Everything looks good inside and out. Unfortunately, the meat is stored in white boxes without lids. The meat appears to be pre-cooked. The currywurst was "heated" in the deep fryer. In other words, the pre-cut slices were taken out of the box and thrown into the deep fryer. The somewhat older man is quite unfriendly and easily annoyed by customers. The fries are "soggy" and sometimes unseasoned. Mayo, ketchup, and mustard cost 0.70 cents extra! Sad for such a touristy place.

The old man was very unfriendly. Pre-cooked meat was lying around uncovered. Everything is heated in the Fritz Öse. The side salad is a joke.

Just tourist rip-offs. It's a shame what it's become. Staff overwhelmed, beer garden untidy, and staff overwhelmed and unfriendly. A shame, definitely not again.

Once and never again..... We wanted to sit down to eat at a proper table, so we chose the mountain hut...which was very disastrous. At first, we didn't know where to stand; there were two areas: one for hot food, one for coffee and cake. Unfortunately, it wasn't at all obvious. For the food: Salads...They could definitely do better. Perhaps they could make the dressing themselves. Charging €10 for a kids' meal with a handful of fries and two Chinese nuggets...is a disgrace!!!!!!!!! The schnitzel was also a joke for that price. The chef, or whatever he was, was really unfriendly. He just moaned and complained because he was too slow. We paid €60 for three dishes, an extra portion of fries, and three drinks!!!!! But in general, none of the operators here seem to care.... It's a shame, there's so much room for improvement...

Self-service and canteen food are totally overpriced.

We only had a drink there. I wouldn't eat there; from what I saw, it didn't look particularly appealing. There were nice places to sit inside and outside. I don't understand why they don't make more of it, especially when it comes to the food. The staff weren't particularly friendly either!

We ate in the hotel restaurant/witch's buffet and in the mountain hut – unfortunately, it was a bitter disappointment. The fries were completely cold, the portions tiny, and completely overpriced. The value for money is absolutely not there. What struck us as particularly negative was the way they treated children: Our two-year-old accidentally spilled a glass of water. Instead of responding kindly, the gentleman working there was extremely rude and visibly annoyed. He even snatched the napkins out of my hand with the comment that he would take care of it – disrespectful and inappropriate behavior towards guests. I therefore absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant for families. The price, quality, and especially the service leave a lot to be desired.

The food was very bad. The fries were still okay, but the currywurst was inedible. The apple spritzer was a joke—it was just water with a little color. Almost no flavor. And the prices were outrageous! We were very annoyed that we hadn't eaten elsewhere. Seating in the shade was the best...

The dollop of salad was also something you could have done without. The waitress and the other employees seemed very listless and bored. We had to wait almost 10 minutes at the counter for a scoop of ice cream, even though there weren't many customers. The response was, why would you queue for a scoop of ice cream? Thanks for nothing. The other reviews seem to have had the same experience. What a shame. Definitely never again.

Had we read the justified negative reviews beforehand, we wouldn't have gone there. A real disappointment, especially since it was completely overpriced.

It's simply disgusting when a lady licks the sauce off her hands while preparing the food and then proceeds to prepare more food without washing her hands. On top of that, when we addressed the situation, we were given the finger, which was dismissed by the manager and the lady, who was insulted. This is the first time we've eaten at this restaurant.

The food is too expensive for the quality, the staff is sometimes unfriendly and unmotivated, and the layout of the counter is confusing. This mountain hut is definitely not recommended.

It was loud and disorganized. Our food was forgotten, and the waitress was irritated when we asked for it. I wish I'd read the reviews before we stood in the store and ordered... The food is really expensive; it's actually cheaper in the new witch's huts, and the portions are definitely not smaller. I don't even want to talk about the service there. The man at the cake and drink counter yelled at us, and the man who took the orders for the hot food was also incredibly rude. But we noticed that the guests before us were treated just as rudely because the prevailing ordering system wasn't clearly visible. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended. A shame.

I don't give it a star at all. The potatoes were disgustingly overcooked and from the day before yesterday, the cabbage rolls were cold, the fries had been dipped in water several times, the potato dumplings were overpriced, and charging €5.80 for a 0.5-liter plastic bottle that costs €0.19 at a discount store is an absolute disgrace. One star is still too many!!! Rude to the point of no longer possible, long waiting times, exorbitant prices for frozen food. While waiting you can look into the kitchen, no one is wearing gloves, the sausages are touched with your hand, then the cleaning cloth, then your hands are smeared on your pants and then you touch the food again. So we wanted your food because of the Lütten, dad was a mistake. The pasta smells like dishwashing liquid, my girl spit out the first one straight away - she loves pasta!!! My mom had fries and after the second one she stopped. The children tried and didn't want to either. I love Königsberger Klopse... I was full after the first bite of cardboard. €28.70 for the bin. Afterwards there was a free stomach ache. The women's toilets were ok, the men's toilets were all peed, even if men pee... never again!!!!

Ambiance is really traditional and nice. The food is unacceptable. Cold plate, cold sausage, then the feeling of having stones in your stomach. The toilets stink and are unhygienic. Really a shame. Why doesn't the staff make any changes when there are so many bad comments?

Generally overpriced, no question. We once had the witch's pan, which was ok, but the price wasn't right either, currywurst fries were ok, but not ok for the price and the portion either. If you ever feel like being yelled at by a bad-tempered, overwhelmed gentleman at the checkout, you have to go here. Don't expect anything from the overpriced food, and don't expect a smile from the staff! But to protect the overwhelmed person: he had already been working for 2 hours!!! Unfortunately, our visit to the Hexenbuffet restaurant at the Berghotel Hexentanzplatz was anything but pleasant. The nuggets and fries we ordered were extremely watery and inedible. What was particularly disappointing was that when you placed your order you could see the salad being taken from small containers that were definitely not intended for salad - that didn't leave a good impression in advance. While ordering the food, the cashier wanted to start billing far too early, which was very unpleasant. By having to wait for our food, other guests had to wait for us at the checkout, which made the entire experience even more chaotic and stressful. The organization seemed completely out of date and we lost our appetite during the preparation. The only edible parts of our meal were the fries, but unfortunately that's not enough to lure us back to this cafeteria-style restaurant. It's a real shame because you could do so much more with it. My impression is that this restaurant only thrives on the view and the walk-in customers who only visit once for a short time. Our first visit will definitely be our last. A pity.

The food was good, but unfortunately the portion was very small. Königsberger meatballs with potatoes. 2 dumplings 2 divided potatoes. I didn't get enough of it. We sat on a bench outside. Unfortunately, my husband didn't see that the bench had a sharp hole and tore his jeans on his bottom 😭🥺.

After I was allowed to pay €19.80 for a small portion of fries with schnitzel and 2 small drinks, which I did with a card, I wanted to have another bag of ketchup, which, strangely white, wasn't included in the €12 for the fries. When I wanted to pay for it like the rest with a card, I was unfortunately turned away because it's only "from 10 €" and then I ate it without ketchup. The place is a disgrace if, with such exorbitantly high prices, you're too embarrassed to just give out a bag of ketchup, especially when you're absolutely ripping off poor customers. Please bring your own food or a kitchen including a chef there - it will definitely be cheaper and more pleasant than being ripped off by the place.

We chose fries with nuggets and potato salad with pollack fillet. The portion of fries and nuggets was almost the same size as the meal bag from well-known fast food restaurants. However, the price was twice as high. We may have been allowed to use numbers for the great view. The view was sensational. The potato salad tasted like it had been made from a cup. And the side salad was a hint of ready-made coleslaw. (But you almost have to look for it..) The fish and the nuggets were not for people with dentures. The service from the employee who was responsible for serving food was subpar. Annoyed groans and eye rolls because many guests didn't change their minds right away or at short notice when it came to choosing the dishes. All in all just over €20 for 2 dishes without drinks.
