Because of the good reviews, we decided to visit the restaurant. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Outside it didn't look like the pictures. The tables were not set and the tables were sticky. The food also disappointed us in terms of taste. For the price you can expect more. All in all, not recommended. Too bad for the restaurant.

Nice restaurant and nice ambience. We only drank here, so we can't rate the food. Visiting is only possible with a reservation. After we told the waitress that we just wanted to drink (which is actually OK in a restaurant/bar) we were already downstairs with the waitress. We ordered drinks and when I wanted to order another drink, I asked the waitress if she could recommend anything. Then I said a mushy: "I'm just running around here today, but I can bring you the card." That finished me off and I left. When it comes to service, I don't like it again.

We had a truly crowning conclusion to our stay in Potsdam in the loft. The waitresses are worth their weight in gold, we didn't have a reservation, but we got a table on the roof terrace facing the courtyard, with a time slot that was completely sufficient. The drinks and food came to the table extremely quickly. We were served attentively and kindly throughout. The food was really a poem. Brucetta and goat cheese as a starter - highly recommended. And the main course with veal liver and beef goulash according to the house recipe was a poem. Recommended without exception 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Went for the 90th birthday. Great ambience, very tasty food and very attentive, friendly top service. The staff was great, everyone liked it and most people would like to come back. We spent our first date there yesterday and were completely blown away. From the first impression when you come in to the moment you pay, it's just a great experience. The nice lady who served us was just lovely, the food was simply delicious and beautifully prepared. We will 100% come back and recommend it to others. BTW you have to try goat cheese as a starter. By far the best I've ever tried. A really big cinema!

We were there yesterday with 20 people. Despite our delay, we had an excellent meal. The staff is professional and super friendly. We recommend! Every time again, the view over Potsdam is also very beautiful.

It took them 1 hour and half to serve us the entry and the beers then 1 additional hour for the main course. We ate poorly. They took us for fools with the cooking of the meat. We ordered it rare and they served it well done. Instead of making it again, they just put the same meat back on the grill, making it even more overcooked. And to top it off, the waitresses claimed it was our fault? Then the bill was incorrect increasing the price of some dishes. The worst restaurant in Potsdam. If you want to have a good night, do not go to this restaurant.

We waited a ridiculous two hours for our dinner, and they messed up the meat twice, so we had to cancel our order. Then, they actually overcharged us twice, including for the dish we didn’t even eat, racking up over 250€. On top of it all, we kept getting into arguments with the staff over their mistakes. Despite all the hassle, they offered no compensation whatsoever. It was a really frustrating and disappointing experience.

Wir hatten am 14.05.2024 kurzfristig ein befreundetes Paar zu Besuch und wollten im Restaurant Loft, in Potsdam, essen gehen. Wir betraten die Gaststätte gegen 18.20 Uhr und sahen, dass einige Tische reserviert waren. Wir warteten am Eingang um platziert zu werden. Ich ging rechts auf den Balkon, wo einige Tische reserviert waren. Zwei Tische hinten links waren noch frei. Auf meine Frage hin, ob wir uns dort hinsetzen dürfen, wurde mir durch eine jüngere Kellnerin gesagt, dass auch diese Tische reserviert seien und zwar für eine Gruppe, welche schon im Innenbereich saß um dort zu speisen. Die Begründung durch die betreffende Kellnerin war, dass, wenn jemand aus dieser Gruppe rauchen wolle, doch auch dafür Plätze bereitgestellt werden müssen. Mir wurde dann auch mehrmals eine Visitenkarte angeboten und geraten doch das nächste Mal rechtzeitig eine Reservierung vorzunehmen. Während dieser Zeit bedauerte eine weitere Kellnerin, dass ihre Kollegin uns die freien Plätze auf dem Balkon nicht angeboten hatte. Sie ging davon aus, dass wir nur im Innenbereich platziert werden könnten. Die hinzukommende jüngere Kollegin betonte jedoch energisch, dass auch im Innenbereich keine Plätze mehr zur Verfügung stehen würden. Wir gingen sehr enttäuscht und verärgert raus und können als Resultat nur von weiteren, nicht reservierten, Besuchen dort abraten . Hätte diese Angestellte irgendwie angedeutet, dass eventuell zu wenig Personal vorhanden ist, wäre ein gewisses Verständnis unsererseits bestimmt dagewesen. Peter G.

One and only Roof Restaurant in Postdam and great food and a very nice Ambience.

Reserved a table with friends today. Everyone ate the house specialty - the Prussian goulash. We weren't promised too much. Was great. Disadvantage, "Greetings from the kitchen" came at the same time as the main course. But everything was still worth 5 stars. I wish the restaurant lots of nice customers.

We came in the evening in March and sat inside. There was nothing with a view, a shame. The service was smooth 1! I found the food for the 3 of us very different. I tried all three times and found it to be between 2 and 4 (according to school grades). I would love to come back again in the summer with the terrace open.

Food was good, service was very good and very friendly!

Anyone who enters the loft hopes to have a pleasant stay thanks to the pleasant ambience. The service staff then reinforce this impression with their friendliness. This impression remains until the ordered food arrives. The “greeting from the kitchen” in advance consisted of four thick slices of dried baguette served with a garlic dip, which of course tasted of garlic, nothing else. We couldn't think of anything more than a shrug of the shoulders. Certainly meant nicely, unfortunately not convincing. Then followed the main course, which for us consisted of a “steak au four” and a “beef fillet ala Strindberg”. Neither the steak nor the beef fillet impressed with its taste and sophistication in its preparation. The steak was extremely dry and the casing of the beef fillet left a rather mushy impression. The side dishes for both dishes consisted of frozen croquettes and frozen peas. Both side dishes were hard to beat in terms of simplicity in their preparation. On the positive side, the food was served on preheated plates. I would also like to point out that the online menu differs in some respects from the physical menu on site. In summary, all that remains for us to say at the end is that you have high expectations of yourself when it comes to ambience, service and price, but the food is far below this. Unfortunately, the loft is not an alternative for us in the future. Yvonne & Frank

Ich fand den Aufenthalt hier sehr gemütlich und freundlich. Im Hintergrund läuft eine leise Musik. Das Essen kam zügig. Den Aufenthalt war es wert.

Wir waren am 30.12.23 mit 4 Personen dort Essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und gut. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Würde dieses Restaurant jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Ich war zwei Tage hintereinander da und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Habe aber auch nur 20% meiner Favoriten kosten können. Leider. Ich freue mich auf das nächste Mal Potsdam. Dann bin ich wieder im Loft!

Das Essen ist super, das Ambiente angenehm und der Blick über Potsdam schön. Der Service hat sich sehr bemüht, bei dem Gästeaufkommen wäre eine Person mehr aber besser gewesen. Das Ambiente war insgesamt gemütlich einige Details wie die dreieckigen Facettenspiegel auf den Toiletten sind aber Geschmackssache. Abseits davon ein angenehmer Besuch.

Mein duroc war zu durch und das strindberg ist viel zu dünn. Normalerweise nimmt man dafür ein Rumpsteak. Die anderen Gerichte (Nudeln und Gulasch) waren exzellent. Preislich am oberen Limit aber die Bedienung und das Ambiente waren ausgezeichnet.

Die Preise sind hier schon etwas gehobener (Bier 7,90 €), geschuldet der Lage mitten in Potsdam und von den Terrassen mit einem sensationellen Blick über Potsdam. Es gibt deutsche Küche, fein gekocht, mit saisonalen Produkten. Die Pasta- und Risottoportionen sind riesig, nicht zu bewältigen, aber auch nicht ganz günstig. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aber nicht immer besonders flott oder aufmerksam.

Sehr nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Fahrstuhl war außer Betrieb, wir hatten aber eine Person im Rollstuhl dabei. Das Personal hat uns über den Wareneingang um die Ecke ins Lokal geholt.

Wenn man Tage vorher bestellt und fragt,ob es eine en Lift gibt und zwischendurch kontinuierlich über die Essensbestellung kommuniziert, dann aber am Tag des Besuchs erzählt bekommt, der Lift sei schon mehrere Tage wegen Blitzschlags defekt. Sorry, aber so etwa geht gar nicht. Der Lift wurde wegen Barrierefreiheit angefragt .

Super leckeres Essen und tolle Atmosphäre auf der Dachterrasse. Wir hatten natürlich bestes Wetter und haben auf der Dachterrasse zum Hinterhof gesessen. Es gibt auch eine zur Einkaufsstraße raus. Wir haben uns das Schnitzel mit Spargel und Kartoffeln bestellt. Für mich war es das Beste Schnitzel bisher. Bedienung war auch super nett. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Ein besonderer Ort über den Dächern von Potsdam mit traumhafter Aussicht über die Stadt. Vorzügliche deutsche Küche und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen. Sowas wünscht man sich, wenn's mal etwas Besonderes sein soll.

Man muss schon viel Glück haben, wenn man ohne Reservierung einen Tisch auf der Dachterrasse draußen haben möchte. Dieses Glück hatten wir und konnten den Blick zum Dom genießen. Man erreicht das Restaurant im 3. Stock auch über einen Fahrstuhl. Das Bedienungspersonal ist sehr freundlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war super lecker und die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte nötigt uns auf jeden Fall wiederzukommen. 😀

Bis auf den Ingwertee alles keine gute Qualität: Schweinefleisch mit viel Fett durchsetzt, Hühnchen nur so wie Chickenwings, Tofusalat alles schwabbelig, nur mit Soße übergossen, nicht zu empfehlen. Hier war ich das 1. Und letzte Mal.

Als Potsdamer ist man einiges gewohnt, was dieses Restaurant jedoch an "Kundenservice" zu bieten hat, ist traurig und jämmerlich. Ich haue normalerweise keine Bewertungen raus, in diesem Falle musste ich es tun! Mein Besuch und ich nahmen auf der Terrasse an einem leeren Tisch Platz. Wir fragten auch die Gäste ob dieser Tisch frei bzw. reserviert ist. Nach einigen Minuten wurden wir von der heranstürmenden Kellnerin angeblafft ob ich nicht lesen könnte mit den Worten "Ick bediene sie nicht, können sie nicht lesen, sie können gleich wieder gehen"! Puhhhh.....das Restaurant war ungefähr zu 50% ausgelastet. "Restaurant Loft" scheint die Covid Pandemie gut überstanden zu haben! Zunächst denkt man an die versteckte Kamera, dann muss man jedoch feststellen, das der Service hier sehr klein geschrieben wird. Es ist mir in diesem Restaurant schon das zweite mal passiert, man wird mich hier nicht noch einmal wieder sehen! Ich frage mich immer, welcher Eigentümer lässt solche Umstände zu? Jämmerlicher Kundenservice!

This restaurant was recommended by the staff of the hotel we stayed. We asked for a place with good, regional food. The food was mediocre. The rest of the experience was terrible. Knowing that I unfortunately have a food allergy, we went early in the day to check the menu. Upon seeing that there were in fact dishes i could have, we made a reservation. We arrived on time an waited for an almost uncomfortable amount of time to be even acknowledged. Our QR codes were checked and we were finally seated. As soon as we were seated, our experience began to feel rushed. My partner (DE national) ordered and specifically mentioned no gluten to our waitperson. They assured us that it was no issue, because the meal ordered for me was advertised as not having any. The first dish was wonderful, an egg and potato with a mustard sauce. Then the entrée arrived. Prussian goulash with gooseberry,potato dumplings.... WITH BREADCRUMBS on top?!?!. We notified the waitstaff. They placed the blame on the kitchen staff and removed my plate. My plate returned, no breadcrumbs. I was then assured by the waitperson that there was absolutely not gluten. Well, that is not the case. My belief is the dumplings were replaced and the meat was reheated. I began having an almost immediate reaction to the dish. Thankfully NOT an anaphylaxis reaction, as calling an ambulance on vacation is never good. My dining partner finished my meal, as there was no waitstaff to be found. They reappeared to take our dishes, as there was still food on them, this confused us .... A coffee was then brought... So, we asked for the check. The waitstaff was told of the allergen discrepancy and assured us once again that it was the fault of the kitchen staff. She would never, and maintained her stance. Then I pointed to the amaretti cookie, on the spoon, on the plate, with my coffee, that they prepared. Do not go here if you suffer from any food allergies. Do not go here if you want the waitstaff to even pretend to care about the service they provide. Combined, my dining partner and I have over 50 years in the food service business, so we can definitely be understanding. But this was a bit too much. I wish I could forget this sooner, however the resulting hives will cause me to have a lasting memory.

Elegante ristorante situato nel centro storico di Potsdam, specializzato in piatti della cucina tedesca. Una volta saliti al terzo piano del palazzo, oltre la sala si può decidere di consumare in uno dei due terrazzi con vista sui tetti dei palazzi della città. Da segnalare il goulash prussiano. I piatti sono riusciti, preparati con cura con materie prime fresche. Il personale è attento alle esigenze della clientela. Prezzi nella media, buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato.

Ein sehr schick eingerichtetes Lokal mit einem tollen Blick über die Dächer. Sehr herzliche und freundliche Bedienung. Wir haben uns sofort Wohlgefühl. Die Erdbeerbowle als Getränk des Tages, wurde uns empfohlen und hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Genau wie das Essen. Am liebsten hätten wir mehrere Hauptgerichte bestellt, so lecker hörte sich alles an. Pfifferlingscremesuppe und vegetarische Soljanka als Vorspeise, beides vorzüglich garniert und wunderschön angerichtet. Und kulinarisch ein Traum. Danach schweinebratenkruste mit angebratenen Semmelknödeln und Blutwurst mit süß-sauer gedünsteten Zwiebeln und Kartoffeln. Es hat alles perfekt harmoniert. Die Bedienung kam immer im richtigen Moment um zu fragen ob wir noch etwas brauchen und war immer für einen Scherz zu haben und das Essen hat nicht zu lang gedauert. Kaffee und aperitif gab es auf de Terrasse bei langsam einsetzender Nacht und angehenden Lichtern. Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir sind hier zum Abendessen mit einer Gruppe von 6 Leuten ohnen Reservierung eingekehrt und hatten Glück, einen freien Tisch zu ergattern. Die Sicht von oben aus dem Restaurant ist hübsch, auch wenn es schon dunkel war. Auch das Ambiete ist sehr schön. Das Essen ist nicht ganz günstig, aber war sein Geld wert. Auch der Service war sehr gut.

Auf der Durchreise haben wir bei einem Stop in Potsdam im Hotel die Empfehlung für das Restaurant Loft bekommen. Ohne diese hätten wir das Restaurant nicht entdeckt, es liegt unscheinbar in der Brandenburger Strasse, ein schmaler Hauseingang führt zu einem Lift, mit dem man in die 3. Etage fahren muss um ins Restaurant zu kommen. Wir wurden dort sehr freundlich empfangen und bei der Speiseauswahl beraten, regionale Küche mit Gerichten, die man von zu Hause kennt. Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker, es hat uns so gut geschmeckt, dass wir am nächsten Abend gleich nochmal hingegangen sind. Wir können das Loft sehr empfehlen, es ist laut Auskunft einer Angestellten seit vielen Jahren in der Hand der gleichen Besitzer, was heutzutage in Städten ja nicht mehr so oft vorkommt. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und umsorgt die Gäste in unaufdringlicher Weise. Wir haben beide Male sehr genossen, vielen Dank an das Team vom Loft!

A group of about a dozen friends showed up for dinner as reserved. Everyone was wearing a mask. We were left milling in the reception area for a long time although clearly the tables and chairs were waiting unoccupied right next to us. It took about fifteen minutes to get us seated. When I asked the waiter, a middle-aged man, about staff not wearing masks, he threw a hissy fit and commented that we could all bugger off. After seating the group, he left us sitting without coming to us for over 30 minutes even to take drink orders. Even then, he gave me a hard time at every turn, shunning me deliberately. The drinks took at least another 25 minutes to come and we had still not ordered food. When orders were taken at last, the food for the most part showed up together. The portions were generous and the presentation was good. But, after everyone had eaten, one couple's starter items suddenly showed up. They had more or less assumed it had been forgotten and surprised to see it now. The waiter basically ignored us. Even when it came to paying, we all had to trudge to another part of the restaurant and deal with this bad-tempered divo. Even making change was an issue for him. Although the food was all right and the restaurant an interesting rooftop site (for which I give the place a 2), this one person totally ruined the evening. None of us will ever likely return.
