Absolutely fantastic food and top-notch service!

The food was delicious; we were happy with every dish. Whether it was pasta, risotto, or steak, everything tasted great! This time of year, the dishes were also enhanced with pumpkin in various ways.

Yugoslav-Italian chic with a good wine list, but at a price

Our 3-year-old son was very hungry and made a little noise while we waited for our meals. A staff member asked us to keep him quiet, and when I said we could leave if that was a problem, they told us to go. We left feeling embarrassed, unwelcome, and deeply disappointed.

After 5 years of Luna visits, here's a summary: We love this restaurant. For us, it's the place where we celebrate anniversaries, family visits, or graduations. During our time in Aachen, we've celebrated all our wonderful moments here and have never been disappointed. We want to say thank you and recommend this oasis of culinary art to everyone. We called spontaneously and were given a table very kindly. When we arrived, we received a very warm welcome and a perfect table was prepared for us (with our baby). The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. After a long time, we finally found a restaurant where we didn't feel like a number and where we were allowed to sit for a while. We'd happily return.

We had a very tasty meal and the service was excellent, with the staff taking the time to tell us what delicious dishes they have prepared for us in the kitchen.

Went here on a day trip to Aachen and they did not disappoint! Really friendly staff, a classic family owned restaurant with the best in mind. They won't hesitate to answer any questions you might have and are ready to help you out with recommendations. If you decide to come here, try the seabass! I'll definitely be coming back here.

The fish was cooked to perfection, accompanied by a really good side dish and an excellent wine. The place is very beautiful and well-kept, with a very clean bathroom equipped with disposable tablecloths personalized with the name 'Luna'. The staff is courteous and friendly, with whom it was pleasant to exchange a few words. A place I will definitely return to!

My wife and I came here for dinner. We were very pleased with the selection and freshness of the fish, as well as the excellent service. We felt very well looked after and would be happy to return. We have absolutely no complaints about the value for money—quite the opposite. We definitely recommend it!

The pasta was cold and not seasoned. The other dishes were average and show that the cuisine is still stuck in 1990. The way we serve doesn't correspond to today's times. Definitely not justified for the prices.

Good restaurant to go if you like seafood. The grilled fish and the shrimp/octopus pasta were amazing. Excellent service even though the place was kind of full (we went on a Friday night).

Ambiance and food are very good. The basic Balkan dishes and starters are highly recommended. Changing seasonal offers round this off. P.S. Open wine, I've never had a bad one.

We were given a voucher. Due to the limited selection on the menu, which wasn't exactly what we were interested in as it was very meat-heavy, we wouldn't have come here on our own. There was also a small day menu on site, which supplemented the offer, but was not an extension for us. But that is individual... a matter of taste... everyone can and must decide for themselves. The food was tasty but nothing exceptional and the prices were quite/too high for what was on offer. We especially found the drink prices to be too high. The food was served very friendly, but also quite quickly one after the other. A little more break would have been more pleasant. After a good hour we had already had an aperitif and three courses and coffee. Okay, maybe that was a good thing considering the drink prices... The rooms are very stylishly furnished, but do not offer any comfortable seclusion and it gets quite loud when full.

Unfortunately, the food is significantly too expensive for a quality just above snack bar level. Rösti were frozen food, pasta tasted very bland and tomatoes weren't ripe. Unfortunately not recommended

There were two of us there and everything was perfect, very nice service, very nice ambience, the food, we had the sea bream in the charcoal oven and chicken breast in the charcoal oven and at the end you creme au chocolat, everything was very, very tasty. We will definitely come back

From the moment you enter La Luna, you are greeted with a genuine smile and a warmth that makes you feel at home. The staff is incredibly attentive, always willing to recommend the best on the menu and making sure every detail of your experience is perfect. The food is, without a doubt, the highest point. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and spectacular seasoning. We tried [dessert name the chocolate mouse, and it was an explosion of perfectly balanced flavors. The presentation was impeccable, and every bite left us wanting more. In short, La Luna not only stands out for its excellent cuisine, but also for the friendly and close treatment of its team. A place to which, without a doubt, we will return again and again. Totally recommended!

It was a successful evening, the dishes on offer sounded so delicious that it wasn't easy to make a decision. We were very happy with our choice. We'd love to come back. We think a reservation is recommended on the usual days. Mon evening 8 p.m. was possible without a reservation.

We visited Luna for the first time on the occasion of our Christmas dinner with colleagues. Thanks to the pre-ordered appetizer platter, it became a culinary excursion into Croatian cuisine and the first hunger after the mulled wine was immediately satisfied. All colleagues were very impressed with the dishes they chose, the ambience and, above all, the very good and attentive service. We would love to come back - also privately :-)

I've been there twice now with my family. Unfortunately the rice was burnt the first time. The second time, both the noodles and the rice weren't completely cooked through, which was a shame.

Very good food in the Croatian family-owened restaurant. The appetiser, main course and desert were all exceptionally tasty, I would not wonder if with little effort the restaurant would end up in the Michelin guide book :). Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants sind wir äußerst freundlich begrüßt worden. Obwohl das Restaurant gerappelt voll war, nahm sich die Bedienung viel Zeit. Das Essen war vortrefflich. Der Fisch war meisterlich gebraten, das Risotto exzellent, wie auch der Vorspeisenteller für 2. Auch der Grauburgunder war sehr gut. Die Preise würde ich als für die Qualität und die Lage als günstig bezeichnen. So viel Gastlichkeit findet man bei Deutschen Restaurants leider selten.

Highly recommended restaurant. Reservation was required. Excellent service (we considered ordering bruschetta once or for each of us; because there were three slices. We were immediately offered to serve two slices twice.) Large, very tasty portions. Price-performance ratio is right. We will be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend the restaurant.

Ich war mit Freundinnen im Restaurant. Meine Portion Essen war winzig für viel Geld. Der Aufreger aber war als ich es dem Chef sagte kam als Reaktion NICHTS. Lediglich können sie mir ihren Teller reichen und das unbenutzte Besteck. Meine Freundin meinte da kommt noch was. Pustekuchen. Es wäre nett gewesen wenn es wenigstens eine Reaktion gegeben hätte. Nie wieder.

very nice restaurant with Croatian specialties and more classic dishes There was no room when we arrived (without reservation) so the boss suggested we wait 40 minutes. We went for a drink at the Motel One Jute next door while waiting. We came back around 8 p.m. and the place was available The service is impeccable and very friendly, we ate very well (deer stew with gnocchi and steak with pepper sauce) THANKS :)

October 2024 update: If you like eating mussels, you should get here quickly.😉 So delicious and completely different to the Rhenish style usually offered here in Aachen. A wonderfully fruity variant that I could also imagine by the sea at sunset in summer.😄 At least that was my impression yesterday.👍🏻 The rest is exactly the same as my review from two years ago.👏🏻 Here you feel like you're part of the family.👍🏻 Very tasty, fresh cuisine, attentive service. A really great place. The food was very tasty 😋. The service was really friendly and always had a relaxed saying 😃. I would like to mention that we have rarely seen such clean sanitary facilities. Aufgrund der vielen Bewertungen und der hohen Preise hatten wir hohe Erwartungen. Diese wurden leider nicht erfüllt, das Essen war in Ordnung, eher mittelmäßig bis gut, somit für die angebotene Qualität zu teuer, Lobenswert ist der überaus freundliche Service und die zentrale Lage.

Perfect steaks and very friendly service

We visited the restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday and I was very enthusiastic about the food and the ambience 🥰 The prices are justified for the quality and taste 😍 The dish I had was pasta and beef and I can definitely recommend it to everyone 😊 The meat and pasta were cooked perfectly and the sauce topped it off. The portion size was also very good, so I was full even though I was very hungry. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate and cream and even though it is such a simple dessert, it was still pretty darn delicious. We'll definitely be back because I really wanted to try the steak 😍

Gluten-free was also good, although the choice of two fish dishes turned out to be very limited if fish is not your first choice. Fish was filleted on the spot, pleasant and hospitable. We were shocked by the price of the wine. 9.50 for a glass of dry white wine is excessive. Table water next to the wine was a bottle of 7.50. Too bad, because the food was reasonably priced, around 25 euros for a main course, as well as coffee and tea.

We were surprised at the size of the restaurant. There are a lot of places, but the layout means the guests are spread out very well. There was enough service staff in the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and quick. The menu is extensive but not too big. The dishes are typical and not unnecessarily experimental. But the price is a bit high. Ultimately the rumors are very good, deliciously seasoned, good portion sizes, really good. What caught our attention was the composition of the guests. We were the youngest there at 50 years old.

You can sit well not only inside, but also outside. The service was great, everything went quickly and the food was also very tasty.

The plus side is the interior and the waiter's attention is great. On the contrary, the food preparation was very long considering we were alone (it took around 1 hour for main dishes). The soup was awesome, but the main dishes were average. The rice on the sea basse was very weird. The steak was allright.

The staff are very kind and food is delicious! We waited quite a while for our food, we assume this was due to a very large private party, however, it was worth the wait. I highly recommend.

I loved the restaurant, the food was very delicious . We had beefsteak and lamb . The meat was suculent and so flavoured! The fries were so tasty and done in good oil as I felt well afterwards. The service took some time but very professional and helpful. The atmosphere beautiful.

Excellent experience at Luna Restaurant! Our evening on April 19th, 2024 at the Luna Restaurant in Aachen was simply fantastic! With a group of six, we enjoyed excellent service, delicious food and a great wine recommendation. We will definitely come back!
