Short vacation to Berlin and spontaneously to the restaurant Bavarian specialties and Bavarian beer Really great and delicious food. In the 3 days we ate there twice. Price performance perfect. Very friendly service The next visit to Berlin will definitely be here

The finest currywurst (tender), Augustiner Helles on the terrace, very friendly service, what more could you want as a Franconian in Berlin? A little hidden opposite the Chancellery and near the main station.

We were at Zollpackhof on a Friday night. It is practically next to Berlin Hbf. The wheat beer is spectacular with a pronounced and creamy taste. We ordered Schnitzel, traditional but very tasty and crispy. For dessert we had Brownie, simply fantastic!

Full, everything in the self-service and longer queues at the bar. Not really my thing but the beer is good.

After work, have a beer with friends. It is unbearably loud in the restaurant. Very bad acoustics. Too bad, we'll look for something else...

A restaurant in a historic location. The ambience is largely consistent with a modular Bavarian restaurant, like the one you find in Munich. The food is okay, even if it doesn't necessarily correspond to what you would expect as a Bavarian. It is also a lot more expensive than in corresponding Munich restaurants. Nevertheless, you can combat your homesickness a little with a visit, because at least there is real Bavarian beer and often even from a wooden barrel.

Unfortunately, it was very, very loud when eating inside. I could hardly understand my neighbor, but the food was great. Thanks to the kitchen

Despite Biden's visit and barriers around the Chancellery and the like, we still managed to get there! The food, ambience and waiters and winemakers were extremely good and highly recommended! Gladly again!

Nice atmosphere but the quality of the food is subpar! Plus very high prices.

We ate very well but remained hungry since we were not able to order desserts. Our waitress left without warning us that the kitchen was closing. No one came to take over, we had to call the waiters to clear us out and were told we couldn't order any more desserts. What a shame for our stay in Berlin!

We ate here twice whilst on holiday. We ate the autumn seasonal menu. Pumpkin soup, goats cheese with figs basically all of it. Large potion sizes well worth every penny. We even tied the veal of the normal menu, yummy. Asked the waitress to recommend a dessert on second visit. She did not disappoint with the poppyseed cake. The place was always busy very friendly staff always clean. Highly recommend this place whenever you're in the area. However MUST BOOK IN ADVANCE. although staff do very best to seat everyone.

Food was as cold as the room, I sent it back and it came back lukewarm. Nobody liked it. Unacceptable price/performance ratio.

Stopped by to eat on a rainy day as it was the nearest place. What do you know! I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Atmosphere was very cozy and pleasant. The service was very friendly. Gutted to have only the capacity for the food that we ordered because I was curious to try the other dishes! The beer and alcohol selections were a lot, so I think you can find the taste that you’d prefer here. Will definitely be back here when I re-visit Berlin!

Currywurst is a weird and wonderful German invention.

I'm not sure why Zollpackhof doesn't have a higher rating. I'd give it 100 stars if I could. I dream of their Currywurst and would probably eat it every day along with one of their monster-sized beers. Out of everywhere I ate in Berlin, this is the one I'd make a beeline to return to if / when I return.

...I completed the Berlin Marathon 24 :-) my parents surprised me and came to Berlin, just mmeeggaa. Food was very tasty, great value for money, service was very nice, highly recommended :-).

Lovely atmosphere and overall a top notch place for a lunch though quite costly. Enjoyed their venison goulash and a strudel with dessert paired with an excellent Pear Schnapps. Staff was available and very polite though not everyone there was very adept at English, still I enjoyed my lunch quite a lot plus the beer they had was excellent as well.

It's delicious, but it's pricey. Schnitzel 26 euros It's a bit noisy during lunch time. Also, I went alone and had to wait until I had to clean up my plate, which was uncomfortable. Because I was busy, I couldn't get a proper explanation of the food, so I got beef schnitzel. There is a cheaper lunch menu, so eat that. So I didn't want to stay too long so I left quickly.

Wegen des bevorstehenden Feiertags und der Oktoberfestsaison war es voll, wuselig und unglaublich laut. Gespräch beim Essen kaum möglich. Was mich am meisten gestört hat war, dass es rundweg abgelehnt wurde, die Beilage Spätzle durch Knödel zu ersetzen, was irgendwie nicht so schwierig klingt, auch wenn’s voll ist. Schade. Sonst Essen und Bedienung ok. War aber insgesamt kein besonders überzeugendes Erlebnis und nächstes Mal gehen wir lieber woanders hin.

Food was incredible- I had the Munich Schnitzel and absolutely loved it. We also had the sausage salad which completely blew my mind. The portions are very generous. I’m not sure what to say about the service as we are Americans, but of all the places I went over a week’s time in Germany, this was the only one where our server was somewhat hostile towards us and seemed genuinely annoyed to have us at his table. He forgot about one of our appetizers and it was almost 50 minutes between the first appetizer and our entree, and it was difficult to flag him down as it seemed he was avoiding our table. Maybe I was imagining it but it just wasn’t a nice feeling. However the food was so good I can completely overlook the service from our main waiter as everyone else was kind and friendly (host, bussers, and food runners).

During our recent visit to Zollpackhof, we were treated to an unforgettable dining experience that perfectly captured the essence of Oktoberfest. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The waitresses were incredibly attentive. There was a live band that played both traditional Bavarian music and country music throughout the evening as there was a oktoberfest event that night. Everyone was in high spirits, singing along, and dancing. As a tourist, we do feel like we were part of a celebration. The food portions were generous. We highly recommend trying the Munich sausage and the pork knuckle. Both dishes were well-seasoned. Another standout was the pretzel, which comes with the sausage. It was the best we’ve ever had in Germany. It was perfectly baked with a crispy crust and with just the right amount of salt. The combination of a warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food made for a perfect evening. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Bavarian cuisine in Berlin. Will definitely recommend to anyone who will visit Berlin.

After the Bundestag visit, quickly to the Zollpackhof. But: only possible after pre-ordering! Ok, you wait a tolerably long time - because; it was really packed. Beer is good, actually Bavarian. What was very good was that the dishes we ordered came to the table very promptly, almost at the same time. The ambience is well coordinated and conveys the feeling of a large restaurant from the first half of the last century. The light is warm and comes from interesting chandeliers. Stucco ceiling. Otherwise you just sit on wooden chairs. Good - but nothing extravagantly special. I like the effort to limit yourself to the essentials. The food was praised by everyone, my "small snack" was plentiful, varied and good. See pictures. Recommended for Berlin. Good bye. Kalle

I'm happy when companies do so well that they can do without my money. ;-) The only annoying thing is when I get off at the main train station on a Sunday evening specifically to visit there, only to find out that there is no more food in the beer garden and that a table for four people in the restaurant takes longer (even if it does when looking through the windows there were free tables...). Well, so we only drank one beer in the beer garden - which saved us money. And in the future I will save myself the time of getting off at the main train station and instead visit a restaurant at Friedrichstrasse train station. Too bad.

Wonderful atmosphere. Good quality hot German food. We were a party of 20 and we ate in the Biergarten. Loads of atmosphere and had a great evening. Thoroughly recommend it.

The restaurant has a lot of space and is very rustic and beautiful - especially because of the very tasteful lamps. The hard chairs without cushions are not so comfortable. There is also a well-attended terrace and a beer garden opposite the Chancellery on the Spree. My companion's sausage salad looked quite appealing. My Wiener Schnitzel was tough - riddled with tendons; the potato/cucumber salad consisted of overcooked potatoes floating in a watery sauce. Only the Bavarian cream with wild fruits was delicious. [Again proof that "Wiener Schnitzel-making" is an art that hardly anyone in Berlin has mastered!] The waiter always had to be called for repeat orders. Nobody cared whether it tasted good. Only a waitress asked the remaining guests late in the evening whether they wanted coffee because the espresso machine should be turned off. My very personal service highlight!

For me there is no nicer beer garden in Berlin. Enjoying your beer under one of the oldest trees, the chestnut, is simply wonderful. A piece of Bavaria on the Spree, opposite the Chancellery. Everything is authentic, sociable and so friendly. In the historic building of the old customs station is the restaurant with a larger selection of dishes and a beautiful terrace above the beer garden. All my friends know that Zollpackhof is my favorite place in Berlin.

Last night we spontaneously went to dinner there for a bachelor party; it was Oktoberfest and therefore packed. We still had our beer super quickly and the delicious food didn't have to wait long. Despite the full house, relaxed and friendly staff. Gladly again 🙏

A beer garden in the middle of Berlin. It is available with very good beer and typical Bavarian dishes. As usual with self-service and beer benches directly on the Spree with a view of the Chancellery. Typically for Berlin there are no good pretzels.

Average food, drinks are what you'd expect from a beer garden. The atmosphere is awesome though, very large outdoor seating next to the river. Great for large groups and very affordable. Don't come here for great dining, come here for great company and lots of beer and pick a day where the weather is nice outside.

Restaurant with an incredible history, which preserves the traditions of gastronomy, offering diverse dishes with a unique touch. Accompanied by incredible beer options and a unique atmosphere in each season. You can't miss the pork knuckle or the potato soup, in addition to the Veal Schnitzel. A true gastronomic gem.

Can't recommend this place enough. Staff was amazing, the servers and the owner take amazing care of everyone here. Authentic German/Bavarian experience here. Foot is great, beer is better, service was attentive and really great. Indors and outdoors, great experience.

VEGAN : Photo: Beer, german Pretzel, fries with sweet senf and pickle cucumber. In the restaurant you can find the only vegan plate: rice with vegetables and tomate curry. There is also a salad that is in the photo. Food is fine but would be nice that the main plate could have some source of protein too like nuts, tofu, beans or linsen. Berlin is vegan friendly but not this place.

Very nice restaurant with history. The food is German cuisine, with southern German influences. From Bavarian hearty to vegetarian. The desserts are very delicious. There is also a selection of cakes. In the large beer garden there are grilled specialties, tarte flambée, etc. You have to pick up the food there. In the lower part of the building there is the Augustinerkeller, which is open from October. The service is very friendly and also tries to accommodate special requests. Large selection of beers and various other drinks. Well suited for company and family celebrations. Oktoberfest begins there at the end of September. It is advisable to reserve. We'd love to come back.

It's really big, very friendly and fast service. Everything was full inside and outside and yet we only waited 20 minutes for our food, which tasted great and was plentiful. Great, highly recommended.

In itself a very nice location right on the river with a Bavarian style. The outside area is nicely decorated and there are plenty of places. However, the food was partly disappointing. The Vegetarian Buffalo Mozerella Pizza was announced as freshly prepared. However, we received a pizza that was already ready, lukewarm, and could have stayed in the oven for another 10 minutes. The fries were okay and the currywurst was tasty and with enough sauce. The Allgäuer Edelstoff tasted very good.

Two years ago we had such a good time there that we returned. It's a shame that in the meantime the staff has changed and the menu has become more expensive. There were two of us and one of us got a bee on his plate, the waiter took out the sausages and told us to eat them that it's normal. The times to be served are at least 30 minutes to take the order and 45 minutes for the dish. Paying also takes a long time. With what you pay, such poor service is shocking, also considering the staff in the dining room who are very well populated. The place is very nice and relaxing because it faces the river under the trees, it's a shame that it should see a nice change of management, possibly for the better. The quality of the food is classic German, therefore full of flavours, not very healthy and plentiful. Soups start from €9 while meat dishes are around €20. Be careful if you get water which costs €7.90 and the waiter laughs in your face.

2024... Largest city in Europe... Two cash registers... and the choice between "cash only" and "card payment only from €10"... If you operate under capitalism and don't understand capitalism... Well, be it That's the thing... unfortunately you have to leave without having accomplished anything. Otherwise it's actually a nice location. Too bad.

After its completion a few years ago, the Zollpackhof on the opposite side of the Spree from the Federal Chancellery impresses with its well-kept ambience, good cuisine and the best Augustiner beers. But the highlight is the beautiful beer garden with a view of the Chancellery and the Spree! On warm summer days (and not only then) you can enjoy the day and evening here, under old trees! A few minutes walk from the main train station, our favorite beer garden in Berlin!

Self-service, but there is a service person who goes around and clears away dishes that are no longer needed so that it always looks neat. The food is quite OK, nothing outstanding, the knuckles can be described as tiny, the prices are moderate. Toilet is good.

It is a beautiful beer garden with a chestnut tree and gravel floor as it should be. As always in the beer garden it is self-service, not the fastest but very friendly staff and the light beer tastes perfect.

The ambience is great, the beer garden is shaded by an ancient chestnut tree. There's freshly tapped food in the self-service area. If you want to avoid alcohol, you have to use the bottle. The prices for food are quite high.

The ambience is very nice, but on my last visit the roast pork was only served lukewarm. When I pointed this out to the service staff, I only got an "Oh" response.

Great beer garden, the prices are reasonable for the beer, but if they increased it would be too much, so I hope it stays that way and I can come back with many others. Service was below average in our case. The waiter barely understood German and brought us the wrong drinks. It was also not possible to respond to individual intolerances. Prices are, in my opinion, above average despite poor service.
