We were passing through in our campervan and were very satisfied. The service is friendly and efficient, and the food is incredibly delicious. Our recommendation is the "Landschnitzel" (country schnitzel)!!! It tastes great, is a generous portion, and comes with a side salad. We'll gladly come again, thank you.

Had I known beforehand what kind of events they host here, I would never have recommended staying here to my friends. What a shame!

This was our second time here, and certainly not our last. It was a wonderful week. The food was always delicious and plentiful. We rented a vacation apartment, and everything we needed was there. The bus stops right outside, making it ideal for trips to Potsdam.

Unfortunately, the restaurant smells a bit of grease. We sat outside. The food is good, but it comes at a price. The service could be a bit friendlier.

The food…pike-perch fillet with boiled potatoes and a small salad… was very good. The service was super friendly and prompt. The ambiance is quaint… there's plenty to discover :)

We stayed in a vacation apartment for two nights. The apartment was beautifully furnished and equipped. We had two children with us, and both felt very comfortable. However, I could imagine the apartment getting very warm in the summer; it was already that way when we were there at 20 degrees Celsius. You have to like the proximity to the busy main road, but I knew that beforehand, so it was fine. We would book the apartment again, just maybe not in midsummer. There were also always a lot of mosquitoes inside. The only option was to open the windows with fly screens, but that was fine. The inn downstairs was busy on Schnitzel Friday, and we ate there too. The schnitzels were perfect, as were the side dishes and salad. The portions were so large that we were full for the rest of the day. Absolutely delicious. The smell of schnitzel wafted through the hallway all the way up to the vacation apartment in the evening, but that didn't bother us. That's to be expected when the inn is in the same building. The gentleman in the restaurant was very friendly, even though we had a few special requests. Everything went perfectly, thank you. We will be back, both to stay and eat. Best wishes and thank you 🙏

Absolutely delicious food at a fair price. Our biggest problem was the size of the spiced meat. It was so generously portioned that we couldn't finish the main course. 5 out of 5, definite recommendation!

A top-notch inn with very well-appointed rooms, all in the tranquil setting of a country house, very clean. Very good food (plenty of it 😉), all freshly prepared. Super friendly/nice hosts, fair prices…you couldn't ask for more in these difficult times. I highly recommend it, just go and eat 😊.

I highly recommend the Restaurant Zum alten Krug! The German dishes are plentiful and very tasty, and the beer served is excellent. I think it's great that this restaurant, despite all the adversities, seems to be escaping the shortage of inns in Brandenburg! Keep it up!

Great room and quiet location, restaurant downstairs. Storks had a nest across the road. Beach is within walking distance. One thing to note is that you should bring your own breakfast supplies, there is a Lavazza coffee machine and kettle. A bottle of wine and mineral water are included in the room price.

So, we don't understand the negative reviews. We often go there on Fridays for Schnitzel Friday and have never been disappointed. A warm welcome and delicious food. Very attentive service staff. Even though the terrace is full, there's always a smile on their faces.

We arrived at the campsite at 7:30 today, and the restaurant is next door. I wasn't expecting such great food so close to closing time. Huge portions and everything freshly prepared. We had spiced meat, hamburger schnitzel, and schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms… absolutely delicious! It's really hard to find German cuisine of this quality! Good luck in the future!

Small hotel with a restaurant. It has a beer garden and a spacious parking lot. A meeting place for RVers. We stopped by for coffee and cake on Schnitzel Friday. The service was rather unambitious. We waited 30 minutes for two cappuccinos and two pieces of apple crumble. The cake was delicious. I only recommend this visit with reservations.

I look very young (I hope over 16) - The small menu didn't bother us BUT the food really wasn't good, and we're pretty relaxed about that. €19.90 for a frozen schnitzel with fried potatoes covered in fries seasoning and a torn salad on the side. We went with friends on a Friday for "Schnitzel Day." Yes, you do need a bit of patience, which apparently not everyone has these days. We should be glad that there are still people who practice this profession. The staff were in a great mood, sometimes even with a lighthearted joke. We were rewarded for the short wait with a truly delicious meal. Each of the five of us had a different schnitzel version (even with a pineapple special :-)), and everyone was full and incredibly enthusiastic about the dish. Even the non-XXL version is perfectly sufficient for a normal eater. We thank the team for the wonderful evening; we'd love to go again if we're in the area.

I only visited the restaurant. There were few dishes on the menu. Too simple, not well presented, didn't taste good (of course, very subjective), and way too expensive for the simplicity of the dishes. No dessert menu! I don't understand it.

We stopped there for lunch on the way back from the Baltic Sea to Munich. Friday is Schnitzl Day, and we had a pepper schnitzel and a hunter's schnitzel. Both were excellent, served with fried potatoes and salad! The pepper sauce was exactly what the name suggests, with green pepper. The hunter's schnitzel came with fresh mushrooms. The salad dressing was fine; I'm used to having different fried potatoes in Bavaria, but they were also very good and freshly made. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and preparation. And the service was also super friendly. A clear recommendation for us, and we've now bookmarked it on Google Maps for our next trip!

We had a really good meal there on Friday, which was schnitzel day, and we had a huge Hawaiian schnitzel. The service was a little overwhelmed, but the young man was always really nice. Thanks, keep up the good work.

I can't say much about the rooms in advance, as I'm only staying there overnight. But we meet there for class reunions at irregular intervals. Everyone is from the Marquardt area. So it's always a treat for us to stop by Micha and his crew. It's a nice, cozy, and somewhat rustic place to linger. The food is good, home-style. Micha and his crew are friendly and always in a good mood, always ready with a quick joke. The Alte Krug and Marquardt are always worth a visit.

We stayed here for one night with our campervan. The place to stay overnight isn't very big, but it had VE and all for 15 euros. Electricity was paid extra with coins. From here you could take a nice walk through the castle park. Very idyllic. The restaurant is a restaurant like you would expect in the country. Well there was some mess here and there, but it was clean. The service is friendly, the menu is homely. We ordered the Hamburger Schnitzel with 2 fried eggs and fried potatoes and the Landschnitzel with gherkins and cheese gratin. (19.90 + 20.90€) Both are a large portion and incredibly tasty. The price, well. We had a quiet night, received friendly service and ate very well.

Today we were lucky. We were here for “Schnitzel Friday”. Super. 13 different schnitzels on the menu. The decision was difficult. We had three different ones. All of such excellent quality. At the end of June 2017, we stayed with our team for one night at the motorhome parking lot belonging to the restaurant. The operators have meadow areas where you can park your vehicle, both directly at the restaurant and a short distance away. The daily rent cost 5 euros. Electricity is extra. The restaurant offers down-to-earth cuisine. The selection isn't that big. By bike we easily got to Potsdam city center and the castle on cycle paths. We would love to come back again. It was good, then give it a thumbs up.

DEVALUATION - the A.. D (Alternative against Germany) election party took place here on September 22nd, 2024, including chants and agitation against liberal values, gays and foreigners).. NO RESTAURANT CAN BE THAT POOR!!! My original rating would have had more potential, unless you prefer to rely on a few ethnic visitors and national patriots... instead of the liberal city dwellers and nature lovers who were aggressively attacked by the pseudo-politicians of the Alternative against Germany: the following no longer applies, but it is still here , just to make it clear to the operator what he is giving up (You could easily say: the best house on the site... because it's the only one in Marquard and so that wouldn't be cheating. Nice beer garden outside, very friendly and quick service, generous portions (I noticed that at the neighboring table).. . We are on tour with our caravan and found out in advance through the website that we could spend a few days there. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by a nice woman who supervises the place and is available to answer any questions. The restaurant is also an insider tip that offers great food. It was served beyond our expectations. Since we have also read other people's opinions, we can only say positive things. The town of Marqurdt is definitely worth seeing, e.g. the castle park, the church (if possible with a visit from the priest himself). The connection by bus and train to Berlin and Potsdam e.g. so that you can leave the car behind and enjoy the trip in a relaxed manner. We'll definitely be back.

There were six of us in the restaurant and wanted cushions as the chairs outside were very hard. They didn't want to give us any because they would then have to bring them back; the boss had forbidden that. We asked to speak to the boss but no one showed up. Then we saw that other guests were receiving pillows, so we got upset until after 30 minutes we also received pillows. The food was average, the sauce that was specially ordered was missing. After dinner I called the waitress and said that we would like to order drinks again. She answered literally: “I’m not a dog” and walked away. This restaurant is not recommended!

Nice parking space for one or two days to visit Potsdam. We were in Potsdam City by bus in about 25 minutes. The night for 15€ plus 2.50€ for shower and toilet for two people.

A cozy country inn with a beer garden, in a very beautiful location. I've been there three times recently and have always received prompt service. The food always tasted great and the Grevensteiner beer was a real treat. It was served at an ideal drinking temperature. All prices have been adjusted. You can certainly eat cheaper if you can do without the ambience and, above all, German cuisine. But here I think the price-performance ratio is reasonable. I don't understand why guests are bothered by a political opinion on the doormat.

We spent a night on the adjacent parking space that belongs to the inn and were really impressed by the warmth of the lady in charge (her name is Sonja). Unfortunately you can't say that about the inn. Only the serving staff were quick and friendly and tried very hard. But the quality of the food leaves more than enough to be desired. Apart from the prices being way too high, the selection was more than clear. The menus that can be seen on the internet did not exist. The beer was warm and the cola was stale. I had brawn with fried potatoes, which weren't but triplets that were simply cut in half and were swimming in fat and, as already mentioned, cold. The side salad tasted rancid. The whole thing should cost 17 euros. I can't judge the dishes of the people sitting next to me, but enthusiasm looks different. When we left the next day we found out that there was a staff shortage and that only a "substitute cook" was responsible that evening. I hope for the guests who come after us that there will be a change of chef. Judging by the previous reviews, the cuisine was really very good.

We stayed on your parking space with our motorhome for a few days. Wonderful! We had dinner with you once, which was very disappointing, even though the nice young waiter gave his all. Despite this quality, it wasn't cheap either. Afterwards, we were sent a picture of a doormat in your premises: Green people have to stay outside. It's a shame that we didn't know this earlier, otherwise we would have complied and happily spent our good money elsewhere. It's a shame, of course we won't be coming back.

Sunday, May 26, 2024 early afternoon: Order was taken after 20 minutes, drinks were brought 10 minutes later; So far ok... but the 2 asparagus soups we ordered were still not served after 1.5 hours of waiting. Waited patiently, but left hungry. Warming up a soup can't take 1.5 hours... Very disappointing! Other guests in the beer garden left because after 20 minutes no order had been taken. So dear guests: bring enough time and don't be thirsty or hungry :-)) What a shame, the small beer garden has potential. The prices seem moderate. Unfortunately we can't rate the quality of the food because we didn't enjoy it. The service staff tried hard, but seemed overwhelmed in one situation or another (e.g. when glasses are empty, whether you would like to order something else :-)). And if the meal takes longer, you could let the guest know. If you pay but do not receive the food you ordered, an apology to the guest would be helpful in order to avoid greater displeasure. All the best for the future.

We only used the restaurant. Everything was consistent, from the service to the food. The service was very friendly, changes to the food were accepted and the chef conjured up great dishes for us. Thank you very much and keep it up!

We stayed in the country inn for three nights. Unfortunately the first impression wasn't the best. The property is a bit littered/crowded and the stairs inside the house were noticeably dirty and full of boxes. The apartment on the top floor is actually very nice but unfortunately very dirty. Windows aren't cleaned at all and are covered in shit. The floor was not swept and had crumbs and sand on it. Most noticeable in the socks. In the bathroom there was brown sauce running down the shower stall. Old splash stains from previous owners on the sink, soap residue, etc. (Very disgusting), toilet seat broken and cracked. Everything was dusty, especially in the bathroom, so you couldn't put anything (clothes and towels) down. It's really a shame because the potential is there. After we pointed this out to the tenant (he was sitting in the dining room of the restaurant at the time and smoking a cigarette. Paper documents were on the counter), his mother cleaned up, but only mopped the floor and wiped down the sink. Everything else was as before. I could name many more things, but that goes beyond the scope. The dining room was similarly dirty (dirty floor, tables only superficially wiped, but unfortunately sticky and covered in spider webs). Food was okay, very greasy schnitzel. Still tastes good. The hospitality was highly valued, the waiters and tenants were very friendly at all times. All in all, there is a lot of potential here, but they don't have much to offer in terms of thoroughness and cleanliness. Although I think that the most important thing is in the hotel industry and actually everyone can/must see it!
