Restaurant Imota in Neuwied

I have to honestly say I was disappointed. It started when I had to call a waitress to order a drink while I was waiting for my friends. The soup of the day as a starter was barely lukewarm, and unfortunately this problem continued with the main course, which was also only served lukewarm. A friend even had to remind him twice about his ordered drink. Overall the food was mediocre due to the temperature. In addition, there were significant discrepancies in billing. Even though the employee had taken the order correctly, the items on the receipt were sometimes completely different.

We've ordered take-away again for a while now, well, what can I say... one dish was completely wrong, I ordered Bamja ma lame, but only bamia, a vegetarian version of the dish. I thought, it's okay, I'll just eat that, but the meal was pure disappointment, you expect the taste and aromas of spices that are found in Arabic cuisine and you're looking forward to it, but in vain. It was simply a liquid goulash sauce with a few pieces of Bamia in it. It's a shame, I've eaten better there.

We were here again after a long time. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly and quick. As before, the food was super tasty and authentic, and the price was reasonable. We really enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, there is also a fly in the ointment. The quiet, instrumental pop music was irritating and didn't really fit. Despite our age of 50+, the young waitress was on our first name basis throughout. Hints between the lines were ignored or not understood. That was very inappropriate and left a negative aftertaste.

The atmosphere is very nice. The service was always friendly. The starter was very tasty. Very nicely prepared and a culinary delight in terms of taste. The only thing that wasn't good was the bread. Unfortunately it crumbled when I separated it so I don't know it when I go out for an Arabic meal. The meat from the main courses is very tender. In terms of taste it was very weak in taste. We had to wait a long time even though we ordered in front of a family with 2 children.

The food is upscale Turkish cuisine. The food is good, but unfortunately the operator doesn't care about the acoustics in the restaurant.

We ate here again today for a long time and were very disappointed. We had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks while the tables next to us already got their starters, even though the guests came after us and also ordered after us. The drinks sat on the counter for 20 minutes while the waiter just stood there with his arms crossed and did nothing. Our starter was completely forgotten and not brought even when we asked. The food came after 1 hour. The side salads were forgotten and 2 of 4 dishes came differently than ordered. We weren't asked for any more drinks and had little motivation to order dessert because we didn't want to wait forever for it again. After the meal we were asked about our satisfaction and we were honest. The excuse was that there was a new chef today who was working on a trial basis today. We didn't understand what the chef had to do with the service. Our table was then only half cleared and the waiter stood idle next to the counter with his arms crossed. It's a shame, Imota was one of my favorite restaurants. In the future I'd rather eat somewhere else.

Very tasty starter plate The main course of lamb was also really tasty. Service nice and attentive I could have skipped the surprise dessert but the rest was great. Price performance was also very good. We'd love to come back.

Eating here is like intermittent fasting! 😊 At least between the drinks, the dessert and the starter! 30 minutes...somehow the service wasn't having its best day. Food very tasty as usual. Manageable operation, which could not have been due to the unusually long waiting time. This is now our 4th visit and the service is getting slower and slower. Therefore important: I spoke to the boss and he had a 100 percent believably open ear!😊

We were a group of 7 people on a Thursday evening and decided to eat there because we had good experiences from previous meals. But this time it was disappointing, we had to wait a long time for the first course, then for the drink, then much later the food came, 3 times the steak was fried, we complained about it, and were served a completely new plate, which was very attentive, but the people sitting next to us at the table were already there finished painting, man apologized profusely. But what happened is done.

Friendly hotel breakfast room style atmosphere. In a 3-course meal, the starters and dessert are stronger than the main course. The appetizer plate is a great all-rounder of flavors. The main courses are more reminiscent of simple kebab, without much sophistication. The portions of the desserts are oversized. In terms of taste it was a great experience, except for the weaker main courses. But the service and ambience delivered too many faux pas. Wrong order was delivered for starter, forgot to order dessert but delivered later, in the main course instead of mint garlic yoghurt there was just sour cream without anything. Cold plates, lukewarm dishes. Broken plates (chipping, cracked, etc.) and worn-out cutlery and glasses in every course. Behind the benches, dead flies pile up on thick layers of dust. The brand image simply does not match reality. But the price is really pleasant and fair.

Super friendly service. According to our taste, the seasoning of the dishes was a bit bland or non-existent. In our opinion, garlic goes well with lamb. According to the menu, for our dishes with minced lamb and lamb skewers, a yoghurt sauce with garlic should be poured over the food. However, we were each given a bowl of natural yogurt (?), which in our opinion had no contact with garlic whatsoever. Maybe we had different expectations, but it was just too bland for us. Basically, the food was good, there was plenty of everything and everything was ok in terms of price!

The Imota restaurant is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Neuwied. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is simply delicious. I've been here several times and each time I haven't been disappointed. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes. I highly recommend Imota and look forward to returning again soon. The delivery service is also fast and reliable, I got my food delivered after an operation, in the usual quality and, above all, warm.

Everything was very fresh and extremely tasty. The prices are totally fair. The service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy. I only have one mini review: “Due Tabule had a lot of lemon, but I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be. The eggplant at Maqlube was slightly bitter. The rest was more than perfect. It's a shame that we don't have such a good Arabic restaurant in Frankfurt. Otherwise I would be a regular customer of yours.

Unfortunately, the review of the Imota restaurant is a bit mixed: The highlight of the meal was the appetizer - very tasty and with many (for our palate) small dips that were convincing with their unusual spices and taste. This alone would have been worth 5 stars! Unfortunately, the main course was quite disappointing - the dish Sish Tawok, a chicken skewer with grilled vegetables and rice or fries, actually consisted of the grilled skewer (the chicken was very tasty), a very small handful of French fries and not even half a grilled pepperoni to go with it was still cold! Talking about “grilled vegetables” on the menu is misleading. Offering the whole thing for 16.50 is pretty steep. On top of all this, there was also a waiting time of a good 2 hours, during which no further drinks were asked, nor was any information given about the serving of the main course. Only after request was it served. The excuse given was a wedding at the house, which is what we should have been told. It didn't happen, it can happen, but when all the guests at the other tables who arrived later get their food beforehand, I wonder why it only took so long for us. It's a shame, after the very good starter plate we expected more!

We were at Imota again and have to say, the food (rump steak 400gr) was very tasty👍. The staff is very friendly, we had a nice evening.

Four of us went here for dinner. Price-performance was right. All dishes were very tasty. The starter plate is particularly recommended. Everything was explained nicely by the waitress, as we didn't know some of the dishes. We'd love to come back.

Hello everyone We were at Imota Essen again today, everything was great as always!! Large portions, super tasty, nice service. Rice for Valentine's Day in pink! We will be back. Today we had dinner at Imota, there was chicken skewer, salad and fried vegetables. Super tasty, large portion, the price was ok too. The service was very friendly, so this was a very good experience, really recommended,

A little better soundproofing would be good for the dining room. The food and service were very good, especially the hand cut fries.

We've been there several times, but the service last time was very bad, something we've never had there before. Over an hour for a drink and a dessert that apparently wasn't prepared at all because we were forgotten. You would expect an apology, but that wasn't the case either.

The mixed starter plate is a MUST for Syrian cuisine, especially with the delicious, fresh bread!

Wir hatten einen sehr leckeren Vorspeisenteller. Beim Hauptgang waren die meisten zufrieden. Meine Schwiegertochter und ich hatten Gemüsespiesse die leider überhaupt nicht gewürzt und total verbrannt waren.Haben fast alles auf den Tellern gelassen und auch gesagt,das wir das nicht essen konnten.Es wurde gesagt,man gibt es weiter an die Küche.Bezahlt haben wir die Spieße aber trotzdem und bekamen auch keinen Ersatz. Das fanden wir sehr schade zumal wir schön öfter im Imota waren und eigentlich immer zufrieden waren. Um nochmal Getränke zu bestellen musste die Bedienung immer gerufen werden. Schade,unsere bisherigen Erfahrungen im Imota waren viel besser.

Leider 5 mal Pommes bestellt und 5 mal Reis bekommen. Es sollten die Pommes nachgereicht werden, die sind nie angekommen. Schade.....

Das Fleisch war wie Pape,nie wieder!

Grillteller mit Brennpaste. 1. Besuch natürlich aufgrund der Ausstrahlung im TV. Als wir reinkamen, waren nur 3 Tische besetzt. Trotzdem wurde man nach einer Reservierung gefragt da ja alles ausgebucht sei. Vorspeise Probierteller war lecker, wir haben uns von dem Hausgemachten Lavaş etwas nachreichen lassen. Hauptspeise: gemischter Grillteller für 2. Leider nicht Preis/Leistung entsprechend. Meiner Meinung nach zuviel Hähnchen und wenig Lamm und Rind. Hier wurde dazu gekauftes Lavaş serviert, was ich nicht verstehe wenn man doch selbst leckeres herstellt. In der Mitte des Grilltellers ein paar Saucen und eine Tonschale. Das war wohl Brennpaste, welche nicht angezündet wurde. Die Brennpaste hat aber auch Spuren an Fleisch und Lavaş hinterlassen... essen ungenießbar. Auf Nachfrage wurde es runtergespielt mit einem kleinen Entschuldigung. Trotzdem vollen Preis verlangt und keine Entschädigung. Der Mund brennt mir immer noch, komme nicht nochmal. Service leider unterirdisch, möchte nicht wissen wie es ist wenn der Laden wirklich mal voll ist.

Leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung, schönes Ambiente, schneller Service - wir waren zum ersten, aber bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort!

Von 8 Personen waren nur 2 zufrieden. Einer hatte falsches Essen bekommen und nach Reklamation nochmal das selbe Essen bekommen. Pommes waren Fett durchtränkt. Fazit : Essen nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir waren spontan auf das Restaurant mit arabischem Buffet gestoßen. Dieses ist sehr zu empfehlen. Besonders das Lamm!

Schönes Restaurant mit arabischer Küche. Das Essen war solide und handwerklich gut gemacht. Der Service war nicht gut. Eine lange Wartezeit aufs Essen wurde vorher nicht kommuniziert. Eine Bestellung von weiteren Getränken war mangels Bedienung nicht möglich. Nach zwei Stunden haben wir dann mal nachgefragt. Von daher leider nur 3 Sterne. Längere Wartezeit ist ja kein Problem wenn man es vorher weiß und sich drauf einstellen kann.

Das Restaurant war so gut wie voll, dementsprechend war die Geräuschkulisse auch etwas lauter, da keine Abtrennungen existierten. Dennoch konnte man sich gut unterhalten. Das Interior war orientalisch eingerichtet. Viele schöne bunte Lampen. Nun zum Essen: wir hatten einen kleinen Probierteller mit insgesamt vier verschiedenen Dips und dazu gab es Brot. Meine Hauptspeise hieß „Shish Kebab“ (Nr. 30). Es kam mit Salat, Knoblauchjoghurt, einer halben Tomate, ein gegrillter Lammhackspieß und Reis (wahlweise Pommes). Das Fleisch war für mich perfekt gegrillt, sodass noch Fleischsaft vorhanden war. Sehr lecker!

Der Service ist sehr freundlich und ungezwungen, könnte aber ein kleines bisschen aufmerksamer sein. Insgesamt aber locker 5 Sterne für das gesamte Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Am Feiertag und Wochenende gibt's Buffet. Tolle Idee um die Gerichte zu probieren. Fleisch und Fisch werden nach Auswahl frisch gemacht und an den Tisch gebracht. Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert alles reichlich vorhanden.

Dachte zuerst, dass 35€ fürs buffet etwas viel wären. Aber Softdrinks und bier waren ebenfalls im preis enthalten! das essen war richtig lecker und die leute super nett!! kann man nur empfehlen und wer nicht hier war, sollte es mal ausprobieren:-)! daumen hoch!!

Eine richtige Alternative zu den Klassikern wie Italienisch, deutsch, asiatisch... hier mal eine Art "Küche des nahen Ostens" zu probieren... mein Geheimtipp. Sehr nettes Personal... gute Zutaten... Leckere Gerichte... und viele neue Geschmäcker. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Leckeres Essen und freundliche zuvorkommende Bedienung, Top! Besonders erwähnenswert ist auch das es hier Tische gibt die mit einem Rollstuhl gut unterfahrbar sind, was leider nicht selbstverständlich ist.

Wir wurden nicht nach einem Corona-Status gefragt. Waren mit 6 Personen das erste Mal dort. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, fast alle Tische voll. Das Essen von allen war sehr lecker. Wir haben uns durchprobiert. Es ist wirklich alles zu empfehlen, von Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch. Das Personal war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant ist optisch sehr schön gemacht, mit viele kleine Details aus 1001 Nacht. Jedoch war es sehr laut, bei der hohen Anzahl der besetzen Tische. Da könnte man vielleicht noch etwas optimieren. Wir kommen wieder.

Absolut begeistert! Dieses orientalische Restaurant ist ein wahrer Genuss. Die exquisiten Aromen der Gerichte entführen einen direkt in den Orient. Das freundliche Personal und das zauberhafte Ambiente machen den Besuch zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne her! Ein kulinarischer Höhepunkt!

Wir waren jetzt zum wiederholten Male hier und ich muss sagen, wir sind sehr gerne hier. Man bekommt tolles Essen in einem schönen Ambiente von extrem freundlichem Personal. Dazu kommt das die Preise hier absolut angemessen sind Wer also Mal was anderes als Italienisch oder chinesisch essen möchte kommt hier absolut auf seine Kosten. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert

Erfahrung der Extraklasse! Wir waren an einem Samstag (Mittagstisch) hier Essen und waren total begeistert. Man kann zwischen Buffet und Karte wählen. Beim Buffet sind sogar Getränke (Softdrinks, Bier) frei. Es gibt eine riesige Auswahl, was für mich als Neuling der arabischen Küche optimal war, um alles Mal probieren zu können. Das Personal war besonders höflich und hat dadurch den Besuch abgerundet. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Ausgesprochen gutes Personal, super Essen. Nachtrag: Wir waren vor zwei Wochen nochmal dort und ausser von unserem Dessert waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Der schwarze Tee ohne Ankündigung mit Zimtnote, auf der Vorspeisenplatte anstatt Olivenöl nicht mal qualitatives Sonnenblumenöl. Beim Kassieren nicht mal die Frage ob es geschmeckt hat. Schade das war schon einmal deutlich besser hier.
