We felt very comfortable there, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious 😋

The restaurant was empty (2/3 of the seats were empty), and yet we (two people) were turned away because there were no seats available. That only happens in the East—and I'm writing this as an East German. Better get yourself a delicious bratwurst at the cable car.

The location and view are good, but unfortunately, that's about as far as the positive aspects of this place go. When we were there, the service seemed completely overwhelmed. We'd been sitting there for 20 minutes before no one had asked us for drinks or handed us menus. We quickly got the menus ourselves, but had to wait another 20 minutes before someone came over to take our order. The drinks arrived relatively quickly, and the food didn't take long either. It should be noted, though, that the food didn't arrive at everyone's table at the same time, which is a shame when you want to eat together. I ordered cheese spaetzle, which was advertised on a Bavarian special menu. I was really looking forward to it, but I didn't get what I expected. My cheese spaetzle definitely didn't have any real cheese in it; they should have been called cream spaetzle or something similar. All in all, the service was the worst part of the entire restaurant experience. Not a single smile, not a kind word, and even a special request for a vegan in our group was completely ignored. I wouldn't eat there again if I were in the area. I would advise everyone to buy something to eat at one of the stalls; it would certainly be cheaper and probably taste a lot better!

I was there at 6:30 p.m. and wanted dinner – unfortunately, the door was locked, with no further notice about the sudden closure. According to the signage, service is from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. between April and October. Too bad – I'll have to come back and have better luck...

Incredibly expensive...€25 for a mushroom schnitzel...it was tiny, with very little sauce, which you had to search for. A mushroom was chopped into pieces in the sauce (5 pieces). My "large" salad would have passed as a larger side salad in Frankfurt. €15 for that???? Really awful, what happened there. Never again. A rip-off can also be delicious and with better value.

I'm so sad. I ordered a small water (without any additional information) for myself and my 2-year-old daughter. What did I get? Sparkling water. Did I mention it? No, unfortunately not, because I was so busy with my daughter and just wanted something to drink. But was I asked? No. They brought me the water, then I said, oh, I wanted still water. Then the man said, "Well, they should have said that," then I asked if it could be changed. He said, "No, it's already open." Then I drank the bad-tasting sparkling water because I was thirsty. My daughter, of course, didn't like it at all, but thank goodness there are other stores there where I can get decent water for my child. Afterwards, my boyfriend was left sitting for over 15 minutes while I got something to drink (after we'd eaten). During that time, everyone else was being served, and my boyfriend kept wanting to pay and come over to us. My conclusion: Because I only said "water" instead of "still water," I was made to feel guilty, and my boyfriend had to wait longer. I understand the stars. Not recommended. Instead, get something from the stands there.

Beautiful view if you have a window seat or, if the weather is nice, sit on the terrace. Unfortunately, the staff doesn't greet you and is otherwise unfriendly. The gnocchi were swimming in grease, the goulash was partially dried out from being heated in the microwave, and the salad was fresh but unfortunately drenched in a ready-made sauce. The drinks were okay, except for the Harzer Hexen lemonade, which came unchilled. Overall, a serious mismatch between price and value.

The food is quite expensive for the dated ambiance. The service is quite unfriendly and unmotivated to serve six adults and three children, even though it wasn't busy. I can't comment on the quality of the food, as we left the restaurant. We ended up going to the smaller stalls. The prices were right there, and the food was delicious.

The menu isn't extensive, but it's plentiful, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious! Very friendly staff!

The Waldburgis bowl is not recommended. The spaetzle was very bland. The only thing that was okay was the meat. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed, even though it wasn't busy. A shame.

We were there as a family with four adults and one child to end the day. We chose a seat with the beautiful backdrop of the Bode Valley. There were no menus on the tables, and the waiter seemed to be alone and accordingly busy. Since he didn't come to us, we had to get a menu from the deserted table next to us. The selection of dishes was limited but sufficient. The waiter arrived promptly to take our order, very unemotional. The food arrived quite quickly and was very poorly priced. The roulades were sluggish, the goulash had been in the pot too long, the sauce was ready-made from a carton, the fish was drenched in lemon, the salad was drenched in vinegar, the spaetzle weren't really spaetzle, much too small and thin, the broccoli was cold, and the croquettes were fried too briefly. All this for around €120... when we asked to say that the food wasn't tasty, nothing more was said. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended. Far too expensive, and the taste is more like a cafeteria. It's a shame, considering the view and the location are so good. If the kitchen here delivered, the tables would always be full.

Of course, the beautiful view invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu didn't impress us. My soup of the day (chanterelle mushrooms) was only lukewarm and tasted okay. The potato dumplings were frozen and can be bought at Netto and other supermarkets, but here in the restaurant, three cost €14. My husband had the house specialty, which was also only okay. Despite the starter soup, we weren't full, but we paid €60 for this snack food. Better not!

14.50 euros for a ready meal from the supermarket, 4 potato parcels and some salad: much too expensive, unbelievable!

Einrichtung vermutlich seit Eröffnung nicht verändert, gemütlich und nett ist etwas anderes. Personal nett, wenn sich die laut schwatzende Gruppe im Foyer an ihre Gäste erinnert. Eis Kaffee Katastrophe und Frechheit, ungenießbar. Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt und bestimmt niemals wieder.

We have never had such a bad meal with 3 children and 6 adults. After the children got their food last, after all the adults had had theirs sitting for 10 minutes, the mood was already very low. The mashed potatoes were definitely made from powder, they tasted that bad! All the dishes were fundamentally just not tasty and everything was very expensive! We complained to a waiter and criticized everything we noticed without getting any compensation, even though we mentioned it again to the cashier, who just said: I have nothing to do with the kitchen! Such a shame to have such bad food in such a great location! Never again and not at all recommended!!! I'd rather have the bratwurst in a roll! We wouldn't have spent 86€ on that with 2 adults and one child! And no, we didn't have any starters and just one drink each!

Disorganized staff, lacking friendliness, poor value for money, in need of renovation...

The good thing first: The waiter repeated all the orders and pointed out to us that one child didn't have a drink - but unfortunately that was the end of the positive aspects. In terms of portions, quality, taste and presentation, the food did not correspond at all to the suborbitantly high and absolutely exorbitant prices. Two adults, one child, 2x lunch, one children's plate for 78 euros...... The children's plate consisted of two frozen dinosaurs and a spoonful of ready-made mashed potatoes from the 20kg bucket... We once had corn chicken breast fillet, which turned out to be a drumstick with something indefinable on it, along with half-warm croquettes and a little ready-made sauce... The second dish was a thin piece of smoked cheese, the supposedly spicy sauce consisted of a few canned mushrooms and some peppers, along with a few boiled potatoes without salt and two tiny lettuce leaves. We ordered a Cola Zero for drinks, which turned out to be probably normal Pepsi, the Alster/Radler had a strange aftertaste, only the child's apple spritzer tasted like you're used to apple spritzer. My conclusion: Great view, service ok, food yuck. 80 euros wasted money. Recommendation: Better get something from the small stalls, they at least want to offer something delicious...

Great place, everyone's in a good mood. But! I get to the beer garden, which is completely full, and go into the restaurant to the bar to ask for a beer when the absolutely rude, worst service employee I've ever met, with whatever language he's speaking—I think with a Polish accent—calls me to my seat, saying, "My colleague will be right there." I have thick skin and think to myself, okay, maybe he's just stressed, so I sit down at the said seat... After a while, another colleague came over, whom I also approached because I was so thirsty, and asked if he'd give me a drink. 29 seconds later, I had my order. Then it was time to pay because time was running out, so I went to the cash register. I asked about the toilet fee, and a friendly waiter said it's included for guests. As I paid and happily went to the restroom, I heard this particular colleague in the background saying I hate serving at the bar and if he asks like that, let him pay the €1 (for the toilet). I'm not talking about the €1 here, because if a good man had been serving there, the bill wouldn't have been for one beer, but for three beers with a tip. In the past, people like that would have been immediately dismissed without notice.

Anlässlich meines Geburtstages hatte ich meine Familie zu Kaffee und Kuchen eingeladen. Das Personal war zwar hilfsbereit beim Zusammenstellen von Tischen, Freundlichkeit geht aber anders! Die unrühmliche Krönung dann beim Bezahlen. Knapp 100 Euro, was durchaus angemessen war, habe ich mit WC-Karte beglichen. Kurz darauf fiel der Bedienung dann auf, dass 2 Sachen vergessen worden waren. Ich sollte noch ca 10 Euro nachzahlen. Also EC-Karte wieder gezückt... Und dann hieß es "Kartenzahlung erst ab 20 Euro"! Mein Einwand, dass das ja wohl sehr kleinkariert sei, wurde barsch abgewiesen und ich musste mir Bargeld von meinen Kindern leihen! NIEMALS WIEDER DORT!!!

We were at the restaurant recently. Our children ate fries with nuggets (2 dinosaurs from the freezer) for €13.90 each, which was absolutely outrageous. My wife had the clear broth with something in it for €6.90 a small cup. It tasted absolutely not good, and I really wanted the crispy roasted goose breast with red cabbage and croquettes. I've had this strange feeling the whole time, should I, should I not. Because for €29.90, they should serve something decent. If only I had trusted my gut feeling. The food arrived after about an hour. The soup/broth wasn't hot and didn't taste good. Crispy goose breast? I would have loved to return everything. There was no crispiness, the red cabbage was hard, the croquettes were okay, and you've probably heard better sauces. The skin was taken off (just soggy and disgusting), and the same thing happened to my neighbor, by the way; he didn't eat the skin either. So I don't think I need to write anything else here. NEVER AGAIN

The ambience of the restaurant brings back memories of a bygone era. Dark wood and cozy niches to sit in. As if older men in suits were about to come in and discuss state affairs. You have to see it! The service and food were very good. We had pumpkin soup, a salad with chicken skewers and a portion of fries for the older child. For the little one there was even an extra plate of pasta that wasn't on the menu. The quality and price were completely okay, and the portion sizes were reasonable. The view is magnificent when the weather permits. There is currently scaffolding on the facade. But that doesn't bother you.

We were there with our family, the restaurant is an absolute rip off of tourists. Staff very unfriendly Food is warmed up from ready-made products and the tomato soup is a ready-made powdered soup. I have never been welcomed into a restaurant so rudely and disrespectfully. When we wanted to enter the restaurant with our dog, the gentleman at reception immediately reacted rudely and rudely in broken German and called our mixed breed a fighting dog. Our dog is not a fighting dog but a trained therapy and companion dog who has not shown any aggressive signs. Our grandmother, who relies on her dog, felt very threatened by the aggressive behavior of the gentleman at reception. I think it's a shame when you come to such a beautiful place like here and meet such bad and discriminatory people.

We were there for lunch today. My wife's schnitzel was dry and probably a bit old, at least that's how it tasted. My cabbage roulade was carelessly prepared, bland and more lukewarm than hot. We paid 40 euros for both of us and our little one (18 months) (he had pasta) including 2 small cokes. Absolutely too much for what you get. It won't happen to us again. Absolutely not recommended!

I was there 14 days ago with my grandchildren and we ate outside on the terrace. Great food and friendly staff. Today we were with family for a birthday party. Everyone enjoyed it and the service was again very nice and attentive. Thanks to the young man and the lady and of course praise for the kitchen. We'll be back!

We were eating at the Berghotel today, we were expecting a high price, but we didn't think we would get a kiosk meal and an 04/Cola for €5.20 is awesome. The staff was friendly.

We didn't eat anything. Ice cream parlor wasn't anything special. And what I don't like at all is unfriendly service. I know that the job isn't easy, but that's just not how it works.

The one star is for the location. The food was beyond borderline. Chanterelle cream soup! Potato slime with yellow dots was served in a dwarf cup and the iced coffee was just disgusting. But you couldn't mess anything up with the beer... Until now......,

On the occasion of a birthday we had dinner at the beautiful Hexentanzplatz in the Berghotel. Luckily, we were only partially influenced by some of the poorer reviews. We tried to create our own image. I would like to recommend this to everyone. The reception was very friendly, the table was beautifully set. A piccolo as a gift for the birthday guest. Special requests were no problem, alternatives were offered. So our first impression was much more positive than expected. A little influenced by some reviews, we ordered our food and were once again very pleasantly surprised. All 6 were sufficiently saturated, fish was fried very tenderly, juicy, crispy, not all cooks can manage that. Schnitzel tender, not huge, I agree, but sufficient. Pasta with chanterelles is also delicious. The white wine from the Saale Unstrut area is highly recommended, priced in the higher segment. Certainly everything at a higher price level, but comparatively reasonable. We always received friendly, courteous service throughout the 3 hours and will visit your restaurant again. The view is also magical, but has nothing to do with the quality. Ambience rustic, rather traditional. Thank you very much for the umbrellas we borrowed, so we got to the car almost dry, it was raining torrentially.

This restaurant has nothing in common with hospitality and good food. Service staff annoyed, unable to take criticism and unwilling to respond to the guests' wishes. Firstly, it was not possible to change the supplement shortly after ordering. The answer came that you should have thought about it beforehand, and on the other hand, you didn't even apologize after you said that the food wasn't tasty. schnitzel with Chanterelle cream sauce and parsley potatoes. The schnitzel was ok, the potatoes had disgusting dark spots and tasted like water and they didn't see any parsley. The sauce was water mush with no taste and the chanterelle soup was soup pimped up with 3 small fresh chanterelles. We have never eaten so badly and been treated so badly. We are willing to pay more for a good meal, but not for such a carelessly cobbled together, tasteless, mess. Absolute tourist rip-off. Price/performance is terribly bad. Not recommendable.

Went to the restaurant today. The food is not worth the money. €21.00 for two portions of currywurst with fries. Cheeky, fries half cold, limp - not freshly fried - hardly any salt. Currywurst, at that price - half cold, dry, not freshly prepared, and it was only half a sausage. This is beyond my understanding. To get such bad food at this price. Sorry never again.

Wir waren als Paar zu zweit und suchten uns einen Fernsterplatz (Tisch für 5-7Pers) . Wir wurden recht unwirsch an einen kleinen Tisch im dunkleren Teil des Redtaurants verwiesen. Mein Protest half nichts, es wurde befohlen! Zum schön essen ist uns an diesem Katzentusch die Lust vergangen. Zumindest die Küche macht ihren Job gut, Soljanka und kleiner Salat waren ordentlich. Die Gruppen, für die man die grossen Tische braucht kamen die ganze Stunde nicht, die wir vor Ort waren. Service also unfreundlich man wartet bei Regenwetter lieber auf grosse Gruppen, statt 2 Gäste die da sind, glücklich zu machen. So hat man vor 35 Jahren gehandelt! Jetzt sollte es anders sein.

What we experienced in this restaurant is something we have never experienced in our entire lives. Service: depending on the situation: no smile, grumbling, unfriendly, seems stressed or unmotivated, words like “good day” “please” are not known. Unfriendly and dismissive when complaining. More on that later. Food: There were four dishes. Once fries with ketchup and mayonnaise. The fries were OK. They were refined with around 3-4 tablespoons each of mayo and ketchup and were charged €7.30. The second dish was a vegetable soup for €6.90. Good taste. Served in a doll cup - about 100-150 ml. Then there was salad with chicken skewers for a mere €15.50. Yes, there was salad; plus 3 slices of baguette bread and actually very tasty chicken skewers but...the size of a small and thin finger. So 3/4 of the dishes caused long faces. But now the highlight: a salty trout from the refrigerated shelf, served cool on cheap, untoasted toast with asparagus gratinated (which was quite good). The parsley potatoes advertised on the menu were not served. This was complained about and harshly rejected because “every dish” did not mean every dish. It's logical. The waitress supported this logic by covering the description of some dishes with her hand and claiming that exactly these dishes are served without potatoes and the statement that every dish comes with potatoes does not apply. They could have simply brought three potatoes... instead, two service staff practiced demonstrating why there shouldn't be potatoes with this particular dish. We waited for the "hidden camera" resolution - but unfortunately it didn't come... what a failure.

I understand that everything has become more expensive. But only half left on the plate? I've never seen such a small schnitzel for 22.00 euros. Never come here again.

Two stars for the view. Otherwise, better move on. Last weekend my girlfriend and I went here for coffee and cake after a hike. Together with another couple at the table next to us, we were the only two occupied tables in the restaurant at that hour in the afternoon. The waiter wasn't particularly happy to see us. In any case, we noticed his gruff manner. The next table had ordered something warm to eat. They had been waiting for the food for a long time before we arrived. They were already restless and ready to leave. Our coffee and cake came quite quickly. The neighboring table also received their food and was visibly happy (that the food was finally there. In my opinion, the food didn't look particularly exciting). Our cake tasted good, but it was bought. It looked too good to have been made by hand. Okay. The coffee was a disappointment. Cheapest filter coffee. This really could have been done better. The view compensated us somewhat, but the previous Google reviews are correct. The restaurants here just seem to be all about making as much money as possible with as little effort as possible. Not more. A pity.

The view is the best thing about this place. The lack of competition is reflected in the prices and the friendliness of the staff. Both drinks and food are very expensive. Because of the prices, you probably don't have to rely on tips, which would explain the waiter's behavior. We had to ask several times to finally be able to order. When the drinks were brought, we couldn't order the food straight away, but had to ask the waiter in charge to come to us several times. The food itself (starter soups and portion of fries) was ok, but the price was absolutely not justified for the quality and portion size. The fact that card payments are only possible from €15 is, firstly, incomprehensible in 2024 and, secondly, we only noticed by chance because we discovered a corresponding note on the door to the guest room on the way to the toilet. If you don't go in and just sit on the terrace, you may only find out when you pay.

Das Personal war freundlich aber konnte teilweise nicht richtig deutsch sprechen. Als wir ankamen saßen wir kaum und der Kellner hat direkt die Speisekarten auf den Tisch gelegt. Das Essen war für den schnellen Hunger okay

Nice view of the Rosstrappe. Unfortunately, coffee and cake were nothing. It's best to take a look at the toilets first... I think it says it all.

The great view can be better enjoyed from outside. We found the portions to be very puny considering the hefty price. We weren't even close to being full. The meat was dry and tough, the vegetables were barely there and the salad was forgotten. The fried something called sweet potato slices can be stapled to your shoes. The staff reacted to our criticism from dismissive to angry. We voluntarily stop eating here.

Excellent views of the mountains and gorge. Very cozy and original design of the restaurant inside. Incredibly fast service and polite waiters. Surprisingly, the loose leaf tea in bags turned out to be delicious (I’m tired of bags in restaurants), coffee, large portions of fresh cakes, fries, salads, solyanka, and that’s it. I didn’t expect anything special in such a remote place, where people are still forced to eat whatever they give. But here we were pleasantly surprised! PS By the way, we were with a dog (small and very well-mannered) and they did not refuse us a visit.

So I've been to a few restaurants. But that was the worst of all so far. Just under 23 euros for a small schnitzel with 5 croquettes is really exorbitant. The waiter said we were being disrespectful because we asked him not to hold the food in front of the faces of those who were already eating and to insist that everyone leave everything behind and pass the plate, which is his job as a waiter. He then started a discussion about how disrespectful we were and what do I know. Unfortunately we had children with us who were hungry. Otherwise I would have left immediately and he could have eaten his overpriced schnitzel himself. But well, there is a shortage of skilled workers. 5.50 for a bottle of beer where a box costs 10 euros is just as cheeky. One star is still too many but less is not possible. The restaurant just rests on its location.

Unfortunately the service was a disaster. There is probably no division among the waiters. We ordered drinks. While we were waiting for the drinks, two other waiters came and asked if we would like anything. The waiters had no idea who would serve which table. In addition, most of them were so grim that a smile would have cost extra. Although we would have liked to eat something, we decided against it for these reasons and went somewhere else. The view only partially saves this experience. We will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Blumenkohl 1 Röschen Brokkoli ein Röschen und da hat man etwas Sauce Hollandaise drauf gekippt. Alle Gerichte fertig aus der Verpackung. Auf jedem Teller ein Salatblatt. Gaststube viel zu dunkel. Toiletten sehr unsauber. Die jungen Kellner haben sich sehr bemüht. Wir haben schon lange nicht so schlecht gespeist.Schnitzel 25€.

Wir kommen seit Jahren her und sind immer sehr zufrieden. An erster Stelle steht natürlich die Lage in Verbindung mit dem sagenhaften Blick, sowohl auf der Terrasse, als auch im Restaurant von den meisten Plätzen aus. Das Ambiente ist schon sehr rustikal, aber die kleinen Nischen im Restaurant sind mega gemütlich. Das Essen schmeckte uns bisher immer sehr gut. Die Preise sind nicht niedrig, aber wo sind sie das zur Zeit? Der Service ist immer aufmerksam und freundlich. Und es ist eben auch ein Ausflugslokal und kein Sternerestauant, das sollte man nicht vergessen!

Ein einziges großes Desaster. Sehr enttäuscht. Zu kleine Portionen und zu großer Preis. Es wurde schon abgeräumt bevor ich überhaupt fertig war mit essen. Kein Wunder das nur die Hälfte der Tische besetzt war.

Seriously overpriced food. The quality is very bad. The vegetables on our plate still had black dirt on them, the schnitzels were the smallest I have ever seen, they were drenched in fat and the chicken breast our daughter ordered was extremely dry and tasted frozen.

Wenn man draußen einen Platz bekommt, ist es sehr schön. Die 3 Sterne gibt es hauptsächlich durch den Ausblick. Die Preise sind schon ordentlich, das günstigste Getränk im Preis-/Leistungsvergleich ist das Bier. Das Essen war überraschend. Es war nicht schlecht aber für den Preis hätte ich bei den Kartoffeltaschen mehr als die TK Variante erwartet. Da nicht viel los war, ging die Bedienung schnell. Kartenzahlung ist möglich ab 10€

The worst ice coffee I had. Coffee is super disgusting and sour. Maybe brewed yesterday in a cheap filter machine and wasn't even warmed up. The ice cream had ice inside, as it was possibly in the freezer for years. Service was also bad, forgotten to bring a drink. We were only 4, ordering only drinks. And it managed to fail us so much.

Service sehr zuvorkommend und auch Extrawünsche sind kein Problem. Essen solide. Blick aus dem Restaurant herrlich.

Die Mittagskarte ist nicht besonders vielfältig, aber es gibt genug Auswahl gut bürgerlicher Gerichte. Der Preis ist etwas höher als im Tall und das Essen selbst scheint nicht selbstgemachte, aber trotzdem vernünftig und an der Menge gibt es nichts zu meckern. Die Aussicht jedoch ist einzigartig gut.

Lecker Essen, Salat und Eis, aber Finger bzw. Gaumen weg vom Kaffee.

In Summe Okay, wobei das Essen gefühlt zu 99% auf Fertigprodukten basiert. Preise sind keine Schnäppchen, aber es ist eben auch ein Touristenort.

Waren am Samstag dort schön Mittagessen,sehr schöne Gaststätte,,und schönes Ambiente,Der Kellner der uns bediente sehr freundlich und nett und immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht die gute Seele des Hotels.Essen super sehr lecker mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen wieder weil es uns so gut gefallen hat.

Traumhaft gelegenes Restaurant, wenn man dann einem Tisch am Fenster erwischt, perfekt! Bei uns inkl. romantischem Sonnenuntergang und herrlicher Aussicht (Brocken, Rosstrappe)! Personal sehr nett, Essen war gut - sehr gut, aber auch schon die gehobenere Preiskategorie. Etwas Auszusetzen hatte ich am Rotwein, sorry, aber bei knapp 10€ für eine kleine Karaffe, darf sich darin nichts absetzen, es wurde "sandig"...

Hallo zusammen Ich war gerade hier im Restaurant einen Caffee trinken mit meiner Freundin. Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr schön jedoch hat der Caffee nicht wirklich geschmeckt er wie ein Tankstellen wasser Kaffee was mich sehr überraschte. Außerdem ist mir die Speisekarte sehr unübersichtlich rüber gekommen. Trotzdem war es schön mit meiner Freundin die Aussicht zu genießen

Wir sind fast immer hier, wenn wir im Harz sind. Und es schmeckt uns immer sehr gut! Das Restaurant ist urig gemütlich und die Aussicht bei schönem Wetter ist genial!

Wir hatten einen Ausflug um die frühe Nachmittagszeit auf den Hexentanzplatz gemacht. Im Restaurant angekommen, wurde uns ein Tisch zugewiesen, freie Platzwahl war anscheinend nicht möglich. Dem Bedienpersonal unsere Wünsche klar zu machen, gestaltete sich etwas schwierig. Ich bekam einen Kaffee mit Fußbad in der Untertasse, meine Tochter hatte sich für eine Kinderportion Nudeln und Tomatensoße entschieden. Schon der Preis für die Mini-Kinderportion (8,90 €) hat uns schockiert, aber egal, wir hatten Urlaub. Der Brüller war allerdings, als wir nach Käse als Topping fragten. Es wurde uns dazu eine Scheibe ?!!! Käse serviert, die einen Aufpreis von 1 € hatte. Sowas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. In der Servicewüste Deutschland habe ich kein Problem damit, wenn man ausländische Fachkräfte als Bedienpersonal beschäftigt. Allerdings sollten diese dann doch die deutschen Gepflogenheiten kennen, z.B., dass man üblicherweise Streukäse zu den Nudeln isst. Alles in allem - uns seht ihr nicht gleich wieder. Schade.

Wir speisten hier während eines Ausfluges. Das Essen war unvergesslich schlecht bei einem überhöhten Preis. Die offenbar aufgetaute Schoko-Sahne Torte stammte vielleicht noch aus alten DDR-Beständen, zumindest geschmacklich. Wo zaubert man so etwas heute noch her? Kann man nicht wenigstens einen Blechkuchen frisch backen? Wer hier kocht oder es zulässt, dass das so bleibt, verachtet offenbar seine Gäste. Die Rezensionen zeigen, dass das ein Dauerzustand ist. Der mit Käse überbackene Gulasch war wirklich ohne jedenGeschmack, so als äße man etwas nach einer Corona-Infektion, die die Geschmacksnerven gelähmt hat. Wie man das bei einem so einfachen Essen hinbekommt ist an sich ein Wunder. Die darin enthaltenen Spätzle sahen aus wie aufgequollene Spaghetti. Die Knochensuppe war wiederum versalzen. Keine Ahnung, wen ma da alles verkochen lässt. Die Bedienung war zumindest freundlich und der Ort hübsch. So kann es einfach nicht weiter gehen an einem so schönen Platz.

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe unterwegs. Wir hatten in dem Berghotel für diesen Tag ein Kaffeegedeckt für 9.00 Euro bestellt. Wir hofften, für diesen Betrag ein ordentliches Stück Kuchen zu erhalten. Als wir am Tisch saßen, lag ein handgeschriebener Zettel auf dem Tisch mit einer kleinen Auswahl an Kuchen und Getränken. Es gab Käsekuchen, Apfelkuchen und Birnen Joghurt Kuchen. Die, die sich für Käskuchen entschieden hatten, bekamen wenigstens ein ordenliches Stück. Ich und ein paar andere entschieden sich für Birnen Joghurt Kuchen. Der Birnen Joghurt Kuchen entpuppe sich als ein gewöhnlicher Rührkuchenteig mit wenig Birnenstückchen und war ziemlich klein. Preis-Leistungsverhätnisch stimmt hier überhaupt nicht. In der Kühltheke war eine Auswahl von schönen Torten, wobei ein Stück ca 4 Euro koststete. Hätten wir kein Gedeck bestellt, und uns ein Stück Torte und ein Kännchen Kaffe einzeln bestellt, wäre der Preis von 9.00 Euro hingekommen. Man hat hier wahrscheinlich gleich das Trinkgeld mit dazugerechnet.

Schöne Aussicht. Personal engagiert und nicht so überfordert oder unfreundlich wie es öfter geschrieben wurde. Dafür ist das Restaurant in der Zeit weit vorher stecken geblieben und das Essen... schaut nett aus, das war es aber auch schon. Schmeckt aber alles gleich salzig, gestreckt und nicht frisch. Auch der Kaffee schmeckte alt bitter und abgestanden. Schade man könnte so viel mehr aus dieser Location machen.

Große Portionen, geschmacklich gut, nettes Personal. Kinderstühle und Wickeltisch vorhanden. Ein schöner Ausblick ins Bodetal.

Leider ist der Zeit stehen geblieben, völlig unkoordiniert Personal langsam aber freundlich. Essenauswahl eher auf den Niveau einer besseren Pommesbude nicht was man von einem Hotel erwartet.

Die Umgebung ist fantastisch. Dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts. Bestenfalls kann es diesen Umstand nutzen um die Besucher restlos gut zu befriedigen. Wir waren sehr früh da (gegen 10 Uhr), um den Massen zu entkommen. Dafür aber entsprechend hungrig, da wir aus Zeitgründen zu Hause (tiefstes Thüringen) kein Frühstück geschafft haben. Meine Frau hat sich Spiegelein auf Schinken gewünscht, ich Soljanka. Sie hat Spiegeleier ohne Schinken bekommen, ich eine größere Kaffeetasse mit warmem Wasser, in dem schwammige Stücke Gemüse schwammen und homäopathische Spuren von Wurst zu erkennen waren. Nach dem Ausschlussprinzip konnte es ja kein Gemüse sein. Beim Bezahlen habe ich den fehlenden Schinken sowie die Zusammensetzung der Soljanka reklamiert. Dafür, dass diese in eine Kaffeetasse gepasst hat und 5,20 EUR gekostet hat, hat das Hotel die bekanntlich exorbitanten österreichischen Preise um Größenordnungen überstiegen, dafür die Qualität auf absolute Null gebracht. Das muss man erstmal schaffen. Einstein wäre begeistert über gleich die doppelte Singularität. Ich betone, dass wir um die Zeit (9:40) die einzigen Gäste weit und breit des Hotels waren. Im hoteleigenen Restaurant saß niemand (außer sich dem gut amüsierenden Personals), draußen auf der Terasse nur wir. Wenn man unter solchen Bedingungen kein ordentlisches Frühstück hinbekommt, darf man zu Recht die Frage nach der Existenzberechtigung dieser Firma stellen. Die sollen nicht mir Ausreden zu Corona kommen. Sie sollten besser wieder anfangen ordentlich zu arbeiten. Das war der letzte Besuch meiner Frau und mich in dieser Firma.

Wir wollten nur eben etwas trinken: Alles war überfüllt und im Berghotel Restaurant haben wir einen gemütlichen Platz gefunden. Ambiente ist super und auch die Aussicht. Leider bedienungstechnisch nicht so super. Nicht sehr freundlich. Das Geschirr war nicht sauber. Auf den Toiletten war das Papier alle und es gab kein Desinfektionsmittel. Schade!
