We went to Gutierrez with a group of 10 people and had a fantastic evening! The tapas were excellent, and the sauces, in particular, were very authentic and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, and the wine recommendations were knowledgeable. It was all our first time there, and most likely not our last ☺️

Unfortunately, we gave this restaurant a second chance!!!! The food was good... only the service was terrible!!!! 4 steaks for 6 people... 2 guests ordered tapas... (each of them was missing 1 tapa... which wasn't ordered!!!) The young ladies who cleared the tables and brought the ordered drinks were diligent... only able to order one drink!... and then we waited again... after asking 3 times... about 20 minutes until it arrived!... our second drink!! In 2 hours, we only got 2 drinks...! Then we wanted to pay... and waited again... about 30 minutes! Then the waiter came to take the payment, quite rude... (we shouldn't rush...).... Unfortunately, we didn't get a bill... because we wanted to pay for a couple of whites...! So I asked for a catering bill... to check everything!! To get it... I went straight in... so I wouldn't have to wait any longer! I'm happy to spend money to enjoy a nice evening with friends and good food! BUT NEVER AGAIN THERE! (The service used to be great...now it's a disaster)

A very nice evening with friends. That was also one of the positive things. The food was good, but the service was truly abysmal. The waiter could barely understand us, and the wait times were extremely long. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes just for a second drink and reminded them at least three times. Completely overwhelmed. In a restaurant like this, the staff should be efficient. Otherwise, they shouldn't be surprised by the bad reviews. We felt a bit out of place because our wishes were simply ignored. The food was okay, but I still wouldn't go back. For my money, I can enjoy some friendly service, like I've experienced in other restaurants. It's a shame, really.

We booked a table here today for my husband's birthday party – unfortunately, it was a completely disappointing experience. We sat at the table for 75 minutes without food. Even the drinks took an average of 20 minutes. During that time: no communication, no explanation, no apology. Although not all tables were occupied, the management was obviously completely overwhelmed. No bread, no small greeting from the kitchen, nothing. They simply made us wait. That's not just bad service, but disrespectful to the guests. After over an hour (75 minutes), a waiter finally arrived with a tray of food – but by then, the evening was long over for us. We declined and left. We only paid for the drinks, despite the restaurant's complete lack of understanding. We should have understood that, after all, it was full??????? Conclusion: Anyone who goes here should have a lot of patience and a capacity for suffering. This restaurant is absolutely unsuitable for a birthday or any special occasion. What a shame, really.

Very nice tapas place to chill and enjoy the evening

In summer, it's nice to sit outside. The restaurant gets very noisy due to its size and height. The service staff were friendly, but at times overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the Spanish tapas weren't the real deal. The value for money was not right at all. Bottom line: few, poor quality, too expensive. There are better options in the southern part of the city.

Unfortunately, it's overpriced and absolutely disastrous. Mini portions start at €7. The food is mostly frozen. A portion of canned olives costs €5, frozen chicken with the accompanying sauce costs €7, and bread with aioli costs €4. The waiters, especially the older gentleman, are the best salespeople. They offer you a drink at every opportunity to squeeze every last cent out of your pocket. The checkout took about 40 minutes, and when it finally came, the waiter in question was standing there with the debit card machine and brazenly demanded his tip. A place that has nothing traditional about it, a pure rip-off for the typical German customer who can't tell the difference between frozen and fresh food.

We came to the restaurant for tapas. The Steinstraße stop isn't far away, which makes it very convenient. There are also a few parking spaces in the courtyard. The brick and courtyard make for a very nice location. Our server was unfortunately very pushy. We were asked if we wanted drinks before we even received the menu. When we asked to read the menu first, he visibly bristled. Unfortunately, this dragged on for a while throughout the evening. I was visibly annoyed every time my upsell wasn't accepted. The dishes were very tasty and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The sauces were perfectly balanced, and everything was cooked thoroughly. The aioli was also well-made and definitely homemade. Payment is easy with card, and tips can also be left via card payment.

At this restaurant, the steaks are always cooked to perfection. Since I didn't want to order French fries, I chose grilled vegetables without tomatoes. The bowl was quite sparsely filled, mostly with pieces of eggplant, zucchini, and two small pieces of red bell pepper. I find €5.90 a very steep price for this. The ambiance, both inside and outside on the terrace, is very nice.

The ambiance is beautiful and very tastefully executed! The outdoor seating is also very pleasant and cozy. The staff is fantastic! It's rare to find such a friendly waitress (Kati)! The food was rather average. The price/performance ratio wasn't quite right... The tapas were comparatively small, and many of them tasted the same because they were all in the same sauce. The cocktails were rather subpar; I wouldn't recommend them. Overall, it wasn't quite to our taste. The ambiance was very nice, though!

TOP! A fantastic location for my daughter's wedding. Everything ran smoothly throughout the entire event. Nothing was lacking, and the owner's helpfulness was especially commendable. We'll be returning after the wedding.

Hello We wanted to spend a lovely evening here on Valentine's Day, but unfortunately, it didn't work out.

Unfortunately, the wait after ordering was extremely long – we had to wait 90 minutes for our food. In the meantime, we politely asked if we could at least get some rolls in advance. Unfortunately, we only received the answer: No, all the dishes arrive at the same time. The food, unfortunately, was only average. It was clear that many of the tapas and sauces were mostly made from ready-made products. Without alcoholic drinks, we (three adults and one child) paid a total of €140 – a hefty price that was neither justified by the quality of the food nor the service. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Went to the restaurant with 9 people at 5:45 p.m., got something to drink at 6:30 p.m., ordered food at 6:45 p.m. After complaining, it finally came at 1945 because otherwise we would have gotten up and left. Steak instead of medium, well done. Pork fillet cooked through and only slightly warm. Not to eat either. Forgot the tappas we ordered, chicken was left for rabbit, some of it was cold. No apology, no insight. In the end we definitely didn't pay for the entire meal. Now fell for the second time. That's it.

Absolute recommendation!!! Our family dinner with 21 people was a complete success, from the reservation to the advance arrangements to the delicious food and super friendly service! The price-performance ratio is right. So if you want to enjoy excellent steaks and tapas in a great ambience, this is the right place for you!

We were there with four people. Nice restaurant in a factory hall and good parking spaces. The tapas are not cheap but varied. And what comes to the table tastes good. However, the service is very self-conscious, slow and can often look the other way.

As a first-time customer, I booked a table for four people. When making the booking I should state whether there is a birthday coming up. In fact, that's why I clicked it. Well, it had no effect. I have no idea what I expected. Now to eat. We ordered a Paella Mixted for 2 people. Unfortunately the paella was lukewarm and unfortunately oversalted. I complained about this and was offered to take the paella with me and have it "reworked" by the chef. We gave up on it. Unfortunately the shrimp were also lukewarm. I would never order paella like that again. The others' dishes were OK - grilled chicken skewers. All in all, however, not a suitable price-performance ratio. We wouldn't come back. The service was ok, probably a student. The atmosphere was good, you just had to clean the floor of the men's toilet because the floor was sticky. You could also clean the windows. After eating, the four of us decided not to come back.

Parking is available right next to the restaurant, and it quickly becomes crowded when the place is full. The two of us had 10 tapas, all of which were freshly prepared and delicious.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right at all! No bread in advance, as you would actually find in almost every tapas shop. Goat cheese was overpriced, tiny and not at all tasty, calamari looked like store-bought rings and sweet potato fries came without anything, ketchup cost 1.50! The store was nice and the service was very friendly! But the food was really disappointing and the price was unrelated!

Light and Shadow Really beautiful ambience - inside and out. Excellent Canarian potatoes with exquisite mojo. But: very inattentive service, constantly busy on their cell phones later in the evening, so they didn't pass on their drink orders - you had to get up to pay. But above all, it was the waiter's reaction that determined that we wouldn't become regular customers: The pork fillet was tough and dry, the taste borderline - my wife couldn't eat it at all, but ended up having to pay for it in full. As a "replacement," the waiter simply offered the same (!) dish again. That wouldn't have improved anything, though, so my wife preferred a small dessert. The waiter immediately explained that he wasn't willing to add dessert to the house - we could have a coffee at best. Although we hadn't requested any compensation, a small dessert would probably have been appropriate in this case. Especially since the restaurant knew from the online booking that it was my wife's birthday that day. One expects – and receives – a corresponding gesture anyway. What a pity about the light.

Yesterday we had dinner with 5 people. Had previously ordered a paella for 2 people. The order apparently didn't arrive! We had to wait about 45 minutes for our paella. The stressed staff (completely overwhelmed) then told us that we should order a few tapas first? You have to pay attention to ordering drinks. Otherwise you won't get anything. Tapas were okay so far. We would rate the paella with one star. Mini prawns with garlic were served lukewarm! Local is very loud. No Spanish atmosphere. Charging €3.80 for aioli with bread (mini bowls) is awesome. Aioli with olives €6.90??? All in all, there are better Spanish restaurants! We don't go there anymore.

Great ambience, unfortunately a bit dark and acoustically in the upper area. Great food. From here on out it's completely off. You can't blame the service at this point. If after (well) over an hour, and then only because a complaint was made, the first tapas arrive, drinks don't arrive and the meat dishes only reach the table after 2:45 hours, the side dishes again later... the management must be reproached here. Staff absences can happen, long ordering times should be proactively announced when ordering and would significantly contribute to relaxation. If you've made it this far, the previous visits were really good 👍, but things have gotten significantly worse. My low score for service does not concern the staff, this is where ordering times are assessed.

We were there today, on a Saturday, at 8 p.m. We had reserved for 2 people. The store itself is very nice, the staff is friendly and attentive, but very stressed, which no one really noticed. We had to ask for the menu and later also for cutlery. Unfortunately we had to wait over 1.5 hours for our food. The quality was really okay but the food was only lukewarm when it arrived. All in all, this doesn't justify a bill of over 100 euros for 2 people. We ate better elsewhere for less money and went home in a better mood. We probably won't come back and won't recommend the restaurant. There is probably more emphasis here on passing customers than on attracting regular guests.

I was recently at Gutierrez in Porz, and I have to say: awesome! As soon as I walked in I thought: "Wow, this is cool!" It's in an old factory, really high ceilings and huge windows. And it's super cozy outside in the yard, you immediately get that holiday feeling. The food was a blast! We had so many different tapas, everything was delicious. And my steak was amazing, cooked just right. You could really tell that everything was fresh. I can really only recommend the Gutierrez. If you want to eat really well and have a nice evening, you definitely have to go there. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Unbelievable rip-off – once and never again! Three churros for €6.90 – served with the cheapest ready-made chocolate sauce. Black olives in breading, dripping with ancient frying fat. Frozen crab-shaped meat sticks of questionable quality. Old, tough Manchego. The tiniest and most overpriced portions of aioli I've ever seen. The crowning achievement: a bill of €180 for two people – with a quality that cannot be beaten by even the average canteen. The ambience? A failure! Cobwebs in the toilet corners, single-layer paper in the closed holder, defective lamps without glass covers or light bulbs. The service? Three out of four waiters couldn't serve us - apparently because of a complicated app. Our waiter showed no interest in feedback. Conclusion: Pure rip-off. Miserable quality. Worst service. Never again!

There were 7 of us there and all orders came quickly and tasted great. The prices are also completely reasonable. The service is very attentive and friendly, despite a full house and a lot of stress! You have to be aware that it is an old factory building. Correspondingly high ceilings and, depending on where you sit, sometimes cooler. If you keep that in mind, great location. In summer it's nice to sit outside in a courtyard. Staff very friendly, quick and well organized. Depending on the day of the week, time and order (lots of tapas), it can take a while. Maybe order a bread basket with the drinks to combat your first hunger pangs and then continue to choose in your own time. We'd love to come back.

The food itself was very good, but unfortunately the portions, especially for the main courses, were a bit small. Unfortunately, the main course only arrived at the table lukewarm and therefore quickly got cold. The price is definitely higher, especially the wine is sold very expensive here.

Eine große Auswahl der Speisekarte. Die Speisen in deutscher und spanischer Sprache. Ich bevorzuge immer die Tapas, aber auch Fleischgerichte und mehr sind sehr gut. Geschmacklich alles hervorragend. Bisher haben wir noch keine Paella gegessen. Fazit: In allem freundlich, hilfreich und das Essen perfekt.

The old file factory is a great location. Unfortunately it was much too cold for us in the evening. Nevertheless, there is a great atmosphere in the main hall. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. We ate tapas with a larger group. These were generally fine. Most people enjoyed everything so far, even if it wasn't quite as classic and traditional as some of us expected. Definitely worth a visit.

Wir waren gestern das erste mal zu unserem Jahrestag bei Guiterrez essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch. Das Ambiente wunderschön, nur ein wenig laut. Man konnte sich schlecht unterhalten.

Sehr gute Küche und schönes Ambiente. Hat allerdings auch etwas von einer Bierhalle.

Alles super aber das Raumklima an den Seiten ist im Winter sehr unangenehm da die Fenster und die Wände extreme Kälte abstrahlen. Die Heizungen waren zwar voll geöffnet, konnten aber nur punktuell wärmen. Vielleicht wören Wandteppiche oder Vorhänge vor den Ziegelwänden eine Lösung. Ggf. auch transparente Folien in Holzrahmen vor den Fenstern? Dies spart signifikant Heizkosten.

The food actually tasted good, unfortunately the meat and other dishes in the main course only came to the table lukewarm because it was served on cold plates. But that can be improved. Das Essen sowie auch der Service waren an einem Samstag Abends, absolut top. Natürlich war es voll, aber die Servickräfte waren gut organisiert. Das Essen war hervorragend und ein tolles Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig in Ordnung. Unser Platz war leider etwas ungünstig an der Eingangstür, so dass es immer recht gezogen hat, sobald die Raucherfraktion nach draussen stürmte. Alles in allem waren wir aber sehr zufrieden und kommen gern wieder.
