Prost to the best restaurant in Nürnberg! 🥂 I had the honor of eating here during my holiday trip to Europe and saw this treasure on the map. I am so glad I made a reservation because they get busy quickly. The food. Wow! The food is authentic and the flavor is perfect. I got the Butter Hähnchen im Tontopf und Kartoffeln. The service. Wow! They made me feel so welcome with their warm wishes and kindness. I loved my experience here. Many great thanks to them! I will be back next time I’m in Germany! Danke schön 🙏🏽💜

Extremely overpriced. Price performance definitely doesn't fit. €5.90 for a bottled beer. How can this be justified? The food was overall quite good but not worth the money. I'm happy to pay for quality but not for more appearance than reality. The now deleted responses to critical reviews are or were very, very violent. Critical reviews were commented on with wild insults. A highlight is certainly the owner's self-written review with the name “TTT” and “Thank you” underneath :) I hope and wish the restaurant can deal with criticism more constructively in the future. The store itself is beautiful and has potential. However, the 4.9 stars now definitely do not reflect reality... you are repeatedly advised to leave a positive review and then you will also get something on the house. It will then be checked immediately whether you have rated. March 30, 2023 strange all these 5 star reviews from people who are all writing their first review. A rogue who thinks evil of it :) 09/02/23 The operator has tried to delete my review several times. Luckily without success. Don't be fooled. To this day we are still appalled by the restaurant. September 3, 2023 Why can't you respond objectively and appropriately to criticism? When you pay, you are almost forced to leave a positive review. Negative reviews will be deleted. 09/04/2023 Now the alleged xenophobia is starting again. Please just take criticism to heart instead of insulting people with such nonsensical claims... It doesn't matter what nationality you are. Ps. for me all people are equal. No matter your origin, religion, sexuality or whatever. Negative reviews disappear here every day. Maybe you'll look into that? Why does a double espresso cost another 4.90? 12/16/23 There is the next review from the owner himself :) and then he replies to the review he wrote himself... If it weren't so serious, you could actually laugh. 7.11.24 it starts again. As soon as a critical comment comes, the person is informed that it is wrong and that it is not welcome here...but usually the reactions are all deleted after a short time. Luckily there are screenshots! Update: 12/15/2024 The owner describes guests who give critical reviews as “mentally ill”. These answers have now been deleted again. .

Best restaurant in Nuremberg! Every time it's pure enjoyment, for which we're always happy to travel the 100 kilometers. Addendum: unfortunately I have to correct the rating and agree with the few 1 star reviews here, as additional profit is hidden here at the expense of the customer. In response to the most normal request for a recommended wine with the meal, we received this one, which also went well. Each wine in the menu costs between 30 and 35 euros. How much were we charged for ONE bottle? 130€ (!) There are certainly special wines that you can sell to customers - but if they cost over 4 times as much as the wines on the menu, you MUST mention it. We never asked for a wine outside of the menu. The food is truly a 10/10. But unfortunately we won't be coming anymore because of that, it's a shame.

I went to visit the Levantine in Nuremberg today and I am absolutely thrilled! This restaurant is a true gem that brings Lebanese cuisine and culture to life in a stunning way. The food was simply sensational: fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced spices and a presentation that made your mouth water. Every dish, from the mezze to the main course, was a delight for the senses. I was particularly impressed by the authentic flavors and attention to detail. The service was equally great – attentive, friendly and warm. You immediately feel that hospitality is very important here. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another highlight: stylish, warm and inviting. The decoration combines tradition with modern design, giving the whole room a special aura. The wine selection also deserves high praise: excellent quality and perfectly matched to the dishes.

A nicer and more authentic Lebanese restaurant is hard to find. The food was amazing, and the hosts and their team amid really a huge part of the warm and welcoming experience. I would strongly recommend to visit, and just go with the nice host’s recommendations💪😁

Update 12/02/24: Another email from Google that my review - again for "defamation" - was reported and removed. It's questionable to maintain such a good image. Update 11/11/24: As with other reviews, action was taken against my review for “defamation”. You can now make your own judgment about it. I don't feel the need to do something like this, but I believe that good and bad experiences should be shared here. Everyone is free to decide how to deal with it. --------------- We were guests last week (9/25/24) because of the cuisine, which was relatively unknown to us, and also the very good reviews. As far as nice service, despite the uncertainty about what and how much we should order, we were given a detailed and friendly recommendation of a well-mixed variation of mezze and main course, which we gratefully followed. The food was without exception very tasty, very well seasoned, varied and generally well balanced. The prices of the mezze can certainly be debated, as at up to €17 per starter it quickly adds up to a good sum, but this is at least clearly visible. Afterwards we were recommended a pistachio ice cream as the dessert of the day, we shared a portion, in hindsight I have to say "luckily" because we were quite surprised by the bill. 2 drinks ordered, 3 mezzes, 1 dip (cold starter), 1 taboule salad, a main course and the dessert for €171 for two. We complied with the questionable request "to pay together, otherwise the boss would have to pay double transaction fees" with a smile. Out of pure perplexity about the amount and to avoid an unpleasant situation, we didn't even ask about the amount, let alone get an invoice, otherwise I would have attached a photo here. After a short research, the dessert of the day that wasn't on the menu cost around €26 and the one that was already on the table ("You're welcome to help yourself to water at any time") doesn't immediately imply, in my personal opinion, that this is the case has to be paid, but yes, you could certainly have guessed) water for a whopping €8.50 each is explained as the supposed reason for the high sum. I'm happy to pay a little more for good food, but not for overpriced food or hidden prices, as in this case. Therefore, as a personal recommendation: To be on the safe side, anything that is additionally on the table, comes to the table unknowingly or is not even on the menu, ask for the price beforehand or (unlike us) get a receipt in order to avoid something like that. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time you've read this, the owner's reaction when he does it is anything from unreasonable to cheeky/impolite, which creates a feeling like the saying "dogs bark when they're hit". Again: great ambience, great service and absolutely outstanding food, but partly opaque and horrendously overpriced offer, which unfortunately clouds the overall package in retrospect and leads to this rating. Readers can now judge for themselves.

In short: food great and more than worth the price (even if it is a little more expensive), plus a cozy atmosphere and friendly service that really conveys hospitality! Please note: RESERVE a table! Due to the historic building, it is logically not barrier-free Longer: I've wanted to try the restaurant in a historic building for a long time and it was worth the wait! Were warmly welcomed in a uniquely cozy atmosphere. Clear menu, but every dish is carefully chosen and deliciously prepared - the price may seem high, but for the quality, ingredients and service it is more than worth it! After two hours that really felt like a vacation - not least because of Johann, who was there for our orders and requests in a friendly, open, warm and informative manner and who really lives the work there with heart and soul - we left satisfied, happy and full home. Oriental hospitality can really be experienced here! 2 tips: if you come with a lot of people, you can order, try and share more delicious dishes! And be sure to listen to the recommendations: the service has a feeling for what you can combine and how well - especially the changing desserts 😉

What a great evening we had! I have rarely experienced so much hospitality and warmth. We were surprised with the choice of food and were given an excellent Lebanese wine. The food was delicious and the passion for good food was evident in everything! Delicately seasoned, deliciously prepared and with the feeling of sitting on the sofa with friends. Simply perfect! There really is nothing that could be done better, even the interior design is a feast for the eyes! We are completely satisfied and look forward to being able to take this experience with us! If you’re in Nuremberg, whether you’re a local or just visiting, you absolutely must stop in for the best Lebanese cuisine you’ll ever experience. The food here is nothing short of incredible, and the customer service is just as exceptional. My husband, our 7-year-old picky eater, and I visited, and from the very first bite, we were hooked. The brothers running the place were beyond welcoming, offering fantastic recommendations and preparing every dish to perfection. They truly go above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t say enough about how much I love the food here. It’s so good that we’ve already decided we’ll be back again before heading home to Florida. Don’t miss this hidden gem, it’s more than just a meal; it’s a blessing to have found such amazing food and wonderful people. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

A few weeks ago the two of us had dinner at the Levantine and were looking forward to a lovely evening with good cuisine. The atmosphere and choice of dishes were appealing and we ordered a few starters, a shared main course and a dessert, the owner's recommended pistachio ice cream, which was offered as a special extra. The starters/mezze were all delicious. I found the main course rather disappointing - chicken breast with spices, no side dish - for €27.90. In total we paid €170 for the following: 2 drinks (no wine), 3 mezzes, 1 dip, 1 salad, 1 shared main course, 1 shared "special" dessert (pistachio ice cream). Everyone can decide for themselves whether the price/performance is right, but I've had much better food for significantly less money or have eaten significantly better for the same money. We found one point to be cheeky: Unfortunately, we did not receive a detailed invoice and it was not possible to split the invoice. The owner pointed out that otherwise double transaction fees would be incurred for card billing. The whole experience left us with the impression that the focus was much more on sales than on the guest. The recommendation of the expensive dessert reinforced this feeling even further: the pistachio ice cream was not on the menu and probably cost (by doing the math) around €26. It's a good thing we only shared one dessert - if we had both ordered a dessert, we would have been over €50 just for the dessert. You don't even pay that much for very high-quality desserts in local star restaurants.

It was a great experience at Levantine at first. The food was really great and tasteful. The prices for the dishes are quite high though. Water charges at a high price and the wine that they suggested was extremely expensive. We felt mislead that a wine was suggested and €69 and €79 per bottle. You would not think someone just assumes this is a normal price for a wine and not give a price indication. When paying the bill we did not get to see the paper bill to check. Only after already paying we would receive the actual bill to see what prices were charged. The food is amazing, but the service is misleading and pushy.

This place is a Lebanese Wonderland in a really traditional German house.... The food is lip smacking along with the presentation and the staff... Johan really took care of us, he was very friendly and suggested the best dishes to try....

A fantastic little find right in the old town, was able to get a table without a booking. Service was fantastic, many thanks to John Kevin for his welcoming demeanor. A scholar in the hospitality field, the food was fantastic. And the decor and vibe is very warm. A great meal is to be had. Kofte was delicious and very filling. I will be back when next in the city.

You pay enormous amounts of money for average food here. There is no price/performance ratio, you feel drained at the end of the evening. It makes you wonder whether the good Google Maps reviews are actually real...

We were curious about what Liabian cuisine had to offer and became aware of the restaurant because of the positive reviews. The atmosphere was oriental (we only saw it downstairs), but we liked it. The prices make your ears flap. However, we couldn't talk openly because the waiter and staff were in close proximity. We didn't get up and have high expectations based on the prices called. Main courses include €29.90. Water €8.90, beer €5.90, Babganoush €14.90, Hugo €9.20 etc. Price-performance ratio is not justified. The food was generally tasty but we expected more. At the end we had the feeling that we had been caught in a tourist nap. Because the price was simply not in proportion...

I celebrated my birthday at Levantine in Nuremberg and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the start the service was first class - the entire team made us feel welcome and valued. The owners themselves were incredibly attentive and ensured every moment was special. You can immediately tell that they put their heart and soul into serving their guests. The food was simply indescribably good. From the starters, which were a taste explosion, to the main courses - every detail was perfectly coordinated. We were really impressed by the variety and freshness of the ingredients. I would also particularly like to highlight the loving presentation of the dishes, which took the culinary experience to another level. The atmosphere was perfectly complemented by the fantastic music, which created just the right mood for a special evening. You immediately feel at home and notice that everything has been thought through down to the smallest detail. The hosts and the entire staff were extremely friendly, professional and made the evening very special for us. Every wish was literally met with our eyes. I can highly recommend Levantine – for any type of celebration or just a relaxed evening with fantastic food and a great atmosphere. A big thank you to the entire team for this unforgettable evening!

The food in the Levatine is very tasty and the service is a 10/10, but the prices are more than outrageous. We had various starters (mezze) put together and paid €150 for the two of us. That's definitely way too much! We won't be coming back!! Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

I will always fondly remember my meals at Levantine. This Lebanese restaurant serves delicious dishes that trend toward Mediterranean style. My immediate favorable impression came from the well-tended urban garden surrounding the front door and all that followed was just as special. The warm and professional hospitality offered by Aras and his brother John makes Levantine exceptional.

Went there for dinner with the family yesterday. The dishes were all delicious and the service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is also very cozy, the toilets are very clean. All in all, a great atmosphere and a successful evening. We were definitely not there for the last time!

The food up front is outstanding! In my opinion the prices are a bit excessive, but due to the large number of ingredients it is at least somewhat understandable. We didn't know exactly what to order, so we were offered a mix of different starters. In total we ended up with 10-12 medium sized starter plates, although we were charged for 15. After a long discussion we gave up because all the plates had already been cleared and we could hardly prove it. At the risk of being accused of damaging your reputation like other negative reviews that go in a similar direction, I can only say that if 5 people all agree on the number of plates and other guests have already described similar experiences, mine I can see a certain pattern. It's a shame, it would have been a 4-5 star rating by the end.

Mega Lebanese food prepared traditionally and heartily felt like it was locally in Lebanon. The ambience is high quality and very lovingly designed. During our visit there were probably 30 guests who didn't have a seat or a reservation, which was very well attended. Very highly recommended. We were served by two Arnold Schwarzenegger guys, great guys, everyone is very nice and well-spoken.

It is not fair to charge €17 for 2 unwanted bottles of water served as soon as you sit at the table. Taboule which was a dish of parsley with a few pomegranate seeds.

A fantastic short adventure into Lebanese hospitality! Johann took us into his world right on the way to the table. Instead of looking through the menu for a long time, my colleague and I let Johann select the best warm and cold starters for us. Of course, consideration was given to my colleague as a vegetarian. The taste was exceptionally good! Our favorite was the inconspicuous mixed vegetables in tahini sauce: beware, addictive! We sat outside on the street, but it was wonderfully quiet right in the old town. Oriental music came from the shop and on the way to the toilet I was able to marvel at the lovely interior furnishings. Absolute recommendation!
