Restaurant Ital. in Bad Oeynhausen

My wife and I were in Bad Oeynhausen for Boxing Day and discovered this wonderful Italian restaurant by chance. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and attentive. This restaurant is very authentic and has that typical, genuine Italian flair.

We had made a reservation the day before, which was confirmed 10 hours before our arrival. Despite this, the staff seemed confused upon our arrival and gave us a table with garden chairs that was, shall we say, not very accessible, even though there were plenty of other tables available. The food was very good nonetheless. Unfortunately, after our meal, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink or anything else.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Despite having a reservation, no table was reserved for us, so a table belonging to a large group was taken and placed right in front of the entrance. The waiter took our order, but then we were forgotten. The obvious regulars, who arrived 20 minutes later than us, were served immediately and received their drinks right away. This table was directly behind ours, and the owner was personally serving them. We felt completely ignored. After 30 minutes, I approached the waiter and said we were leaving. After some stammering, I finally received an apology. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and we left with the feeling that who gets served and who doesn't is decided based on personal preference.

It's a shame he gave up the place.😪😪

Super delicious, always fresh, and always friendly service, as it's a family business. The ambiance is beautiful, enhanced even further by the nearby river and forest.
