Edit: I really loved the quality of this restaurant and before entering a second night, I checked hours posted outside and continued to ask if they were open. Instead a gentleman said no on a Saturday night while others were seated or eating before closing (I just wanted takeout). While I respect the establishment, a simple sign could have been posted they won’t entertain guests past a certain point to help them make things easier so people don’t come in.

Very good Vietnamese restaurant. Very tasty pho soup, duck and rice noodle dishes. Friendly service and fair prices. We enjoyed being here.

Standard Vietnamese food, but they also had Japanese and Thai. Served very quickly.

Had the salmon bowl. It was tasty and also a great portion. The rice paper rolls could have had a little more flavor.

My wife and I have often bought food away from home here. We have therefore eaten many different vegetarian curries. Very tasty every time…and again and again

Diverse sushi selection, noodle dish is ok.

I was here for the first time. The Vietnamese restaurant is conveniently located and there is plenty of parking nearby. The interior is simple, but conveys a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is very extensive, but we wanted to eat sushi. We also ordered starter soup, which tasted pleasantly Asian, i.e. not Europeanized, like in so many other Asian restaurants. Sushi was fresh and probably actually made in the kitchen (not ready-made stuff from the supermarket). Great for sushi fans, personally I'm not that into it, but objectively good. And wasabi!!! THE hammer, very spicy, not Germanized (see above), so you should definitely have a drink nearby to wash it down with. As I said, I'm not a big sushi eater, next time I would go for a different dish, I was able to try duck and chicken, very tasty. The staff was nice and attentive. The only negative point: The kitchen took almost as long to prepare the delicious dessert (sesame balls with vanilla ice cream) as it did for the starter soup and main course combined. But we weren't on the run. Addendum: Overall, even better today, which of course was also helped by the fantastic weather (you can sit outside), but the starter and the sauce that went with it weren't quite MY taste. Vegetable roll with salmon and egg in it is okay, but a sauce that tastes like a ladle from the North Sea is not my thing. Whoever likes it. . . Next time - and I'll definitely come back - I'll just take something different.

Had the vegetarian summer rolls as a starter, having never had them before. Found it very tasty. I can recommend. Otherwise, the three of us shared a large plate of sushi. The quantity was okay. The taste is also completely fine. Nothing special but not bad either. Very nice service.

I had a delicious lunch here. Sushi are freshly prepared, look good and taste good. I'll be back.

We ordered our food from the restaurant to take home. Both the yellow and red curry were unacceptable. Tasteless, watered down, overcooked vegetables and the worst tofu we have ever been served. I then complained to the restaurant by telephone in a very respectful and friendly manner and asked for their goodwill. I was just told that there was nothing we could do and we had to live with it. We accept that accordingly and I recommend ordering somewhere else.

Very friendly service. The starter was the fried shrimp (incredibly tasty) and the main course was the pasta with beef. Large portion, very tasty. Including 2 cocktails, the final price was completely reasonable. I really like the atmosphere.

The food was so very good, I had the duck from F1 and the rolls from C4 I would have liked a bit of chili in F1 but still insanely good The only slight comment I have is that I didn't get a new glass when I got a new different beer

A very nicely decorated restaurant. The dishes, which increased significantly in price after the VAT increase, were OK. After such a significant price jump, you could have tried a little harder. The duck was a bit dry and fresh vegetables were a bit rare on the plate. It should also be mentioned that the service was very friendly and the food was delivered quickly, but after that no one came to the table to accept further drink requests. Simply ask whether there are any other requests (drinks). This also increases sales.

One of the many Asian options in kiel. This is near the arena and serves good vietnamese good. The starters are nice and the vietnamese drip coffee is authentic.

Very friendly service. However, I would have liked to have been able to react to our empty glasses. Our dishes were good and plentiful. The red curry with tofu wasn't too spicy. The Terriyaki duck was well seasoned. A bit boring. Adding some vegetables would definitely have enhanced the dish and made it more varied.

We often go to Ja Viet because, in my opinion, the price/performance ratio is right. When there is a lot to do, the service is a little less. Otherwise we were also asked whether it was tasty or whether we would like anything else. I really like the food here.

Very tasty food, good portions and nice service

I ordered Bún bò Nam Bộ and a Tuna Sushi Set. The Bún bò Nam Bộ, which I know from Vietnam, is served lukewarm, as it is on the menu. It arrived hot and was slightly off. Nevertheless, it tasted good and only gets criticism because I expected something different. The sushi was good, nothing special.

Unfortunately, the duck breast was a little too well done and therefore dry. A pity. The seaweed salad was great.

Thank you for super delicious food. We got bowls, sushi, spring rolls and coconut soup and it all tasted fantastic! Also their mango lassi and avocado lassi were delicious. The staff were also nice and welcoming. Thanks for tonight!

Food and service ok, price still reasonable

We stopped by spontaneously and were allowed to take a seat in the rather empty restaurant. But only for an hour and a half... then the table will be needed. OK! Food was very tasty and the portion was generous. Location also quite good. Only the service wasn't good. Unfriendly and inattentive. There was no feeling of welcome...

Except for the duck, the food was very tasty. The lady from the service was rather cold and unfriendly. Plates were cleared away very late, ordering dessert or drinks was difficult because you tend to be ignored. Very unfortunate. What good is a delicious meal if the service is unfriendly...

Pho is good and worthy. The curry is not good. The fried duck is so dry and not juicy at all. The curry is dilute and rich in flavour. The service and the atmosphere is very good.

Food very good. Price performance is right. In my opinion, it's number 1 among Kiel's Vietnamese, with the Sidewalk in Holtenauer! .

Very good food..... We ordered 3 large cokes, when we got them they were sugar free. They were exchanged for regular Cokes. But have never tried to get sugar free without asking for it

The sushi is not recommended here. You also have to pay close attention to ensure that you receive what you ordered.

I was in this restaurant for the first time today. Unfortunately, I didn't think it was that great. I ordered sushi for lunch and the soup that came with it. The soup was good, I have to say. But the sushi wasn't quite what I would have liked. It looked pretty good, but unfortunately it tasted dry, bland and fell apart when I picked it up. Also, I got the wrong food. I ordered a sushi menu with salmon, but got a vegetarian one with cucumber and avocado. I called the waitress and told her I got the wrong food. She apologized to me later, I said that I would just eat the sushi, but then I would also like to be charged the price for the food that I actually GOT, because it was cheaper. She agreed with me at that moment, unfortunately it was not taken into account in the end and I had to pay the price for the salmon sushi. A visit doesn't necessarily have to be repeated.

Had lunch today, the soup was bland and had hardly any ingredients, the dish was tasty, but the chicken pieces and the salad were very poor in quantity.

The salmon if the sushi was smelly and gone bad. We sent it back, but the owner still charged for it. Never again

Wir waren am dritten Advent im JaViet um 18:00h zu Gast. Das Restaurant war zu einem Drittel besucht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Preise angemessen. Das Ambiente ist...okay. Leider hat der Service noch einige Luft nach oben. Zwischen dem abräumen der Vorspeisen und dem servieren der Hauptspeisen vergingen mehr als dreißig Minuten. Auch das nachbestellen von Getränken gestaltete sich schwierig weil es der Bedienung an Aufmerksamkeit mangelt.

Das asiatische Essen war lecker(Mittagstisch) und reichlich. Der Preis absolut angemessen. Das Restaurant selber ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Ich war heute Abend das erste Mal hier, die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. DieRäumlichkeiten sind großzügig und nicht überladen ausgestattet. Unsere Fragen wurden freundlich und hilfreich beantwortet. Das Essen kam schnell,sah ansprechend aus und schmeckte uns sehr gut. Wir hatten Seafoodbowl, Sushi und Pho.Ich werde sicher gerne wiederkommen!

Der Seevice war etwas lahm, was das gute Essen wieder wett gemacht hat. Das Ambiente war eine Mischund aus Modern und Tradition, aber mehr modern.

Das Essen ist ganz gut und auch hübsch angerichtet. Der Service war leider (zumindest bei uns) ein wenig fragwürdig. Auf die Frage, ob ein Gericht auch ohne Fleisch oder Tofu gehen würde, würden wir ziemlich seltsam darauf hingewiesen, dass das nicht ginge. Auch wusste die Bedienung leider oft nicht, wofür die Bezeichnung stand (bei Sushi: Womit das dann gefüllt war etc.) Das stärkte das Vertrauen in den Laden nicht unbedingt. Alles in Allem war es schon okay, wird aber wahrscheinlich nicht unser Lieblingsladen

Waren Samstagabend für 50 Euro/Person hier essen. Nachdem es mit der Aufnahme der Bestellung etwas lange gedauert hat (Restaurant war voll), ging es dann doch zügig weiter. Quantität des Essens ist sehr gut. Lieber etwas weniger Essen, aber dafür besseren Geschmack. Da fehlt es an mehr Pepp der vietnamesisch-asiatischen Küche. An den deutschen Geschmack adaptiertes chinesisches Einerlei brauchen wir ja eigentlich nicht in einem vietnameschen Restaurant. Der gegrillte (Tinten)Fisch schmeckte nicht nach gegrillt. Für volle 5 Punkte muss definitiv noch was draufgelegt werden. Pho kann man dort allerdings sehr gut essen.

Überraschend leckeres Essen - nichts Besonderes, aber fein abgestimmt, nett angerichtet und mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Der Service war typisch asiatisch zurückhaltend und emotionslos, die Räumlichkeiten sauber und aufgelockert eingerichtet. Die Preise sind durchschnittlich und dem, was man dafür bekommt, mehr als angemessen.

Ein sehr schönes vietnamesisches Restaurant mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Dass Essen schmeckt gut. Liegt zentral in der Nähe der wunderino-arena. Für abends sollte man schon vorher reservieren, nachmittags geht es auch so. Bietet auch Mittagstisch an. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis super. Besuch lohnt sich.

Hier ist es immer lecker und sehr freundlich. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die Tempura Rolle Buddy Tamago vom vegetarischen Sushi und das rote Curry.

Wirkliche ein tolles Restaurant was uns immer wieder überzeugt. Die Auswahl ist groß und es gibt auch wirklich viele vegetarische Gerichte. Das Essen schmeckt wirklich himmlisch und ist sehr schön angerichtet. Die Wartezeiten sind genauso wie die Preise voll okay. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Serh angenehmes kleines Restaurant am Rand der Kieler Innenstadt. mit freundlichem Service. sehr leckerem Essen und schön udn stimmiger Einrichtung, leider gibt es manchmal sprachliche Schwierigkeiten bei der bestellaufnahme, doch nichts das sich nicht irgendwie klären lässt, das Essen, sämtlich lecker und im gesamten eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Lohnt sich für jeden der gerne Vietnamesich (asiatisch) isst!
