Fisch & Meer Restaurant in Lübeck

My wife and I were there on September 20th. for the first time here in the restaurant. Great old building, very nice decor. No question. Service was good, nice and somewhat attentive. There is some room for improvement. Finally, my wife had to walk to where the emperor also goes. The women's toilet was closed, for whatever reason, and was supposed to move to the disabled toilet, according to the note on the door, which she did. She found herself in a situation that could probably be described as terrible. Maybe there was cleaning once in the morning or before opening and then it was probably the end of the area. She could hardly put the situation into words. Of course, the staff can't check the toilet after every guest to see whether a piglet has been there to pee or poop, but checking in every now and then shouldn't do any harm. The food was also good, so I gave it three stars. Since we are from Lübeck, we would like to come back and hope to be able to give it 5 stars.

We had a super great and tasty salad for a good price. Fresh and well prepared. The service polite. When the weather was nice, we sat outside and enjoyed the view

I was visiting Lübeck Hafen with my stepdad and the restaurant was the first thing we noticed. We had schnitzel 'Viennese style', fried potatoes and a pizza with prawns and rocket, both dishes were really tasty and the portions were almost too big :) Great price, great offer. Staff also very friendly! Will definitely eat here again next year.

Super solid and good food, had a nice evening. We will be back, a little hint, I am fully aware that everyone can have a bad day. But this shouldn't be lived out in quarrels among each other in front of the guests. Let's see what it will be like next time. Recommended for families, as children can also find something here (pizza, pasta, etc.) if they are not interested in fish, but parents are 😉.

Overall it was delicious, and the fish platter was very affordable. It was said to be for two people, but it was enough for three people. The fish soup is so-so, and the plaice is also delicious. The toilet is on the second floor

It was a disaster, the food was criminal. The 0 8 15 fries that would have been available at MCs. The tarte flambée was very dry and I missed the cranberries in the schnitzel. Overall, I found the food not cheap and tasty.

We had the fish platter for 2 people. For just under €70 we were definitely full. It tasted very tasty, especially the scampis were very well fried. We were served by the very nice Pinar. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely eat there again ;) Only the defective urinal deducts a star. It used to be taped off, but it wasn't when we visited. It wasn't pretty to look at...

Unfortunately, the quality and quantity has (significantly) decreased. We have been going there regularly for several years. Specifically: the salad with turkey strips. More pieces than strips, the quantity is more like half of what it was before, there was also more and more bread, and the taste was still good. The cuisine continues to have its quality, but also with the other dishes such as fish: you should be full...

Matjes fillet and fish soup were our choice. Both were very tasty and good portions. A good choice for us.

Nice restaurant. Nice service. We had tarte flambée and a Viennese style schnitzel with fries. The tarte flambée was super delicious! The schnitzel didn't work at all. Greasy and the “breading” if you want to call it that, was nothing.

It was quite ok. Portions adequate, boring to not seasoned at all and mass processing. Significantly too few staff. Wartenberg the bill about 30 minutes.

You sit outside on chairs that are way too low and the backs stick. Tables were also not wiped down. Plaice was too dry.

On a weekday at 5:30 p.m. we enter the courtyard of the Alte Vogtei/Restaurant Fisch & Meer and are given a free choice of table and greeted in a friendly manner. The ambience is tasteful, the tables are spaced far enough apart, the chairs are comfortable and blankets are available if needed. Unfortunately the table is not really clean and there are still small residues of ? on the table top. But of course this can happen at outdoor tables. The menu offers a wide range. I decide on a vegetarian pizza for €13.90 and a non-alcoholic wheat beer for €5.60. Both are served after a reasonable waiting time. The pizza base is too soft for my taste. The topping is okay, not particularly creative, but for €13.90 in high season I didn't expect anything other than onions, mushrooms, zucchini and peppers. Fisch & Meer is not a pizzeria. All in all we liked it and on a muggy summer evening it was nice to sit here in the shade and in the fresh air.

Nice to look at and hear, with musical accompaniment

The food tastes great, no matter what you order. Whether it's meat, fish, pizza or pasta. In addition, you have nice staff and super child-friendly, which unfortunately you don't find everywhere these days.

We were here during Travemünde Week. There is an indoor and outdoor area. Shielded from the hustle and bustle, you can relax here and even watch the ships arriving and departing. Just had a drink here. Service friendly. The interior is also very interestingly designed. Gladly again.

The fish platter for two is generously filled and enough for two good eaters. Although it's not exactly cheap at €65, it tastes great!

Great ambience even at lunchtime, you can watch the ships on the Trave directly from the outdoor seating. There is a kind of beer garden in the back yard, and you can view or buy art on the first floor. Unfortunately, toilets are not on the ground floor, but via the stairs on the upper floor.

Tourist restaurant, nothing special, you don't have to go there again.

Local right on the harbor, with a great view and beautiful outdoor seating. Plaice fillets with fried potatoes...instead of potatoes. Highly recommended and changing was no problem.

We stopped here for lunch on Tuesday afternoon...since it was warm and sunny, we looked for a place outside under the parasols...You could still get a partial view of the car ferry... Our service fee was a young woman who, as you noticed, spoke several languages... The menu was quickly brought to the table after a quick hello and how are you...which drink would you like? We gave up drinks and briefly studied the menu...we both decided on fish 🐟... 1x plaice with boiled potatoes... 1x pollack fillet with fried potatoes... Both came quickly and the portions were large... The fish 🐟 tasted excellent, the side dishes too... My friend just said that although he had a really big plaice on his plate, it wasn't enough for a man to eat... Men! Pina, our service fee, asked several times whether we would like another drink and whether the food was OK... But everything is fine... Even though it was lunchtime... many of the seats outside were occupied, there was no sign of any hesitation, everything was quiet... The ladies and two colleagues really had their hands full, but there was a good atmosphere and cheerfulness... There was also time for a little chat with the guests... A fish platter for two people was brought to the next table...it also looked excellent and very appetizing...definitely our choice next time...a huge plate with tons of different kinds of fish... The visit was definitely worth it and we would be happy to come back... our waitress Pina is also passionate and passionate about her job... you can see that she enjoys her work... We initially waited about an hour for our starter, then another half hour for the main course. The staff didn't think it was necessary to ask in the kitchen... even after repeated requests from us. Our order was simply lost. This can't happen!!!

Ambience and service very good and friendly! I had the turkey with fries - price, performance too expensive! The turkey was fried too dry for me and the fries were a little too few!

Unfortunately the food was a disaster. Taigliatelle with fresh vegetables, garlic and parmesan was bland, garlic was non-existent and canned mushrooms. Even adding salt and pepper didn't make it any better, everything was floating in oil. The salami pizza was topped with 5 slices of salami and tasteless. Unfortunately we won't be coming back, even though the location was very nice.

The store was an absolute disaster. After repeated requests, food only comes after an hour when the child is hungry and already crying. Order was apparently lost. Of course the food came cold. On top of that, the incompetent waitress drops the tray from her hand as she walks past and pours beer all over you. No staff came, no "we're sorry for the inconvenience", nothing. Waitress came after a few minutes and put some napkins on the table. We then wiped the table dry ourselves. After another 20 minutes of sitting there with completely wet clothes and smelling of beer, I had to go to the staff myself to get my bill. I also casually say that I should send the cleaning invoice. Personal details weren't even recorded, nothing at all. Completely underqualified and overwhelmed staff. Several times other waiters tried to put food and drinks on our table that we hadn't ordered. Seemed like a completely haphazard bunch. Are here on vacation. Of course the evening was over. We would rather use the time to look for a cleaning service for the rest of our vacation. Thanks for nothing!

Very nice and attentive service. Had pizza and salad, it wasn't a problem to share the food as we weren't that hungry. Pizza Tonno was very good, the dough was just right, not too thin but not too thick either. The salad with tuna was also very good and the highlight was home-baked bread. We sat outside, but it's worth taking a look inside. I can only recommend the location with full marks

Great quick service, we ordered a couple of pizzas and beer for dinner prior to boarding the Ferry at Travelmunde for Helsinki. Parked motorbikes within watching distance of the restaurant on sea front car park.

Significantly decreased. Compared to the last visit last year 2023, the salad and one type of fish fillet were omitted from the fish and sea plate and then became even more expensive. We have always been there for the Germany games There was absolutely nothing to complain about Food, drink, ambience is simply great Particularly worth mentioning is the one German waiter who always has an eye on everything and always has a casual saying!!! Great portions and very tasty! The service is attentive and quick. The pricing is okay. We sat on the terrace and it is also accessible for wheelchair users. The toilets are upstairs. There is also a studio here with very creative glass art and some paintings. On the ground floor there is also a tea office with everything you need for tea. We'd love to come back! 🙃

The menu offers a large selection of delicious fish dishes, but meat lovers won't miss out either. We had plaice fillet with fried potatoes, turkey breast with fried potatoes and schnitzel with fries. All dishes were freshly prepared and very tasty. The portions were large and the price was reasonable. We can absolutely recommend the Fisch & Meer Restaurant and would be happy to come back! The ambience is magical. There are several ways to find a nice place, whether indoors or outdoors. Our meal of salmon fillet with grilled vegetables and fried potatoes was very tasty. My girlfriend enjoyed the Mediterranean tarte flambée. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Thank you for this delicious culinary delight. We'll definitely be back.

We sat in the backyard, which was very pleasant and comfortable despite the warm weather. There are seats in front of the restaurant and of course inside. The toilet can be reached on the 1st floor via a spacious old wooden staircase. Our waitress was very nice and on the ball. There is a large selection of dishes with decent portions. Recommended.

Ordered two meals for just under 20 euros each, the veal liver was lukewarm, but the mashed potatoes were cold (but it was actually supposed to be a warm meal), the turkey steak was extremely dry, I chose salad as a side dish, which was clearly arranged on the plate. After a complaint, the liver plate was replaced, now the food was warm, but the puree was more potato pieces than puree. As a small apology we received two espressos, also lukewarm. Ate there once, never again, it was the worst meal I've had in a very long time and completely untypical for the coast. We might have wanted to try it with fish, but after a week we felt like meat, which is what a chef should be able to do.

Hello, the portions of food you get there are not appropriate for the price. Turkey steak with a tablespoon of fried potatoes for 18.90 euros, you get more for your money in other restaurants. I'm sure there are others who see it differently, but that's my opinion too.

There are several dining rooms, and as a guest you feel disorientated at first. Despite the sign that you were being seated and the loud and clear greetings from us, no one was interested Us. We then looked for a place. The staff was friendly but somehow there wasn't a hospitable, welcoming atmosphere. We didn't feel comfortable. The food was okay, sour meat was a bit fatty. Zander, fried potatoes and potato salad were great.

A very rustic house with lots of klimbim and art. The service staff are friendly and equipped with the latest technology (radio in the ear). The food can be described as above average and the price-performance ratio is in the acceptable range for 75% of the dishes. Although there are also tables in the passageways, it is fun to see the waiters juggling the plates. Very well located directly at the harbor

Hello, I'm in Travemünde with the motorhome for a few days. Had a delicious cod fillet here yesterday with fried potatoes and mustard sauce. It's a shame that the side salad is no longer included given the price. But it was really tasty. Yesterday I sat outside in the sun. The service is very friendly. We reserved a table for 16 people relatively spontaneously (about 4 hours in advance). It was prepared for us in an absolutely courteous and friendly manner, the employees were great and very patient. The food was delicious and we had a very nice evening in a great atmosphere. Thank you! 🥰

We took the coffee/cake offer, it was delicious, as was the coffee. Beautiful old office building with an integrated restaurant, a gallery on the upper floor and an integrated beer garden. Coffee and tea are also available for purchase as well as accessories.

We had the fish platter for two people and dessert plus 3 drinks. The food was very tasty. The service was great. The place itself looked great. One star is deducted because my girlfriend had bones in it even though there shouldn't have been any in it.

We had a very pleasant dinner here, despite arriving quite late (8 p.m.). The service was friendly and quick and the food was simply delicious. The portions were also very generous, so you got really great food at a fair price. We ordered the vitello tomato, which was very good and plentiful, as well as the fish soup, which was very, very tasty! The main courses (grilled calamari and fish platter) were easily enough for 4 people and were fresh and well prepared. We'd love to come back.
