Fantastic restaurant with good service and excellent food!

A wonderful Tuesday evening with a really successful menu including very good wine accompaniment, excellent service in a really attractive (although quite 'small') location. Have a final drink in the courtyard and watch the hard-working cooks, including the 'boss'. Not 'aloof', but very professional. We will be back. Thanks for the lovely evening, especially to Davide and his colleague and the entire service team.

We enjoyed the Wednesday menu and are thrilled. Attentive, very friendly service. Great dishes, starting with the great starter platter, the subtly spicy Shakshuka as an intermediate course, a really great, tender and very tasty veal fillet and a crowning dessert. A sensational experience. “Delicious food” doesn’t describe it nearly well enough. A journey through the Meze world with great attention to detail. In addition, a wonderful ambience and very good and friendly service. I can't forgive the 6th 🌟 here. It's deserved!👍👍👍

Four of us were there some time ago and unfortunately disappointed with the experience. The appetizer platter was nicely presented, but the dips were rather simple. The main courses were too salty and even though they were premium materials (meat and fish) they were unfortunately ruined by the sauces. This was a real shame as you could hardly perceive and appreciate the taste of the meat or fish... I personally did my best to save the meat from the sauce. We were really looking forward to this dinner but, as I said, we left the restaurant disappointed. It wasn't the special experience we were expecting and really wasn't worth it for the price. The only "recommended" thing was the starter plate but you can get it cheaper in other restaurants as the materials aren't particularly expensive. We do not recommend this restaurant also because the price is not appropriate for the quality of the food and wine. We spent €350 for 4 people and had very little wine consumption. The waiters were a bit hassled at times about refilling the drink. Two of us had actually planned to invite more friends to the restaurant for our birthdays but changed our plans after our experience.

There were eight of us as guests and we were blown away by this great restaurant. The furnishings, the service and above all the food are first class! One taste explosion after another awaited us. We had a wonderful evening and would like to say a huge thank you for this great experience. A recommendation for everyone who appreciates something special. We will definitely be back soon!

We were there for the first time yesterday and the impression after the visit was rather ambivalent. The quality of the various mezze was good, although the selection was not very unusual. Some Persians 'around the corner' can do this much better. The main course, lamb kebab, was unfortunately overcooked. The recommended Lebanese wines from the Bekaa Valley tasted very good and went perfectly with the food. What doesn't fit at all in my opinion is the price level and the lack of the ability to put together your own mezze selection. 79,- p.p. plus drinks are not appropriate for what is offered.

Redeeming a “Friends Gift Meal” in Julia Komp’s “YU*LIA” Mezze Bar with our friends. We were at “Sahila” next door shortly after it opened. (see previous article). Conclusion here too: Pleasant atmosphere, professional, attentive, friendly and very nice service. Very tasty food, aromatic, well seasoned and presented with an authentic international flair. Quite excellent. An unforgettable culinary evening with a very tasty Israeli white wine that “invites” you to repeat it.

We visited the lovely Mezze Bar as a family. The food was very tasty, beautifully presented, and the wine and other drinks were very appropriate. The service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the information provided by the service about allergens/intolerances in the food was not clear and was sometimes incorrect. We were given misleading information about the products used, which had a negative impact on our stay. In my opinion, this is unacceptable in a Michelin-starred kitchen. That's why I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for anyone with food allergies or food intolerances.

Wir durften letzte Woche zu Gast in Yulia´s Mezze Bar sein. Wunderbarer Abend in ungezwungener Atmosphere...tolles Serviceteam und jeder Gang eröffnet eine neue Geschmackswelt. Gerade die Vorspeisen zum Teilen machen Freude! Jetzt hoffen wir auch einmal einen Tischm im Gourmetlokal nebenan zu bekommen...leider schon lange Warteliste.

Great restaurant with an oriental touch in downtown Cologne. The mezze are certainly the highlight: creative, coordinated, fresh and delicious. The main course (poularde for us) was also in no way inferior. The team is service-oriented, competent and friendly. Price/performance ratio is very good - especially in comparison with starred restaurants. Addition Dec. 23: A poem even at Christmas time! See the dessert. Full recommendation.

We had dinner at Mezze Bar last night with a group of 6 people. The standard menu was served. Plus wines from the wine list. My impression: a lot of show and unfortunately little held. Unfortunately there was no sign of any oriental spice fireworks. All in all, inconsequential cuisine at a very high price. We spent 140 euros per nose, with moderate wine consumption. The shop and the owner are very hyped, hopefully it doesn't backfire.

Superb. We had no booking. Lovely Anna and her colleague gave us a table at our time request. Service is impeccable from the moment you walk in the door, warm, welcoming and smiling service. The chef was in and appeared to a table during service. The mezze is a spectacular of amazing and tantalising small bites. The lamb is absolutely delicious. Wine, a German chardonnay was lovely, as we're the German sparking bubbles and hazelnut schnapps. Dessert and small cake treats at the end were sublime. Thank you so much yo everyone for a memorable night and we will be back to you from Ireland again.

Phantastisches Essen, tolles Menü, exzellenter Service, alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Und in derYulia Mezze Bar wird auch das Saliha-Menü serviert.

So richtig verstehe ich die Kritiken hier nicht, ich zumindest meine, den Mix aus orientalisch und mediterran verstanden zu haben. Ich finde auch die Terrasse prima - wen stört denn bitte das Schwimmbad? Aber zum Essen. Die Mezze Platte ist reichlich. Und lecker. Beim Hauptgang haben wir ein Bisschen gemixt, hatten die Carabineros (exzellent), den Catch of the Day, die Lammhaxe und auch das Kebab vom Kalbsfilet, also eine ziemlich komplette Tour durch die Speisekarte und es war wirklich alles sehr, sehr lecker. Die Pause zwischen der Mezze-Platte und der Hauptspeise war lang, aber angemessen. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Wir haben an dem Abend ein bestandenes Abitur gefeiert und hatten eine rundum gelungene Veranstaltung. Also bitte Leute, lasst euch mal auf Konzepte ein und geht da hin. Es lohnt sich.

Auch bei unserem zweiten Besuch waren wir geflasht. Das Essen war sensationell lecker und toll präsentiert. Es gab nichts, aber auch gar nichts zu bemängeln. Die zwei Beiden im Service sind absolut liebenswert und freundlich. Tolle Personen, tolles Personal. Freundlicherweise signierte uns Julia Komp unser Kochbuch. Eine sympathische Frau, die mit verdientem Michelin Stern bodenständig ist.

Der Besuch in der Yulia Mezze Bar war ein schönes Erlebnis. Wir waren zum Mittagstisch dort und haben draußen auf der Terrasse gesessen. Das Ambiente drinnen wie draußen ist sehr fein und mit orientalischen Details abgestimmt. Der Service war stets aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Die Atmosphäre war absolut entspannt und friedvoll. Gestartet haben wir mit einer Reise durch eine sehr schmackhafte Auswahl an vorderasiatischen Vorspeisen. Bitte unbedingt bestellen. Es lohnt sich. Als Menü stand ein Zwei- oder Viergangmenü zur Auswahl. Wir entschieden uns für das Vier-Gänge-Programm. Die Mezze-Reise bildete den ersten Gang. Anschließend kam eine erfrischend kühle Melonensuppe wie gerufen bei den heißen Temperaturen. Sie war sehr leicht und wurde mit Schafskäse begleitet. Den Hauptgang bildete ein Kalbs-Kebab mit feinem Bulgur auf verschiedenen Saucen und einem Löffelsalat. Das Kalb und die Saucen waren sehr gut. Leider bin ich absolut kein Bulgurfan. So dass ich hier eigentlich für mich einen Punkt anziehe. Das Dessert war ein türkischer Waldspaziergang mit einem sehr leichten Kuchen wie ein Hauch von Watte gekrönt mit einem sehr feinen Melonensorbet. Der Rosen-Pannacotta-Keks als Verabschiedsgruß war einfach ein schöner Abschluss. Alles in allem ein schönes Geschmackserlebnis durch den Orient. Vielen Dank ans gesamte Haus 🫶🏻

Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service kombiniert mit leckeren und vielfältigen Speisen. Es war nicht unser letzter Besuch!!!

Ein fantastischer Ort, Personal war sehr freundlich. Es wurden die Vorspeisen Platten identisch auf den Tisch gestellt und dann erklärt was drauf ist. Sämtliche Speisen waren sehr lecker. Zum Ende hin kam Chefin und erkundigte sich und konnte sämtliche Fragen beantworten was einen professionellen Eindruck hinterlassen hat.

Wir hatten einen ganz fantastischen Abend. Es passte einfach alles. Mehr geht nicht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Geboten wurde ein abwechslungsreiches Crossover mit orientalischer Ausrichtung. Zwei Menus waren im Angebot, die sich aber weitgehend überschnitten. Beim Mezze-Menu gab es zunächst viele kleine Schälchen und Tellerchen in zwei Abteilungen mit überwiegend pflanzlichen Bestandteilen, abwechslungsreich und lecker. (Lau-) warm waren drei Tellerchen mit gedämpften Fischbällchen (sehr gut), zartem Oktopus und einer Art gefüllten Krokette, die Köfte genannt wurde. Eine nachfolgende Gemüsesuppe war schon sehr einfach, schmeckte aber auch. Leider war der Hauptgang danach eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. In einer Tajine waren trockene Teile von der Maispoularde mit sehr dürftiger Beilage angerichtet (nicht zubereitet). Da der Produkteinsatz wertmäßig niedrig zu veranschlagen ist, könnten preisbewusste Zeitgenossen auf die Idee verfallen, dass es mit 69,- €/Menu schon zu teuer ist. Entsprechende Bedenken ließen sich bei dem - allerdings ambitionierten - Weinangebot anmelden. Einfaches, aber ansprechendes Ambiente, ziemlich enge Tischstellung, sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service.

Sehr liebevoll gepflegtes Restaurant. Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal, was auf alle Wünsche eingeht. Sehr gute Beratung bei der Weinwahl. Das Essen ist mega lecker, extrem schön und liebevoll angerichtet. Sehr ruhiges Ambiente, obwohl viel Betrieb war. Ein echter Geheimtipp in Köln. Sehr sympathische Chefin, die sich sogar den Gästen trotz viel Stress noch widmen kann. Wenn man sich etwas gutes tun möchte, ist das genau die richtige Adresse. Sehr, sehr gutes Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis, jeder Zeit wieder. Nach unserer Meinung kann man für dieses Restaurant auch mal 500 Km fahren, wie in unserem Fall.

Köstliche Mezze, liebevoll angerichtet, aromatisch vielfältig und sehr ausgewogen. Die Portionen sind groß - und ich bin eim guter Esser 😉 Texturen von crunchy bis cremig, Geschmack von rauchig bis frisch, beste Zutaten, sehr gute Getränkeauswahl. Der Service ist perfekt: freundlich, aufmerksam, unaufdringlich, humorvoll. Unbedingte Empfehlung! Danke, YuLia und Team!

Wir haben uns hier sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt! Essen exzellent und gut aufeinander abgestimmt! Wir hatten das Mezze Menü mit verschiedenen Vorspeisen, einem Zwischengang, zwei Hauptspeisen und einem Nachtisch. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Toller Service, nettes Show-Essen, allerdings wo sind den die Gewürze geblieben? Viele Mezze sehr neutral. Preise waren dagegen gewürzt. Schade, ansonsten wäre es ein tolles Restaurant. Allerdings natürlich weit entfernt von einer Sterneküche, aus der ja die Gerichte kommen.

Sensationell! Ich weiß nicht wie ich in Worte meine Begeisterung ausdrücken kann. Wir waren heute um 12 Uhr vor Ort. Der Service war einfach super. Das local ist ganz schnuckelig und das Essen ist eine Sensation. Wir waren bereits im Waldhotel Sonora. Vendome in Bensberg und Überfahrt in Bayern…. aus meiner Sicht, habe ich bei keinem der drei so gut gegessen wie heute. Und die sind schon klasse… Aber heute habt ihr 2 große Fans gewonnen. Es war ein wunderschöner Abend mit einen tollen und sehr aufmerksamen Service. Besonders die Mezzeplatte war ein Gedicht. Abgerundet mit dem besten Cheesecake, den ich je kosten durfte. Als Highlight bekam ich dann noch den passenden Degistif (Orangenbrand) dazu. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!

Das Essen ist abwechslungsreich, könnte aber teilweise mehr Würzung vertragen, Mix aus Klassikern und unbekannten Elementen, Hauptgang sehr kleine Portionen, Highlight war der Dessert, die Getränke sind überteuert, aufmerksamer Service, durch die Enge wird es schnell wuselig und laut, die Tische stehen eng zusammen, Größte Enttäuschung ist das Ambiente, sehr nüchtern und farblos, wie aus einem billig Dekoladen, kaum Bezug zur Herkunft der Gerichte.

Ein wunderbsres, Essen: die Vorspeisen Platte überzeugte mit einer opulenten Vielfalt von leckern nordafrikanisch angehaucheten Salat-, Muss- und Fritaten-Varianten; der Hauptgang - etwas übersichtlich - begeisterte mit zwei Flanksteakstreifen, einer super Soße und Beilagen. Der Service war sehr gut sowohl in der Beratung als auch in derGästebetreuung. Das Ambiente innen passte im wesentlichen, aber der Raum ist akustisch eine Katastrophe. Bei vollster Besetzung leider zu eng und zu laut. Julia Komp erwies sich dennoch als eine sehr gute Gastgeberin und sschenkte Zeit für jeden Tisch. Ein Must Do in Köln.

Service top, Ladenlokal angenehm. Die gefüllte Tomate: :/ warum zarten couscous oder bulgur, wenn auch grober geht?! Das Wasser der Tomate hat leider leider die Konsistenz zerstört. Es fehlt an Chilli/spice auf dem Tischchen nach Gusto. Der Hummus war auch nicht das „yellow from se egg“. :) Brot lecker, leider nicht aus dem Orient. Der Wein zu 0,1 L für 8€ ist … 0,2 L für den Preis wären angemessener gewesen. Dennoch ein schöner Abend mit nicem Ambiente.. schöne Erinnerung.
