked potato completely dried out and the vegetables and salad were completely over-seasoned! This was a really catastrophe. I don't know how they could spoil even vegetable salad, not even speaking about main dishes. They looked as if they just took frozen food from the nearest Lidl and tasted the same, then asked you 20 euro for this. I put two stars instead of one only because the service and place itself were nice.

I left this store today stunned. You can't beat the disrespect towards your guests. We were there with a larger group and I understand that 15 meals at the same time is a challenge, but then not accepting criticism but arguing with the saying that you wouldn't be able to return a kebab in a snack bar that doesn't taste good is a significant act your own self-perception. I was the only one who had the “fresh chanterelles” with boiled potatoes. The chanterelles were raw and slimy and simply inedible, especially because they were full of sand and made a crunch in the mouth. Canned chanterelles were also mixed in. I felt sick after two bites and let the food go back. As proof that they were real chanterelles, I was shown an empty mushroom basket, which rather confirmed the can's suspicion, as the supply had apparently run out. I still had to pay for this expensive meal and when I wasn't happy about it I was turned away from the store. Absolute disaster, I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't experienced it myself. The restaurant manager's passive-aggressive tone not only shows a lack of appreciation for guests but also reveals their inner attitude towards them - from this one can conclude that the quality of the food is poor. However, it remains questionable whether a man would have been treated in the same condescending manner. One thing is clear: the idea of ​​service is out of place here; only sales count here. UPDATE to owner's response: How sad that an owner cannot handle criticism and aggressively insults the customer personally and also distorts the facts that I was supposed to have been loud. If you want to try a local restaurant, good traditional german cuisine and beer, this is the place. Far way from the crowded places with lots of turists here I find a cozy place, surrounded by Linden trees with all nice flowers and smell, kind staff, fair prices and well served plates. Just come and enjoy.
