The food was definitely worth 5 stars in 2019-2023. The chef knew his craft, but the new unsympathetic owners not only raised the prices significantly, reduced the portions, but also left the taste behind. The side salad for €4, a joke. The waiters used to try hard but now? Don't go back again

Wish I'd seen the review that said you could insist to pay by card. We weren't so lucky! After an initial confusion over our drinks when they said we'd ordered an aperol & chardonnay, not a chardonnay & the large beer we talked about the size of, we came to pay and despite seeing a visa symbol on the door they insisted it was cash only.

Loved the Mediterranean vibe of this place. My mother was very happy with the food here and she's a picky eater. The starters were delicious. We got the salmon fillet for main course and loved it. Perfect place to eat while exploring Aachen.

Given the average score, which has risen noticeably recently, I am probably not the only customer where they have done this. I have now adjusted the number of stars from the original above average 3* to 1 star. . Friendly staff and friendly prices. Quality and taste are okay. The restaurant itself is simply decorated and somewhat dated. Unfortunately, there is little choice on the menu (this also applies to the drinks). However, anyone who simply likes döner and wants to be able to eat a lot of meat in a tasty and easy way will certainly leave here satisfied. In that sense, Aix Mediterrane in a beautiful location in the city center of Aachen can really be recommended.

Nice location but otherwise not recommended. I had two lamb kebabs that were unfortunately too well done and sometimes tough. The menu said “with flatbread, tomato sauce and yoghurt”. What came shocked me - it was bread cubes slapped over which tomato sauce and yoghurt sauce had been slapped, which ended in an inedible mishmash of soggy, soaked pieces of bread slush. On top are the pieces of meat, maybe 7 pieces. And this monstrosity cost €20.50! Abnormal! Not even snack bar level.

I find it difficult to write a review. Maybe it was just an exception? So I don't really want to rate the restaurant negatively. However, the service was really not satisfactory. All three servers seemed inexperienced, flawed and clumsy. The communication left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, there was no “I’m sorry.” But just: "I didn't write that down." The accompanying salad also went to the other tables, even though we already had our food and had asked for it several times. Unfortunately, that's how it went all the time. Drinks were forgotten - everyone just grinned and only came after a long wait... However, the food was very tasty and I think the prices were completely ok. Here you have to weigh up how important good service is to you. Ambience is completely ok, a bit smaller but fits. It's also cozy, but you should open it through the window at the top, as the smoke from the grill rises and unfortunately stays there.

Addendum: Since the owner apparently has a problem with honesty and reported my review as a "fake" review on Google despite my own pictures, I just have to repost it. . . First of all, the food was really delicious. The service ok. Maybe the atmosphere is generally nice, but yesterday it wasn't. Despite having two floors, the restaurant is very small and cramped, which is usually not a problem. But if you let more people in than there is space, you can't even get up from your chair because it's so narrow, you have to put chairs on tables to make room or you can't even have a conversation, that has nothing to do with a nice ambience . We couldn't enjoy our food, we just wanted to get out so we just shoved it in. Prices rather high, and for yesterday, too high. So if you like your food crowded, loud and expensive, this is the place for you.

Unfortunately the quality of the food is no longer as good as it used to be. The day we were there the heating went out so we had to leave our jackets on while we ate. The service was very slow and the tea I was offered was unfortunately also added to the bill.

Das Essen war ok, aber eher durchschnittlich. Das Ambiente hat uns leider gar nicht gefallen, alles eng vollgestellt und eher zusammengewürfelt und geschmacklos eingerichtet, alles in allem sehr überladen und nicht sehr gemütlich.

Das essen ist wunderbar, sehr nettes Personal, kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Alles war perfekt 👌🏼 immer wieder gerne gehe ich hin 👌🏼

Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Was die Speisen betrifft, war ich von der Vielfalt und Qualität der mediterranen Küche begeistert. Die Aromen waren exquisit, und jedes Gericht wurde mit Sorgfalt zubereitet. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die hausgemachten Pasta-Gerichte und die köstlichen Meeresfrüchte-Spezialitäten. Die gemütliche Einrichtung und das Ambiente trugen zu einem unvergesslichen Abend bei. Ich kann das Aix Mediterrane uneingeschränkt empfehlen und freue mich schon darauf, bald wieder zurückzukehren!"

Tijdens de kerstmarkt zijn we hier gaan eten. Het restaurant ziet er eenvoudig uit. Maar het zat er vol. De bediening bracht ons naar onze plek. Het eten wat we bestelde was redelijk snel klaar. Het eten smaakte erg goed. Het vlees kwam van een houtskoolgrill en dat proefde je. Het vlees was mals. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Om gewoon lekker te eten is het zeker een aanrader.

Leider nur 1 Stern und das nur für das Essen. Service, Ambiente und die Freundlichkeit des Personals lassen zu wünschen übrig. Der Besitzer und der Koch sind mit privaten Sachen beschäftigt und der Service kümmert sich nicht um die Bedürfnisse der Gäste. Die Sitzplätze und Tische sind klebrig und dreckig. Ich gehe stark davon aus dass die Bewertungen hier Fake sind :) nie wieder !

Das war das schlechteste Türkische Restaurant was ich jemals besucht habe. Bedienung verstand kein Deutsch, auf Nachfrage wie meine Gambas gemacht werden, habe ich eine sehr unhöfliche Antwort bekommen. Die Gambas waren wie ich befürchtet habe nicht durch und sie gingen komplett Retour. Es wurde nicht gefragt warum, es wurde nur abgeräumt ohne das mir aus Kulanz etwas anderes angeboten hat. Bezahlen müsste ich aber alles

A small restaurant right near the beautiful townhall. They serve a range of oriental, Mediterranean and European dishes. I had the mixed grill which came with steamy rice and two tasty sauce. The meat part was equally good and big enough. There was a side salad but it was on the very small side. Service provided by the staff was friendly and speedy. A great place to enjoy a good lunch.

Had tried an appetizer from here that a brought bought before, tasted great enough for me to come try on my own. Friendly staff put up with my bad German and also knew English fine. I had the Kofta with fried potatoes, was delicious. Will happily return, either solo or with a friend.

Sehr leckeres Essen, das Rumpsteak und der Putensalat sind uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Die Preise sind angemessen, aber nicht günstig. Sehr schöne Lage, hier hat man einiges zu schauen... Dem Treiben in der aachener Innenstadt ist interessant zu zu sehen. Der jungen Bedienung fehlt noch die Erfahrung am einem Samstag Abend die Gäste zu handeln, da muss man schonmal selber aktiv werden.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr nette, sympathische Bedienung. Habe selten so geschmacksvoll gegessen, dass es wirklich auf Holzkohle gegrillt wird, einfach nur sehr, sehr lecker. Ich liebe es wenn der Holzkohlegrillgeruch in der Luft liegt, genau wie in der Türkei. Ganz klare Empfehlung! Wir kommen wieder.

Ich besuche das Restaurant jetzt mehrere Jahre zusammen mit meinem Partner. Anscheinend gibt es einen neuen Besitzer, davon wollten wir uns selbstverständlich ein Bild machen. Die Inneneinrichtung ist dieselbe , aber der Service und das Essen hat qualitativ stark nachgelassen. Bei Eintritt waren teilweise Tische nicht abgeräumt obwohl keine Kundschaft vor Ort war, was bei einem den Eindruck hinterlässt dass die Sauberkeit nicht sehr ernst genommen wird. Man wurde nicht freundlich empfangen was einem das Erlebnis bereits am Anfang etwas vermiest hat. Nachdem die Bestellung endlich aufgenommen wurde kam das Essen total kalt an. Mal war das Fleisch wärmer, mal die Beilage. Die Salat Portion ist viel zu klein im Vergleich zu vorher. Zudem war das Personal nicht besonders zuvorkommen sondern eher unfreundlich, weshalb man sich nicht sehr wohl gefühlt hat. Die Preise sind günstig was man aber an der Qualität der Gerichte deutlich zu spüren bekommt. Leider ein insgesamt sehr trauriges Ergebnis und für mich ein Grund das Aix mediterrane nach so vielen Jahren erstmal nicht mehr zu besuchen.

Wir wurden als Gruppe von 6 Personen sehr aufmerksam und super freundlich bedient, obwohl es sehr voll war. Das Essen war super, sehr frisch, das Fleisch sehr zart und die Fritten perfekt. Und alles reichlich ! Es ist uns alles sehr gut bekommen!

Der Besitzer hat gewechselt aber es ist trotzdem alles super. Der Koch ist auch gleich geblieben und versteht sein Handwerk. Ich komme wöchentlich hier Essen seit Jahren und wurde noch nie enttäuscht.

Super leckeres Essen, kleine Karte mit toller türkischer Auswahl an Fleisch und Fischgerichten und dazu tolle Vorspeisen, die man so nicht woanders findet. Der Holzkohle Grill gibt den Gerichten das gewisse Extra. Bedienung ist immer schnell zur Stelle und super freundlich. Und man kann toll draußen sitzen. Ich komme immer wieder gerne her und die Qualität ist immer super.

Einfach Klasse. Tolles Ambiente, sehr nette, sympathische Bedienung. Und das Essen war authentisch und der Geschmack dadurch, dass es wirklich auf Holzkohle gegrillt wird, einfach nur sehr, sehr lecker. Wij hadden een mixed grill besteld voor 2 personen. Het eten komt met een lift naar boven. Het vlees was lauw en aan de onderliggende gebakken aardappels kon je je tong wel verbranden. De borden waren erg koud zodat het hele menu binnen de kortste keren niet meer op temperatuur was. Ik was wel blij dat het bier niet lauw was.

Leider war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant enttäuschend. Zunächst einmal war die Atmosphäre sehr ungemütlich. Das Personal war zwar höflich, aber leider auch sehr langsam und unaufmerksam. Es dauerte eine Ewigkeit, bis unsere Bestellungen aufgenommen wurden und noch länger, bis das Essen serviert wurde. Als das Essen endlich kam, war ich enttäuscht von der Qualität. Die Speisen waren lieblos präsentiert und geschmacklich eher fade. Die Portionen waren zudem nicht im Verhältnis zum Preis. Es fehlte an Kreativität und Frische in den Gerichten. Auch die Hygiene ließ zu wünschen übrig. Die Tische waren nicht sauber und das Besteck wirkte nicht richtig gereinigt. Das hat das Esserlebnis zusätzlich beeinträchtigt. Alles in allem war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant enttäuschend. Ich kann es leider nicht weiterempfehlen und werde selbst nicht wiederkommen.

Die Kellner schienen sich nicht darum zu kümmern, ob wir zufrieden waren oder nicht. Auch die Qualität des Essens ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Speisen waren fade und geschmacklos. Es schien, als ob die Küche keinerlei Sorgfalt in die Zubereitung der Gerichte steckte. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Der schlechte Service, das geschmacklose Essen und die unangenehme Atmosphäre haben mich sehr enttäuscht. Es gibt definitiv bessere Restaurants in der Umgebung, die einen Besuch wert sind.

Ich bin schon seit mehreren Jahren Gast des Aix Mediterrane und mir hat immer wirklich alles sehr gut gefallen, aber leider musste ich nach all den Jahren auch eine negative Erfahrung sammeln. Nicht nur von der Qualität des Essens war ich Enttäuscht, sondern auch von dem Service. Angefangen davon nicht richtig empfangen zu werden, bis dahin gehend aufgrund von Kommunikationsproblemen Flasche Bestellungen zu erhalten, was ich dann einfach mal so hingekommen habe. Es schien leider alles sehr unorganisiert und durcheinander, was man als Gast auch zu spüren bekommen hat... Vielleicht hatte ich auch einen schlechten Tag erwischt, jedoch wird das in letzter Zeit erstmal mein letzter Besuch in diesem Lokal gewesen sein…
