Very nice restaurant with Swabian cuisine, we sat outside and ate Kässpätzle and Maultaschen, highly recommended. The service is very attentive and the waiting time for the food to arrive was short. Only the prices are comparatively a bit high.

Very nice restaurant in a beautiful town. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, especially with our children. We were immediately found a shady spot and brought high chairs. The food was outstanding! Absolutely recommended!

I didn't find it particularly good value for money. 30€ for a 200g steak?? For what? 20€ for a Maultaschen? What? Inflation is kicking hard on the mountain apparently. Or do the employees want too much salary?

We were guests at the school graduation Deer. Courteous and friendly we were served. On this hot Friday, the summer menu was on the menu More than helpful. Really an experience in this beautiful town center of Besigheim.

Unfortunately only 3 stars. Why? Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. But. We have pork tenderloin with one!!! Ordered a side dish for over €21. There were 3!!! Small slices with pepper sauce on the plate. Even the waitress said it only looked that way because there were no side dishes. No. 3 slices of pork fillet with sauce and salad or a side dish is totally excessive for the price. If I had wanted more fries, I would have been at almost €28. That doesn't make up for the ambience or the good service. This is blatant usury. The soup was delicious, dog friendly. Therefore still 3 nice stars. Adjust price performance, then there will be more stars. So unfortunately a 😕😢

I've been there twice, once in early spring and once in summer. Food was great both times. If you are looking for something local and well made, to enjoy, this is a good place. It is more on the expensive side, but the portions are decent. In spring it was less crowded and the service was good, the waitress took really good care of us. In summer, it was more crowded and more busy and our waitress forgot about us at a certain point. They place is in the heart of the old town. If you go in the warm season, you can sit outside and admire the old buildings and the plants that they grow around. If you go in the cold season, i would recommend sitting in the right side of the restaurant, it looks better.

Beautiful restaurant outdoor terrace in the middle of the old town of Besigheim with nice staff. My husband and I ate roast suckling pig there this evening. It was a soft rolled roast - briefly warmed on the grill - with a sloppy, light fat rind and sauce. There was no crust whatsoever. We've had enough. But overall it wasn't tasty. We should have been suspicious when the guests at the neighboring table complained about the food In addition, it was at the table in a flash. In response to our complaint, the staff assured us that everything was always made fresh. We had imagined something different. Too bad about dinner.

Booking online worked well. We received a friendly welcome and the service was really good the whole time. The food was high quality and very tasty. We'd love to come back.

Great Maultaschen, friendly and flexible, all good.

The online reservation worked without any problems. We were warmly welcomed. The map shows where each ingredient/meat comes from and how the restaurant optimizes its sustainability. The menu has something for every taste. We were there during asparagus season. All starters (asparagus cream soup and side salads) were fresh and delicious. The main courses were consistently excellent (steak with cognac sauce, chicken breast with asparagus and tagliatelle, steak with asparagus, schnitzel and fries), and the children also enjoyed it (children's menu available). For dessert we ordered Heiße Liebe and Kaiserschmarrn, both of which were incredibly good! We will definitely be happy to come again. We consider the price-performance ratio to be very good! Keep it up! There are public parking spaces nearby for a small fee - it's worth taking a walk in the beautiful old town afterwards! P.S.: The toilets were also clean and well maintained!

Absolute insider tip in summer, try eating outside, the old town has a wonderful medieval flair. Above all, treat yourself to the Maultaschen, which are by far the best I have ever eaten.

We ate at Hirsch on Ascension Day. Great weather, all the tables outside were occupied. We were offered to sit inside for the time being with the prospect of getting the next suitable free table outside. Menus have already been distributed. After a very short wait - we had just opened the cards - we were able to sit down. That worked really well. The order was then taken quickly and served quite quickly. We enjoyed the food very much, everything was beautifully prepared. The service staff were super fast and very friendly. Great. Overall, we found the prices to be comparatively high, although we are probably still in the adjustment phase ourselves after the high inflation with the corresponding effects on purchases of goods, energy and salaries as well as the VAT increase. Regardless of this and knowing that the Maultaschen were homemade and really, really tasty, we found the price (Maultaschen salad with 1 Maultaschen, Maultaschen in the broth with 2 Maultaschen + side salad) to be very high, even compared to the other prices. Of course, we understand the restaurant's pricing, but unfortunately we are less and less able to treat ourselves to something like this and we have often viewed Maultaschen as a cheap alternative compared to meat dishes, which we really enjoy eating. Overall it was still very nice, would come back, but maybe not eat any more Maultaschen dishes :)

Been there again today for a long time. Food was delicious. Despite the many family celebrations, we didn't have to wait too long. Particularly noteworthy is the super friendly and attentive service. The young lady was more than on her toes! Great!!!!

The asparagus we ordered was of good quality and tasty. Unfortunately our order was forgotten? I got my starter, which was followed by a 60 minute wait. 5 tables that arrived long after us had eaten their starters and main course and we were still waiting. It was only when we spoke to the waitress that she had the idea to ask in the kitchen. There was no real apology. Only the statement that she didn't know what was going on in the kitchen. We didn't get to order more drinks because the waitress didn't come over or ask proactively. Unfortunately, my request that the asparagus be served with butter instead of holondaise sauce could not be accommodated; only herb butter was possible? In the end I had no sauce. All in all, at lunchtime, when the place wasn't overly busy, we spent over 1 1/2 hours for 2 main courses and a soup. For me, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit in relation to the service quality. We will switch to other restaurants in the future.

Yesterday we were at the Hirsch for the first time...And we definitely weren't there for the last time. I haven't had such good service in a long time👍. The boss and her team live and breathe gastronomy and really enjoy working and it shows. 😊👍. As a starter there was an asparagus cream soup, which was very tasty but a bit too salty for my taste, but I have to say I'm a bit sensitive about that because my wife didn't like it. For the main course I had the onion roast with spaetzle, and it was very tasty😊. I can also recommend the house-made lemonades, they are really tasty and something different. We'll definitely be back, keep it up.👏 👍

Very good food. The offerings on the menu are extensive, but the menu itself is a bit confusing. A conversation with the service staff is always worthwhile and quickly brings the expected result. You can also sit in front of the deer in the "pedestrian zone", which is not a pedestrian zone. Advantage: historical surroundings, fresh air, sun. Disadvantage: vehicles roll past you every few minutes. Definition of motor vehicles: cars, sprinters, motorcycles, tractors.

First of all... super nice service, we sat outside for the first time this year, nice square... nice old town. Unfortunately my companion's food didn't come at the same time, I only asked after 5 minutes even though it was the same food. As compensation there was a dessert for Umme.. you can do that. Food itself was okay but nothing more, salad costs extra.. overpriced in my opinion.. Sorry

Good selection of food in today's normal price range. Conditions very nice and polite. Unfortunately, the outdoor seating is on a traffic-calmed street, with some vehicles driving past the tables at walking pace. This significantly tarnishes what is actually a good outdoor restaurant.

On the most beautiful Saturday afternoon in spring there is no cake or ice cream parlour. Shameful service. There are places where you feel more comfortable.

Very nicely located restaurant in the picturesque old town of Besigheim. We always come with our bikes, so we don't have to look for a parking space and sitting outside is particularly nice here. The dishes are delivered quickly and everything tastes great and is nicely prepared. The only thing we're missing is the obligatory bread basket for the salads. When we last visited we received some bread upon request, but unfortunately we didn't receive any more bread during today's visit because there was none in stock. Since a fitness salad for lunch is quite expensive at just under €17, this could definitely be improved.

Had dinner with relatives again on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. The blonde, nice waitress was very polite and friendly, we haven't experienced this kind of politeness for a long time, and the dark-haired waitress was also very polite. Kudos for that. Also very high praise for the impeccable cuisine. The food was once again very good and tasty. We will definitely recommend this restaurant. Again, very high praise to all of you. Sat there for probably 15 minutes without anyone coming and bringing a card. Not even a hello, we're coming soon, were simply ignored.

If you have written a bad review - and then later realize that EVERYTHING has changed for the better - then it is high time to revise your opinion. The restaurant is not only beautifully located. I can now also describe the service as excellent and extremely friendly. There is also nothing to complain about when it comes to the quality of the food. I confess, I even ordered a small portion (Maultaschen) again. Not because it was too scarce, but just so delicious!

Swabian restaurant in the middle of the beautiful old town. Attractive menu with many regional dishes and drinks. For this you have to dig a little deeper into your pockets. Friendly and quick service. Food (7 people) was all good or very good. The only disadvantage: unfortunately very loud.

Wow, just wow! We ate there today, so first class. Service: attentive, courteous, very friendly. Many thanks to young lady. You immediately felt at home when you arrived. Food: Sweet potato soup - a dream! Correctly seasoned, precisely tempered, served very elegantly! Good salads! House dressing is delicious! The main course was a bit over-portioned (but there was the option to order a small portion -20%). A sustainable box was offered free of charge to take away the leftover food. We also found this to be responsible for the environment. Thanks for not throwing anything out. Dessert/Kaiserschmarn, wow! Absolutely delicious! Also served as a feast for the eyes. Price performance - nothing more is possible. You really do a lot for the money that we were happy to pay you. We'll be back, you'll help you recover mentally! Thanks for that!

Very cozy location, delicious food, good wine and friendly service. When it's full, the Hirsch can be very loud, so much so that you can no longer hear everyone at the table next to you. Is just the way. In any case, it was super tasty and we would happily pay a little more for it.

Nice inn with very nice waitresses, I think the kitchen, what is prepared there is great.

Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung aber die Preise für Getränke und Speisen sind "etwas" abgehoben. Spezi 0,4 Liter kostet €5,30, Hefeweizen 0,5 Liter kostet €5,20. Paniertes Schnitzel mit Pommes ohne Salat kostet €20,90. Die Bedienung war auch etwas verwirrt und brachte einen Beilagensalat obwohl dieser nicht bestellt wurde. Desweiteren gibt's in der Speisekarte zwei Seiten zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit z.B. welcher Ökobriefumschlag oder welches Material beim Kassenbeleg verwendet wird. Ist okay auf Nachhaltigkeit zu achten aber in einer Speisekarte nicht angebracht. Da wäre es sicherlich besser und hilfreich dies auszuhängen.

Mittlerweile mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Anständige schwäbische Küche zu sehr angemessenen Preisen. Immer gerne hier!

So etwas habe ich sonst noch nirgends erlebt. Wir waren heute das erste, aber mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal im Hirsch essen. Was mich total begeistert hat war die Bedienung, die nach meiner Bitte, den Salat ohne Karotten zu servieren, sofort nach einer etwaigen Allergie gefragt hat, da im Dressing auch Karotte sei. Das war in all den Jahren das erste Mal, dass eine Servicekraft so mitgedacht hat. Der Salat mit den Maultaschen war (auch ohne Karotte 😉) total lecker, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, der Service ist sehr fix und freundlich, obwohl sie viel zu tun hatten und das Lokal voll war. Große Empfehlung!

Sehr freundliches Personal, leider war die Portion vom Hauptgang etwas klein, ich war trotz Suppe und Dessert nicht satt. Geschmacklich war alles sehr gut, wenn der Service nicht wie am Bahnhof Getränke und Essen am Tisch ausrufen würde, sondern sich aufschreibt, wer was bestellt hat, hätte dem Ambiente und dem Service 5Sterne gegeben.

Das Essen war schön angerichtet, hat mich aber leider geschmacklich nicht überzeugt, nichts Besonderes und dafür doch recht teuer. Das Schweinemedaillon von der "Hirschplatte" war außerdem etwas fad und zäh. Service war am Anfang schnell und effizient, die zweite Runde Getränke und die Rechnung mussten wir dann an der Theke bestellen, weil keiner mehr am Tisch vorbeikam. Alles in allem 3 Sterne. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die Seite "Was wir für die Nachhaltigkeit tun" auf der Speisekarte. Wer kommt denn bitte auf die Idee, auf einer gedruckten (!) Speisekarte eine komplette Seite zum Thema "Nachhaltigkeit" zu verschwenden, und dort dann fast ausschließlich Kleinigkeiten, Belanglosigkeiten und Selbstverständlichkeiten wie "recyceltes Druckerpapier", "Klammerloser Tacker", "Briefumschläge 0% Plasik" aufzuzählen? Ist ja toll, dass ihr das alles macht, aber muss das wirklich in eure Speisekarte? Das meiste davon sollte heutzutage ohnehin selbstverständlich sein, und wenn ihr euch auf die Qualität eurer Speisen konzentriert, habt ihr es auch nicht nötig, euch über euer Nachhaltigkeitskonzept zu profilieren.

Gericht Besigheimer Hirschplatte. Essen war sehr lecker und sehr gut gewürzt. Geschmacklich auf den Punkt. Die Hausgemachte Spätzle waren auch sehr gut! Bedienung war sehr Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Immer wieder gerne!

Dies war heute mein erster Besuch. Sehr schnelle, zuvorkommende und höffliche Bedienungen. Das Essen war sehr lecker bis hervorragend. Gut der Preis ist etwas hoch bemessen. Hier muss man aber die regionalen Unterschiede und die Qualität betrachten. Der Preis hätte etwas niedriger sein können aber der Rest hat gepasst. Komme gerne wieder und kann auch dieses Restaurant empfehlen.

In absolut pittoresker Lage mitten in der Besigheimer Altstadt wird im Hirsch sowohl die typisch schwäbische, als auch internationale Küche geboten. Geschmack und Qualität der Gerichte sind sehr gut, der Service angenehm - sehr aufmerksam ohne offensiv zu sein. Die Portionen sind üppig und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis angemessen.

Wir waren eine große Gruppe mit 12 bis 14 Personen. Bei der Aufnahme der Essen mäkelt die Service Kraft herum weil die 3. oder 4. Person sagte, sie möchte nichts essen. (das sei doch ein Speiselokal und deshalb gehe man bei einer Reservierung davon aus dass auch Essen bestellt würde). Im Endeffekt haben von 14 Personen 10 etwas gegessen. Um 21 :15 Uhr wurden wir bereits aufgefordert zur "letzten Bestellung," da das Restaurant um 22 Uhr schließen "müsse". Es gibt keine Vorschriften der Gemeinde daß um die Zeit das Restaurant geschlossen sein muß. Für mich speziell und unsere Gruppe war es der letzte Besuch dieses Hauses.

Sehr lecker und wirklich empfehlenswert

Das Ambiente direkt in der Innenstadt ist schön. Das Essen (Besigheimer Hirschplatte) hat mich allerdings leider geschmacklich und vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz überzeugt. Es war definitiv nicht schlecht, aber so richtig überzeugt hat es mich auch nicht.

Das Lokal liegt in der historischen Altstadt von Besigheim in einem malerischen Umfeld. Parkplätze sind besser außerhalb der Innenstadt und man geht ein paar Schritte. Man kann sowohl drinnen als auch draußen sitzen. Hirsche dominieren die Einrichtung passend zum Namen. Die Speisekarte wirkte auf mich etwas ungeordnet und nicht gut zu durchblicken. Das Angebot selbst ist überschaubar und hat einen Fokus auf regionalen schwäbischen Gerichten aus regionaler Herkunft. Es ist entsprechend fleischlastig, es gibt aber auch einige sehr wenige vegetarische Angebote, die einen guten Eindruck machen. Die Bedienung ist schnell und freundlich. Das Essen selbst ist sehr brauchbar und nett angerichtet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen.

Wir waren heute 28.10.2023 dort weil wir uns mal wieder ein richtig gutes gutbürgerliches deutsches Essen gönnen wollten. Die Hirschplatte mit selbstgemachten Spätzle, selbstgemachter Maultasche und Schnitzel war ein Gaumenschmauss der allerbesten Sorte. Der Salat dazu mit einem äußerst leckeren Kartoffelsalat war vorzüglich. Dazu eine sehr aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Einfach klasse. Absolut zu Empfehlen. Dazu das wunderschöne alt deutsche Fachwerkhaus Ambiente in dieser urigen kleinen Stadt da kommt echte Urlaubsstimmung auf. Wenn Ihr gut und reichlich essen wollt dann geht zum Hirsch Besigheim.

Telefonisch reservieren nicht möglich, immer besetzt. Waren dann persönlich dort und haben reserviert. Vorspeise: Kürbissuppe sehr gut Flädlesuppe versalzen ( von der Kellnerin kam kein alternativ Angebot, andere Suppe oder sollen wir es von der Rechnung nehmen). Flasche Wein bestellt, mussten selber einschenken bei so viel Personal dürfte das nicht sein. Hauptspeise sehr gut. Service könnte um einiges besser sein , Chefin steht mit verschränkten Armen im Restaurant, macht kein schönes Bild.
