Restaurant-Kochmutze-im-Mobelhaus-Hoffner in Neuss

Surprisingly good lunch. We ended up in the hotel's own restaurant more by chance. It was quiet, the service was very attentive, the prices were fairly fair, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't so good, but we still had a lovely view from the window.

The red cabbage with the roulade tasted strange. It used to be much better.

For a fast-food restaurant, the food was really decent. The service was also very friendly and especially kind when I asked for some sauce. I was immediately served a large bowl, which immediately added €3.50 to the bill. :-( Perhaps the staff gets a percentage of the sales; who knows. :-)

Ambiente*** is unfortunately uneatable* A few days ago: 1:40 PM Veal ragout... what looked like meat was covered in fat and sauce. There was no meat. My wife had a chargrilled sausage with fries – very tasty. The quality/quantity is getting worse and worse. No more visits, thanks. Möbel***** Service at Möbel*****

We were there during the week around 4:30 p.m. We ordered two Wiener Schnitzel dishes. Unfortunately, they were completely dried out and hard, and practically inedible. After we complained, we were offered a piece of cake, but we weren't hungry anymore. Our suggested discount was declined. We definitely won't be back.

Great for coffee & cake on Saturday at 1500

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday, when the furniture store was very busy. Accordingly, the restaurant was also busy. The look is rustic, cozy, and very inviting. Unfortunately, it was too late for breakfast, so we tried the lunch menu. Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and fries Cabbage roll with potatoes and vegetables The portion size was OK, but the taste wasn't outstanding. For dessert, we had covered apple pie and cheesecake. The covered apple pie was very moist and delicious. The cheesecake looked like a small log and was bone dry. The price was OK.

Catastrophic; we have never had another experience with this restaurant. Shortly before closing, about an hour. Currywurst cold and stale. Schnitze lukewarm. Fresh fries, positive, were also freshly made. Unfortunately, child-friendly. Thanks for the last time, Höffner Neuss.

We ate there on Saturday because we wanted something decent to eat instead of eating at the snack bar downstairs for the 10th anniversary. That was a huge mistake! The veal goulash tasted like it came from a can, and the potato salad tasted like it came from a bucket! Absolutely awful, and it's not even cheap! Even the Berliner (Berliner) didn't taste good, and the coffee was just plain sloppy filter coffee! I'd definitely go to any snack bar now! Never again at the Höffner Restaurant!

Never again a chef's hat!!!!! The quality of the food has declined considerably!! It was always good in the beginning!!! Unfortunately, this was the second time we ate badly!! We wanted to try again!!! The food was tasteless and cold!!! We complained immediately... They didn't give us a refund!!!

Had lunch here again after a while. The food was okay, but unfortunately quite cold, which is why the roulade, red cabbage, and dumplings were a bit of a letdown. The ambiance has changed a lot since last time—much more sober, without decorations and clutter—a matter of taste. Someone could perhaps wipe down the tables every now and then. We were here after the lunch rush, and it was difficult to find a clean table. But otherwise: the price-performance ratio is completely acceptable.

Addendum (2024): Something has changed now and vegetarian and even vegan dishes are now also offered. Super! Unfortunately, the restaurant's offerings have stopped in the last century. There is not a single warm, vegetarian dish. All dishes are only available with meat, even every sauce - absolutely not up to date. By 2022, restaurants should be ready to offer at least one meat-free alternative. A simple pasta dish with, for example, tomato sauce would certainly not require much effort.

Reasonable price-performance ratio, delicious food. Very clean, and friendly staff.

Ordered schnitzel with fries yesterday. My wife would have tried the fries directly at the counter and complained. Tasted like it had been in the deep fryer several times. If there are few guests, be careful. It is understandable that the selection is worse on a weekday, but the quality is not. Too bad

We had planned to dine at your restaurant today around 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately, we discovered that the employees behind the serving counter had their buttocks on the work surfaces where the food was being prepared. This has spoiled any desire for us to eat at your house. If there is no emphasis on hygiene in the guests' field of vision, we don't want to imagine what it looks like behind the scenes.

It looks really good there. Better than you would expect from a restaurant in a furniture store and the staff is also very friendly but the food there is a disaster. The prices are a little higher but that is normal. But the food there doesn't taste good at all. Went there as a couple and had to leave the first meal behind. We then got something else but that was also an absolute disgrace. If you go to höffner then it's better to eat something beforehand but avoid this place!

Ambiance and service were great! Very friendly staff and the seating areas are nice and cozy. I was also able to change the dish without any problems (potato salad instead of dumplings). However, my beef roulade wasn't great :( The price seemed tempting, but I only ate half of the little "roulade" because it was very dry and the advertised filling wasn't there. The price was too high for that. It's a shame.

Really great ambience, varied decorative details, rustic modern. The staff there are very polite, friendly, helpful and communicative. Super delicious food (roulade/fish). Price - performance WOW! Really incredibly good. Otherwise very clean, bright and plenty of space. We would love to come back the next time we go for a stroll. Great team 👍🏻

The restaurant closes at 5 p.m., we were there at 4 p.m. and a lot of things had already been put away. There were only drinks and the daily specials. The salad bar and desserts were already completely cleared away. You probably finish work at 5 p.m. sharp. A pity! The food itself was okay. Unfortunately my meat and dumplings were only lukewarm. But the taste was absolutely fine for the price. The ambience of the restaurant doesn't suit my taste. In addition, most of the tables were very dirty and the floor was sticky. I also missed the special child-friendliness here, especially in comparison to other furniture store restaurants. No play area, no extra menu, no utensils etc. This is standard in other restaurants! Overall the experience here was poor compared to other furniture store restaurants and would not eat here again

This resturant provides very tasty foods as well as their stuffs are really nice and helpful. I would recommend to visit this resturants. They do have kids playground as well.

Food not edible. Fish fried without salt. In the 150g plaice portion, mostly just breadcrumbs. The portion costs almost 10 euros and is actually not edible. Currywurst just as terrible 😖So not recommended!

The ambience is quite nice. Unfortunately, the dish we ordered (Schnitzel Viennese style) was completely dried out and not edible. The food is rated too high with one star. I'm definitely not coming back.

That wasn't particularly tasty for us personally. When asked whether the fries with the schnitzel were freshly made, the answer was yes, but then the fries ended up on the plate from the warming bowl. Price performance is somewhat okay

Gute Gerichte zu fairen Preisen. Es findet eigentlich jeder was bei der Auswahl.

Wir konnten leider nichts essen und auch meinen Geburtstagssekt nicht trinken, weil das Restaurant offensichtlich nicht Kochmütze, sondern Schlafmütze heißt...🙈😉...macht um 17 Uhr zu, das passt prima für Rentner und Arbeitsscheue...ich kann aber frühestens um 17 Uhr kommen...sehr schade...deswegen auch keine Bewertung des Essens möglich. Ambiente gibt es auch nicht. Service kann man das auch nicht nennen. Vielleicht solltet Ihr mal über ein "geschlossen" - Lämpchen an den vielen Werbetafeln im Möbelhaus nachdenken, die einen zum Essen auffordern wollen...

Sehr schick, tolles Ambiente. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ich bestellte das Schlemmegericht des Tages. Etwas Krautsalat hat absolut gefehlt ...Gyros Teller...Gerne wieder. 4 Gourmetsterne von 5 nur weil es nicht stimmig war, weniger Pomnes , etwas Krautsalat

Frühstück ist miserabel. Kaum noch Auswahl, aufgebackene Brötchen. Vor Corona viel viel besser. Da kann man sich das Frühstück doch dirt sparen

Früher waren wir einige Male dort - vor allem wegen der diversen italienischen Vorspeisen. Wirklich ausgezeichnet und dazu noch erstaunlich preiswert. Bei unserem letzten Besuch waren wir enttäuscht. Jetzt gab es nur noch (mittelmäßiges) Kantinenessen. Schade!

Schönes Familien-Restaurant mit Selbstbedienung in der obersten Etage vom Möbelhaus Höffner. Gute und günstige Auswahl an Gerichten und Nachspeisen. Sehenswerte Einrichtung, barrierefrei, viel Platz, Außenterrasse für Raucher.

Schon eingerichtetes Selbstbedienungsrestaurant im Obergeschoss des Möbelhauses. Corona-bedingt gibt es zur Zeit nur ein reduziertes Angebot an warmen Speisen. Besonders zu empfehlen: Currywurst mit leckerer Soße und schön kross gegarten Pommes. Großes Angebot an Kuchen und verschiedenen Nachspeisen. Zur warmen Jahreszeit ist die Dachterrasse mit zum Teil schönen Ausblick auf Neuss geöffnet
