Calf's liver with red cabbage and apple pieces? The venison goulash wasn't great either. The schnitzel with fried potatoes—cut into small pieces to make it look bigger on the plate—was dry and oversalted. Everyone has a bad day now and then, and the job is really tiring, but that doesn't justify the price and the quality. Five fewer people!

On Boxing Day, we had reserved a table for 1 p.m. Everything was super cozy, and the atmosphere was wonderful and festive. However, we had to wait an extremely long time for our food. Almost two hours had passed before we received our main course. The starter soup was tasty, but not even lukewarm. The flavors were excellent, but as mentioned, the food wasn't at the perfect temperature (it was cold), and the wait was simply too long. It's now 3:46 p.m., and we're still waiting for our dessert, which we had requested at the beginning. The server (Netti) was truly wonderful, very friendly, and always tried her best to keep us peaceful! We'd gladly come back, but definitely not during the holidays.

The server only noticed because we were paying attention. We (or rather, my wife) were then incredibly surprised. Absolutely wonderful. But regardless of that: - Great atmosphere - Superb staff - The food was absolutely delicious, plentiful, and offered excellent value for money. You've earned your upcoming annual vacation. Stay just the way you are. The order is placed. I'll call you; our vacation apartment in Haus Rosenstein is already booked.

The good reviews promised a lot, and they were right. The menu and drinks are digital. I prefer a tactile menu, but for the sake of the environment, I also search on my phone. The most important thing, though, is the food, and all I can say is: It was delicious. Even though the restaurant was full, we didn't have to wait long. The meat was tender and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. It's not cheap, but the food is worth it. At the beginning, there was a "greeting from the kitchen." The service was, despite the full menu, very friendly, attentive, and courteous. However, a table reservation is recommended. I highly recommend a visit.

You do a fantastic job and made each of our evenings truly special. The food? A poem! Each course, beginning with the "Greetings from the Kitchen," was perfectly seasoned, lovingly presented, and prepared with evident passion. You simply taste the high-quality ingredients and true dedication used here. We would particularly like to highlight the half roasted duck, the Spanish fire-roasted beef, the pike-perch fillet, the tapas platter, the Crema Sóller, and others, which were absolute masterpieces both in terms of taste and appearance. The food was well-prepared and generously served. The staff stood out for their friendliness and interest in interacting with customers. I felt at home even though I'm not German. One of the best gastronomic experiences I've had here. The Berlin-born waitress was simply very pleasant to talk to, gave us tips, and made for a great evening. I highly recommend it!!!!

The food is truly delicious 👌😋 It definitely deserves a 5*, but when the staff constantly tells you that this and that isn't allowed – like a scoop of ice cream without anything, for a child, instead of with chocolate cake, or that it tastes like fish with sweet potato fries instead of rosemary potatoes – you get annoyed at some point. 😵‍💫 Can't the staff care how I prefer something? 🤷 And since when does lamb fillet with green beans only taste good with potato gratin? I've never experienced it like that before, especially since everything was on the menu. 🤷 You don't get the impression that at König Gustav, "the customer is king." 🤷 And what I absolutely dislike is when a restaurant smells of frying oil. Sorry, but 3 of the 5 of us work in the catering industry and this is just not acceptable😵‍💫 Simply turning on the exhaust air would really make sense when the dining room is full.

We were guided by the positive reviews and paid a visit to König Gustav. And what can we say? It was simply delicious and the service was top-notch. The Duroc pork and the saddle of lamb were simply fantastic. This restaurant is highly recommended, and anyone on Rügen should definitely stop here. The value for money is also excellent. Even though I tend to be critical, I can't find anything negative here. We would come back anytime.

The prices are high, but rather normal for Rügen.

We ate here two days in a row. It's a shame we're leaving tomorrow and won't be able to try the rest of the menu. And I usually write that rather sarcastically. On the first day, I had the bread with olives and aioli. That was good, but then: I had two grilled fish fillets, dorado and sea bass. It came with grilled vegetables and boiled potatoes. It sounds simple at first. The fish was boneless, cooked all the way through, and still juicy. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Cooked with a slight bite, everything perfectly seasoned. My conclusion: I was thrilled. My wife had fish and chips. Many chefs mess up their meals there, too. The fish and chips were very good. The homemade, fresh renulade turned the dish into a feast. The Crema Catalana was freshly caramelized at the table and tasted excellent. I had the Crema Soeller. An orange mascarpone cream. Slightly fruity, not too sweet, just the perfect ending. We were served by the truly pleasant Nettie. A wonderfully friendly woman who enjoys her work. On the second evening, I had the bread again – simple and delicious. This time, my wife had the schnitzel with fried potatoes. She really enjoyed it. I had the spaghetti del mare, and my mouth is still watering. It was so fantastically prepared and seasoned. A solid A+ in both appearance and taste. And I don't say that lightly. Unfortunately, very few can still prepare something this high-quality. Many more can't even capture this flavor. Thank you for the culinary experience. Thank you to you and your crew. We're happy to pay the appropriate price for it. Oh, and the tiramisu was also delicious!

This is truly a little insider tip. The restaurant isn't located down by the harbor, but up on the main street. It's small but perfectly formed, with a cozy atmosphere and very attentive staff, where you can tell they live and love their job. The food is simply 🤤 mmmm 🤤 and everyone will find something to suit their taste, whether it's German cuisine or a delicious Spanish dish. It's freshly prepared with great ingredients, and you can taste it. The price/performance ratio is perfectly acceptable 👌🏻

Everything is just right here. From the lovingly rustic welcome from the waitresses (which I absolutely love) to our dishes, the evening was a true highlight. The veal liver was absolutely amazing, as were the Duroc pork loin and the Wiener Schnitzel. Before that, a mixed appetizer platter and the obligatory Pimientos de Padron left nothing to be desired. This is definitely a restaurant that can be recommended with a clear conscience. We'd be happy to return...

Super friendly service, great ambiance, and excellent food. We started with aoili and olives and a tomato cream soup—we haven't had such good soup in a long time! Afterward, we had fire-roasted pork with a superb BBQ sauce and veal steak with chanterelle mushrooms. The steak was excellent! The two girls at the counter are incredibly friendly 🫶, cheerful, and always have a witty joke or two on their lips/backs 😉👌. We went there spontaneously, for the first time, felt completely at home, and it certainly won't be the last time 😉. Our dog was also warmly welcomed. Thank you for a wonderful end to the day 🫶
