Delicious and authentic Korean food, with amazing (lots) of banchan. We picked the 2-person menu and it was so much we couldn't finish it (although we tried as it was so good). Can't say a lot about the atmosphere as it was quiet due to holiday season plus Halloween. I definitely recommend this place.

Yesterday we spontaneously went out for dinner 🙏 It was very pleasant, friendly service, great service and the food was delicious... Our daughter was totally thrilled... Who will be back soon...

Hervorragendes und frisches Essen. Sehr nette Bedienung. Die Einrichtung im hinteren Bereich eher einfach. Ich komm auf jeden Fall wieder.

The Korean dumplings, Mondo, were brilliant, almost heavenly and I can only recommend this Korean restaurant. I think it's a bit of a shame that the staff doesn't speak any German or English, or that the menu no longer explains in German or English what's behind the dishes and ingredients. I am sure that this would also have a positive impact on business development. I'll definitely be back 👍

I live in Germany, and this was a restaurant I stopped by when I went to Heidelberg on the weekend for the first time in a while. The price was too expensive compared to other areas, so I assumed it was because it was a tourist destination, but the taste and quantity were more outrageous than the price. I ordered Jjajangmyeon, but it was less than the amount of Jjapaghetti and wasn't seasoned very well, so I just ate it like black noodles. The bulgogi came on a smaller plate than the corn cheese plate, but the meat was thick and tough. Overall, the food was not seasoned properly, but I wish the kitchen would check the taste of the food every day before serving it to customers. Also, please note that card payments are accepted starting from 20 euros or more.

The Korean food is delicious. The pickled radish and kimchi are quite spicy. There are tofu soup, bibimbap, and set meals. I ordered the kimchi and pork. The saltiness is just right when eaten with rice! The most surprising thing is the sparkling drink. The menu says ice tea, but it should be considered a fruit-flavored sparkling drink. It’s delicious! The store is warm and cute, and the clerk is also handsomeㅋㅋㅋㅋ! Recommended for anyone who wants to eat in an Asian restaurant when coming to Heidelberg!

Waiter only speaks English. No offense to the boy, but I just find it incredibly inconsiderate and presumptuous of the restaurant to hire a waiter in Germany who only speaks English. Not everyone speaks English or wants to speak English in their own country! When you serve customers, it's not too much to ask to be able to speak the local language to some extent. I think it's totally dangerous to normalize something like that and I'll be eating Korean somewhere else until further notice.

I was craving for Korean, we visited a few restaurants in the area but they are all busy. As it was still hot in the afternoon, we deceived to choose this restaurant in the end since it did not look so crowded, less hot we hoped. ▪︎Atmosphere: The place has nice decorations and clean. Spacious and less hot inside the restaurant. ▪︎Experience: We ordered the dakbulgogi and the dwaejibulgogi. We arrived when the restaurant was quite, not many people there. Inside there were 2 more 3 more tables of people excluding mine. It took so long for the food to come out. I was fixated on the time because I kept checking the time. We were both exhausted from the heat, tired and hungry. I just wanted some comfort food. The waiting did not help. I think we did wait more than an hour for the food. When the food finally arrived, the first bite dwaejibulgogi just made all the hunger went away, my pork was all in broken in small pieces, it felt like more shred pork??? Please correct me if I am wrong but should not it be thin sliced. At least that what I know of this dish. My boyfriend's dish was fine but not his favorite he said. As we both disappointed, we had a few more bites, did not finish the food. Which is very rare honestly 🥲 (we got leftover to go of course, can't waste food). ♡In sum up: I simply hated the experience, the food and the waiting. Maybe other dishes might taste better. Or other days they have better service. However, I for sure wont come back to find out if it is the case or not. I won't recommend this place to people either. It is my opinion, unfortunately.

Small Korean restaurant, not very spectacular inside, but the food there tastes very good and the service is very friendly.

The seafood soft tofu stew broth is so delicious. Is it beef bone? Plus, it contains squid. I wish there was a little more seafood. The vegetable side dishes are also savory and delicious. Moderately spicy. It's open on public holidays, but it's a shame that it's closed on Sundays. I feel comfortable even after eating.

I was there last year summer with my family, food was pretty bad and not authentic. If people liked the food, thats good but I still hate this place represent my countrys cusine

The only Korean restaurant in Heidel 10 years ago... The guy's attitude was the same (he was usually more angry), but the taste didn't taste the same as before. I was surprised at how much prettier the interior was.

Been here multiple times over multiple summers. The food tastes good and there is a wide variety of Korean dishes priced decently. With sunny weather it’s nice to sit outside, but this time the high number of wasps circling around our food and drinks ruined the joy of eating outside.

For me it was local and the food wasn't really impressive, I ordered a bibimbap, two drinks and a snack. And it was already expensive. Not only that, but the bibimbap I ordered was supposed to be served in a stone pot, but instead I got a wooden bowl and the food inside was cold. I'm not really happy with the food, I have to admit. You have to know. greeting

It's not stone pot bibimbap, it's just bibimbap, but they brought it back to me because I was confused about the order. Even so, the owner's attitude was very unfriendly. I could hear people speaking Korean in the kitchen, and even when I spoke in Korean, they responded in German... I felt so bad. Maybe it was because they just didn't want to talk, or something... They just threw away the menu and didn't even listen to my request for a receipt or check the menu when paying. The young woman was kind. Also, the bibimbap tasted a bit strange, and the pancakes and seasoned bean sprouts they gave as side dishes were delicious, but seasoned broccoli? It was so bad... Anyway, I'm leaving a review for Koreans to take note of.

It was a great experience, the service was really nice. All of our questions about the dishes were answered calmly and in detail. The menu for two is absolutely recommended.

The real korean restaurant with big portions and spicy food. We was two of us and we took two starters and one dish, that was a soup, so at the end I asked for a doggy bag 😅 All dishes was good, especially kimpab !

I was craving something spicy so I ordered stir-fried kimchi pork belly and it was so delicious. I think it would be a pretty good choice to soothe the feeling in the middle of your trip.

The waiter is probably patriotic and so proud of his own country that he doesn't really speak German or English. The beef rib soup was so oily that I wouldn't bother buying oil for the next week. And the kimchi pork was prepared with butter or cream...very creative. But at least one dish is ok... everything ready so we don't starve... Thanks boss.

Don't throw away your money here. We as a group had kimchi jigae. The taste and content in it was terrible. The owner`s response to our request was beyond expectation.

The mildly spicy seafood soybean paste stew is refreshing. The bulgogi ssambap was delicious, and all the side dishes that came with it were delicious. This place offers a taste of Heim (hometown) to those who are tired of Germany's salty food. I ate well and was full. The owner and staff were Korean and very friendly.

To be honest, I was almost disappointed that the food came out late, but I understand because it was a calculation error. The food that came out was delicious, and the student workers were really friendly. I go to Heidelberg often, but I plan to visit again!!

A bit hidden in the city center but absolutely recommended! The food is super tasty and is pretty close to that in Korea. Especially if you go with friends, you can easily share portions.

I had kimchi stew, japchae rice, and makgeolli. It was delicious. I was worried because of the bad reviews, but I feel better because it's delicious. It is located in the cathedral square.

Ordered 1L water, only received 0.75; ordered jajongmyeon for 14 euros, was charged for 16.5 euros. Food taste was below average and not worth the price, I recommend satay chicken from Carrefour over this. My grandpa didn't liberate half of Germany just for such autocratic regime to come back on the high street of Heidelberg.

The chicken soup was delicious. There was a group of customers before us, so we had to wait quite a while for our drinks and food to arrive. Service and taste were average.

Almost authentic! I love everything I ordered in this place, since I have been in Korea, I kinda knew how the authentic taste of Korean cuisine and they really made it well. I‘m so happy that I finally found a good place to eat Jjajangmyeon and Jjampong, after such a long search🥺 The side dishes were bit unusual I had in other Korean restaurants, but it were all tasty. The only thing disturb me is, the restaurant located in such old German building with some old interior Bavarian style😂 but okay it won‘t make me put away a star. Well done!

This is the first time I have eaten in such a tasteless Korean restaurant, and it did not provide free side dishes. The service staff are friendly and provide good service.

I found it overpriced, the ambience absolutely inappropriate (Christmas decorations in February) and quite simple (not even seasoned properly). Better go somewhere else!

This place serves authentic Korean food. I appreciate the milder spice level compared to typical Korean dishes. The waitress was really helpful, giving us extra bowls and a serving spoon for the big bowl soup.

짜장면 진짜 상상이상으로 별로였구요.... 차라리 짬뽕만 드시는거 추천해요.. 손만두는 5개에서 4개로 줄었네요..ㅠ 사장님 말투가 너무 불친절하신건지 음식도 별로였는지 이미 다른 손님과 싸우고계시더라구요. 그냥 다른 한식당가는거 추천이요. 말투자체가 모두에게 그냥 비아냥 거리시더라구요.

Ich habe Glasnudeln mit Gemüse vegetarisch bestellt. Ich habe Glasnudeln mit Gemüse bekommen, es gab noch Fleisch auf dem Teller. Der Besitzer sagte ich sollte ,Fleisch nicht betrachten. Ich wollte neuer Teller. Ich wollte Fleisch nicht essen. Der Kellner brachte mir Teller ohne Fleisch, aber Stück Fleisch habe ich doch entdeckt. Ich wurde als Vegetarier nicht akzeptiert.

Wir waren erstmals wieder nach 2 Jahren hier, sind sogar extra 180 km zu genau diesem Restaurant angereist... und vermissten nicht nur die tolle grosse Speisekarte von früher, sondern auch diese Deko-Mischung aus bunten koreanischen Fächern, altdeutschen Rehgeweihen und Gläsern voller Ginseng. Auch war es früher nicht so eng bestuhlt. Auch das Essen war leider nicht so toll... früher konnte man z.B. sein Bulgogi selbst am Tisch grillen. Wir sind alle 4 seeehr enttäuscht. Seeehr schade. Trotzdem läuft der Laden, denn es war total voll und wir waren froh, vorher angerufen zu haben.

Delicious Dolsot Bibimbap and Kimbap! The service is also really kind. The restaurant gets pretty crowded at the weekend so better make a reservation.

길을 걷다 우연히 발견한 식당이에요. 큰 기대를 안했는데 짬뽕이 한국에서 먹던 맛 그대로 얼큰하고 해물도 듬뿍! 어찌나 맛있는지 공기밥까지 시켜서 말아먹었어요. 뜨끈하게 속이 확 풀립니다. 따라나온 반찬도 맛있네요~ 화장실에는 핸드크림까지 준비한 섬세함. 고맙습니다! 여행중 정말 반가웠어요~^^

Super koreanisches Essen. Kann besonders Schweinebauch mit Kimchi empfehlen und dazu einen köstlichen Reiswein (Makgeoli). Was hier auch sehr positiv anzumerken ist, daß kein Glutamat verwendet wird. Das habe ich in anderen koreanischen Restaurants schon anders erlebt. Die Bedienung ist immer sehr freundlich.

Arrivé à 20h30 pour nous informer que le restaurant ferme à 21h30 ok... Mais à 21h30 on nous informe qu'il faut récupérer les verres car fermeture... Dommage ça partait bien mais ça final mal. Bref tourists welcome !

Kleine Karte mit authentisch koreanischen Gerichten. Die Teller kommen ohne Schnickschnack an den Tisch - Deko ist woanders. Geschmacklich gut, aber auch nichts Besonderes. Leider war der Service ein Totalausfall. Brummelig unfreundlich. Null Deutschkenntnisse - Nachfragen, Wünsche führen zu großen Augen mit ratlosem Blick. Besteck und Serviette haben, nicht nur bei mir, gefehlt. Es gibt nur Stäbchen und Löffel. Es wär schon schön, wenn ich auch Messer und Gabel hätte haben können. Das Gestochere mit den Stäben ist meine Sache nicht. Die Teller waren kalt, das Essen dann sehr schnell auch. Keine Sojasauce am Tisch, ist wohl auch nicht vorgesehen, seltsam. Der bestellte Tee kam nicht, Nachfragen zwecklos siehe oben, stand dann aber auf der Rechnung. Alles hat sehr lang gedauert. Der Koreanische Pfannkuchen mit Meeresfrüchten war ausschließlich mit Kimchi als Einlage zubereitet. Kann man so machen, muss dann aber auf der Karte stehen und darf nicht 15€! kosten. Schade.

Ich kann das Restaurant Korea wärmstens empfehlen! Das Essen ist immer außerordentlich lecker, weshalb wir oft hierher kommen und üblicherweise sehr zufrieden sind. Die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich und arbeitet zügig, was das Gesamterlebnis angenehm gestaltet. Besonders möchte ich den Glasnudelsalat empfehlen - ein absolutes Highlight auf der Speisekarte! Das Restaurant Korea hat uns bisher nie enttäuscht und ist definitiv eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants. Wir freuen uns bereits auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Gewöhnungsbedürftige Einrichtung, aber phantastisches Essen.

Es war ok. Das Essen schmeckte gut. Ich hatte Gladnudeln mit Gemüse. Die selbstgemachte Zitronenlimonade war aus gepressten Zitronen und sehr erfrischend. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Hatten wohl vorher eine große Reisegruppe zu Gast, darum waren alle etwas gehetzt.

Has bibimbad. It was great. Courteous service.

부모님이랑 스위스, 프랑스 가족여행하다 하이델베르크 가고싶다 하셔서 잠시 들렀습니다. 사전조사 없이 간판 보고 들어간 곳이라 별 기대 안 했는데 존맛이네요 ㅋㅋ 어머니 입맛이 까다로우신 편인데 한 입 드시자마자 한국 기준으로도 맛있는 음식이라고 칭찬하셔서 좀 놀랐습니다. 돼지불고기, 순두부찌개, 짬뽕, 손만두 이렇게 먹었는데 짬뽕이 진짜 너무 맛있었습니다. 물론 나머지 음식들도 맛있어서 남기지 않고 먹었네요. 여성 알바생분과 사장님도 친절하게 대해주셔서 저희 가족 모두 유럽여행 막바지에 즐거운 경험 할 수 있었습니다.

Cool place to dine. More variety than Soban or Cocodec.

Ich war zweimal mit Freunden dort. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, daher gibt's noch zwei Sterne. Einrichtung wirkt eher wie ein gutbürgerliches deutsches Restaurant, mich persönlich stört das aber nicht. Was aber wirklich katastrophal war war der Service, und das bei beiden Malen, wo ich dort war. Von den langen Wartezeiten abgesehen wurden teilweise auch Hauptspeisen vor der Vorspeise gebracht. bei unserer Gruppe wurde außerdem ein Gericht vergessen. Als wir halb mit dem Essen fertig waren haben wir nach dem fehlenden Gericht gefragt und die Kellnerin meinte, es kommt sofort. 20 Minuten später waren wir schließlich fertig alle fertig mit dem Essen und die letzte Person hatte ihr Essen immer noch nicht bekommen, das gleiche Gericht wurde aber an mehreren Tischen serviert. Nachdem unser Freund das Essen schließlich storniert hat, gab es weder eine Entschuldigung noch irgendeine Entschädigung. Schließlich hat er das Restaurant hungrig verlassen. NIE WIEDER!!

후기가 나빠서 기대는 안 했는데 정말 맛있었어요. 알바생 분들도 친절하고 음식도 빨리 나와요. 양은 조금 적지만, 반찬도 리필되고 좋아요 :)

여행팀33명 같이 한국관을 찾았다 마지막여행지라 김치찌개로 말없이허기를 체우는중이였다 우리팀들이 소란을피웠다면 또 달리 생각하겟지만 ~ 고추장가져온 통을 보셨는지 통버리지말고 가져가라고 마치 싸움닭처럼 말을 하심,여행기분 잡쳐버림 통을 식당에 버리고 가서 못오게 한다는둥 주인장으로 인간성 꽝 이시다 블러그 올라온 글을 보니 한두건이 아니다 그식당 가시더라도 카드로 계산할때 잘 따져계산하세요 추가수수료로 우리나라 사람들한테 받는다고 올라온글 봤네요 음식도 우리나라에서 그런맛이면 당연이 안가겠죠 친절하고는 거리가 먼 주인아저씨네요 어느분은 "*별하나"*도 아깝다고 글이 올라와있네요 진짜 맞아요 여행사에선 그집 다시한번 생각해볼문제네요

Gutes Essen. Das Ambiente erinnert an eine Kneipe aus den 1980ern. Nicht ganz günstig.

Authentic DELICIOUS Korean cuisines, price is ok and never overly full (unlike other Korean restaurants in HD). Must try is the soup dishes (Jjigae) and Gimbap.

Keine große Auswahl, im Menü kann man die Gerichte nicht erkennen (Bild) und appetitlich sehen sie auf den Bildern auch nicht aus. Teuer und war mittelmäßig. Da gefällt mir Soban besser

Un ami qui a habité en Corée du Sud nous a montré ce restaurant familial et authentique dont je suis très satisfaite. Hormis le service long mais compréhensible au vue du nombre d'employés, des plats et du monde. Un peu surprise par le prix (cher) mais j'ai mangé à ma faim.

Die Tatsache, dass im trotz noch anhaltender Corona Regeln, ziemlich vollen Restaurant mit Aussentischen , vor allem Asiatische Gäste sassen, spricht für die Qualität aller angebotenen Gerichte. Wer Gut und Preiswert Koreanische Küche kennen lernen möchte, ist im KOREA in Heidelberg richtig. Und nette Bedienung.

Awkward.restaurant, old German interior, some Korean goodies. Route to the toilet looks Asian (but clean!). Good food, fresh. Quantity is ok. Cheap! Five personen, with wine and large beer, for 90 euro.

We sat outside and the service was a bit slow but okay. We ordered the Kimchi Soup and it was really good. The banchaans came and they were a pleasant surprise, even for connoisseurs of Korean cuisine. We ordered spicy pork bulgogi and garlic chicken bulgogi. Both were very dry, there was no sauce at all. The taste was not great, nothing special. Not spicy, although it was explicit in the menu that it was gonna be. Really disappointed because we had heard really good things about the restaurant from Koreans.

Das gemütliche, uhrige Restaurant ist liebevoll mit Akzenten der koreanischen und deutschen Kultur eingerichtet. Der nette Besitzer bedient freundlich mit seiner Frau und präsentiert unglaublich köstliche Gerichte. Zum Hauptgericht Bi Bim Bap gab es eine leckere Miso-Suppe und sieben verschiedene Kimchi aufs Haus. Von eingelegtem Rettich und Kohl, bis hin zu fritierten Algen war wirklich etwas für Jedermann dabei. Als Getränk haben wir uns eine Zimt und Birnen Limonade in der Dose bestellt. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal kommen!

Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr großzügige Portionen. Voraussetzung: Ihr müsst Euch auf die koreanische Küche einlassen, die sehr würzig und deftig ist. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, schämt sich aber auch nicht, die koreanischen Traditionen durchzuziehen (see for yourself;)). Jeder "Local" und jeder "Tourist" sollte da einmal hingehen, um sich ein Bild zu verschaffen.

Das Restaurant ist sehr koreanisch dekoriert. Was aber heißt, dass man dort den Eindruck bekommt, als wäre man in den 1980er Jahren in Korea(nicht böse gemeint). Das Essen kann man essen, aber nicht besonders, wenn ich ehrlich bin. Jedoch bieten sie dort vielfälitge Beilagen an und dem einen oder dem anderen kann es gut gefallen.

Voor ons was het de eerste keer dat we Koreaans aten. We bestelden het special menu voor 2 personen. Wat we kregen was eerst een uitgebreid voorgerecht en vervolgens een gehakt gerecht met heel veel bijgerechten. Dat was een leuke verassing! Alles smaakte prima. De service was goed en de bediening vriendelijk. Al met al hebben we erg genoten die avond. Tip: dit was vroeger een Duits restaurant en enkele elementen zie je nog steeds terug in de inrichting. Laat je hierdoor niet afschrikken want zoals gezegd hadden we een prima avond.

Waren an einem Sonntag mittag dort zum Essen. Es waren noch reichlich Sitzplätze vorhanden. Das Ambiente ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und Deko auf den Tischen vermisst man auch etwas. Wurden von dem Herr des Hauses an einen Tisch gebeten und mussten uns setzen, wo er es richtig empfand (keine freie Sitzwahl AM Tisch) - erste Kuriosität! Dauerte sehr lang bis er wieder kam um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen, Freundlichkeit suchte man auch vergebens. Essen kam dann recht zügig. Leider keine Erklärung der vielen verschiedenen kleinen Tellerchen - sehr schade! Wenn man sich nicht ein wenig auskennt isst man hier ins Schwarze. Das Essen war ok, nicht überragend lecker aber ok und die Portionen waren auch ausreichend. Leider kam es während unseres Essens zwischen dem Hausherrn und seiner Frau zu einem lautstarken Wortwechsel bis er schlussendlich mit dem Tablett vor allen Gästen auf sie einschlug. Wir haben zeitnahe gezahlt, wir auch alle anderen. Ausgetrunken haben wir auch nicht.

I last visited and reviewed this restaurant in August 2015. That first meal was disappointing so I didn't think to return till recently, two years later.  We were sightseeing in the area on a Monday, and craving Asian fare.  The restaurant had a small table free amidst hordes of Korean tourists popping in for shifts of 30-minute lunch breaks, so the owner squeezed us in. The quality of the à la carte dishes we ordered was satisfactory, and the meal is relatively good value for money.  The best way to sample the variety on offer is to order one dish per person from the à la carte menu and share them "Asian family-style".   This way, you also get to enjoy 7 different types of banchan, free refills available (the kimchee is still not as robust as I liked it to be). The Haemul Pajeon and Mandu kept us busy while we waited for our main courses to be served.  The dipping sauce is pure soy sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled in, so be wary before you drench anything in it. The large bowl of spicy seafood udon would do nicely as comfort food on a cold and rainy day.  I liked the dish "Spicy Octopus in Vegetables" best - its sauce had the right balance of sweet and spicy, although the restaurant would sometimes substitute octopus with squid (we returned and ordered this dish again a week later).   Korea is open daily for lunch from 11.00-15.00 (lunch menu available), and for dinner from 17.30-23.00.  Reservations are highly recommended,  otherwise you risk getting turned away, especially during lunch time when Korean tour groups descend daily for lunch.

This Korean restaurant is tucked around the corner from the church, away from the main hustle and bustle. There are three Korean places to eat here and each of them offer a different atmosphere and different menus. This one looks older but the service was friendly. I felt it was also the best value for the price and offered a better variety of dishes. Skip the combo platters and have each person in your party order a singular dish to share with everyone. Also if you want a "light" refreshment I would recommend it for the good assortment of beverages, Korean pancake and mandu.
