Ein tolles bayerisches Restaurant, das wir jedes Mal im Urlaub mit großer Freude besuchen! Das regionale Essen ist hervorragend – frisch, authentisch und unglaublich lecker zubereitet. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe gekocht wird. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den außergewöhnlich freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Das Lokal selbst hat im Außen- und Innenbereich eine schöne rustikale Atmosphäre, ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Genau so stellt man sich echte bayerische Gastfreundschaft vor. Für uns gehört ein Besuch hier inzwischen fest zu jedem Urlaub dazu – und wir freuen uns jedes Mal schon darauf, wiederzukommen. Klare Empfehlung!

Ich hatte eine Schweinshaxe in XL. Diese war mega kross und lecker. Die Portion war eine Herausforderung. Ein Schönrammer Pils war natürlich ein must have. Ein 0,5 l Bier ist hier über ein Euro günstiger als bei uns im Weserbergland. Das ist schon eine Hausnummer. Der Wirt war echt gut drauf. Diese bayrische Mundart ist einfach super.

Typische "Kneipe". Alte Möblierung und viele Schnapsflaschen als Deko. Riecht noch nach Rauch, vermutlich aus alten Zeiten. Wir waren heute zu 2. einer von 3 besetzten Tischen, am Sonntagmittag. Kennt ihr die Leute die immer das richtige Essen bestellen? Mein Mann ist so einer. Gamsgulasch mit Spätzle, ich habe probiert, wirklich lecker. Mein Spargel mit gebratenen Rehrücken war schlicht handwerklich schlecht. Das Reh war trocken und so durch wie Schuhsohle. Der Spargel wurde ungefähr genauso lange gekocht wie das Reh, die Hollondaise war üppig, aber geschmacklich eher Kategorie Packung. Die Kartoffeln vorgekocht und aufgewärmt. Sogar den dekorierten Salat konnte man nicht essen, das billige Öl in der Salatsauce schmeckte man leider extrem durch. Für 29,90 EUR die Portion sagen wir mal eine Fehlentscheidung von mir. In so einer Kneipe isst man auch Currywurst und Pommes. Einzig: Das frisch gezapfte Schönrammer Zwickl war ein highlight.

Preis Leistung ist das Gasthaus unübertrefflich! Für sein Geld bekommt man super leckeres frisches Essen. Die Fleischqualität ist super. Das Gemüse und der Salat schmeckt auch frisch zubereitet. Der Ober und der Gastwirt sind wahnsinnig freundlich! Unser Hund war auch herzlich Willkommen. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen! Macht weiter so!

Heute kurzentschlossen eingekehrt. Tollen Abend verbracht mit lecker Essen und super Gastlichkeit. Ich komme gern wieder.

Sehr freundlich und tolles Gasthaus. Schnitzel is lecker und der Preis für heutige Zeit gut. Wir waren mit ner größeren Gruppe dort, vielleicht gut 50 Leute. Bissl schade war, dass des Essen sortiert ausgeliefert wurde - so waren die mit Schnitzelvariante 1 und 2 schon lange fertig - bevor Schnitzelvariante 5 ausgeliefert wurde. Dafür hatten wir sehr gutes Bier :) Ich schau wieder hin!

Wer der Meinung ist, dass hier Soßen nicht selbst gekocht werden hat keine Ahnung vom Kochen. Leckeres Champignonrahm-Schnitzel im Biergarten mit klasse Personal zu fairen Preisen. Was will man mehr?

Genau so stelle ich mir eine gemütliche Gaststätte vor! Ein uriges Ambiente und originelle Deko! Ein Wirt und Mitarbeiter die mit Humor auf Humor reagieren. Gastfreundlichkeit von der ersten Minute an. Eine Speisekarte mit leckerem regionalen Angebot und dazu eine ergänzende Tageskarte mit Leckereien. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut. Die frisch zubereiteten Speisen sind top. Die Küche kann ihre Arbeit. Ein großes Lob! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Grüße an den "Frankfurter Bub"!

Das Essen war einfach nur richtig lecker und hat unsere Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen. Sicherlich, die Geschmäcker sind verschieden aber wer auf gut bürgerliche Küche steht und ein rustikal gemütliches Ambiente mag, der ist hier genau richtig. Und auch der Wirt selbst, sowie das Personal waren einfach nur herzlich gastfreundlich! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen

Wir haben auf der Urlaubsrückreise einen Zwischenhalt auf dem Campingplatz in Waging gemacht. Ankunft war um 17.00 Uhr. Geplant war eine schnelle Pizza bei einem der ansässigen Restaurants. Zum Glück waren diese bereits saisonbedingt geschlossen – ansonsten hätten wir den Kupferkessel verpasst. Noch mehr Glück hatten wir, dass ein Tisch frei war (Tischreservierung empfohlen). Der kleine Gastraum ist urig eingerichtet und wurde mit modernen Elementen dezent erweitert. Man fühlt sich in vergangene Zeiten versetzt, als würde man sich zu Mutter an den Küchentisch setzen. Wir freuen uns, dass es solche Gastwirtschaften noch gibt. Obwohl man als „Saupreiß“ erkennbar war, wurde man herzlich willkommen geheißen.😉 Der Wirt übt seinen Beruf mit voller Hingabe aus – Gastfreundschaft steht hier an oberster Stelle. Die Speisekarte bietet eine sehr gute Auswahl, sodass es schwerfällt, zwischen den leckeren Gerichten zu wählen. Ergo: Man muss eben öfter im Kupferkessel einkehren. Donnerstag ist Schnitzeltag – das war unser Tag. So viel Glück an einem Tag! Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet. Die Schnitzel sind keine Massenware – jedes ein Unikat. Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) haben eine Vorspeise, vier Hauptgerichte, vier Getränke und zwei Nachspeisen genossen und die 76 € dafür gerne bezahlt. Die Preise sind moderat und für das leckere Essen sowie den hervorragenden Service mehr als angemessen. An diesem Abend waren viele Einheimische dort essen, was für mich insgesamt für die Qualität des Lokals spricht. Es war ein sehr genussvoller Urlaubsabschluss. Vielen Dank an das Team vom Kupferkessel! Beim nächsten Urlaub in Waging am See werden wir uns wiedersehen – wir freuen uns bereits jetzt darauf. P.S. Nur Barzahlung im Lokal möglich.

Unfortunately, it wasn't our place. If it says with sauce, I expect sauce! If it says in homemade curry sauce, I expect curry sauce!!! Not a red gypsy with a few curry crumbs on top. There were 6 people, but unfortunately everyone was very disappointed. The mushroom sauce was just thickened mushrooms on the meat. But where was the sauce??? We would have liked to order more drinks after 20 minutes, but none came. "Draft beer?" Yes, but not today because it's raining," was the response. I grew up in Waging. We loved this place. Visited again after many years. It was a total flop. Tip: You should stick to the menu.

I ate the pasta and vegetable stir-fry for about €14. Sorry, it won't fill you up. It's a starter in terms of quantity, and the price is a main course. Sorry, no points for that. Chef and waitress: please try to eat it yourself and see if you can fill yourself up. Compare it to one of the many schnitzel dishes for €12.34: they'll fill you up. => In Bavaria, vegetarians can only eat cheese spaetzle.

Very friendly, even to our dog. The roast pork was very tender, and the pumpkin soup was flavorful. We felt at home here, and this won't be the last time.

Good drinks, decent food... basically everything was great... if it rains, a reservation is essential, otherwise you won't get any food...

The ambiance and service are good, but the food could be improved. We had a schnitzel that tasted okay and a bread dumpling with mushrooms that wasn't particularly tasty. So, if you're looking for something special, you won't really be rewarded here.

As far as I understand, only the beer garden is open in summer. You have to order at the drinks counter, get your own drinks, and the food is brought to you. Not for those who like to be waited on. Very friendly staff. If we're ever in Waging again, we'll definitely go back.

Restaurant for schnitzel fans. Many different schnitzel variations (no veal). The fries, spaghetti bolognese, and cheese spaetzle are delicious! Dessert was excellent! The salad was fresh, but the dressing lacked flavor. Reasonably priced food.

Delicious food in the beer garden. We had wild garlic schnitzel with tagliatelle and Bavarian roast pork with dumplings. The food was simply fantastic. Ordering and payment are made at the drinks counter in the beer garden; drinks are self-service, and the food is then brought to your table. One thing to note: you can only pay in cash here.

I'm a bit surprised by all the positive reviews, which I can only explain by the fact that you get a lot for little money here. Otherwise, from the poor ambiance, right on the street, to the very long wait times (an hour from ordering to food), it's not at all convincing. But the most impressive thing is the food: In our group of six, only one person enjoyed it, and the salads and soups in particular are absolutely subpar. I wouldn't recommend it!

Once you get used to the system, it's fine. Drinks and food are ordered at the kiosk, you bring your own drinks, and food is brought to you.

We actually wanted to have a leisurely dinner here. We had personally gone to the restaurant that morning and met a gentleman working there. We wanted to reserve a table. We were told that it wasn't necessary; it wasn't busy at 5:30 p.m. and we would be able to get a seat, but it would be more difficult later. We asked twice if we could please make a reservation. We were repeatedly told that it wasn't necessary. We went to the restaurant that evening and arrived at 5:20 p.m. No, there was absolutely no room, and they wouldn't be able to keep up with the food! Oops? Well, this isn't customer-oriented! So we had to leave in the rain with two small children who were actually looking forward to schnitzel! Further arrogance from the proprietor definitely makes us not want to come back!

My husband and I ate at the Kupferkessel during our vacation and were very impressed. The food was delicious and you could tell it was freshly prepared. My roast pork was tender as butter, and the bread dumplings were also delicious. My husband also really enjoyed the hunter's schnitzel with fries. The service staff was friendly, very helpful, and courteous. Since we happened to be there on a Thursday, we were lucky that Thursdays are always schnitzel day, when all schnitzels are offered at a discount. The dining room was also very quaint and comfortably furnished. Although the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible, we will eat there again on our next vacation, as the value for money is good and the service doesn't suffer as a result. I rather had the feeling that the people here really care about the well-being of their guests. You only have to get your own drinks from the bar in the beer garden.

We were there two weeks ago, not knowing that you had to get your own drinks and place your food order there. The owner was very arrogant and said that self-pickup was at the bottom of the menu...the salad was inedible, underdressed, and ice cold. The sauce for the schnitzel was completely greasy. The neck steak was a single lump of fat. I don't recommend this place. The food used to be very good, but that was a long time ago.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time on Thursday. We were deeply impressed by the food and the service. We've rarely eaten such delicious schnitzel at such a low price. The self-service drinks menu is also a great way to save on staff costs and offer reasonable prices. Keep up the good work, we'll be back.

A small, pleasant beer garden in a residential area. The beer and schnitzel were excellent. Since it was very busy during rush hour, it understandably took a while for us to get our food. Despite the rush, the service was extremely friendly. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime!

He sends his employees out in a very rude tone, which I think is inappropriate, especially in front of customers! The ambiance could be better, as everything is very old and doesn't look good. It needs a facelift. There's a lot of junk lying around that really needs to be removed, in my opinion. Otherwise, everything's fine.

Long wait (>1 hour) for food. Soup/sauce was not homemade, but mixed. You can clearly see that there are no trained restaurateurs in charge here. OK in a pinch, but not an experience. PS: The owner's answer speaks volumes. If you can look into the kitchen through the window in the parking lot and there are ready-made beef bouillon and ready-made sauces from the tetra pack on the work surface, you don't need to ask any further questions.

I can only agree with the many positive reviews. A small, cozy pub/restaurant, super nice host. The food was absolutely delicious and the value for money was simply great. We had the cream roast and the goose breast plus a dessert each of apple rings and plums with ice cream. The menu is only an A4 sheet, but offers something for every taste. Absolutely recommended, will come again when we are in Waging!

Unfortunately a failure! The onion schnitzel was garnished not only with onions, but also with all the oil in which they were fried. The fries were anything but crispy as a side dish anyway, but the oil from the onions made them completely inedible. This culinary adventure was complemented by the commanding landlady, who insulted and questioned her very hard-working employee in front of the guests at every opportunity and chased her from A to B without rhyme or reason.
