Restaurant La Racchetta in Eltville am Rhein

Wir waren zum Valentinsmenü im Restaurant und es war wirklich super! Das Essen mit einer asiatischen Note überraschte uns durch Vielfalt, Optik und ausgezeichnetem Geschmack und Qualität. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Es war zum Anlass dekoriert und ein rundum schöner Abend. Im Sommer sitzt man sicherlich ganz toll draußen oder im Garten. Wir werden es ausprobieren und berichten. Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden und die Zimmer im Gutshotel gemütlich und sehr schön eingerichtet. Gute Kombination von alt und neu. Badezimmer top! Lohnenswert.

This is my opinion and experience report. This is how I felt. First of all, the location is fantastic. It's in an old, very beautiful building with a terrace. You have a beautiful view of the Rhine. We were there for an asado event. The food was served by the bowl. The meats served were perfectly cooked and prepared. The side dishes were delicious. My only criticism: After the terrace was full, I found the service a bit overwhelmed. Probably because our table was too small, not everything could be served the way I would have liked. The flank steak, for example, didn't arrive until about 30-40 minutes later, after everything else that was supposed to be served with the meat was already on the table. This wasn't the case at the neighboring tables.

We were looking forward to a relaxed and enjoyable evening, but were unfortunately severely disappointed. The cozy ambiance and solid cuisine were completely overshadowed by the abysmal service. For a winery to simply place a bottle of wine on the table without letting us taste it is quite unusual and unprofessional. We had to wait almost an hour for the appetizer – unacceptable. Then, in the middle of our meal, we were suddenly served the side salads for the main course, completely without tact or prior consultation. Upon request, additional cutlery was only brought after 20 minutes – not without a rude remark from the waitress. I ended up having to temporarily use my companion's cutlery. When I later described this to the owner, the waitress brazenly denied my account – unfortunately, completely untrue and very unprofessional. Our request for a short break between the appetizer and main course was initially ignored. Instead, we were simply told that the food was now ready and would be "kept warm." In the end, we had to wolf down the entire menu in a very short time – that's nothing like a leisurely dinner. As for the meal itself: The dumplings were nice and fluffy, but a bit saturated with fat, and the trout was unfortunately dry. Overall, a thoroughly disappointing visit. We definitely won't be back – absolutely not recommended. The visit was a huge disappointment...
