Pretty average Cantonese food. The wanton soup lacks any flavour whilst the wantons themselves are only with minced pork and no prawns. The fried beef noodles lack enough wok hei.

Germanized Chinese food: sweet and sour pork looks different. Green tea tastes like oolong tea. Recommended: fried green beans, egg tart, jiaozi, jasmine tea

If you want to eat authentic homemade dim sum, Herr He is the place to go. Super delicious, fresh, and tastes fantastic. For dim sum, this is the place to be and the best choice in Hamburg. Because everything is so fresh and delicious, waiting is part of the experience. Don't get impatient 😉 It's worth it!!!

This small but charming shop is located right next to the main train station and is therefore very easy to reach. The Peking duck and the various dumplings were absolutely delicious. The service is quick, friendly, and attentive. Overall, a positive review and highly recommended if you're looking for simple, authentic, and tasty Asian cuisine.

!!! WONDERFUL !!! Guys....I rarely give such reviews. The food, the experience, the service, the taste, everything was incredible! Ordered a wonton soup, 3 Dim Sums, one triple meat platter ( pork, duck and a special made pork ), huge bowl of rice, and some drinks ( they don't matter ). The crispy pork belly, spiced with soy sauce and a touch of special spicy mix, was rightfully, out of this world. It literally melts in your mouth. If you are into chinese cuisine, DO NOT MISS this restaurant! You will regret! Enjoy your meal, everyone!

Sunday evening, 8 p.m. Our first time at Herr He's. Very tasty, plentiful food, very reasonable prices, and very friendly service. The fact that about half the guests were apparently Chinese probably speaks volumes about the rather traditional cuisine. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back when we're in Hamburg.

Unfortunately, the menu is still very meat-heavy. But everything I've ordered so far has always been truly delicious. The service is friendly. The decor is rather plain.

As a Chinese girl, I can't recommend this place, Dimsum was not good, siu mai was acceptable. Nice big restaurant and good service though and the ho fun looked good, so perhaps they have other strengths.

This Chinese restaurant is the best in all of Hamburg! It's my regular restaurant – everything is prepared fresh daily, tastes excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant and very clean. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg. They completely avoid frozen food here – everything is fresh and authentically cooked.

I went to see Mr. He with my daughter and we were both very impressed! The food was so delicious that we tried several dishes, the service was superb, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and there were a lot of Chinese people there, which is a good sign. My daughter keeps asking when we will go again, it has become our new favorite restaurant. Highly recommended!!! Thank you very much Mr He!!!

With the large selection of steamed snacks (dim sum), it is difficult not to become a culinary multi-tasker. The range has also been slightly expanded since April. Service is super nice. In my opinion, the ambience is pleasant, lively but not disturbing. On the contrary, many Asian-looking people eat there, which for me is also the best compliment to the restaurant.

The staff are very friendly, the food is great 👍🏼 price is also great, there is always free ice cream or mango pudding after every meal 🙂

Small and clean Chinese restaurant at the back of Hamburg main station in 5 minutes. Accessible on foot. There are all the “Chinese town food” that you are used to in the EU. The only drawback: the toilet in the basement can only be reached via many steps. Therefore not handicapped accessible. Good dinner in a quiet atmosphere, away from the busy train station, before continuing your journey by train.

The best Chinese I've been to in years.

This Cantonese restaurant is very authentic, retaining the original flavor without localization. The portion is relatively large, suitable for 2-4 people to share. The environment is elegant and the seats are spacious. The transportation location is convenient and easy to find with Google Maps. You can pay by card. There is also a set menu for 10 euros at noon on weekdays, which is very good. Welcome everyone to come and have a taste of home.

Very authentic cuisine with a large selection and delicious food.

Unfortunately, we couldn't eat the food we ordered (dim sum) in the restaurant as planned. The staff were incredibly accommodating ensuring we had everything to go with us including cutlery and sauces. All dishes were on point and super tasty. We are very grateful! Clear recommendation ☺️

Delicious, so delicious, the xiaolongbao and egg tarts are really amazing... the xiaolongbao is just like the taste of my childhood, it has the ginger flavor but it blends well! The dry fried beef river has plenty of moist ingredients! There is a whole pork belly in the eggplant pot... Who knows, it's so delicious, it's so delicious ~ the money belly is also very tasty!

It was so delicious, next time I'll wear pants with elastic. The food was terrific, whether it was wonton, duck or chicken with cashew nuts, everything tasted excellent and better than any other Chinese restaurant, making it the BEST Chinese in Hamburg, everyone else was knocked off their throne. The service was very friendly, didn't rush and brought the starters one after the other so that you could enjoy everything in your time. Until next time, YOU ARE AWESOME!

Come over for dinner. The meat and eggplant stew and the pork ribs with black bean sauce are delicious.

The food was simply delicious! Especially the Mapo Tofu – by far the best in Hamburg. The atmosphere is very pleasant: open, bright and with a nice interior design. You immediately feel comfortable. The service was warm and extremely friendly. A perfect place for a relaxed lunch. We would definitely like to come back!

Delicious food. Super seasoned. The meat was very tender. Huge selection of Dim Sun. Luckily there is a piece of paper and pen included with the card so you don't have to look for the numbers. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

Authentic Cantonese refreshments

I didn't like the food. But it's a matter of taste. I wouldn't eat Chinese anymore.

It was our first visit to this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised that we were able to discover some dimsums that we didn't even know about. The menu is well organized and there are corresponding pictures for all dimsums that can help with your selection. Personally, I really liked discovering a small pad with a pen on the square. So that you could write down the numbers of the dishes directly and there wasn't always a constant search when ordering. I've always wondered why restaurants that have various dimsums on the menu don't offer this option. At the beginning there was also a note that dessert would be on the house. The food was very good and the dishes were well seasoned. The prices are admittedly not exactly cheap for dimsum standards. The proximity to the main train station probably explains this. The interior is simple, but very pleasant and harmoniously designed. I would have liked vinegar for my own sauce mixture. However, that's just a small thing I wanted to point out.

I really enjoy going here for lunch. Really delicious food, reasonable portions and fair prices. Hopefully I can make it to dinner sometime. Clear recommendation!

Don't be put off by the proximity to the train station. This restaurant is so authentic that almost only locals are there. Every dish is extremely tasty, especially the beef with black beans 😍 the dimsum is also exceptionally good.

The store is clean, it doesn't smell too much, and the food isn't seasoned too well, which is really nice. I've tried a lot of things, but they all seem to be at least average! Hamburg’s favorite Chinese restaurant haha ​​especially! You absolutely have to eat the stir-fried eggplant at this place... really. seriousness. Be sure to try the eggplant dish with a sauce named XO. And my favorite egg dumpling noodles are really amazing... they are the best noodles because they are smooth. This alone makes this restaurant worth a visit. The portion was large and I had a lot of dumplings and shrimp, the thin and chewy egg noodles, and the soup was smooth and smelled of perilla oil, so it was the best... And number 508, which I found today, was also delicious. It tastes like stewed beef, but when eaten with bean sprouts and cabbage underneath, the sweet and sour pork was above average. But my favorite things about this restaurant are stir-fried eggplant and dumpling egg noodles(?)..❤️ For reference, the noodle number is 906...? I don't remember, but there's a picture on the menu. Is this a picture of white soup with shrimp dumplings, bok choy, and thin noodles? That's it...

Worst experience ever. We were seated, ordered and waiting when a waiter came and told us that our table was reserved and we should move. They offered to sit in a big table with other people. I wanted to enjoy a dinner with my friend, not make party with unknown people.

Delicious authentic Chinese food

Es war unser erstes Mal, der Tipp ist gekommen durch einen Kollegen und der hat sich für sehr empfehlends Wert, das Lokal ist vom Hauptbahnhof 2 Minuten entfernt. Es kommen auch viele Asiaten gleich mit Koffer und das ist schon immer ein gutes Zeichen. Die Bedienung alle sehr zuvorkommend und immer mit einem lächeln, weiter so.

Our food wasn't good today! We had duck twice, once with cold dark sauce and once with cold curry sauce. The ducks 🦆 were both tough as shoe soles and cut way too thick. The beef wasn't any better! 😞 Her soup was spicy like fire 🔥. The curry sauce was also very spicy, should be written on the card. Her wallpaper is also peeling off the walls and there are lots of spider webs over the door. The chairs also start to wobble. They used to be better, but now I can't recommend them! There are better Chinese. Please try 🙏 your food.

Die negativen Bewertungen dieses Restaurants kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Unfreundliche Bedienung? Hier geht es recht flott zu, denn der Laden brummt (warum wohl?); wer das für unfreundlich hält, hatte wohl noch nie mit Chinesen zu tun. Dass bei einer umfangreichen Bestellung auch mal etwas danebengeht, kommt überall vor und sollte nicht zu einem komplett negativen Urteil führen. Dass hier so viele chinesische Gäste anzutreffen sind, spricht für sich. Absolutes Ignorantentum beweist sich mit der Kritik an dem kleinen Schreibblock, auf dem man seine Bestellungen notieren kann (nicht muss). Natürlich, wer nur sein Schweinefleisch süß-sauer bestellen (und möglichst mit Messer und Gabel in sich hineinschaufeln) will, braucht sowas nicht, aber wer aus der wunderbaren Auswahl an Dim Sum vielleicht sechs oder acht verschiedene Gerichte bestellt, ist dankbar dafür, mit Hilfe des Blocks die Übersicht zu behalten und die Zusammenstellung zu optimieren. Das Herr He gehört zu der ganz kleinen Handvoll authentischer chinesischer Restaurants in Hamburg und kann durchaus mit dem bekannteren Dim Sum Haus in der Nähe mithalten. Das Essen ist vielfältig, wird punktgenau frisch zubereitet und schmeckt hervorragend. Die Portionen der Hauptgerichte sind reichlich. Eine klare Empfehlung.
