We were in the restaurant on the first day of vacation. Very nice facility, lovingly designed. The food was excellent. I can recommend it to every holidaymaker and visitor to Sassnitz with a clear conscience. Gladly again, very satisfied.

We haven't eaten this great in a long time - it's just so delicious 😋 😋 😋. We decided to stop by there at short notice and were given a very friendly welcome and seated. The staff are all very, very nice, if we are here again we will come back. Thank you again. Barnim greets.

I just had dinner at König Gustav with my family. Haven't had anything to complain about for ages. I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. The chef ensures that the food is tasty, visually appealing and sufficient. The staff is friendly and attentive.

You definitely have to eat there

A must every year on Rügen vacation and definitely our favorite restaurant in Sassnitz! Attentive and very friendly service; varied selection of dishes (summer/winter) and of course first-class food! Reservations are advisable (for a seat inside); But it also works until around 7 p.m. with a “spontaneous visit”.

Before our vacation, I had already asked where you could eat well in Sassnitz. Because of the good reviews and the promising mix of German and Spanish cuisine, I chose this restaurant and reserved a table by phone. A reservation is definitely recommended, as we observed several times during our stay how spontaneously arriving guests unfortunately had to be turned away. Even after the rain had stopped and the few terrace seats were immediately set up, there was not enough space for everyone who wanted to eat here on Friday evening. The service was very friendly. QR codes take you to the digital food and drink menu. That doesn't bother me, but I asked myself what if a guest doesn't have a smartphone with them or isn't that adept at using it. The drink order came to the table quickly, the bread as a starter after just over 10 minutes and the main courses after about three quarters of an hour. First of all there was a small bowl of gazpacho as a greeting from the kitchen. The waiting time was certainly due to the high number of guests, but above all the food here is fresh. You could hear the schnitzel hammer coming from the kitchen several times. The portions were good and the food (especially the fried potatoes!) was very tasty. Our dessert was flambéed directly at the table. You can feel that you take time for your guests here. By the way, there were cloth towels in the (very clean) toilets. This is absolutely not a must, but it is another nice detail. Clear recommendation!

We ate here twice during our vacation and were very satisfied with both the service and the food we ordered. We had both fish, meat and the Spanish tapas platter. Also very friendly and courteous staff. We felt in good hands all around.

Very nice restaurant, nice service staff, a real compliment to the girls, they are great, have eaten there three times now, it was always great. Paella had to be ordered in advance, but anyone who has ever made paella will understand that. It was really great.

We had really great and lovely service. Despite the high season, we got a good seat and were served quickly. My “extra request” was also taken into account in the kitchen. On our visit to Sassnitz I ate by far the best schnitzel here. We will be back definitely! 😊

Went there for the second time on Monday and it was awesome again. If we're back on Rügen next year, we'll see each other. 😀 Greetings from Goslar. 5 stars are actually not enough. We went there without a reservation and shortly after 5 p.m. the restaurant was almost full! We still got a table. The service (Magda, she'll do it) is absolutely great! The recommended food was sensational. Plaice fillet and the hot pot with sweet potato fries were unique! There was also a small greeting from the kitchen beforehand. Delicious. Ordered another table for Monday evening. 😀

Wir waren spontan und ohne Reservierung essen. Trotz angekündigter Wartezeit wegen einer größeren Gesellschaft wurden wir schnell von super Team bedient. Let's start from the beginning. You come into the restaurant and are greeted by nice music and a very nice and pleasantly decorated restaurant. The service staff are nice and we got a table (8 people) straight away. The menu is completely digital and can be opened using a QR code. The watchlist causes the site to crash on the iPhone, otherwise the system is great. After a short while, a service person with a slight accent came and took the order for the drinks. So far everything is good. After a short wait she came back with the drinks and took the order for the food. One of my colleagues I was there with wanted fried potatoes with his steak instead of fries. This didn't work because the sauce supposedly wouldn't go well with it. Another friend, who is a little smaller and can't handle large portions, wanted to order a schnitzel for children because of the size. This was denied to her. She is over 14 and therefore cannot order this. She then wanted a normal Viennese style schnitzel but without bacon. This wish was also granted. The statement from Servixe Kraft: “The fried potatoes all come from the same plate and it would be too much effort”. I have no understanding of that. After an okay wait, the food came. The steaks were medium, but no one asked beforehand whether medium or something else was desired. There was no dip or anything else for the fries that came as a side dish with the steak. Also, there wasn't enough sauce on the stick to dip the fries with. So why wouldn't fried potatoes have been possible here if there's no sauce for the fries anyway. Where is the argument? The price is okay for the location and the food. You should expect €25-40 per person. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

The food tasted very, very good. Unfortunately, the three of us at the table ordered the hot pot and the sweet potatoes were served in a shared basket. It was really far too little and we ordered more, which cost another €5.90... I call that cheap. Tip to everyone: expressly ask for extra containers for your potatoes or anything else. A lady at our table wanted some extra bread, she actually got a single thin slice... for such stinginess I deduct the stars, no matter how good the food is.

Interesting restaurant with good food. We ordered the tappas plate twice and got everything on one plate, which was extremely unusual. It's more common for animals to eat from a pot. A lot of green salad on ONE plate doesn't make the meal any more. Little but good food for the money. The (plate for 2) would be my starter. The highest drink prices I've ever seen. Up to €6.40 for 0.4l of beer, which was probably brewed by the Apollo mission on the moon. If the competition has the same prices as you read here in the recessions, maybe you've just written off? You save yourself the hassle of calculating. Menu on the tablet, so you don't want grandma here anymore, but she still has the inheritance to distribute. There's nothing left for me to do now. Tip: Take part in the campaign, don't order any more drinks, the price is too high. Rügen, the north of central Germany continues to take off, but LNG Ternimals will take care of it. We were in the restaurant yesterday and were very impressed. We had the excellent fresh Tappas platter which we could barely finish. Very nicely presented on a large porcelain plate. I also enjoyed an original Spanish Estrella beer fresh from the tap For me the price depends on the taste, it was wonderful. I can't understand the previous review, especially since a local beer in comparable restaurants is in the same price range. We love the place and would love to come back

Doesn't do justice to the price. Tapas plate not freshly prepared, very garlic heavy. Drink prices very high. Beer is adulterated when poured. ... mixed with "foam beer". It doesn't work at all. Salad only dressed with sauce upon request. There was no supposed dressing. Second star only because of the nice Eastern European service. ..And the answer from the owner says it all.

Super delicious food and super friendly staff who serve you quickly and professionally. It is cooked fresh every day. The boss is still in the kitchen here. Highly recommended and always worth a visit.

Heute am 15.04.2024 waren wir in dem gediegenen Restaurant, was uns von der Namensgebung her abgeschreckt hat. Wir nahmen eine Tapasplatte für 21,90€ und die Duettfischvariante mit Dorade und Wolfsbarsch für 25,90€. Der Fisch war an der Haut knusprig angebraten mit viel Knoblauch mit feinem Gemüse mit Röstaromen und Rosmarinkartoffeln, alles sehr ausgewogen und gelungen. Die Tapasplatte war ein Gedicht verschiedenster Geschmäcke von Fleisch mit Süße und Garnelen mit gerösteten Kartoffelstreifen. Insgesamt gelungen lecker. Die Küche braucht etwas Zeit, die durch den freundlichen Gruß verkürzt wurde. Insgesamt das beste Essen in Sassnitz. Danke, wir kommen wieder.

Wir wohnen in Binz und waren mehrmals in dem Restaurant essen. Ich liebe die Tapas-Platte. Die Küche ist gut, die Preise sind angestiegen - wie überall. Die Kellnerin sind ein Trinkgeld wert. In der Saison bitte abends vorbestellen. Viel Spaß und guten Appetit. Toll wäre, wenn es noch mehr Speise in Seniorengröße geben würde.

Our waitress was always there without being intrusive and was open to any questions. It's obvious that hospitality is very important here. Another plus point is the consideration of young guests. The special children's meals are so delicious that they should convince even the pickiest little gourmet. This attention to the needs of families makes the restaurant an ideal place for shared meals. As far as value for money is concerned, we found the prices more than reasonable. Given the high quality of the food and the excellent service, you really feel valued as a guest here. In conclusion, the König Gustav is a real recommendation for anyone who values ​​a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, child-friendly options and a fair price-performance ratio. Wir sind unangemeldet zur besten Primetime aufgetaucht, das Restaurant rappel voll. Trotzdem würden wir sehr höflich empfangen und mit der Bitte belegt, doch bitte 5 Minuten zu warten, dann wird ein Tisch für uns vorbereitet. Die Kellnerin "Netti" hat sofort die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen und umgehend serviert. Die Speise- und Getränkekarte ist per QR Code einsehbar. Wir haben uns für Scholle und Zander entschieden, wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Bei der Bestellung wurden wir sehr höflich darauf hingewiesen, daß unsere Bestellung etwas Zeit in Anspruch nehmen wird, worauf wir direkt auf eine Vorspeise angesprochen wurden. Wir haben uns für eine Tortilla entschieden, welche wir uns als Vorspeise geteilt haben. Zu erwähnen wäre, daß dieses Restaurant vom Essen einen Mix aus klassisch deutscher und spanischer Küche anbietet. Die "Vorspeise" geht auch locker als Hauptgericht für eine Person durch. Die Kellnerin "Netti" hat umgehend registriert, das mein Getränk bereits leer war und gleich nach Nachgefragt, ob ich noch etwas Trinken möchte. Perfekt! Bereits vor der Vorspeise kam noch ein kleiner Gruß aus der Küche. Eine kleine Schüssel mit einer sehr leckeren Blumenkohl Suppe, auch längst nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Die Hauptgerichte wurden serviert, wieder mit der sehr höflichen Nachfrage, ob es noch was sein darf. So sieht für mich Service in Perfektion aus. Rund um ein gelungener Besuch für mich in diesem Restaurant, der Service und das Essen über alle Zweifel erhaben. Wir werden die nächste Gelegenheit nutzen und wieder einkehren. Vom mir aus viel Vergnügen beim Speisen!

Super Restaurant. Digitale Speisekarte. Für die ältere Generation bzw bei Bedarf gibt es aber auch die Papierform. Überwiegend mediterrane/ spanische Küche. Kleines aber feines Lokal. Die Auswahl ist sehr übersichtlich. Weniger ist mehr. Das Essen (Fisch) war sehr lecker. Ich komme sicher wieder.

Wlr waren im Oktober '23 im König Gustav und sind satt und zufrieden wieder raus. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Serviceteam. Als Gruß aus der Küche gibt's eine Kartoffelsuppe, zum Abschluss einen lütten mit Orangensaft und einem roten Likör. Tapasplatte lecker, vielfältig, große Portion, das Hähnchen im Speckmantel ein Traum! Calamaris etwas zu teigig, insgesamt hätte es wohl etwas mehr Salz/Würze vertragen. Halbe Ente sehr gut, Soße top (hat sicher viele viele Stunden gekocht), Portion auch hier gut- leider war der Rotkohl lauwarm bis kalt. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Wir sitzen gerade noch hier am Tisch und lassen den Geschmack des Essens wirken. Es war einfach lecker. Die Bedienung zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen wurde zeitnah serviert, war heiß und gut gewürzt. Die Portion vom Wiener Schnitzel war erschreckend gross 🤣...nein, Spaß... es war wirklich reichlich. Danke für die Herzlichkeit und das leckere Essen.

Durch Zufall haben wir den König Gustav über die Google-Suche gefunden. Und das war echtes Glück. Von Aussen etwas unscheinbar. Von innen ein Mix aus modern und "königlich". . Der Service ist definitiv auch königlich. Ein super freundlicher und gut gelaunter Kellner. Auch Sonderwünsche waren kein Problem. Das Essen war wirklich lecker (besonders der Schokokuchen und die Soller). Auch der kleine Gruß aus der Küche- eine Kartoffelsuppe war super. . Es gab vom Kellner sogar eine Entschuldigung, dass die Getränke erst nach der Suppe/dem Gruß aus der Küche serviert wurden. Was aber für uns absolut kein Problem war. . Die Aioli zu den Oliven und dem Brot hatte ordentlich Wums ;-) und auch der Rest war sehr lecker. . Wir haben uns als Gäste sehr willkommen gefühlt, was in einigen anderen Restaurants auf Rügen eher weniger der Fall war. . Uns hat der Mix aus Deutsch-Spanischer-Küche gut gefallen. Und die Qualität des Essens war wirklich toll. . Nicht am König Gustav vorbeifahren sondern anhalten und einkehren. Sonst verpasst man was. PS: mehr Bilder vom Essen gibt es leider nicht. War alles zu lecker und zu schnell aufgefuttert. ;-)

Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. An vegetarischen Gerichten kann noch etwas gefeilt werden und die Dessertkarte ein klein wenig mehr ausgedehnen bitte,wäre schön. Das Ambiente ist wirklich schön und der Service mega. Die Preise sind komplett in Ordnung für die Qualität. Liebsten Dank. Gerne wieder.

Was soll ich sagen? Ich fühlte mich abgeholt und unter Freunden freundlich verwöhnt. Essen, Ambiente, Bedingung, alles war königlich. selbst mein Hund wollte nicht mehr weg und hat tief und fest geschlafen ;). Auf alles wurde eingegangen individuelle Wünsche nach Absprache mit der Küche ohne Vorbestellung erfüllt. Ich muss wirklich sagen, die Menschen haben sich richtig Mühe gegeben. Wir hatten heute Abend Glück noch zwei Plätze in diesem gut besuchten Restaurant zu ergattern. Empfehlung ist hier wirklich, RESERVIEREN. Was wir dann, nach dem Essen, auch just gemacht haben. Denn wir waren mehr als begeistert !! Ich hatte das spanische Knoblauch Hühnchen und mein Mann hatte die Kalbsleber. Es war ein Traum. Sowas von lecker. Die Bedienung unglaublich nett und umsichtig. Alles in Allem - 5 Sterne plus!! Das Restaurant König Gustav können wir zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Lieben Dank 😊

Wir waren am 11.09.23 zum Abendessen im Restaurant. Das Zanderfilet war sehr lecker. Tomasz hat uns sehr kompetent beraten und unseren Aufenthalt durch seine nette Art kurzweilig werden lassen. . Der Sanitärbereich ist einen Besuch wert. Sehr sauber, mit Service Artikeln und Gästehandtüchern ausgestattet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am 11.9.2023 mit 4 Personen essen.Der Tapasteller war reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft, das Knoblauchhähnchen mit Reis, das Feuerfleisch mit Süßkartoffelnpommes und auch das Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Bratkartoffeln waren super zart und lecker. Der Sevice sehr freundlich, danke Thomasz und Kollegen

Es gibt schönere Lagen, der Service ist 👍 sehr gut, freundlich man geht auf den Gast ein, Salat hatte für meinen Geschmack zu wenig Dressing, auf bitten wurde sofort Dressing serviert, das Essen, spanisch Fisch und Fleisch alles sehr lecker, Preis - Leistung in Ordnung, ja ich könnte mir vorstellen hier öfters zu dinieren

Wir sind aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gleich an unserem ersten Urlaubstag hier eingekehrt. Auch ohne Reservierung haben wir einen Platz bekommen. Vorspeise Aioli mit Oliven,hier würde ich sagen ist bei der Aioli noch etwas Luft nach oben, die hatten wir schon besser. Die Kaninchenpfanne war soweit ok, nur die Schenkel waren trocken, denke das ist der Vorbereitung geschuldet. Garnelen Pfanne könnte etwas mehr gewürzt sein. Da dies ja alles seinen Preis hat, denke ich, darf man das auch in Hinsicht auf Optimierung erwähnen. Der Service war top.

Gerade von einem tollen Abendessen zurück. Ein herzlicher Service von Thomaz, der Freude gemacht hat. Das Essen durchweg sehr lecker. Ich hatte eine tolle Tortilla und ein mega leckeres Ajoli. Der Koch scheint mit Liebe und Leidenschaft zu kochen. Wirklich topp! Die Portion für mich nicht zu schaffen… leider… weil einfach gut ! Wir kommen gern wieder. Danke an Koch und Service

Wir bekamen einen schönen Tisch im Innenbereich da das Wetter regnerisch war. Weisswein und Vorspeise wurden schnell serviert und waren auch gut. Auf die Hauptspeise mussten wir eine gute Stunde warten. Für Fisch and Chips doch eindeutig zu lange. Bedienung ok.
