Conveniently located on the promenade, the restaurant is well-attended. Very friendly staff with the calmness needed in stressful situations. A very good daily special (cake and coffee) is highly recommended.

We spent three wonderful evenings in a row here – delicious food (various variations of fish!), a lovely atmosphere, and very warm and attentive service! Thank you for the wonderful time, we'd love to come back.

It was very nice and served quickly. I found my steak to be rather mediocre, but the accompanying fish and asparagus were supposedly excellent. Far too expensive for my taste! The price/performance ratio isn't right.

I was craving a waffle and got the best waffle meal I could have imagined: with cherries, ice cream, and whipped cream. It tasted absolutely fantastic!

The Marina restaurant is located directly on the promenade at the harbor in Travemünde. The food is good and there is a dish available as an inexpensive lunch option. The Marina is highly recommended because of the view.

We ordered the fish platter for two people from home. But let's start from the beginning with my final impression. When I called to ask if it was possible to order food to be picked up, I was told that I should be there quickly. Since my walk was very short (<5min), I still had to wait a bit in the restaurant. In total it took about 15 minutes from the call to the finished meal (even though the restaurant was full!). In addition to the good view, I was also able to marvel at the many small details of the facility. I started talking to the owner. Everyone there was super friendly and nice, even though it was a visibly stressful evening over the May 1st weekend. They even treated me to a delicious beer on the house to help pass my waiting time. About the food: What did you think of it? Meeeega! Was the answer when I asked for this review. We are extremely impressed with the taste and the size. The chef succeeded in every single piece of fish. When it came to sauces, we liked the lobster sauce better than the Dijon mustard sauce, although again both were very tasty. So I would give a total of 5⭐️ for service & friendliness, speed, ambience & location, food and above all value for money.

The meal (plaice with fried potatoes and bacon) was tasty, although the plaice could have been seasoned a little more. The waitresses were very nice, but a bit overwhelmed. The view would be very beautiful if the people passing by didn't obscure it.

Die Lage direkt am Wasser verleiht dem Besuch zusätzlich eine entspannte, maritime Atmosphäre. Wer qualitativ hochwertigen Fisch in schönem Ambiente genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ich komme definitiv wieder! Perfekter Mix zwischen Preis und Portionen. Wer das besondere sucht ist hier richtig. Grandioser und beeindruckender Blick auf ein-und auslaufende Schiffe bei herzlicher Gastfreundschaft. Wir werden dieses Lokal öfter besuchen und empfehlen es uneingeschränkt weiter.

Very nice and great restaurant right on the Trave. A highlight of the delicious food is always when the big ferries drive right past you. The food is very tasty and we always eat here when we are in Travemünde. The service is always very friendly. The quality always remains the same. TOP!!!

It tasted pretty good, the service was friendly and the food came quickly, although both portions (Italian pasta and Viennese schnitzel) weren't particularly large.

The price-performance ratio is not right at all, a lot of money was paid and there was hardly anything on the plate. You won't get tired of it. Two small pieces of fish and a few fried potatoes with sauce, brought to the plate very carelessly. Visually, the dish could have been served more beautifully with some salad decoration on the edge of the plate. If you just want to drink something, you can enjoy the drink with a beautiful view.

Not at all inviting, and you're treated condescendingly. The customer should be king! Opening hours should be open daily in March, according to the website, but that's not the case at all. The service staff seem disorganized and overwhelmed when you walk in, and they work excessive amounts of overtime. The working conditions aren't good, and the employees feel sorry for you because you're given short-notice shift schedules and have to work more than 10 hours a day. How can work be fun then? Communication should be the be-all and end-all. Not recommended.

We were there spontaneously. Food and service great. The view of the Trave and the ships passing by is beautiful.

We will never be seen here again. Service staff is absolutely arrogant, unfriendly and also seems very annoyed. We took the coffee and cake offer for €6.50. We ordered 1x mandarin cream piece with coffee and 1x strawberry sour cream cake with cappuccino. Since it said there was only 1 piece of mandarin cream left. Tangerine sour cream was then brought for the two of us. As a waitress you might have had to ask which piece of cake you would like. ?! We also asked whether it mattered which hot drink we took with the offer. This was not answered (was skillfully ignored). We therefore assumed that our order was equivalent to the offer. The surprise came when paying... Instead of €13 it was €15.80 It's not about the money, it's just about the way you make money. As a guest it has a bitter aftertaste.

It's nice to sit outside and look at the water

Never again, only mass production, the kitchen is terrible, even the plum cake was soggy, half raw and the cheapest quality cream from a spray can instead but the entire plate was full of powdered sugar. At the next table the same cake was hard and dry! That's what it's like when you can't even operate the heating oven correctly. And despite the moderate number of guests, the service seems haphazard and overwhelmed, but friendly. However, only the sheltered location on the Trave is beautiful.

Yesterday (March 1st) we had dinner in the Marina Restaurant and I have to say I haven't seen a waiter like that in a long time, he put his heart and soul into his work, you can't act like that, his heart was in it, the friendliness was contagious, thank you for the kindness.

Feel free to buy oat milk and lactose-free milk. It can't be too difficult to offer this in today's times. Otherwise a nice shop 👍

We visited this restaurant on vacation in Travemünde. It's right on the Trave and you can see the ships and boats sailing by. The menu offers something for every taste. There is also a children's menu. The food was very tasty and the portions are good. All in all, I can really recommend this restaurant.

The two of us went here for dinner and were unfortunately disappointed. We once ordered salmon and cod as well as mussels in white wine sauce - but the taste of the latter had nothing to do with white wine. The fish was carelessly placed on the plate, without any garnish or attractive presentation. The entrance area was more reminiscent of a second-hand shop with racks full of clothes, which didn't exactly contribute to a cozy atmosphere. The waiter was unfriendly and not very accommodating, but rather flippant in his dealings. The drink prices are above average and bear no relation to the quality of the food or service. Although the view of the ships arriving in the evening is nice, that alone cannot make up for the poor service and disappointing food. For us as locals, one of the worst restaurants in Travemünde and the entire Bay of Lübeck - definitely not a recommendation.

I was there in August when it was busy. All seats were occupied. So I had to wait for a table. But it was relatively quick and you could enjoy the view while you were there. I only ordered Kaiserschmarrn and a drink, it tasted good. The prices are okay for the location, a bit expensive, but that's all at the moment. What didn't work at all was that the waiter simply tipped himself - I paid with cash and gave him 20 euros for a 17 something bill. When I apologized for paying with coins and change, he quickly counted the money and said “Yes, that’s fine” and simply left. To this day I don't know whether that was a misunderstanding. I would have given him the leftover money as a tip anyway, but this interaction was very bizarre.

Very poor service, despite asking about service in the covered outdoor area, we had to wait 15 minutes to order. After the drinks were empty, no contact for a reorder or payment for 10 minutes. Only pay after seeing a service person. Good location in the harbor area of ​​Travemünde. Not recommended due to poor service.

Cool staff/service. Ordered small Coke, got medium and charged. Ordered kale with roasted potatoes for 18.90, asked if fried potatoes were possible instead of roasted potatoes, they said no problem. On the bill you will then be charged 1.50 for reordering and on top of that an extra 3.50 for the fried potatoes. So in the end 23.90 instead of 18.90! The bad thing about it is not communicating beforehand. 2 stars because the food was tasty. But I'm not dragging my money back there again🤷‍♂️

I would give it more like 3.5 stars if possible. There were some staff who couldn't answer many questions about gluten, for example, and requests such as getting the fried potatoes without bacon could unfortunately not be fulfilled. So the kitchen lacks a bit of flexibility. Most of the food was quite tasty. The side salad is a bit old-fashioned with the quarter tomato, the canned carrot strips etc.. you can do it once, but it wouldn't entice us a second time.

After the waiter brought us to our place, we were ignored for 3/4 hours. Even when I asked about the menu, there was no response. The restaurant was not fully booked. Then left without any order.

It took us over an hour from taking a seat to finally paying for a beer per person, there were three of us. The service was poor, people hardly paid any attention to us, so we had to draw attention to ourselves several times. At the beginning we asked if we could sit on the outside terrace, but it still took 15 minutes for an order to be taken. Empty glasses were ignored. To pay, we went straight to the counter where we had to speak to an employee directly. I had previously approached another employee and asked to be able to pay. The shop wasn't busy for a long time, there were at least three people in service, and at least one of them was friendly. Simply not recommended.

The portion size was quite good and the food tasted okay too. But the food came much too quickly and you can tell that it wasn't freshly prepared, but warmed up. We also tipped over 10 percent and weren't even thanked for that.

We "only" had 4 aperitifs, Rosato Mio, Pampelle and 2 Hugos. Very tasty, completely OK in terms of price. Right on the promenade, it's nice to sit and look at the Haden. Nordic friendly service. Nothing to complain about. 😉

We don't understand the good reviews. We were last in the marina in 2021, the food was very tasty back then. Unfortunately, when we went back to the marina today, we were very disappointed. My wife had a baked potato with sour cream, the salad was good, the inside of the potato was partly raw or undercooked, the sour cream had no taste or was bland, so my wife ate a third if at all (out of hunger), two thirds of it Portions went back. I had a Viennese schnitzel with roasted potatoes and mushroom cream sauce, the schnitzel was also not convincing (bland, not well seasoned and fried in the pan for too long) and also not a highlight, the fried potatoes were also fried for too long (so too dry and more than al dente). I should also have left the sauce alone... it tasted like a packet of sauce... not good. We wonder what happened from 2021 to today, One explanation would be that the chef has changed... We don't like to give bad reviews, but we enjoy good food and hope that the operator thinks about what he could change? The female blonde waitress asked if the potato wasn't tasty... when we explained that the potato was partly raw and the sour cream tasted bland... The waitress said the sour cream was excellent… Conclusion: we won't go to the Marina again in the future, the food was just too bad.

We decided to eat here this evening. It was very nice in the winter garden, cozy and warm, the view of the Trave was very nice and you could also smoke. Unfortunately the service wasn't really friendly and too fast. The starter hadn't really been processed yet when the main course arrived. Since the restaurant wasn't really full, it was a bit strange... Food was the worst... Starter too salty and main course too dry. I would like to write something better, but unfortunately our experience doesn't allow that.

We had dinner there with 12 people. After a very long wait, the restaurant was not even half full, 9 people got their food and 4 people finally got their food after 20 minutes after three reminders. Almost cold, of course. You simply forgot 4 plates in the kitchen. This is the second negative experience.

A surprise! We visited this house spontaneously last week and were not disappointed. Houses in this location are often a tourist trap. Not like that here. A fabulous waitress brought us two excellent, perfectly cooked plaices Finkenwerder style with cracking fried potatoes. Add a little wine and the view and the evening was a success.

Never experienced such an unfriendly waiter. Had an aperitif, waited for over 20 minutes, we were charged €7.90 instead of €7.50 as shown on the menu.

The service doesn't get a smile on their faces. If boiled potatoes are brought instead of fried potatoes, it is the guest's fault. Food in and of itself is okay.

Seldom seen such a poorly coordinated restaurant, despite a lot of staff. We came at a good time and there weren't that many guests. We had a small child with us and wanted to have something for dinner. The drinks came very quickly, but we had to wait a long time for the food. Not even the children's plate (pasta with sauce) came to the table on time. While everyone who came after us was already getting their food, we had already been waiting for an hour. The food tasted good, but not a culinary highlight that would be worth waiting so long for. It seemed as if seniors were preferred over families with children.

The food was excellent - from the crisp, fresh salads to the perfectly fried fish to the spicy fried potatoes, everything was right. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which really made our visit pleasant. The view from the terrace is unique and adds to the wonderful atmosphere. It is a pleasure to dine in such beautiful surroundings while looking out at the harbor and ships passing by. A great place to enjoy a meal and unwind. We'll definitely be back!

The service was quick and nice even if some of the food came before the drinks. In between, the plastic walls were pulled down because of the rain, but there were people sitting there and they then sat right against the wall, you noticed that they wanted to move because you were sitting under the roof before but then with a plastic wall in front of your face. I think we could have waited. The food looked good but was rather average. We expected more from the cauliflower, completely unseasoned and, well, baked in the oven, we naively thought, but they were fried. Potatoes were nice with it but there was only baguette. The soup was very good. The prices are rather high. And on this day only cash payment as is unfortunately very often the case in Travemünde and it's annoying. We had to go to the bank because of that.

Many guests complained because everything took a long time (map, drinks, food, payment). There were 3 of us and we ordered. After we waited at the entrance for more than 10 minutes, I went to the boss and she just raised her hand in front of me and said: no time. Again and again people looked at us and ignored us. Our food came after over an hour. Nobody had a kind word or a smile. Everyone seemed very stressed. The blonde service person was beyond rude. Unfortunately that was the last time we ate there.

We liked the food, but we found the schnitzel with fries for almost 20 euros to be too expensive, so it wasn't that tasty, but everything else was good. At the weekend there are plenty of scampis, freshly fried, cost over 30 euros per person, but highly recommended.
