Wir sind wieder sehr zufrieden. Wir haben dem Restaurant nochmal eine Chance gegeben. Denn vor einem Jahr waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Die Kinder bekamen ihr Essen zum Schluß. Und das Essen kam erst nach 1,5 Stunden.

Gibt überhaupt nichts zu beanstanden. Das Ambiente ist Geschmackssache...super

Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Das Essen war sehr lecker, frisch und schön angerichtet. Der Service war super freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr höflich. Man hat sich direkt wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Wartezeit war auch völlig in Ordnung. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre und auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Stammgast seit Ende der 200er und leider immer noch keine Bewertung abgegeben 🙈 Ich kann nur positive Sachen über dieses familiär geführte kroatische Restaurant sagen. Ein bisschen versteckt in Waging, aber sehr charmantes, liebevolles Restaurant. Eine alte Kunstschmiede die wo durch die riesigen Fenster und Architektur beeindruckt. Genau so wie das kroatische essen, sei es Pizza, Nudeln oder kroatische Fleischgerichte. Alles Tip top und fein 👌🍺😎 Besonders Preis - Leistung ist hervorzuheben, was nicht mehr alltäglich ist, in der heutigen Zeit 👍👌 Schöne Getränkeauswahl und kroatische Schnäpse. Kann es nur sehr empfehlen, sei es für Einheimische oder Feriengäste und Urlauber.

Stammkunde seit der ersten Stunde, leider bisher noch nie eine Google Bewertung jemals abgegeben, aber jetzt wirds definitiv Zeit 😊😁👍 Seit über 20 Jahren Stammkunde in den charmanten Restaurant. Sehr familiärer Umgang vom Personal. Die Kroatischen Gerichte sprechen für sich 😎👍 Vorallem die selbstgemachten Brote, Fladen, Knapperstangen sind ein Gedicht. Und Preis - Leistung in der heutigen Zeit sind besonders hervorzuheben 🙌👍 Ein wirklicher Geheimtipp für alle Gäste und Urlauber, die wo dieses charmante Restaurant noch nicht auf den Schirm haben, es lohnt sich 👍🍴🍻

Telefonisch sehr im Stress Pizza nach 30 min zur Abholung bereit. Belag nur in der Mitte. Nicht knusprig und neutral im Geschmack. Extrem unmotiviert bei der Abholung. Trotzdem Trinkgeld gegeben..... Gibt bessere in Waging. Schade....

Sehr köstliche essen und freundliche Bedienung.

Wir waren heute mit der Arbeit beim Essen. Service Top und Essen auch sehr gut und preisgünstig. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren jetzt schon dreimal dort und sind immer noch begeistert. Das Essen schmeckt toll und ist ausreichend. Die Preise stimmen. Nettes Personal sehr freundlich.

Gute Kroatische Küche, Pizzen, Nudelgerichte... reichliche Portionen und normale Preise, freundliches Personal, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Preis Leistung war top. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Essen (Istriaplatte für zwei Personen) war gut und für zwei Frauen vollkommen ausreichend. Es sieht alles sehr gepflegt und sauber aus.

Lokal ist in einer alten Kunstschmiede mit interessanten Arbeiten. Das Essen hat zwar etwas länger gedauert, aber es ist dafür frisch zubereitet, ausgefallen und superlecker.😋

Ich war als Traunsteiner heute zum ersten mal in diesem Restaurant, es war sehr kalt in dem Restaurant und das ganze Ambiente war doch sehr schlicht und kühl, (z.B. keine Tischdecken) eine Katze läuft permanent durchs Restaurant, das Essen war mittelmässig und ist der kroatischen Küche nicht ganz würdig, ausserdem waren die Pommes und der Krautsalat sehr stark versalzen, das Fleisch war auch sehr trocken, alles in allem kein großer Reinfall aber nochmal würde ich dort nicht speisen.

Sehr freundlicher Service, gutes Essen und die Preise passen. Jederzeit wieder.

Im Istria fühle ich mich immer sehr wohl. Der Service ist sehr gut, man ist immer aufmerksam dem Gast gegenüber, dass ist Essen hervorragend, mit einen unschlagbaren Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Ich kann das Istria nur weiterempfehlen!!!

Auf Grund der guten Bewertungen sind wir hier essen gegangen. Nachdem wir dieses Jahr nicht nach Kroatien kommen, fanden wir hier in Waging ein Plätzchen wie in Kroatien. Obwohl heute viel los war und alle bei dem schönen Wetter draußen sitzen wollten, haben wir ein schönen Platz draußen zugewiesen bekommen. Die ganze Mannschaft incl. dem Service ein herzliches Dankeschön für die Gastfreundschaft. Das Essen war super und frisch zubereitet. Wir hatten die mit Schafskäse gefüllte Pljeskavica und Pommes dazu. Ein Genuss hier einzukehren. Wir kommen wieder, auch wenn es erst nächstes Jahr wird. Uns hat es rund um gefallen.

We went there twice during our 10-day vacation. The price/performance ratio is simply right. The owners are extremely friendly and do their best. The food is super delicious, and there's a huge selection, from schnitzel and cevapcici to pizza and pasta. We tried everything and found it delicious. Plus, the price is fair. Top notch. The only thing that needs updating is the toilet, which, in my opinion, is much too small. Highly recommended!

I've been there for the first time in a while. Back then, at lunchtime on the weekend (Sunday?). Today, during the week, Wednesday evening. My verdict remains the same as back then. The staff were cheerful. Okay, they'd just returned from their summer break—so be it. As an individual guest, I felt very well served. The food is still very reasonably priced, despite the general price explosion in restaurants. The noise level is naturally higher in the two-story hall. In return, you get a special ambiance with handcrafted railings and pictures of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. There's also a ground-level beer garden in the summer. Briefly: Thank you and I'd be happy to come back. P.S.: I ordered a slivovitz (Croatian schnapps), but declined the second one when paying. I had to go... I didn't pay for it. I don't know if they always include a schnapps.

We ate here on vacation. Unfortunately, we (with a toddler) had to wait a relatively long time for our food (40 minutes), even though we had reserved a table at 5 p.m. The restaurant is a bit dated. However, everything was clean, including the restrooms. The food itself was good, but not exceptional, and the taste wasn't Croatian.

We're currently on vacation at Lake Waginger See and wanted to have some pizza again. We stumbled across this pizzeria by chance. The pizzeria is located in an industrial park, and the ambiance (outside) is typical of an industrial park. However, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, as is the outdoor area. The pizzas were delicious, one of the best we've ever had. The mixed salad was also very tasty, albeit different (completely without salad, but with plenty of coleslaw, tomatoes, etc.). We definitely recommend it, even if the ambiance outside isn't the perfect place for such a good pizza.

This is my favorite restaurant in Waging. Every year, this is our first stop when we come to Waging. I highly recommend the Knabberstangerl (snack sticks) with ajvar as a starter. Absolutely recommended.

We had two pizzas and one cevapcici. The food was delicious. The wait was a bit long, as two large groups were ordering food next to us. As an apology, we were offered an espresso and liqueur. The prices were absolutely reasonable, and everything was highly recommended.

We're thrilled: a great, simple restaurant with a fantastic menu, from Croatian cuisine to pizza, everything is fantastic. We've been coming here for vacation for 11 years now, and from the first day to today, the quality has always been the same. We've never had a bad meal in all those years. When the weather is nice, there's plenty of space outside; if the weather is bad, you should make a reservation for inside. The atmosphere is friendly and authentic, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

We've enjoyed coming here for years on vacation, and now we're back after a three-year break, and it's still incredibly delicious, no matter what you eat. We've never had better spaghetti pomodoro anywhere else. The service and chef are incredibly friendly and attentive. Therefore, whenever we're here, one or more meals at Istria are a must.

Five of us had dinner today. The starter comes with the main course, and the two plates for two people were abysmal in taste. Cevapcici and the pljeskavica were frozen ready-made products prepared in a deep fryer. The other meats on the plate were dry and tasteless. That restaurant will never see me again!

While visiting Lake Waginger See, we wanted to eat out. So we started searching for nearby restaurants on Google. Istria, Croatian cuisine. At first glance, the ambiance was nothing more than a beer garden with wooden tables and chairs without any decorations or anything like that. A second glance confirmed this. The ordering and delivery of the drinks and food were quick, and we barely had to wait. I doubt now whether spaghetti carbonara or various pizzas are typical for Croatia. However, the Croatian dishes were very thinly represented on just two pages. My meal was very simple and tasteless: pork stuffed with raw onions and mushrooms. My family's meal was also nothing special and very poorly seasoned. The price for three small children's portions, two regular adult portions, and five drinks...just under €90. All in all, not worth a second visit.

I've been to a few Croatian restaurants and I've been to Croatia several times. The Istria restaurant is a little different but very good. If it takes time from the time you order until the food arrives on the table, then it's not a reason to complain that it's taking a long time, it's a confirmation that the food is freshly prepared. It tasted exactly the same and the great service gave us a great evening. We'll be back!

For the eighth year in a row, we were on holiday in Waging am See for two weeks and ate at Istria every day. As always we were very satisfied. As every year, the service was very attentive and super hospitable so that you feel absolutely comfortable here. If something was wrong, the problem was solved without any difficulty and to your complete satisfaction. Despite Corona, there are still good portions at reasonable prices and the food still tastes just as good as in previous years, especially the Cordon Bleu with delicious ham and lots of cheese, the Hawaiian pizza, the baked champions, the baked cauliflower, but also the Viennese Schnitzel, the Gorgonzola Schnitzel and the Lasagne Con Funghi are really recommended. A visit here is definitely worth it. We are really looking forward to eating here again in our regular restaurant on our next vacation. Kind regards from Leverkusen

I have been to your store several times and have been very satisfied. However, I would still like to order food there, but when you call, no one ever answers the phone, and that has always been the case up until now. That can't be possible! Do you want to earn money too or not…?

Best restaurant with great food

August 24th The restaurant was very busy, so we had to wait about an hour for our food. The drinks were served quickly. The dishes served afterwards (Cevapcici and Pljeskavica) were very good and sufficient. The price-performance ratio is also right here.
