We were here for the first time. The service staff was very friendly, even though the hut was extremely full. As a customer, you didn't notice any stress. The food was also great. Ouzo was on the house. Even the children always got a “children’s ouzo” (KiBa). Class. We'd love to come back.

It was our first visit and also the last. The quality of the food was okay, but it didn't blow us away either. The service was terrible. The waiter said stupid things at every opportunity. In the end we were forgotten when we paid. All in all we wouldn't come back.

Yes, absolutely! Tzaziki good, but not "mega", also served too sparingly, there is also better.

One of the best Greek restaurants I know in Hamburg. The food is very good and reminds you of a nice evening in Greece! The service is super friendly and special requests are also professionally addressed when selecting the dishes! It's always a nice experience to eat there! A little creativity is required when parking, but there is a large Rewe Center opposite that takes 3 hours to park! Which makes it a little easier for normal people! The bus stop is right there, there is nothing in the way of Ouzo... I enjoy being there and meet up with friends there every now and then!

A nice, not too big restaurant where you can enjoy a wide selection of Greek dishes. We were here on a Sunday evening at the end of January and felt very comfortable and ate really well. As starters we ordered Dolmadakia (warm vine leaves filled with sheep's cheese) and Tirolo (sheep's cheese and Gouda croquettes with raspberry dip) and as main courses Souvlaki (spicy pork skewers) and Jannis-Bifteki (minced steak filled with sheep's cheese and gratinated with cheese/grilled tomatoes) . The service is attentive, warm and unobtrusive. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right (for two including drinks, espresso and tip under €70).

Very tasty food. The bifteki was homemade Mixed plate with gyros and bifteki is highly recommended. First there was a mixed salad and afterwards an ouzo on the house! Even though we didn't make a reservation, we found a cozy spot. Very friendly staff...

The staff was friendly. The mezze platter was delicious.

Despite making a reservation and confirming the number of people by phone on the same day, we got a table for 8 for 9 people plus a single table that couldn't be moved because of a pillar. Upon request, the tables were rearranged in another area so that we could sit together. The service was otherwise prompt and friendly, although one of two supplement changes had to be delivered later and a special request was not taken into account. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the bifteki wasn't cooked through.

A really great Greek restaurant ❣️❣️❣️ great starters, the main courses from the classic gyros or suvlaki to a variety of lamb dishes, grilled baby squid, half-grown squid or their arms, and liver specialties of lamb, veal and beef. The innkeeper is a super nice classic innkeeper, have a chat, invite you to have a schnapps, order, service, checkout, he is always rotating. When I visit my daughter in Hamburg, I will always come back here and enjoy the evening 👍🙏👍

Haben abends auf dem Heimweg hier Essen zum Mitnehmen vor Ort bestellt: Einmal Pommes ohne alles, einmal Lammkottelets mit Pommes. Wir haben nur sehr kurz warten müssen, dafür einen gemütlichen Tisch zum Warten erhalten plus Ouzo auf's Haus. Während der ~10min Wartezeit haben wir uns freundlich mit dem Besitzer unterhalten. Zuhause war das Essen ein Genuss. Mit dabei gab es einen hausgemacht Coleslawe, Brokkoli mit Soße, Tzatziki und (erneut) 2 kleine Fläschchen Ouzo auf's Haus. Die Pommes waren auf den Punkt und die Kottelets...was soll ich sagen... ich habe lange nicht mehr so zartes und perfekt gewürztes Lamm gegessen! Es war so hervorragend, dass ich ein Süßigkeitenpaket mit Dankeskarte packen und nochmal hin musste, um mit der Köchin und Jannis zu sprechen! Dieser Grieche ist empfehlenswert, menschlich und weiß, was einen guten Gastronom ausmacht. Zusatz: Als ich letztes Jahr hier vor Ort Essen war ist mir besonders die Wahrung der Gastronomieetikette und die zusätzliche Gastfreundschaft aufgefallen. Soll heißen: wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und an den Tisch begleitet, die Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen, das alkoholfreie Bier wurde richtig serviert (Flasche erst am Tisch eingefüllt! - dies passiert nur bei kompetentem und gut geschultem Personal, aus Gründen!), es wurde während der Mahlzeit nach Zufriedenheit und Bedürfnissen gefragt, das Brot wurde ohne Anrechnen nachgefüllt und wir wurden nach dem Essen auf Schnaps aufs Haus eingeladen. Zu keiner Zeit gab es das Gefühl lange auf den Kellner zu warten und auch der Besitzer war stets vor Ort um persönlich bei seinen Gästen nach dem Rechten zu sehen. So geht Gastronomie. - Und so schmeckt ein guter Grieche!

A very nice restaurant. My daughter and son-in-law invited the family to dinner after their civil wedding. We were able to eat privately in peace in a small alcove. From the ordering, to the food and the service, everything went smoothly. Even special requests, gluten-free, were no problem. There was a solution in the kitchen. I would like to come back again. I met the owner Jannis. He was a little darker than the others but very nice, personable and helpful. He also comes from Guinea. He told me very interesting things and facts about Guinea.

Today I was here for the first time with a particularly dear friend. We both chose the bifteki filled with sheep's cheese with metaxa sauce - once with French fries, once with rice. First of all there was a wonderful tomato soup with a cream topping, which was completely different and much better than we expected. And our main courses were also incredibly tasty and quite plentiful. The service was as funny as it was friendly, the furnishings were comfortable and in excellent condition, everything was beautifully clean and well-kept. Immediately upon entering, our vaccination certificate and identity card were seen (as of December 15, 2021, it is a 2G restaurant). Even though it was busy, we felt very comfortable. We would love to come back!

Very warm welcome and support😇 Atmosphere like in Greece. Dishes good, the sardines (for me they were gavros) very good. No high noise level even though every table was occupied later. We felt very comfortable and will be back...

You have to come to Hamburg from Mallorca to really enjoy authentic Greek food. It's pretty easy to get a fillet of beef, but I've never had such a juicy, well-seasoned gyro before. World class

The Jannis restaurant is losing more and more quality. The previously good cuisine no longer exists. We were very disappointed on our last three visits. Promised menus were not served despite pre-ordering and repeated confirmation. When eating take-away we discovered that inferior ingredients were used. The fish had to be improved. Since the one originally served was spoiled. No regrets from the staff. So there will be no new visit. No recommendation.

I had lunch there. It was very well attended, I ate a mix plate that was completely OK. Quality was good, yes I know better Greeks for my taste, but hey that's my opinion. You could choose a salad or a tomato soup in advance. I ate the tomato soup, wow that was the best I've had so far. Despite it being so busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food. And the staff was very friendly...so everything was great!!

And the wishes of the guests are taken into account. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. The whole team creates a feel-good atmosphere for the guest from the moment they enter the restaurant until they say goodbye, which helps ensure that the visit is remembered fondly. Wheelchair users can also visit the Jannis restaurant. To do this, you have to report briefly upon arrival so that the side entrance can be opened. This makes barrier-free access possible. I can highly recommend the Jannis restaurant.

Die breite Auswahl leckerer Vorspeisen macht es schwer genug Platz für die reichlichen und sehr guten Hauptgerichte zu lassen, bei denen sich für jeden Geschmack etwas findet. Herausragend ist das absolut herzliche und aufmerksame Team, immer super freundlich und schnell bei allen Wünschen und flexibel bei Änderungen!

Super Abendessen zu vernünftigem Preis. Gute Qualität des Essens, super nettes Personal und das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Im Vergleich zu anderen Griechen in der Umgebung hebt sich Jannis deutlich ab. Das äußert sich auch darin, dass das Restaurant stets voll ist. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ganz guter Mittagstisch für fairen Preis. Das Essen war okay, wobei ich schon besser griechisch gegessen habe. Der Service war sehr nett. Ich probiere es demnächst Mal am Abend.

Seit Jahren kommen wir hier gerne her. Das Essen ist immer ein Genus, das Personal und die Inhaber sind mehr als freundlich. Wir fühlen uns immer sehr gut aufgehoben. Das Essen ist durch die Bank weg sehr lecker.

Sehr gepflegtes Restaurant weisse Tischdecken echte Blumendeko sehr sauber. Reichhaltige Speisekarte und wechselnde Tagesangebote. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und alle sehr aufmerksam. Gemischte Meze und Babycalamari vorweg Fischteller und Lammfilet sowie Gyros in Metaxasauce alles sehr lecker und ansprechend präsentiert. Beilagensalat frisch und auch der Zaziki schmeckt sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Bestes Griechisches Restaurant. Setzt Maßstäbe. Ein absolut vollkommenes kulinarisches Erlebnis, vom ersten bis zum letzten Bissen. Das allermeiste hier ist hausgemacht und somit unvergleichbar, völlig außer Konkurrenz. Beeindruckend ist auch die Ouzo-Karte: eine halbe Seite mit über 10 verschiedenen Marken.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, das Essen kam 5 Minuten nach der Bestellung auch den Tisch und Essen war ok. Das Servicepersonal ist inkompetent und Bestellung von Getränken wurde vergessen. Dies war definitiv unser letzter Besuch hier, es ist extrem laut und Gartenplätze gibt es nicht.

Sehr freundlich und bemüht, das Essen war super und der Taziki erste Sahne. Wir kommen wieder.

Freundliche Bedienung, angenehme Atmosphäre und gutes Essen. Wir sind dort relativ oft zum Mittagstisch.

Mir hat das Essen nicht ganz so toll gefallen aber der Service war gut und das Ambiente war okay.. Wir wurden in ein Eckstück gesetzt und es war recht klein alles. Satt wurden wir, aber wiederkommen werden wir wohl eher nicht, da gibt es bessere.

Ich habe in meinem Leben schon viele Restaurants besucht, aber was Griechische Restaurants betrifft, habe ich noch kein Besseres als Jannis kennengelernt. Alleine schon der Krautsalat und das Tsatsiki sind spitzenmäßig, aber das Souvlaki ist der Hammer! Nicht so trocken wie bei den meisten anderen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.

Wir haben bei Jannis sehr lecker und sehr gut mit Freunden dort gegessen und wurden dabei noch bestens unterhalten. 👍🏻
