Muttertag im La Société – einfach großartig 🤍 Unfassbar leckeres Essen, perfekt abgestimmte Weinbegleitung und ein unglaublich herzlicher Service. Für uns gehört das La Société ganz klar zu den allerbesten Restaurants in Köln. Es ist jedes Mal wieder eine Freude, dort zu sein!

Es war sehr angenehm, nicht gestresst und sehr familiär. Das Essen ist sehr gut abgestimmt und weis eine Struktur auf. Alles ist exzellent zubereitet und wird einen Perfect serviert. Herausheben sollte man das Personal, welches immer ihr bestes gibt um den Gästen zu helfen. Insgesamt war es das beste Kulinarische Erlebnis was ich hatte und kann es jeden weiter empfehlen.

Zu unserem Termin waren einige Tische mit Gruppen von 6 Personen besetzt, die augenscheinlich ein Geschäftsessen oder ähnliches hatten. Dort lag die Priorität auf Kommunikation, weniger auf den Genuss des sehr wertige Essens (mein persönlicher Eindruck, kann täuschen).

Ein Sterne-Restaurant auf sehr hohem Niveau. In allen Bereichen hervorragend – von der exzellenten Küche über den aufmerksamen, professionellen Service bis hin zur stimmigen Atmosphäre. Vom ersten Moment an fühlt man sich willkommen und rundum wohl – sehr herzlich. Ein außergewöhnliches kulinarisches Erlebnis.

Der einzigste Nachteil war, die kälte wenn die Eingangstür aufging. Dadurch brauchte der Raum lange bis er warm wurde.

Essen war sehr gut - leider war es sehr kalt und zugig während des Aufenthaltes und wir sassen an der Heizung.

Our evening here was a truly special experience. Not only did each course offer us new, diverse, and multifaceted arrangements on our plates, a magnificent feast for the eyes, but this culinary delight was also expertly complemented by a superb wine pairing. Such a wonderful interplay is rare and will remain a lasting memory. The cuisine was top-notch, and the service was consistently excellent, yet always pleasantly refined. We felt very comfortable here. The description of how carefully and imaginatively the non-alcoholic food pairings are prepared and executed demonstrates considerable expertise and up-to-date knowledge. Bravo, and thank you again to everyone who contributed to the success of this unforgettable evening. Reservations are absolutely essential here, especially given the limited seating.

As soon as we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were seated at a beautiful window seat, overlooking the lively hustle and bustle outside and enjoying a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Everything else that seems important receded into the distance – and all that remained was this feeling: Right now, right here, everything is simply good. From the first to the last course, the menu was a true experience. Each plate was creative, perfectly balanced, and tastefully outstanding. No sooner had we thought, "This course is our favorite," than the next one arrived and surpassed everything else. I had the wine pairing with the menu and was absolutely thrilled – with the selection, the presentation, and the perfect match for the dishes. My wife chose the non-alcoholic accompaniment, which was put together with love and creativity – the ginger beer in particular was a real highlight. The entire team was incredibly warm, attentive, and authentic. The conversation with Leon Hofmockel himself was also particularly enjoyable – personable, down-to-earth, and genuinely passionate about his craft. An evening full of enjoyment, joy, and hospitality – one of those rare places where everything just fits. We'll definitely be back!

Wir sind mit 6 Personen dort gewesen und es war hervorragend. Das Essen und der Service super klasse. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefuehlt und kommen sicher bald wieder. Wir hatten einen Vegetarier in der Gruppe und es gab auch hier ein tolles Menü.

It's simply delicious! The flavors, the combinations. The dishes are also very well explained. The star is more than deserved. Otherwise, the welcome, the service, the helpfulness: it's all there! The restaurant is located on a street slightly off the city center. Easy access by public transport and taxi. So you won't have a beautiful view. The interior ambiance resembles a completely classic restaurant, without fuss. BUT the important thing is in the food, and I can only warmly recommend it. To the question "would I go back?", the answer is definitely yes!

Wir drei waren sehr zufrieden und hatten einen wunderbaren Mittag. Für unseren Sohn war es das 1. Mal und sein individueller Wunsch bei einem Gericht wurde unproblematisch berücksichtigt. Das Menü war sehr lecker und stimmig, der Aperitif Maison phantastisch und der Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Gern wieder!

Das Ambiente, der Service und das Essen waren wirklich herausragend. Es wurde sehr individuell auf Wünsche eingegangen und das Restaurant vermittelt eine gemütliche Atmosphäre, die eher an ein Familienrestaurant als an sterile Sterneküche erinnert. Absolute Empfehlung.

French inspired, but fairly contemporary 1-star restaurant. Very strong menu using a lot of great product. Overall great experience. The tuna with caviar was amazing, worth getting it as an extra (one portion is enough for two). Nice wine selection and good service. The place itself is ok but not amazing. Nevertheless, very recommended.

My wife and I visited the restaurant again on May 23rd after a long break. We completely agreed: From the very beginning, everything was just perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive—in short, there was absolutely nothing to criticize. Plus, the price/performance ratio was very good.

An ABSOLUTE recommendation. Sensational food, a great ambiance, and an incredibly friendly and competent team. We'll be back! The restaurant strikes the perfect balance in every respect. The food combines traditional recipes with modern and clever innovations. The ambiance is sophisticated without being stuffy. The staff is competent and professional without being impersonal. 7 Gänge und alle äußerst schmackhaft bei durchaus überraschenden Noten, die man auch erhofft auch diesem Niveau. Dies galt gleichermaßen für die Weinbegleitung. Der Service hatte das rechte Maß an Professionalität und Empathie. Wir durften uns wie Freunde des Hauses fühlen. Einen erheblichen Anteil hieran hatte die nette Italienerin im Service.

What an incredible lunch! Food which was inventive, complex yet simple, and generally a party for the eyes and the mouth. There is nothing that beats a delicious meal accompanied by amazing wine combinations. But not only the chef should be complimented, being served by 2 amazing woman which were passioned and knew what they were selling. Well done! I will be back :)

2025: Yesterday we went to La Société again for a special occasion - just to try it again. And we were very positively surprised. Fine and creative menu and very, very friendly service. Especially Stefania. She is so warm and natural. And looking ahead, something pulled on the door and she brought me a blanket. Super attentive. We will definitely come back. And this time we were full too. 😂 2022: Bit of a shame... It is no longer what it was before the renovation... Yesterday we were guests there for the first time since it reopened. As we expected, the food was excellent as always and the service from the staff was exceptional. However, there are two things we want to get rid of. Short and sweet: On the one hand: it's missing that certain something - what previously made La Société so special. Unfortunately, some of the bells and whistles are missing. Now it seems cool and somehow interchangeable – before it was unique. Such a shame! Secondly: you know how the portions in such elegant restaurants are very small... But now there's even less on the plate! And less than little is not enough... Too bad. Overall, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. PS: and what we definitely missed is: the Cologne cover. For heaven's sake - you can't "scratch" that!!!

The visit to La Société was a positive surprise, which was mainly due to the attentive service staff. The great attention we received ensured that we felt completely comfortable and cared for. The flavors of each dish were so impressive that I'm sure this won't be our last visit.

Visiting La Société was a great experience! I chose the vegetarian menu and got my money's worth. The service is very attentive and answers any questions about the menus and the preparation of the dishes. In my perception, all courses had a taste development of umani, bitter, sweet and salty. The interaction of cold in the form of sherbet and heat was also a taste experience for me that I have only experienced in the two-star kitchen so far. All in all, it was a successful evening that will certainly keep me busy for a few days afterwards. Many thanks to the service and kitchen team :)

Der Besuch im La Société war eine positive Überraschung, die vor allem dem aufmerksamen Servicepersonal zu verdanken war. Die große Aufmerksamkeit, die man uns entgegenbrachte, sorgte dafür, dass wir uns rundum wohl und umsorgt fühlten. Die Geschmacksrichtungen der einzelnen Gerichte waren so eindrucksvoll, dass ich mir sicher bin, dass dies nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein wird.

Today's visit was a disappointment, for a 70 euro menu there was no greeting from the kitchen and not even a biscuit with coffee, the meat was tough and stringy and the non-alcoholic drink 0.1 consisted of a sip of pear juice and a sip of tonic with a thick ice cube for 13 euros... I won't be coming back, the place, a disappointment, with dried flowers on the counter...

Everything is just perfect here! From the warm welcome and service, the great sommelier who poured us great wines, the cozy atmosphere, to the sensational food - a wonderful evening! Every course was excellent. Chef Leon Hofmockel even took the time to show us the kitchen and the pass. Really a great experience! Actually, one Michelin star is not enough for what you get here. We keep our fingers crossed for a second one and would love to come back!

Fantastic experience. From start to finish, we enjoyed the multi course tasting menu. All dishes were great. Service is knowledgeable and kind. They even dealt in a very professional way with two extremely annoying patrons which complained about just everything.

Hier wird mit Herz und Liebe gekocht. Die uns präsentierten Speisen waren die Besten, die wir die letzten 2 - 3 Jahre gegessen haben. Diesen Geschmack zu steigern geht fast gar nicht. Das Team hat einen super Job hingelegt.

We just had lunch at La Société and it was excellent. It's easy to get confused because of the location, as this culinary gem is right in the middle of one of the city's party miles My wife had the (weekly) changing lunch menu and I was able to enjoy fish soup and tartare. All dishes were delicious. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, so we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Next time we'll come in the evening, but lunch was brilliant for “testing”. The star ⭐️ is absolutely deserved 😊

Man spürt die Leidenschaft und das Können des Küchenchefs in jedem Bissen. Das familiäre Ambiente und der perfekte Service schaffen eine Atmosphäre, die den Abend zu etwas ganz Besonderem macht. Es fühlte sich an, als wären wir bei guten Freunden zu Gast. Wir waren restlos begeistert und können das La Societe nur wärmstens empfehlen!

What an ultimate dining experience! 👍👍👍👍👍 We were swimming in satisfaction. Thank You! Our table for three was cozy and comfortable, the white tablecloths were beautifully starched; hard (like they should be) and the feeling in the room was sprinkled with excitement in anticipation for a culinary adventure. With each course, we experienced the chefs exquisite creations. What a talented artist who can compose aesthetically presented dishes with harmonious and sumptuous flavors (and with sometimes a crunchy surprise). Needless to say, we generously explored the wine list making the evening a joyous celebration. Nils, Michelle and Greta made us feel well taken care of without stuffiness or pretentiousness. This is for me a TOP address in Köln and beats other Michelin restaurants with 5 Open Table stars across the board.

It was a very successful evening full of sociability. The service, Nils, was super personable and gave us great advice and support through our culinary journey from chef Leon. The menu and wine selection were really great!

Dieses Restaurant ist unser Lieblingsrestaurant seit vielen Jahren. Der Zauberer am Herd seit 2021, Leon Hofmockel steht seinen Vorgängern in nichts nach - im Gegenteil! Jeder hervorragende Gang fügt sich passend an den vorherigen, der Stil bleibt immer erkennbar, dennoch wird Abwechslung geboten. Essen ist Geschmackssache, unser Geschmack wird hier hundertprozentig getroffen - besser geht es aus unserer Sicht nicht! Wer feine, aromatische, international inspirierte Küche auf höchstem Niveau mag, die Kontraste fein nuanciert verbindet und auch mit Konsistenzen und Temperaturen spielt, i(s)st hier am richtigen Ort. Die Weinbegleitung können wir auch sehr empfehlen. Danke auch an das warmherzige und kompetente Service-Team für den wunderbaren Abend! (Keine Interessenskonflikte vorhanden ;-)

Wie erreicht man das Restaurant per Mail? Habe noch eine Anmerkung zu unserer letzten Reservierung. Vielen Dank für eine kurze Rückmeldung. Update 22.01.2025: Bis zum heutigen Tage keinerlei Rückmeldung vom Restaurant! Es gab eine Buchung mit festgelegten Speisen und Getränken; vor Ort wurde diese jedoch -trotz Nachfrage noch im Restaurant - nicht eingehalten. Ein perfekter Service und echte Gastfreundschaft sieht wohl anders aus. Ich habe daher meine positive Bewertung korrigiert.

Die Societe in Köln ist ein sehr nettes, relativ kleines Restaurant mit einem sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Das Essen war hervorragend, ebenso die Weinbegleitung dazu.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, das Essen war excellent, der Service aufmerksam und umsichtig. Neben uns war eine von mehreren Herren, die dann lauter wurden. Aber das war noch im Rahmen. Selten so gut in Köln gegessen , ein großes Lob

What a magnificent experience in the middle of this run-down district! It's just nice that you can dine here on Mondays. - Super friendly welcome, the lunch menu was a poem, which we complemented with delicious sardines on fennel cream and bread. A great harmony of raw marinated sea bass on shaved fennel, with tomato bouillon with drops of coriander and crustacean oil, then delicious pigeon breast on juicy, creamy, slightly firm beluga lentils and braised romaine lettuce, and finally a dream of passion fruit ice cream, coconut foam, apple-mint sorbet and Coriander oil. We have rarely eaten so well and creatively in Cologne in recent months. Nice wine list. Reasonable prices considering the extraordinary quality. Thank you for the very friendly, attentive service. Pleasant restaurant with excellent cuisine. However, the course of saddle of venison with goose liver was not my cup of tea. The goose fat was too dominant and the taste of the (tiny) saddle of venison didn't come through. The other courses were all very aromatic and tasty. Norwegian scallop, Icelandic cod, XO carrot, passion fruit.

We had a great evening here. The atmosphere is very nice, the music was great! Not too loud and a good mix. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable about food & wine. The food was to die for. We asked for a vegan menu over the phone, which was implemented really well. My personal highlight was the carrot sorbet. But all the courses were so full of different flavors, it was really impressive. I would definitely come back!

There is only one menu without any indication on the website - customer eat or die, nor is there a price indication for the menu. The wines are only offered as whole bottles on the menu, there is no indication that you can also order by the glass and of course there is no price information for glasses. We didn't think it was okay. The food was good, not too much and not too little, as was the service (although I could also refill myself from the bottle available at the table).

Einfach nur wunderbar. Wir waren zu zweit zum Mittagessen an einem Sonntag da, und haben die gemütliche Atmosphäre in dem freundlich, modern eingerichteten Lokal bei absolut köstlichen Essen genossen. Von der Gänseleber hinweg, über das Reh, bis hin zum Apfel-Shizu Sorbet, war alles wunderbar abgeschmeckt, stimmig und frisch. Die Portionen sind großzügig. Als wir zusätzlich zum Lunch-Menü die Gänseleberterrine bestellt haben, wurde uns angeraten diese zu teilen und bereits auf zwei Tellern serviert. Absolut fantastisch. Der fröhliche Sommelier empfahl uns dazu die passenden Weine und selbstgebrautes Ingwer-Bier. Highlight war der Chefkoch, der persönlich auch serviert und die Gänge annonciert hat. Vielen Dank!
