Such a cute place with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The meat fondue was so worth it. Lots of sauces and the meat quality was very good. Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, especially in the evening. The food could be improved in terms of value for money. Tagliatelle were ok, no worries for almost €21, a bit overpriced. There are also better cheese spaetzle. The Fädle soup was good and had plenty of Fädle, but unfortunately it was a bit expensive, even given the current inflationary conditions. The service was friendly, but didn't respond to our feedback, just gave us a tired smile. Too bad.

Food and drinks were good. The portion could have been a little bigger. Friendly and courteous service. Price-performance is ok - as everywhere in the catering industry it has become more expensive.

Warm setting where you feel good as soon as you enter. Pleasant welcome. The food is very good and very plentiful. The cocktails are also very good.

Food was incredible and quantities were very good! The owner - who also takes your orders and serves - is *not very nice* (I wanted to use another word but Google flagged it as inappropriaye), my girlfriend ordered in German and he was rough with her, so I let you imagine how he was with me (english-speaker). But the other servers are okay Plus: the owner will try to sell you the "mineralwasser" which costs €10, be sure to repeat to him you want the "taffelwasser", because he will 100% try to scam you! In general though: the food was incredible, and it is worth it if you are able to move past the service aspect!

It's all a question of expectation and reality. What do you expect when you pay €36.50 for a Wiener Schnitzel? Or an apple spritzer for €6.60. I expect something different than what I got.

A wonderful ambience between Christmas magic and glamour, especially at Christmas time. Food was very tasty and service was very friendly. Prices for Baden Baden normal.

If you like to wait, you can go there. 20 minutes minimum between each dish. The waiters walk past you several times without even thinking that you should be taken care of. Same cinema when it was necessary to pay. I almost left without paying and then they moved.

Went there twice, Flamkuchen were very good. But almost 10 euros for 0.75 water is borderline even for a Swiss.

If you ever think of spending your New Year's Eve in this restaurant, give it up! A 3-course menu at €95 per person which isn’t even worth €50! A correct entry, nothing more. A beef Stroganoff as a main course which reminded me of canteen stews and a cold and tasteless accompaniment! A banal and unoriginal dessert. All in an atmosphere that is anything but festive and a service that borders on friendliness! In short, we leave with the unpleasant feeling of having been taken for pigeons...

We were there at Christmas and the prices were simply exorbitant. The food was good, home-style with tk Rösti and a veal cutlet that cost €38, and a tarte flambée with a ready-made crust and a bit of salmon and rocket cost €25. Service was okay, ambience was good

OK restaurant but €9.90 per bottle of water is unfortunately dishonest

Addition to Alexandr Ch's review: But what happened shows great disrespect and indifference towards people. The fact that he has a lot of work is no excuse for his behavior! Five seconds to apologize is a given – especially for a waiter! But he ignored me and didn't pay any attention to me, even though he understood exactly what I was saying since he speaks Russian fluently! The blow was so strong and the situation was so stressful that after about 30 minutes I developed a severe headache and had difficulty driving home with my wife. If the headache doesn't go away, I'll go to the hospital tomorrow. From now on I will be telling this story everywhere and posting in all forums where restaurants are discussed! Everyone involved in the situation were employees of the restaurant. And the woman who ended up turning to other people was apparently the administrator.

Today, December 24th, 2024, my wife and I decided to drive to Baden-Baden to go for a walk in the evening. As we were standing in the square in front of your restaurant around 8 p.m., a waiter suddenly appeared with a tray and walked straight towards me. At the last moment he raised the tray over my head, walked past me and then suddenly lowered it, hitting me hard on the head with the tray! The dishes on the tray clinked and if I hadn't worn a hat I would have suffered a serious injury! I shouted to him, “What’s going on?! Be careful!”, both in Russian and German. But he didn't even turn around, didn't stop and walked into your restaurant while I shouted loudly to get his attention! But he didn't want to turn around and just walked into your restaurant. While my wife and I stood there stunned wondering what to do, after about a minute he came out of your restaurant with a tray. As he passed us, I tried to get his attention again and asked him to stop because I wanted him to apologize. But he looked at me, walked around me without stopping and entered the hotel opposite. My wife and I decided to follow him and talk to the hotel management because I have never experienced such rude and disgusting behavior in any restaurant in the world. The fact that I wasn't in the restaurant but outside in no way justifies such behavior. He knew exactly what he had done and he knew I was talking to him. The blow was strong and loud, and as he passed me I called after him loudly to get his attention. He didn't have headphones in his ears or glasses on his nose, and I saw him looking at me as he passed me. At that moment I spoke to him and tried to get his attention! When we followed him into the hotel, we found neither him nor his superior. So we decided to go to the restaurant. There we asked for someone who spoke Russian. A young woman was called and as I began to explain what had happened, the waiter who had hit me in the head appeared. Only now, when he saw me in the restaurant and understood that I hadn't just left, he apologized in Russian and said he had a lot of work. This means that he understands Russian very well and understood me perfectly when I spoke to him outside. I was very upset about this whole situation and found out that his name is Alexander. I told him that I had spoken to him twice and that his behavior was completely inappropriate, but he simply walked away. The young woman who was called to translate left the conversation, and another woman who wanted to witness the situation tried to explain something to me. But she quickly turned away and started talking to other people! I don't speak German well yet, and maybe that's why she didn't try to solve the problem further. We left the restaurant without receiving a full clarification of this situation. I'm shocked that something like this can happen in Germany, in Baden-Baden, in the middle of the city center in a restaurant. I've never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world: a waiter hits you hard on the head with a tray and doesn't even react when you speak to him, but simply walks past you. I am often in Baden-Baden, and from now on I will tell this story everywhere and write it in all forums where restaurants are discussed. I practically had to force him to apologize for the blow to the head, and even that apology was inadequate! I'm a very understanding person, and if he had just stopped to apologize to me when he hit me so hard, I would have understood.

For the price, I expected better. Certainly the atmosphere is warm but the Viennese schnitzel that I chose from the menu was far too grilled.

The place is in the very center of Baden Baden. It has a very beautiful decoration. Especially if you go during the New Year's Eve, you will find yourself in a very colorful atmosphere. The food is not bad, but I can't say it's the best snitzel I've ever eaten. We ate a bakery product with the consistency of phyllo dough, similar to pizza. It was painful, we wanted it to be painless, but there was nothing painless, so we had to say so. The side dishes that came with the main course were not bad. As I said, the atmosphere is amazing, so you can even sit down for a beer/fries.

Wir waren 6 Personen. Das Personal war soweit freundlich, aber wir mussten immer mehrmals winken bis mal jemand kam und wir was bestellen konnten. Nach dem Hauptgang wurden wir sozusagen vergessen. Wir wurden nie gefragt ob wir Nachspeise möchten und so…… das Essen war sehr gut und wir fühlten uns wohl. Einfach etwas allein gelassen. Und die eine Serviertochter gab etwas patzige Antworten……

Atmosphere was great for the holidays but the food was too expensive to be that bland and the women next to us chain smoked cigarettes the whole time making it hard to enjoy any aspect of our dining experience.

Service non souriant et expéditif. Nous avons commandé une fondue pour deux, il faut compter 37€/pp ! Ce qui est deja très cher mais a ce prix la, la fondue a intérêt à etre de bonne qualité. Que neni, une fondue est arrivée 3-4 minuté apres la commande Je ne dirais pas qu’elle etait mauvaise, mais clairement c’etait une fondue surgelée réchauffée. Assez basique et pas beaucoup de goût. Ce restaurant ressemble a un attrape touriste hors de prix. Mesdames les serveuses, souriez vous êtes évaluées, ça rendra l’expérience plus agréable pour vous clients.

Nothing special and about overpriced . We had a dinner here as no other available options . Definitely not the place to go back. Not the place for local Cuisine and if you can stay outside . inside the smell from fondue and dishes from other tables could be quite challenging.

Be careful, €9.50 for a 75cl bottle of water.

Friendly and friendly, generous portions worthy of the price

I found the food very good. I had spaetzle with a pepper cream schnitzel. I can't complain about the food.👌🏻 The interior was also nice and rustic. There was enough space for seven of us. But you should still make a reservation with so many. The food came in a reasonable time and the price/performance ratio was ok, but it was rather expensive.

Hmmmmmmm Why am I only giving three stars for the food? My food wasn't really hot. I got an apology for that. Without that, I would have only given the overall result four stars. Service, the ladies were very nice. But, my girlfriend ordered a salad with turkey breast. When “delivered” the wrong salad was delivered. That was corrected and the correct salad came out. BUT, a waitress came to the table and said and showed the note that she had written something else down. You don't do that, just be quiet. That seems unprofessional. The male waiter was far too hectic for me. I would like to spend some quiet time. I think it's expensive, but the quality is very good.

I orderen a ‘bauernomelet’ and mentioned that I can not tollerate gluten and milk. So they would make it in oil instead of butter. Turned out they did not know that cream is a milk product which they added. And put in the oven so it now also contained gluten. Thanks to this restaurant I have intense cramps and pain. And they did not let me leave without paying for it. Don’t reccomend this restaurent. The soup was also blend and not warm.

Food wasn't tasty, service wasn't friendly, the atmosphere was kitschy. But the big hit was the 0.75 liter bottle of water for €9.50!!! This is just cheeky and a rip off!!!

I would say it is a good restaurant, with very friendly service. Good food, although we didn't really like the cabbage, but we are not used to some flavors. The place is cozy and quiet. A recommendable place, without a doubt.

Good restaurant with a nice, quiet terrace. Baden dishes are tasty: the cervelas salad with fried potatoes (Badischer Wurstsalad mit Bratkartoffeln) is excellent and hearty. Discreet and attentive service.

unfortunately the food was very different. My wife's food was really worthy of 5*. My zander wasn't fresh, and I'm a fisherman's son and for many years of my life I only ate fresh, self-caught fish. The worst thing was the lobster sauce, which tasted really fishy.

Very nice restaurant, nice ambience and good food, but a bit overpriced. (probably the usual price in Baden-Baden) Given the price of almost €16 for cheese spaetzle, you would have expected freshly roasted onions and not prepackaged ones from the supermarket!

Completely overpriced, but 5 minutes after ordering you get something warmed up and a salad that has already spent a few hours in its sauce. A bottle of water costs €10… so much more.

A super nice hotel. Particularly clean and more than recommended. We come to Baden Baden often, but it was the first time in this hotel and definitely not the last time. Particularly funny and important to mention is the waitress Cordelia, she has a dry sense of humor, you could misunderstand it at first, but that's how she ticks and doesn't mean anything bad. She turned out to be extremely humorous and super funny. We had fun with her. She is really an asset to the hotel. Thank you dear Cordelia and dear team. See you next year

Had a nice lunch outside and everything we ordered was very good. Ordered the potato soup, goulash, Spatzle and pork in beer sauce and not a single miss. I think it’s the best local food we’ve had to date on our trip (3 days)

We were able to sit outside. Even though it was summer, it was cold. The fire pit next to the table helped a bit. The food tastes really good. However, I find a glass of wine for almost 10 euros very expensive. The prices for the food are reasonable. The service is very friendly.

The food was correct, but what I didn't like at all was the appearance of "kitchen miscellaneous" (cutlery?) fees (€8.70) which I have never seen in Germany before

Cozy restaurant, good food and good service!

After the horse race we were looking for a local restaurant in Baden Baden and spontaneously stopped at this restaurant because of its good location. Unfortunately, the good impression did not continue with the food and drinks. The food was brought out quite quickly, but the portions were clearly too small and the taste was absolutely nothing special - unfortunately that only applies to the price. Typically typical for Baden-Baden, but what you get in contrast is unfortunately unsatisfactory. The same applies to the beer, and finally to the entire restaurant - not recommended.

Nepper, tugboat, farmer. More does not come to my mind. It's the same house as the Löwenbräukeller (...which makes things in Bavarian). The menu is almost identical: one time it's the Baden Tafelspitz and over there it's the Munich Tafelspitz. All dishes and especially the drinks are totally overpriced in relation to the quality. My cheese spaetzle were just cream/cream spaetzle. No trace of cheese or hearty taste anywhere. I told the waitress that too and asked her to put it in the kitchen and that the chef would be happy to try it. Nothing came after that. No justification, no visit from the kitchen to the guest table, no reaction from the waitress or the service manager. It only gets two stars because of the really rustic ambience inside. Oh yes: Selling a wine spritzer in Baden for 6.50 euros is not only cheeky, but an outrage. Even if it's in the middle of Baden-Baden. Celebrities don't eat here anyway.

Es ist schwierig ein derartiges Restaurant zu bewerten weil die unterschiedlichen Eindrücke sehr stark voneinander abweichen. Bei einer Konzentration auf den Grund warum man ein Restaurant aufsucht, gutes Essen und trinken, kommt man letztlich zu einer schwachen drei von fünf. Zunächst ist das Restaurant an der Touri Meile und sticht dort mit beeindruckender schöner Dekoration hervor! Viele echte Blumen und gepflegte Teil gedeckte und dekorierte Tische- dafür könnte man sogar fünf Punkte vergeben. Der Service ist ein absoluter Tiefpunkt. Unfreundliche Begrüßung, auf das Minimum begrenzte Kommunikation, lautes diskutieren in einer anderen Sprache unter den Kollegen, vermutlich auch Witze und Flüche über die Gäste. Das der Service in einer urigen Wirtschaft unfreundlich sein muss ist wohl eine der wichtigsten Lektionen die der für die Brigade zuständige supervisor dieser beibringt. Insofern hat der Service dann auch mehr Spaß an der Arbeit und Fachkräfte sind ja bekanntlich rar! Die Karte wirkt wie in der tv Sendung wo Profi Köche eruieren warum ein Restaurant nicht läuft, diverse loose Prospekt Hüllen enthalten mit 80er Jahre farbplotter beschriftete Kladden- in vielen Fällen werden die Gerichte blumig umschrieben, unter anderen frischer Fisch und diverse wirtshausklassiker, die Spezialitäten sind überwiegend Brotzeiten. Ganz schlecht fand ich, dass es diverse Wochen Gerichte gibt die auf einer Tafel am Eingang stehen aber nicht auf der Karte, kleiner Tipp, einfach eine Prospekt Hülle mehr investieren, den Plotter anwerfen und die aktuell zusätzlichen Gerichte anpreisen- hätte gerne das Rahmschnitzel genommen aber erst am Ausgang gesehen. Dann fand ich endlich etwas worauf ich Lust hatte und zwar Schäufele was ich bestellte. Es kam in 5 Minuten. Ok Schäufele ist im Ofen und wird warm gehalten. Macht also nichts. Leider und da muss ich sagen dass man dies mit einer 0 bewerten müsste war es kein Schäufele sondern normales gepökeltes Kassler- Schäufele ist ein Stück von der Schulter mit einer Kruste und wird gebraten für etwa vier Stunden im Ofen, Kassler kann vom gleichen Stück sein, aber es wird mehrere Tage in Salzlake gepökelt und dann nur kurz warm aufgekocht. Eigentlich ist es Betrug was hier betrieben wird! Bewertet man aber die kochleistung und das erstaunlich gute frische Sauerkraut, die (nicht zum Kassler passende) Soße und die Kartoffeln so muss man doch wieder etwas zuschreiben, es hat also geschmeckt, enttäuscht war ich dennoch. Alles in allem ein durchwachsener Eindruck, ich möchte nicht gänzlich abraten aber würde nicht mehr kommen

We were there for dinner on a Saturday afternoon. Tight seating outside so that the neighboring table can easily hear. The food was OK, but nothing more, careless presentation, but the portions were well sized. What really blew us away, and of course you don't eat and drink cheaply in the middle of the pedestrian zone, were the drinks prices: a non-alcoholic Weizen for 7.30 euros, a small bitter lemon for 5.20 euros. THAT REALLY CAN'T WORK! No recommendation from us.

I ordered the Wiener schnitzel. It was very good. Everything was good about this place except for the price. It’s a bit too pricey.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. The ribs were awful - rewarmed, tasted old with a weird marinade, not to mention they were served cold. Same for french fries - fatty and tasteless. The pork was ok, but nothing special or memorable. The staff didn't feel implemented or empathic, average impersonal service. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

Essen ganz ok, Wein preislich wie auch geschmacklich top, Minerwasserflasche (0.75) für 9.50 € völlig überrissen, ist ja weder London noch Paris noch Gault Millau. Interior war speziell, beim Eingang eher rustikal, je weiter hinten man sass umso spezieller wurde es.

Erg gezellig terras om te vertoeven. Wij vonden het vooral fijn om eindelijk nog eens buiten te eten. Het eten was ok maar niet goedkoop.

I was passing through and ordered some food to take away. It was so delicious wow!!!! This was also the tastiest potato soup I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Again and again ! And it also looks really cute in the corner where the restaurant is. Very cozy.

Just finished a meal here. I had the veal Zurich and my partner the ribs. He said the ribs were ok and my veal was average. It was quite expensive but we knew that before we ordered. To go with our meal we had 2 beers and I asked for some tap water but was told that wasn't possible so was offered a bottle. We agreed to this and chose a large. To be fair we didn't think to ask what it cost. We should have. When the bill came it was 9.50 for the water.  I was unhappy with this as I had not expected that astronomical cost (remember we asked for tap water!). We expected to pay for it but not that much. When I complained I was told that was the price on the menu and I should have known how much it was, despite the fact we had given the menu back by the time I ordered it. I was also told that in Baden Baden people don't drink tap water and the manager and staff seemed shocked that I wasn't happy to pay so much for it.  I was told there was nothing that could be done and basically should just go away. We have just payed €90 for an very average meal. As a side note - just googled this water (teinacher gourmet naturelle) and found 12 bottles cost €9.50 - so that's a huge profit on each bottle. Also drinking tap water in Germany is perfectly safe. We knew it was a tourist trap when we went in but this is just way beyond making a few quid off visitors to the town. They aren't even ashamed.

Our asparagus dishes were terribly bad - mushy, unaromatic, lukewarm asparagus with disgusting potatoes were served to us for just under €30 per dish. Since our food didn't even take 5 minutes, it was clear that it couldn't be fresh. But they apparently have a problem with the freshness anyway, because the next day we had packets of cream cheese at the breakfast table that had expired almost 2 weeks ago. I'm happy to give 2 stars for the honest service, because the waitress said that she wouldn't eat the asparagus either...

Typical restaurant in the heart of Baden Baden. Traditional cuisine with excellent dishes and good value for money. Exquisite soups and main courses. Comfortable environment and friendly service. Disappointed with the dessert list. Overall I recommend it!
