This restaurant may seem unassuming from the outside, but once you enter the dining area, you'll be pleasantly surprised: a cozy, lovingly furnished restaurant, decorated according to the season. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is a culinary delight in every respect. This restaurant is 100% recommended.

The food tastes great, the price is totally reasonable, the service is super friendly and the atmosphere is soooo cozy, I can only recommend it ^^

I wanted to make a Christmas reservation at the Alchimistenklause today (October 1st), as the information stated that it should be possible to make it by phone starting that date. Wednesday's opening hours officially start at 12 p.m. However, when I called around 1 p.m., I was told that all Christmas reservations had already been booked since 10 a.m. I find this very unfair, as guests assume that reservations are only accepted after the stated opening hours. When I pointed out that this wasn't transparent or customer-friendly, I was unfortunately met with ridicule, and I felt like I wasn't being taken seriously at all. I think it's a shame, because it creates the impression that regulars or insiders are given preferential treatment in advance. Outsiders who stick to the official hours ultimately have no chance. This is disappointing and unfortunately leaves a very negative impression.

Indescribably delicious!!! A culinary delight! You have to treat yourself! I'll be eating there more often now!!! Even the drinks are amazing!!

A visit to the Alchemistenklause is always a must for us when we're in Halle. The atmosphere is very cozy, if a bit dark at times. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is beautifully presented and tastes incredibly delicious. The price-performance ratio is reasonable, as you get a lot for your money. Whether it's rump steak, chicken, fish, or vegetarian, we've never been disappointed. If you come to Halle, you should definitely visit the Alchemistenklause. It's worth it in more ways than one!

Since I would not have expected such a perfectly functioning restaurant in Halle, I have to admit after several visits: The Alchemistenklause is the best restaurant in Halle in all assessable areas. Not only because it is actually still a restaurant, but also because you are guided through the evening by expert (the most important) staff who are extremely friendly and yet human. The food was top class, no matter which of the last 36 courses during the last visits, everything was perfect. I would particularly like to highlight the way the various seasonal vegetables are prepared. On each recent visit I was surprised by something different on my plate. The selection of drinks can be described as unique in Halle. You are an asset to this city. I hope you'll be around for a long time and look forward to further visits to the "House of the Old Masters". Important: price/performance more than reasonable.

We invited guests, and for the second time, our table reservation for four people was not honored. This is especially frustrating when you're planning an evening with friends and then realize no table has been reserved. Very disappointing and, unfortunately, no longer acceptable for us.

We've loved going there ever since the Klause opened! For dinner, to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries! For us, it's the best restaurant in Halle; the two owners are masters of their craft! We always appreciate the excellent, very friendly service. Above all, the food is unusual; the restaurant constantly creates new dishes, inspired by the seasons and with a regional connection to the city! The dishes are a feast for the eyes, surpassed by the taste!!! Of course, the quality is also reflected in the price, which is also reasonable, in our opinion! Special requests are always warmly received and implemented! Perhaps they can come up with something new with the interior design; not much has changed since the GDR era! During our stay in Halle, we discovered the Alchemistenklause (Alchemist's Inn). The ambiance reflects its name, with many small details waiting to be discovered during your visit. The staff was always pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The food was a culinary highlight, with great attention to detail in its presentation.

We really enjoyed the ambiance. We made a reservation a day in advance, which I would recommend, and were greeted with a very warm welcome. The food was delicious, the beer was tasty, and so was the house herb that cleaned up the place! We'll be happy to dine there again if we're back in Halle!

Incredible restaurant in Halle (Saale). We obviously went because of the rave reviews and it did not disappoint. This restaurant deserves to at least be in the Michelin Guide, much more be considered for a star! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We had the Carpaccio and the Goat Cheese for starters and enjoyed the veal cheeks, alchemistenschnitzel (their house special), and the Dorade fish. Pair it with either a gewurtstremeiner wine or the raspberry lemonade. This is one of the best restaurants in Halle!

The food here is very good, and the portions are very generous. The higher prices (compared to other restaurants in the city) are absolutely reasonable and reflect the quality of the food and service.

Edle Lebensmittel werden in eine wunderbare Speise verwandelt. Wir waren während der Händelfestspiele hier. Wunderbar eingedeckter Tisch mit Violinschlüssel, Händelserviette, Blumenschmuck, ... Einfach ein sehr gelungener Einstieg. Sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtetes Lokal, das seinem Namen alle Ehre macht. Zwei emsige Kellner die einen liebevoll umsorgten. Sehr leckere Weine. Essen auch sehr gelungen, wobei wir den Fehler machten, aufgrund einer fehlenden Menuemp fehlung, gleich 4 Speisen zu bestellen. Und spätestens nach der 3. waren wir voll und konnten nicht mehr. Also, dann lieber doch nur höchstens 3 Speisen ordern. Aber insgesamt: Für uns eine neue Entdeckung im kulinarisch leider nicht so reich gesegneten Halle - und wir kommen nächstes Jahr während der Händelfestspiele sicherlich, und sogar dann mit Freunden und mit Freuden, wieder. Dem gesamten Team herzlichen Dank für den wundervollen Abend - und wenn man etwas über den Durst trinken will, die Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist gleich um die Ecke.

Thanks to the friendliness of the staff, we were able to go spontaneously. A very unusual pork schnitzel filled with parsley and salami—they call it the "Alchemist's Schnitzel" there. The juices were exceptional, very refreshing! All in all, a very nice dinner with very friendly staff—thank you!

We'd been here a while ago and had very fond memories of the restaurant. We weren't disappointed this time either. The menu is small but exquisite. The dishes are lovingly presented, each a work of art, and they taste delicious. The drinks menu also has a good selection. The slightly higher prices are fully justified. We'll definitely be back.

I reserved a table for three people early Saturday evening. I liked: - I liked the option of ordering many dishes in small portions. - I liked the quality, composition, and presentation of the dishes. - I liked the ambiance. I didn't like: - I liked the very high prices of the dishes. - I liked the subpar service (unneeded water glasses weren't cleared away). - I liked the mixed drink service (some people were asked for an extra drink, others weren't). In general, the restaurant is worth a visit.

An absolutely extraordinary experience in the Alchemist's Monastery! The food was simply fantastic – every course was perfectly seasoned, creatively prepared and of the highest quality. Here you really notice the passion and skill of the kitchen. The prices are on the high side, but absolutely worth every cent. You don't get a simple meal here, but a top-class culinary experience. The ambience is also perfect: stylish, cozy and designed with great attention to detail. The service was equally outstanding – professional, warm and always attentive without being intrusive. A place to definitely remember for special occasions. We'll definitely be back!

I have now called the Alchemist Klause twice and asked that their delivery services also have to drive the prescribed maximum speed of 7-10 km/h WALKING SPEED in a traffic-calmed area. It is absolutely irresponsible how people are thundering through the streets and over sidewalks at full throttle at 40-50 km/h. Please train your staff to adhere to the StVO. I will file a report if my 2-year-old daughter is put in danger by her driving style.

Completely overpriced store Interior seems a bit old. When paying, the price was read out loud by the waiter. - super embarrassing!! But food was delicious

In my written reservation I stated the reason for it was a romantic dinner and I also mentioned again when I called that I would like a comfortable table. We then sat directly at (almost in) the entrance door - ideal for anyone who wants to be up to date on what's happening in the restaurant and enjoy a breezy draft every now and then, but not so much for a romantic wedding anniversary dinner. The first thing we noticed was the volume in the room, which really didn't allow for a conversation - luckily it became quieter later in the evening. The table was decorated with paper napkins and a paper tablecloth, cutlery was lying casually somewhere next to the napkin - the glass with tulips saved the simple table decoration. The food was really very tasty - there is a deduction for the oil-soaked, soggy potato wedges and sticky, lukewarm cheese pieces in the wine batter - you can certainly do better! Otherwise, the dishes were beautifully decorated - and garnished in a very original way with side dishes and herbs. The ice cream was also very good. I would also like to mention the service - very friendly, courteous employees! By the way, food was served very quickly - which is of course also a plus point. Yes, all in all it's a shame - we had at least imagined being pampered in the house of the old masters a little better!

Located on the main street, you enter a small, cozy world that doesn't fit in with the surroundings and is very inviting. I can only report positive things! The short-term reservation worked. The staff was super friendly and very professional. The food was really good and the menu was very clear. I had an asparagus wild garlic soup and a fillet plate. Good bourgeois cuisine that is absolutely excellent in the price range. The water comes from the area and the beer is brewed especially for the restaurant. That was worth a hefty tip for me. However, during peak times you should probably make a reservation or at least call in advance.

Culinary masterpiece, great service

Back then I learned in the Alchemist's Klause and absorbed a lot of this restaurant and its history. For me personally, my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is actually always a 12 out of 10, the service is top and the ambience is somehow unique. Absolute recommendation from me.

We were very kindly offered a table for Saturday evening. When we arrived at the really great rooms, we met the staff. If the good Lord meant well, then with this group. Wir kamen an einem Dienstagabend ohne Reservierung in die Alchimistenklause. Das ist ein Fehler. Offenbar ist die Alchimstenklause in Halle wohl bekannt und gut frequentiert! Also reservieren! Wir hatten aber Glück und ein Tisch wurde gerade frei, den wir umgehend zugewiesen bekommen haben. Hier und in diesem Moment möchte ich das Personal erwähnen. Sehr aufmerksam, sehr nett und zuvorkommend! Die Karte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas und sowohl die Karte als auch die Einrichtung sind saisonal geschmückt. Das ist sehr erfreulich und wirklich nett anzusehen. Wir haben uns für ziegenkäsetaler mit Salat und zweierlei Schnitzel, gefüllt mit Camembert an Fenchelgemüse und gefüllt mit Salami und den besten "loaded Pommes" die ich seit Ewigkeiten hatte, entschieden (auch wenn die Empfehlnung des Hauses sehr ansprechend war). Alles ist sehr schön angerichtet und schmeckt noch besser. Die Getränkeauswahl ist gut und die hausgemachten Limonaden auf jeden Fall einen Versuch wert. Mein persönliches Fazit: Wenn ich wieder nach Halle komme, komme ich wieder hier her!

We came from Dortmund in the Ruhr area and had made a reservation there weeks ago. All I can say is: Great food, great service (warm, funny and charming staff). The soup was to die for! The meat was cooked perfectly and the side dishes were perfect! It was a really nice evening! If we come to Halle again at some point we will go there again. So absolutely recommended.

Waren erstmals dort auf Empfehlung von Freunden. Als Anreise empfehle ich die Strassenbahn, vom Zentrum aus bequem, für Autos ist Halle nicht unbedingt freundlich gesonnen ... Die Einrichtung ist durchaus einladend, die Gestaltung entspricht dem Namen. Die Tische sind ausreichend auf Abstand, so dass man gut sitzt, ohne von den Familiendramen des Nachbarn genervt zu werden. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, so dass man sich rasch adäquat bedient fühlt. Mit der Auswahl der Gerichte waren wir sehr zufrieden, meine Frau und ich entschieden sich für das "Wildgulasch". Da das Wildgulasch meiner Frau für mich das "Maß der Dinge" ist ( an dem eine Mehrzahl von Profiköchen bereits krachend gescheitert ist! ), lag die Messstange hoch - ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Hier zeigte sich, dass jemand ein einfaches Gericht wirklich handwerklich bestens zubereiten konnte! Auch die Auswahl unserer Freunde wurde bestens goutiert! Kurzum: wir haben hier einen entspannten und schönen Abend verlebt, werden gerne nochmals kommen!

It felt like we were the only guests even though the restaurant was busy. The food was an absolute highlight! Every bite was a delight, the dishes were freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant's interior is cozy and inviting. The loving decoration and pleasant lighting create a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for an evening with friends or a romantic dinner. Overall it was an all around great experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Without any deductions one of the best restaurants in Halle. German cuisine with new interpretations is a feast for the eyes and the palate. I found the preparation time of 60 minutes at lunchtime to be quite long, but it was worth the wait.

We used to be regular guests when we still lived in Halle. Yesterday at a birthday party with a special motto, which was implemented excellently. We were about 30 people and the service was great, quick and everyone ate at the same time. Simply great. Very good food, great decoration and - as mentioned several times - first-class service. Food and ingredients were very good. Drinks came very quickly and all the staff were extremely friendly. Thank you, keep it up and a visit is highly recommended!

We have rarely eaten so well. The ambience, staff and food were simply perfect. There is even a feel-good atmosphere in the toilet. The food is beautifully prepared and every bite is a taste experience. The waiting time was short, the staff were always attentive, incredibly friendly, but never intrusive. The acoustics in the restaurant are very pleasant, everything is beautifully decorated and the quiet music in the background makes the atmosphere perfect. The prices are absolutely appropriate for the experience and we would be happy to come back.

Food is fresh and seasonal. Service is friendly and helpful. We sat close to the front door so there was a lot of foot traffic and the front door was often open so it was quite cold where we were sitting.

We still got a table very spontaneously for an event (salt festival) that was taking place in the city. What I didn't find on the homepage was food for children, but they do have menus for children. :) Food was excellent and even my picky daughter (3) ate it all.

In short: sensational! Visiting here with 3 friends was a real experience. Great starters, excellent main courses and a desert menu that is short but simply perfect. The only thing I complained about was that I wanted my fillet to be medium+, but it was more like medium-. Big difference, but the piece of meat was still fantastically good. Furthermore, the price/performance ratio of the Bruscetta was very great. Over €13 for 2 pieces of bruscetta is tough. After all, all the dishes are beautifully decorated and the presentation is consistent with that of a very upscale restaurant. Anyone who wants a fair and generally affordable, above all high-quality and upscale restaurant experience will definitely have a good time here. Thanks for the experience!
