Tolles Essen, ganz toller Service, sehr schönes Ambiente, zentral gelegen und der beste Whisky Sour, den ich seit langem getrunken habe! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Wir sind auf Empfehlung von Freunden hier essen gegangen – und wurden definitiv nicht enttäuscht. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und hatte immer wieder einen kleinen Scherz auf den Lippen, was für eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre gesorgt hat. Auch die Küche hat überzeugt: Die Gerichte waren nicht nur wunderschön angerichtet, sondern auch geschmacklich hervorragend. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, nettes Ambiente und ordentliches Essen für einen fairen Preis. Schön das es sowas im Zentrum einer Stadt, zwischen all den Fastfoodketten und Schrott, noch gibt!

Wir waren zum Mittagessen da. Wir waren als Gruppe an drei Tischen verteilt. Wir haben relativ lange auf unser essen gewartet. Der 1. Tisch hat nach einer Stunde und der 3. Tisch nach 1,5 Stunden sein Essen bekommen. Das US flap Steak war nicht besonders. Statt Medium war es Medium rare. Also ziemlich blutig. Das Fleisch war so zäh, man konnte es kaum schneiden und kauen. Die sauer eingelegte kalte Beilage hat überhaupt nicht zum Fleisch gepasst. Das Personal war super. Sie waren immer da und haben alle Wünsche sofort erfüllt.

Ich war von meinem Zander enttäuscht .. er war ein wenig zu trocken und durch die Kruste hat man den Geschmack des Spargels nicht herausschmecken können und die Saftigkeit hat gefehlt. Die Rinderbäckchen waren super weich und saftig. Das Pesronal sehr aufmerksam.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant bei einem Urlaub entdeckt. Nachdem wir einmal dort zu Abend gegessen hatten, waren wir am nächsten Abend direkt nochmal da. Die Speisekarte bietet eine breite Auswahl von gutbürgerlich bis edel. Alles, was wir bei unseren beiden Besuchen in unserer vierköpfigen Runde bestellt haben, war hervorragend zubereitet und hatte mindestens einen kreativen Twist, der auch aus den bodenständigen Gerichten wieder eine neue Erfahrung gemacht hat. Trotzdem waren es auch Portionen zum Sattessen - das ist ja nicht selbstverständlich, wenn man sich etwas Besonderes gönnen möchte. Die Bedienung war immer aufmerksam, flott und humorvoll. Vielen Dank für zwei schöne, genussvolle Abende! - aber wir konnten noch nicht alles probieren, was uns auf der Speisekarte angelacht hat. Wenn wir das nächste Mal in die Region kommen, kehren wir hier sicher wieder ein!!

Haben im Restaurant Mönchshof großartig gegessen. Ein Mittagsmenü um € 18, bestehend aus Suppe, Buntbarschfilet mit Senfsauce und Karotten und Nachspeise- Bananensplit war qualitativ hochwertig und wohlschmeckend, dabei jeden Cent wert. Die Ober waren ausgesucht höflich und freundlich. Das Bier ist aus Oberfranken. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit in diesem Restaurant. Wir empfehlen den Besuch!

Eines der letzten wirklich guten Restaurants die es noch in Halle gibt. Reservieren ist hier nötig ,da so gut wie immer ausgebucht. Ein Lob an die Küche, bisher nie enttäuscht worden. Bedienung immer perfekt. Freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal.

Sehr gutes Restaurant! Die Speisen waren hervorragend – besonders das Kalbsgeschnetzelte war perfekt zubereitet, sehr zart und geschmackvoll. Auch das Dessert (Baileys-Cheesecake) war einfach top. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre angenehm. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Gerade für 100 Euro einen Gutschein gekauft Kinder mussten aufs WC. Bedienung macht riesen Aufstand, man muss fragen, wenn man das WC benutzen möchte. Gastfreundschaft geht anders.

Wir waren heute im Mönchshof essen und rundum zufrieden. Unser Tisch war bereits mit einem Hochstuhl ausgestattet und wir wurden vom Kellner sehr herzlich begrüßt. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön. Eine kleine, aber besonders nette Aufmerksamkeit war die Kinderkarte, die gleichzeitig ein Malbuch ist – inklusive Stifte direkt dazu. Das Essen war sehr lecker: Wir hatten Schnitzel und Pasta Ricotta. Auch die Kinderportion Nudeln mit Bolognese war geschmacklich top und zudem sehr reichlich.

Ganz tolles Ambiente, Zahlreiches Personal, das alle Wünsche schnell erfüllt, Wirklich sehr geschmackvollen Essen, das auch apart auf dem Teller angerichtet wird, Große Auswahl, Tagesgericht für 15,-€ ist der Hammer!

Auf der Suche nach etwas zu Essen. Benachbarte Restaurants waren leider überfüllt, so das wir weiterzogen und das Mönchshof entdeckten. Das Bier war uns schon bekannt - also muss das Essen auch so gut sein. Schlussendlich war es dann auch so. Service und Essen waren Spitze, das Bier sowieso. Ist gemerkt für das nächste mal - wir werden dann überfüllte Hype-Restaurants meiden und gleich in die Kulinarische Wohlfühloase gehen.

Wir sind hier zum ersten Mal Essen gewesen. Es war super lecker. Die Gerichte sind einzigartig zusammengestellt und dennoch hat es den klassischen Charakter der gutbürgerlichen, deutschen Küche nicht verloren.

Die Tische standen sehr eng beieinander und das Restaurant war sehr laut. Aber die Pizzen waren ausgezeichnet und sehr originell. Der Service war perfekt.

Wir waren am Samstag anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstages im Mönchshof Abends essen. Unsere Erwartungen wurden im vollem Umfang erfüllt und wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Der Service, so wie die Gerichte waren hervorragend. Bei vollem Haus und im a la Carte Geschäft das so hinzubekommen, Chapeau. Großes Lob an das gesamte Team und danke für den schönen Abend, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wow. Einfach nur wow. Ich komme seit vielen Jahren in den Mönchshof. Privat wie geschäftlich ist er für mich eine der ersten Adressen in Halle. Ausbildung, Ambiente, Karte und Service passen hier einfach. Eine sehr gute deutsche Küche mit italienischen und französischen Einschlägen. Die Karte wird regelmäßig aktualisiert, ist nie überladen und immer auf den Punkt. Heute habe ich, obwohl ich eigentlich schon gegessen hatte, noch den kleinen Hirschgulasch bestellt. Und was soll ich sagen: Das war nicht einfach gut. Das war kein Traum. Das war ein Fest. Ich habe selten, vielleicht noch nie, so gute Knödel gegessen. Das Fleisch perfekt gegart, alles harmonisch, stimmig, bis hin zu den Bitterstoffen im Salat. Ein rundes, durchdachtes Gericht ohne jede Schwäche. Auch nach vielen Jahren immer wieder großes Lob. Heute ganz besonders: maximale Sterne, voller Respekt.

Rustikales Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche

Not a place to feel comfortable – despite the good food The service was consistently unfriendly and uninviting. Every inquiry – even something as simple as asking about vegetarian options – was answered curtly and irritably. When we asked for a recommendation, we were simply told to read the menu. The attitude towards families with children was particularly unpleasant. While there were high chairs, the atmosphere quickly made it clear: children behaving like children were not welcome. The feeling of being constantly watched and scrutinized made the visit anything but relaxing. The impression: anyone who doesn't fit in is not welcome here. The food was indeed very tasty – but a restaurant isn't just about the cuisine, but also about the atmosphere and a friendly atmosphere. We missed both here. So, despite the good food, a bad taste in the mouth remains.

Expensive, overwhelmed, and extremely family-unfriendly We were here for dinner with 11 people (3 toddlers, 1 baby) – so the bill was correspondingly high. What followed was a thoroughly unpleasant experience that completely overshadowed the fantastic food. From the very beginning, we were treated condescendingly. A beer accidentally tipped over (not caused by the children!) – instead of help, we received a lecture because the tablecloth now needed to be changed. When we asked for a vegetarian option, we were simply told, "Just read the menu, we're full." The low point came at the end: Our one-year-old left some food scraps on the floor – something that's almost unavoidable despite all our efforts (especially since the high chair didn't have a cushion). Instead of reacting professionally, two employees immediately informed us that the carpet supposedly needed to be replaced. We were also lectured on how children should behave in a restaurant. In short: This restaurant is neither child-friendly nor customer-friendly. For such high prices, one expects service, not condescension and arrogance. Anyone wanting to dine with family – or who generally values ​​respectful treatment – ​​should steer clear of this place.

We enjoyed a wonderful roast goose leg, perfectly cooked and so delicious 💫 It was served with classic dumplings and red cabbage, both homemade. Goose – and on St. Martin's Day, no less! Even though the restaurant was busy, they managed to find a table for us. We are so grateful for that! The friendliness was genuine – they deserve ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for that alone! I went in for a beer and was greeted warmly. The beer arrived quickly and paying was no problem either. Only the restrooms... the soap dispenser wasn't working, nor were the hand sanitizer and paper towel dispensers, but hey, the tap worked. Therefore, only 3 out of 5 stars.

Great food. They really know how to cook and present it. And the service was very attentive and appreciative. We felt very welcome, which is sadly not always the case these days, making the evening all the more enjoyable. Special requests were also promptly accommodated. Keep up the good work, we'll be back!

The food and drinks did not live up to the otherwise very cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. The prices are generally very high and unjustified.

We were satisfied. Even with a dog, it was no problem. We can recommend a visit. Unfortunately, the service declined towards the end. A second drink was ordered but never delivered. After 3 p.m., there was hardly any staff to be seen. This delayed payment.

We went to Mönchshof for dinner as a large family. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Freshly tapped beer, good wine, and the food was very tasty, beautifully presented, well-portioned, and all around fantastic. Even with our toddler, we felt very comfortable there; they treated us like guests. Highly recommended!

We had a delightful meal here this evening. The interior is really well presented and has a quiet ambience to it. Raphael, our waiter, was very friendly and helpful with the menu and service. The food was excellent. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options which is so great to see in a traditional German restaurant. Each dish we had was beautifully presented and the flavours were excellent. We were so happy that we found this restaurant, coming all the way from Australia.

We met there for our 40th wedding anniversary. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. From the service to the food, everything was perfect. Thank you so much. The beef cheeks were a hit, so tender. We weren't expecting such a gem in Halle! (spoiled Berliners) We wish the team all the best and continued satisfaction.

We went there last night without a reservation and, after consulting with them, were allowed to sit outside. A lovely atmosphere for Halle lovers. The food and service were excellent, thank you very much for that. The food isn't cheap, but it's definitely worth the price.

When visiting Halle, a meal at Mönchshof is a must. The food was, as always, very, very good, and the service was excellent. We always enjoy coming back and can only recommend it to anyone who is ever in Halle.

We were on vacation and looked online for a place to eat schnitzel. The waiter brought the menu, and we realized that schnitzel wasn't on the menu. So we asked, and the waiter told us that schnitzel is only available two months a year. He could have made one, but only with vegetables; they didn't have fries. We left.

It used to be really good. Nowadays it's way too expensive and the portions are too small. No parking.

We reserved a table in advance. Unfortunately, we were only able to book for two hours. Very friendly service. Drinks were well chilled. The appetizer was good. After that, we had to wait over an hour for our main course. The food was lukewarm, and my fish platter was missing the sauce, resulting in dry potatoes. There wasn't enough time for dessert because the two hours were up. Personally, I won't be booking at this restaurant again.

First of all, 5*+ The reception was very friendly, pleasant, and absolutely professional. The service and the food were excellent. This is the best we've had in Halle an der Saale so far! The carpaccio, the strawberry and asparagus salad, as well as the Wiener schnitzel with asparagus, homemade hollandaise sauce with potatoes, and the zander with tagliatelle and asparagus, a dream. There's absolutely nothing to complain about here, because it was simply amazing. Keep it up, we'll definitely be back. Please make a reservation in advance so nothing stands in the way of your enjoyment.
