La Storia Modern Food and Drink Concept in Besigheim

This was my first time here, invited to a special birthday party, and I was really impressed. The drinks and cocktails were really good, along with a delicious aperitif and finger food. The music and DJ were also perfect – the atmosphere was simply fantastic. A beautiful, traditional restaurant both inside and out, and a lavish cocktail bar underground. Definitely a really cool atmosphere. La Storia Restaurant & Cocktail Bar in Besigheim combines charming old town flair with stylish vibes and super friendly service. You immediately feel welcome. This definitely won't be my last visit. I highly recommend La Storia Restaurant & Cocktail Bar in Besigheim – whether for celebrations, a relaxed evening, or delicious food. A great place!

We arrived spontaneously, received a very friendly welcome, and were given a suitable table. Our dog was immediately offered fresh water. The service was very attentive and engaging. The ambiance is pleasant and the room beautifully decorated. I highly recommend the pasta made from a Parmesan wheel with fresh truffle.

I celebrated my birthday on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the event location "La Storia." A fantastic, beautiful, and very stylish location. The buffet was a real highlight, both fresh and delicious! As was the presentation and the service. Special praise goes to the chef Marino, who, with his warmth and passion, created a fantastic atmosphere and made "La Storia" something very special! You can immediately feel how much work and love went into it... My guests were thrilled too, which confirmed my choice of location. It was simply a perfect evening, and I can only recommend "La Storia"!!!!! Unfortunately, I can't give more stars than there are already, but I wish each and every one of you as wonderful an evening as I had!

Catering with Pinsa was perfect 🤩

Admittedly, this restaurant wasn't our first choice; we wanted to go to the restaurant by the market—but everything was reserved there. We found the prices at La Storia a bit high online—but luckily, we were still able to make a reservation. When we arrived, our outdoor table wasn't free yet, and we were asked if we wanted to have a quick Prosecco at the bar—which we did. The interior was a mix of kitsch—but so beautifully put together that the overall impression was simply fantastic. We spoke to the man behind the bar, who turned out to be the owner and was genuinely pleased that we liked the place so much. Then our table became available. The two waitresses were quick, super friendly, and consistently cheerful. For our starter, we had the grilled octopus, which we wanted to eat together. When it arrived, we wondered if the waitress had misunderstood us and accidentally brought two portions (it wasn't, it was one portion). The octopus was super delicious and incredibly tender. My partner ordered a pinsa – it was also much larger than we're used to. My pasta sage was also incredibly delicious. We accompanied it with a bottle of Rose Rossato Passivento, which was also very good. Later, the chef walked through the tables again, checking in with the guests – that's hospitality – and was visibly pleased by the praise he received for the kitchen and the two waitresses. It was a truly successful evening for us, and in the end, we were glad that the other restaurants were full and we were allowed to come here. The prices seem high at first, but in relation to what's on offer, it's more than acceptable. You're sitting on the street, after all, and not in a side alley – but here, too, it's clear that the proprietor is keen to make it as attractive as possible by placing small balustrades around the place. So, 3 x 5 stars – we'd love to come back when we're in the area.

A culinary adventure... unfortunately, in the wrong direction. Half-cooked, flavorless pasta – probably an experiment in minimalism. The drinks? They came after the appetizer, perhaps intended as a surprise. We waited almost an hour for our food, enough time to write a novel. The service seemed either in an improv theater or simply completely overwhelmed. Conclusion: A disappointment you won't soon forget – unfortunately for the wrong reasons.

Last Friday, the three of us went to 'La Storia' for the first time – and were absolutely pleasantly surprised! We wanted to try a new location in Besigheim for a change, and the many top reviews had piqued our interest. The positive impressions from the reviews and pictures we had seen beforehand were completely confirmed. The ambiance is very tasteful, cozy, and unique. The lighting concept and the decor are very nice. When you look around, you keep discovering new details. I also liked the music playing in the background. The staff is extremely attentive, funny, and friendly. Simply personable. The food, one salad and two pinsa, was incredibly delicious! And everything, along with the drinks, was served so beautifully decorated that it was not 'just' a pure delight for the palate, but also a feast for the eyes. We felt very comfortable and had a lovely evening here. And we will definitely come back. Thank you. That's why it gets 5 out of 5 stars, with asterisks! 🌟

The service ruined everything :-( Food and the cocktail was good. Live music was great. The service was very poor for outdoor sitting. There was no co-ordination. Very late and dissatisfied with the service. I won’t go there again.

Sat for an hour before anything was served. The quality wasn't anything to write home about. The girls were nice, and I hope the next one is better. Bye.

We had high hopes for the restaurant, as it had very good reviews, but were unfortunately very disappointed. The wait for three vegetarian pasta dishes was over an hour. Two dishes: one with basil and one with lemon sauce (it was just sour), were not tasty at all. We had to send one dish back. It took forever for a reordered drink to arrive. In general, the service seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in the guests.

We hired La Storia as our caterer for our company event and were not disappointed. Excellent food (antipasti and oven-fresh pinsa) and friendly, helpful staff. We'd be happy to go again...

Perfectly prepared and delicious food. Unusual dishes, not mainstream fare. The prices are on the higher side, but the value is still good! The ambiance is stylishly modern, and the atmosphere is rather quiet and relaxing. You can spend a lovely, relaxing evening together without the constant screaming of children (I speak here as a parent :)).

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, we were able to spend the second part of our wedding – the reception – at La Storia in Besigheim, and we are still completely happy with this decision! Elisa, Marino, and the entire team supported us warmly and professionally from the very beginning: From our initial meeting through the pleasant planning process to the actual celebration, we felt well looked after at all times. The beautiful vaulted cellar of La Storia is not only stylishly furnished, but also perfectly equipped for a lively celebration with a special flair. The drinks and our midnight snack were excellent – ​​a huge compliment to the kitchen and service! We can highly recommend the venue and the entire team. By the way: We were not only guests for our wedding, but have also dined at La Storia several times in the evening – each time a thoroughly successful experience. Unforgettable surprise 18th birthday party at La Storia in Besigheim!! We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday in the party cellar at La Storia in Besigheim – as a surprise party – and it was simply fantastic!! The party cellar is superbly equipped, with everything you need: music and lighting, plenty of space for dancing, a great atmosphere – perfect for a successful private party. The team was very friendly and professional and gave us great support with the planning. The antipasti platters and the delicious pinsa were a huge hit with all our guests. Our daughter was overwhelmed, and our guests were thrilled. A huge thank you to the entire La Storia team for this thoroughly successful evening!!!!! A very nice restaurant in the heart of Besigheim! Highly recommended. There's live music every Thursday, which we didn't know when we made our reservation. Of course, it enhanced the delicious food (I had pasta made from a Parmesan loaf with fresh truffle, super creamy), and the atmosphere was truly wonderful. The restaurant is lovingly decorated, and the service was very warm and made you feel at home right away! The cocktails were also delicious and beautifully decorated. I've lived in Switzerland for 10 years and had family visits in Besigheim this weekend. I was recommended the restaurant LA STORIA for dinner. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. As a long-time restaurateur myself, I was very impressed by the truffle pasta, both in terms of quality and taste. Afterwards, I was offered the Peruvian national drink, which was also very tasty. Very diverse and professional. I'd be happy to go back on my next family visit.

First-class lunch. We had grilled salmon fillet and Fit & Fun salad with chicken.

No words!!!!! Simply brilliant, everything. Every drink and every meal is prepared with love. You have to be there to believe it. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful and, above all, unique. You feel completely at home the moment you enter the restaurant. We'll be back... guaranteed.

Oh guys, I'm going to lunch for the first time in ages and then this 🤥 it was by far the worst lasagna (€10) I've ever eaten (and I've got almost 100,000 views for good, constructive reviews). Just dough, crumbs of minced meat (about 1/9 of a package) and no sauce at all 😐 let alone chopped tomatoes or anything like that. It's a real shame. The product was worth about €4 and the final layer of cheese was neither cut nor chewable (I'm 50) - it was faaaaar too hard... what a shame! Confirms my opinion once again that I should cook from scratch.

So unfortunately I have to say that I'm a little disappointed! I made a reservation for Mother's Day and the phone call was super cool and warm. But hardly any information about the “brunch” except that we get a glass of champagne on the house. Yes, when we arrived, no one came forever, and it continued like that until the end! “Brunch menu” was well, and so were the portions, very small, unfortunately! On request why? Nobody had a plan or an answer. The taste was good, but we didn't feel comfortable, unfortunately! It's a shame, we drove an extra 50 minutes. It's a shame really, I wanted to spoil my family! Oh yes and there was no sign of champagne... Sorry but we won't come again...

We were there on Thursday evening. Great ambience, beautifully designed. The pinsas were also without exception delicious and well topped! Unfortunately about the service: both the male waiter and the female waitress were quite friendly and warm, but unfortunately inattentive. Absolute basics are missing. After the order was taken, the cards remained there. Drink orders were only taken if the guest called in (several times), and the glasses were empty the entire evening (including at the other tables!). Dishes were also not cleared away, or only when the next course came and then of course there was no space on the table. For dessert we had a soufflé and a cocktail with ice cream. When both came out of the kitchen, the waitress realized that she had forgotten the cocktail. By the time she finished it and the dessert arrived at the table, the soufflé was cold. Later, BOTH waiters sat in a corner at the same time and ate while the entire shop sat in front of empty glasses... What a shame! There is upward potential here!

We had a great girls night at La Storia!!! We took part in the cocktail workshop yesterday, had a lot of fun and mixed some great drinks. We were also treated to Anti Pasti. A big thank you to Marino for sharing his passion with us and to his lovely wife for supporting him. At the end we spent the evening in the restaurant with delicious food and drinks... I ended up at “Dinner and Dance” with a friend, relatively by chance (2.11.24) 🎉. We decided to eat upstairs and then go downstairs to the bar. However, you can also eat directly in the vaulted cellar (I'll do that next time) :) - it's really cozy and pleasant, very nice, courteous staff, a cool DJ, 🎶 ...friendly, open-minded, just sweet 🫶. There is a relatively small menu for food (pinsa, pasta or even meat and fish), and lovingly 🤗 prepared cocktails and also regional wines. Personally, I usually prefer it more reduced, which is why this concept suits me very much 💫🙌. There are various events and offers every month. Very nice location. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends. Very cozy atmosphere and stylishly furnished! There is a delicious cocktail bar in the vaulted cellar. Otherwise very good, high quality food. However, as a vegetarian (or even vegan) you are somewhat restricted here.

An incredibly beautiful ambience, both inside and outside, beautifully illuminated, tastefully decorated, clean. The food is very good, high quality and selection, no "Italian around the corner" with the usual pizza and pasta offerings. The perfect place for a lovely evening for two, be it with your partner or your best friend, you'll feel like you're in good hands here in terms of culinary and atmosphere.

We often come here to eat. The Italian starter plate is generous and great for sharing. All main courses taste great and are of excellent quality. We ate at La Storia on Saturday. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We had both pinsa and noodles. Neither the pinsa nor the noodles were brought to the table really hot - rather cold. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't convincing either. Unfortunately, the great atmosphere doesn't help either. Too bad!

Yesterday the three of us were in this very cozy restaurant. A place to feel good and linger. The owner was really nice and accommodating. The food was simply delicious, the waitresses were super nice, even at the neighboring table with children, very, very friendly! Happy to come back! With a starter, 2 main courses, 1 dessert and 3 cocktails and 2 bottles of water we came to around 125 euros. Which is fair!

Yesterday we discovered this great restaurant. First-class service, very nice and competent owner with a lot of love for the business and the guests. The selection of food and drinks is terrific and not so “ordinary”. We will definitely come back even if I have a longer journey. An absolute recommendation.

The restaurant and the bar in the basement are really two very nice locations. The drinks taste very good and there are both classic and unusual drinks. Everything I've tried so far from La Storia has tasted good. You can also purchase some finger food and snacks in the bar. However, for a “real” meal I can warmly recommend the restaurant above. Traditional Italian food meets modern furnishings and decor in this restaurant. The service, the food and the atmosphere leave nothing to be desired. All in all, La Storia really impressed me and it certainly won't be the last time I go there.

Our drinks were forgotten several times or not even brought. The forgotten drinks were on the bill. The food also took a long time to arrive. While others who came after us received their starter and main course in time. The taste of the food wasn't great either.

Nice service, but that's about it. The octopus starter was not at all tender. He was hard, as if he had been warmed up. Also very salty. You couldn't taste anything from the octopus itself. Unfortunately, the pasta with shrimp wasn't much better. The shrimp are fried to death and therefore hard. I didn't eat it. The pasta was ok, but it didn't blow me away either. The sauce was ok. As an apology, I have an espresso. I spent over €50 on what for me was worth €13 for drinks.

Today I spontaneously visited Marino. I was blown away by the quality, the coordination of the ambience, quality, aromas and the professional recommendation of the drinks with the meal. I'm just amazed to find something like this in Besigheim that I couldn't find in Berlin, Munich, Bonn or Cologne. Of course there are good restaurants in all cities but the overall package is simply overwhelming. I wish you many more years of passion in the catering industry. Stay as you are. LG

On the recommendation of friends, we visited this Italian restaurant in Besigheim and found a real gem. The selection of dishes at La Storia is excellent and unusual, finally something new. There is a suitable wine recommendation for every dish. The desserts are simply incredibly delicious (definitely leave room in your stomach!) and the cocktails leave nothing to be desired. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendly, warm and personable nature of the owner, who made our evening an unforgettable experience. A visit here is definitely a must! We will be back!

I've been to this restaurant a few times and the food has been delicious every time. There is a great selection, and there is also a lot for vegetarians compared to other restaurants! However, I don't think the price-performance ratio is quite balanced (portions too small for too much money) and if you want to eat here you have to take a lot of time. Even if the restaurant is not full, it takes a long time to get your food, which is sometimes no longer really warm. Eating out there takes an average of two to three hours. I still go back again and again because it simply tastes good.

Everything is just right here: super friendly staff, food like you can't get better in Italy. Delicious hot espresso and a cake for dessert that is nothing short of sinful. Am thrilled!!!
