I was at Levantine with four people. Authentic restaurant. The owner was very nice and friendly; sometimes less is more. We had originally planned to drink wine. Contrary to what the website says, there was no wine list available. They offer a white, red, and rosé wine. He gave us the white and red to try. They tasted good, but at €69, they weren't an option for us. The owner justified the price by saying he imports the wine from Lebanon. We then had beer, which was also a hefty €5.90. Water is on the table. It should be mentioned that a bottle costs €8.50. On the owner's recommendation, we ordered several vegetarian appetizers (seven in total) and two main courses. The food was generally good, though some dishes were a bit under-seasoned for my taste. There's room for improvement. We were then offered a complimentary shot of schnapps. Overall, I didn't think the price-performance ratio was right. P.S. To the owner: Anyone who comments on a review with hatred and envy clearly can't handle constructive criticism. I wish you all the best.

We visited this Lebanese restaurant for the first time today and were absolutely delighted. From the moment we arrived, we received an incredibly warm welcome and were attentively and kindly looked after throughout our entire visit. It's immediately apparent that the staff here are passionate about their work – both in the front of house and in the kitchen. The food was simply outstanding. The mezze selection was incredibly flavorful, with fresh hummus, perfectly seasoned falafel, crisp salad, and fantastic dips – all beautifully presented. The main courses were also spot on: tender meat, wonderful spices, nothing over-seasoned, but perfectly balanced. Dessert and tea/coffee rounded off the meal perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy; you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. The value for money is excellent, especially considering the quality and the generous portion sizes. We were treated exceptionally well and felt like guests at a friend's house. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.

A very good restaurant with delicious Lebanese dishes. We had a combination of cold and warm appetizers (mezze). The substantial yet delicious cheese salad and the meatballs were particularly noteworthy. We enjoyed them with a perfectly paired red house wine that complemented the food and spices beautifully. The service is excellent, and you feel valued and welcome as a guest. The staff checks on us frequently without being intrusive. The atmosphere is generally cozy, and the lower level of the restaurant is quieter due to the limited seating. The prices are a bit higher, but the portions are more than generous, so you'll definitely leave satisfied. We would gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant.

This was our first time at Levantine. While the restaurant is small and somewhat reminiscent of a quaint Franconian pub, the decor and ambiance skillfully incorporate the restaurant's Arabic theme, creating a charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, it was quite chilly on the ground floor – likely due to the constantly open front door and an open window upstairs – a shame, as this made it rather uncomfortable. The service is very friendly, perhaps a bit too chummy, but usually efficient. However, the concept of upselling is clearly not foreign to them. Which brings us to the food. The quality wasn't bad, but in my opinion, it was rather bland and somewhat unremarkable – our two minced meat dishes tasted very similar. The hummus appetizer was rather basic; you can find the same quality in any supermarket. The cheese salad, however, was delicious. The portions are actually quite large, but they don't come with a proper side dish; you can order potatoes, eggplant, or cauliflower separately. The prices are absolutely exorbitant. 30 EUR for main courses and 15-20 EUR for appetizers/side dishes is simply too much for this quality. Beer is 5.90 EUR. Overall, it's interesting, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Perfect location and atmosphere beautiful 🤩

Authentic and delicious Lebanese cuisine. Johann attentively attends to his guests, and his brother Elias conjures up fantastic dishes in the kitchen. The waiter suggested they put together dishes for us to share. We weren't aware of how expensive it would be. We hadn't anticipated a total of around €300 for two main courses and 5-6 bowls of side dishes.

The ambiance is very nice, cozy, and authentic. The service is very friendly and attentive. There were six of us there, and based on the recommendation, we had the table set with a variety of dishes for everyone, and all of them were outstanding.

The restaurant has something special. You should visit it at least once.

We had a reservation, which was absolutely necessary. Over the course of the evening, the restaurant was very busy and quite loud, but still okay for conversation. The upstairs restaurant is very cozy and decorated with lots of details to admire. For dinner, we had muhammara, mutabbal, tabbouleh, and a deliciously seasoned chicken and vegetables. The muhammara and mutabbal were incredibly delicious. For dessert, there was cake and mocha. Very sweet cake and strong mocha, which is a matter of taste. It was very sweet and thoughtful that someone at the next table had a birthday, and they played an oriental version of "Happy Birthday" and gave everyone in the room a glass of sparkling wine. That doesn't happen often. The service was very courteous and attentive; we got more bread. The chicken took a little longer to cook because it came out of the oven before the rest, which was a bit confusing at first, but we were later explained. You might want to wait a bit for the other parts so the time gap doesn't seem so big. All in all, a lovely evening, not the cheapest Lebanese, but definitely worth a visit! Best regards

It was an incredible experience!

The location is truly beautiful. The service is very friendly – ​​even if the guest comments usually end with "I'm very happy." You'd love to know what the other person is really thinking. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem entirely authentic at some point. After being surprised by the wine prices, I was told it was an imported wine – but the Moselle wine was just as expensive as the imported wine. This wine cost €13.50 for a 0.2 liter bottle and €9.90 for a 0.1 liter bottle – that's not right. Especially since, after research, it looks like the bottle costs €14.50 at regular retail. With 3 0.2 liter bottles and 1 0.1 liter bottle, that would be a profit margin of €35.90 per bottle. Phew.... The food was quite good – but a bit too fatty and underseasoned for our taste. Fatty – that means olive oil, yes – but not swimming in it, and seasoned doesn't necessarily mean lots of spices – but rather tasty and authentically spicy. I have Lebanese friends and I really appreciate the food. Simple starters between €13.90 and €19.90 – also quite expensive. My chicken with bread was €29.90 – without any side dish. The minced meat dish with bread – also without anything, also €29.90. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right. Unfortunately, the menu isn't published with prices on the website – and there's a reason for that... With different prices and a bit more seasoning, this restaurant could become a second living room for me, as a Nuremberg native – but perhaps the focus here is more on tourists. It was a bit of a shame – even though we were treated to raki at the end. I've traveled extensively around the world and have had very positive experiences with Lebanese cuisine and the people of Lebanon, even in Europe.

We were there today for my mother's birthday. We chose this restaurant because of the interesting concept and the good reviews. And what can I say, my dears? You are sensational. Warm, accommodating, personal. It makes such a difference when you're on first-name terms in a restaurant; I immediately feel at home. The food was very good, the Lebanese wine amazing👍, and the service couldn't be topped. When I was paying, I told the nice gentleman that it was my mother's birthday. Then he and his brother came to our table and had a drink with us (on the house), and a birthday song was played. And the best part: after we said our goodbyes, the nice gentleman ran after us with a surprise: a plate of beautifully arranged ice cream with pistachios. They know how to cook, but it is way too expensive. We had two main dishes, chicken and minced meet, plus one appetizer and mixture of baked vegetables. We ended up paying 106 euros. Just to give You a feeling: glass of house wine, 0,1l is 9 euros, appetizers are around 14 to 18 euros, mixed vegetables is 20 euros. For the money you can get way better experience in Nürnberg

This weekend we tried Levantine. Mainly because of the many positive reviews. However, I find them completely incomprehensible. I assume these are mostly one-time guests. The ambiance is great. Interestingly decorated and cozy. Service was completely overwhelmed due to being at full capacity and understaffed. Nevertheless, it was always friendly. Anyone familiar with Lebanese cuisine shouldn't expect much here. The food is less authentic and probably more geared towards guests who just drop in to try it. It's overpriced and doesn't have much in common with Arabic cuisine. The spices were quite sparing, and the wait times were abysmal. In terms of taste, it was a bit of a disappointment. I probably wouldn't go back again. There are better alternatives. Above all, you notice that many tourists and Germans come here, and fewer locals. There must be reasons for this. More show than substance. It's a shame, because Arabic Asian cuisine is very flavorful and spicy. If you read through the few negative reviews, you quickly realize where this is going. They apparently can't handle negative criticism here. We'll see when this one gets deleted upon request.

An authentic restaurant with delicious dishes and very welcoming and friendly staff. I went with 2 friends, they welcomed us well and offered us a starter because the preparation of the dishes was a little late. The dishes were super good and very well spiced. The atmosphere inside is really magnificent and gives off Lebanese vibes. I highly recommend it. PS: it is better to book in advance to ensure you have a place. I will definitely come back 😋

I'm from Berlin and went to the restaurant with friends today. We stopped by spontaneously and luckily managed to snag a seat. The food was truly incredible, and the owners were super friendly. We felt completely welcome and at home. A definite recommendation for anyone who doesn't want to eat bratwurst when they're in Nuremberg :)

We went to Levantine because of the many good reviews and were unfortunately very disappointed. Right at the start, we were served glasses of sparkling and still water - but the menu states that a bottle costs €8.50. The mixed vegetables for €20 consisted of 90% potatoes and were a small portion. The cheese salad (€15) tasted unpleasantly intense, almost rancid, and was tiny. The main course (€30) tasted good, but there was no side dish other than two slices of flatbread that were served with the starter - if you want a full meal, you'll quickly end up paying €45-55 per person. The flatbread was just ready-made bread. We also found the waiter to be very pushy. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not good at all and we cannot understand the positive reviews.

Update August 28: Google is seeking to delete this review on the grounds of "defamation." Original review: Paid €96 for four appetizers, a glass of wine, and a bottle of water. The water bottles (750ml, €8.50) are initially placed on the table without comment. So, it's up to the guest to figure out for themselves whether this is a nice gesture, like free tap water, or simply a business model. You quickly find out: it's the latter. The taste was okay in some places, but we weren't impressed in others. But at €50 per person, it's very expensive.

Anyone familiar with the individual dishes knows that many steps and preparation time go into it! The ambiance truly makes you feel like you're on vacation in the Middle East. The food was great, the service was super friendly, and the ambiance was very pleasant. It could have been a successful dining experience... at least until the bill. We wanted some variety, and for three adults and one child, it came to around €270. We had seven starters and two main courses. The bill listed 11 starters. When we asked about it, the waitress was very sure we had gotten what we wanted. My wife joined us and they served her the same dishes. After such a lovely evening, I didn't want to appear too picky, so I let it go. We were given a voucher for €19 as a gesture of goodwill. In retrospect, though, I'm annoyed about it. The neighboring table, an Italian family, was also very surprised by the bill, but they came early, and we didn't pay any attention. Ultimately, the four appetizers we didn't receive totaled approximately €60. If the owner reads this and takes our post seriously, we would be happy to resolve the issue fairly. We have pictures of most of the dishes, so our memory is still reliable. I've read from other reviews that critical reviews are often deleted via Google. I would advise against this.

Anyone who visits Levantine will be enriched by a fulfilling experience! There were three of us in the restaurant and we were immediately greeted in a very charming and friendly manner. We were given a table inside the restaurant on the ground floor, and it couldn't have been more comfortable. A super comfortable bench, great cushions, and decor that is as lovingly designed as it is unique. Even the cutlery and glasses are a real eye-catcher when you sit down at the table. The appropriately selected music perfectly rounds off this experience! The staff were consistently extremely friendly and attentive, so that you didn't feel like you were in a restaurant, but rather at the table of good friends. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered various dishes and shared them. Baba Ghanoush, shakshuka, shrimp, kofte, potatoes, vegetables, bread—everything tasted so incredibly good! Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful evening!
