Excellent service and delicious food. But most importantly: always incredibly friendly, warm, and pleasant! And not just on occasional days, but consistently!

We were there last night with four people, three of whom have celiac disease. It was our first visit. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere very cozy, and the service was excellent. The selection of gluten-free food was unbeatable; almost everything was available, even the tiramisu. The food was so delicious and homemade with so much love. Not fast food at all. Even though we have a long way to travel, we'll be back! :) Thank you so much for the unforgettable evening! ❤️

Very tight space for strollers (call in advance and ask, they will try to acomodate you the best they can), some steps right after the entrance door. Would require help if you come with a wheelchair.

This is honestly my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. The pizzas and pastas are always delicious, and they even offer gluten-free options, including for desserts, which is amazing! The place is a bit small, but that makes it really cosy. In summer, you can also dine outside, which is lovely. It’s best to reserve in advance because it gets busy, but it’s absolutely worth it. The staff and the owner are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended! 🙌

A small Italian restaurant with fantastic food, and they even offer gluten-free options! I found the restaurant online because they also offer gluten-free dishes. We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered. We immediately felt at ease. The restaurant has an almost living-room feel and is very cozy. The daily specials were fantastic; I would have loved to try everything. But since it's quite special for someone with celiac disease to be able to simply order bruschetta, lasagna, pizza, and tiramisu, we opted for those dishes. Everything was incredibly delicious; the pizza à la tecca was the best gluten-free pizza ever! My friends don't have to eat gluten-free and were also very impressed. If you plan to stay a while, you should reserve a table for 8 p.m., because you can easily spend a lot of time in this restaurant ;) If I'm ever in Cologne again, I'll definitely be back!!

The kitchen worker at the oven urgently needs to trim his fingernails, which are visibly dirty! I'm disgusted by my pizza after seeing the appalling hygiene with which it was prepared!

Especially for those with celiac disease, this restaurant is a true blessing. You walk in, are immediately shown to a table, and asked if everything is alright. You're also informed that everything is available gluten-free. I was initially seated alone in an inconvenient spot, but was promptly moved. In my opinion, the owner deserves more than 5 stars ✨

This was an overall excellent experience! My friend and I reserved a table on a Saturday night, we had my friend's smaller dog with us as well. No problem whatsoever. The waitress even brought water for the doggy. The restaurant itself is fairly small and offers a cozy living room atmosphere with the bar and the pizza oven integrated. Service was top. Food was amazing. Timing perfect as well. I am celiac and have never had such a good gluten free pizza or tiramisu in Germany. And gluten free Bitburger beer! I did not have any stomach problems afterwards either. Chef is very attentive, celiac himself, went around asking how we liked it and we had a nice chat after dinner and got some very tasty limoncello as a digestive. I recently spent some time for work in Italy and I felt like I was transported back there for the night. Truly authentic place and fair pricing as well. Will definitely come back!

Almost everything here can be prepared gluten-free and celiac-friendly. For my starter, I had gluten-free bruschetta. For the main course, I had a pizza topped exactly how I wanted it, and the tiramisu for dessert was super delicious and not too sweet. Thank you so much for that. I wish more restaurants offered "gluten-free" options for people with celiac disease, so we too could eat out more often.

After the closure of arguably the best gluten-free Italian restaurant in Cologne, Mimmo u Santo, we were looking for a new place. Based on the good reviews, we eagerly reserved a table at La Teca. Upon arrival, however, we were rather rudely informed that we would have to wait if we wanted to sit outside. When I explained that we had a reservation inside, they simply told us we could "sit anywhere." No sooner said than done – but the waitress's first information was that payment was only accepted in cash (welcome to 2025). A reminder of this when making the phone reservation would have been helpful. So I had to walk for 20 minutes through the Südstadt district in 25°C heat to withdraw cash from a gas station ATM for a fee of €4.99. When I returned, my wife was suddenly sitting at a different table, since "sitting anywhere" wasn't what she meant after all. My "regular" pizza was average at best, a bit soggy in places – I've had much better. My wife's gluten-free pizza, on the other hand, was fine. The service seemed rather bored overall, and even the final apology and bottle of red wine couldn't salvage the impression. Conclusion: Overall, disappointing, and no reason for us to return to Südstadt.

Today was my first visit to this restaurant. Five of us were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I've rarely felt so comfortable; we received a very warm welcome from Eros and his team. This restaurant is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I know. From the appetizer to the main course and dessert to the drinks, everything was simply top-notch. The service was also excellent. It's especially worth mentioning that the restaurant is also a must-visit for people with gluten intolerance, as the staff is familiar with celiac disease. Hello everyone, We went out to eat as a family today and were absolutely thrilled! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted so warmly by the chef that we immediately felt at home. The service was simply perfectly attentive, friendly, and welcoming – 10/10 for that! The food was wonderfully fresh, incredibly delicious, and with a great selection of gluten-free dishes, which is especially important to us. It's rare to be able to eat gluten-free so carefree and enjoyably – here, that was absolutely possible. The value for money is also absolutely spot on. I simply ate the world's best gluten-free pizza at La Teca, and the flavor is so amazing that you'd almost forget it's gluten-free. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality – you can tell from the first bite, and I don't even need to start with the staff… super, super sweet and friendly! ✨ La Teca, Cologne Südstadt ✨ Gluten-free heaven on earth 🙌🍕🍝 Super friendly team, cozy atmosphere with a lovely outdoor area – and simply a dream for us celiacs: top-notch gluten-free pizza & pasta options. 😍 Of course, there's a full menu for all the "normal" people too. I immediately treated myself to four pizzas – one for dinner, three for the freezer. A little tip: Reheating them is easy and tastes like freshly baked 🔥👌 ➡️ For me, this is the first address in Cologne when it comes to gluten-free takeaway. I'm happy to take the 30-minute drive for that. 🚗💨

Our visit to La Teca deserves a five-star rating throughout. The food, from appetizers to dessert, was absolutely delicious. It was the best pizza we've ever eaten. Almost all dishes are available gluten-free for a small surcharge. The food tasted good, the prices were fair, and the location is great, even for a short stroll through the Volkspark after dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive, and there was always someone looking after you. All in all, we were very satisfied.

As being coeliac there are very few options in Köln but this restaurant is amazing. I felt safe, coeliac completely understood and the gluten free pizza and tiramisu was delicious.(The pizza is some of the best gluten free pizza I have had).Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The evening at La Teca was like a southern escape. You sit very relaxed under large trees. The service is super friendly, but not overly so, just very natural. The food came quickly and with a smile, and we enjoyed it very, very much. With a sip of wine, you'd think your vacation had already begun. We were visiting friends. Since eating out is never easy with celiac disease, we visited this pizzeria on a recommendation. We were greeted warmly by the waiter, who assured us that everything was gluten-free and prepared separately. They also offer gluten-free beer and tiramisu for dessert. The service was excellent; the drinks we ordered arrived very quickly. The pizzas were generously topped and very filling. Each pizza came with a small bowl of garlic and chili oil so we could adjust the spice and intensity to our liking. The extra charge for the gluten-free version was also perfectly reasonable. An absolute recommendation if you're in Cologne, whether you have celiac disease or not.

La Teca is a true gem for gluten-free dining. The food is outstanding — I devoured two main courses (a delicious ham and mushroom pizza and a rich, perfectly cooked salmon pasta), both absolutely delightful. Eros, our fantastic host, shared that he’s a coeliac himself, which explains the care and quality behind the gluten-free options. This was easily one of the best gluten-free meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Super delicious pizza (including the gluten-free option) and friendly service! (Note: Cash only!) We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation because of the good reviews. We were immediately told we'd have to wait about 30 minutes for a table. After exactly 30 minutes, the nice table on the pleasant terrace was ready. We waited another 30 minutes for the pizzas. The place was completely packed, but the servers were still very friendly and up for a joke. Later in the evening, the service seemed a bit sluggish. Our second round of drinks was forgotten, and the servers spent more time inside (presumably cleaning up). However, the drinks were listed on the bill. However, when we pointed this out, we were immediately brought a new bill without the unconsumed drinks. Unfortunately, it wasn't until then that we were informed for the first time that only cash payments were accepted. I then had to run to a kiosk to get some money. When it came to paying, I was completely surprised. The waiter simply gave us a bottle of white wine to make up for forgetting our drinks. We're tourists and only here for two nights, so he might not care, or even just an apology would have been enough. So, in conclusion: very tasty pizza among friendly people! If we're ever in Cologne again, we'll come back here!

A fantastic restaurant with Italian flair! You feel like you're in Italy! The service is so friendly and flexible with special requests. If I waited 10 minutes (before the agreed-upon reservation time), I was given free drinks. A thoughtful touch: I was served gluten-free bread for the spread with the house starter. The (gluten-free) pasta with a double portion of asparagus (instead of salmon) was absolutely delicious. Gluten-free tarts were available for dessert. The regular dishes were also delicious!

Nettes Ambiente und leckeres, authentisches, italienisches Essen. Lediglich die tagliatelle mit vongole (statt Spaghetti) waren leicht über den Garpunkt aber der gute Geschmack hat es wieder ausgeglichen. Wir waren zu dritt und jeder war sehr zufrieden. Hervorzuheben wäre auch die nette Bedienung, die trotz voller Terasse alles bestens gemeistert hat. Alles in einem ein wunderschöner Abend. Wir werden wiederkommen.
