Restaurant Gulliver in Berlin

I had an incredibly delicious cordon bleu with asparagus and fried potatoes and my wife baked the asparagus with ham and cheese, we both really enjoyed it. We came there without a reservation and were very lucky that there was still a table available. The innkeepers are super friendly and the place is very quaint and cozy. We will definitely eat there more often now because it tastes amazing.

The food was delicious and we enjoyed it! The portions are huge so make sure you don't eat too much before visiting. The attendants are really nice and had a nice conversation with us when we finished eating. Finally, you should also bring cash with you, as payment is only possible in cash! A really nice place in Berlin Steglitz! (Make sure you reserve in good time! You won't get a table here without a reservation!)

The schnitzel doesn't taste quite as good, there are much better ones and the beer tasted a bit strange. The service isn't the best either - it comes across as a bit unmotivated and unfriendly to me.

We arrived from Schöneberg on the recommendation of RBB Abendschau Ulli Zelle. We were there early today on Sunday, the first 3 p.m., we were greeted as soon as we opened something underground. A man about 52 years old opened the door and shouted if we had reserved. I said we came from Schöneberg on the recommendation of your website, he pointed out that the site is not from and and he doesn't know Rudi Celle and the Abendschau or RBB was never here

If you like German cuisine you have to come here. Absolutely classy. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. I could have been fooled 👍🤣🤞Nice, quick service...I loved it here and will be back.

Good food with very good service

Table reservations are mandatory!!! Eating here is simply an experience. The reception is typical Berlin... Schnitzel with fried potatoes is the real deal and from the looks of it it tastes just divine! Both cordon bleu and a schnitzel gratinated are a top recommendation. The meat is buttery soft and the breading is golden brown and crispy. Every bite is a delight from start to finish. We will 100% come back...

There were only two of us and we were unfortunately turned away. We arrived shortly before opening time and were therefore the only ones left. However, there were apparently too many guests arriving, so we unfortunately had to leave. Warning: not for last-minute travelers.

Quaint and incredibly friendly, and so delicious. Highly recommended. You immediately feel welcome here, like you're at home or visiting good friends. Thank you for your hospitality – see you soon.

A definite recommendation for those who enjoy German home cooking, just like grandma used to make. A truly rustic atmosphere, like in the old days, with a Berlin accent and huge portions you won't find anywhere else. We'll be back!

Old Berlin pub with that certain something...The best schnitzel with fried potatoes that I have eaten in Berlin so far. Everything freshly prepared and really simply delicious!! Very happy to come back soon…

This meal was wonderful. Kathrin and Götz are simply amazing. They're truly heartfelt people. I haven't felt this comfortable in a restaurant in a long time. The portion was huge. It tasted amazing. The trip from Pankow was definitely worth it. Keep up the good work.

A rustic restaurant where you can still feel full at a price/performance ratio that is hard to find today. The portions are huge, the service is great and in the summer you can also sit outside.

We had an amazing time here. We walked over after visiting the botanical gardens. They do not speak much English but they are very nice staff and very good authentic German food. We were the only foreigners in the place!

At first glance, a rather inconspicuous, typical Berlin restaurant with a Zille ambience, in which Gulliver's traces are evident. The food impresses with its freshness and quality, mostly real home cooking like grandma's or mother's time, everything is prepared and cooked to order. Class! Here, eating is not just a need, but enjoying it is an art, and all of this at absolute peace prices, a little remote from the main highway of the Hindenburg Dam, but only a few steps away from it. A culinary detour that is definitely worth it.

People enjoy cooking...and eating here. If you don't let the sober pub ambience put you off, you'll be rewarded with great schnitzels or cordon bleu. Good portions, many will certainly be full of the girls' schnitzel. Nice hosts!

Our first visit today. We and our dog felt very welcome. The schnitzels were really tasty and the beer was tasty. And there was a nice chat there too. We'll definitely be back!

A typical old Berlin corner pub. Here the boss cooks and sizzles herself. The schnitzels are amazing. And the chili sauce at Gullivers is amazing 😋😋😋 Thank you that a place like this still exists. We'll definitely be back.

An absolute tip for those who want to eat like grandma did. An absolutely rustic atmosphere with not a little Berlin flavor and portions that you won't find anywhere else. We will be back!

We always enjoy coming to Gulliver. Warm atmosphere with outstanding home cooking. Schnitzel and cordon bleu leave nothing to be desired, and the currywurst is also very tasty.

We arrived at 20h20 and as soon as we entered the waiter let us know that the kitchen was closed, when the restaurant closes at 23h00 So beware before you make a trip to the restaurant.

Kathrin and Götz (a married couple) have been running this restaurant in the district for decades with consistent quality and friendly innkeepers: the schnitzels with asparagus and fried potatoes are really great! Otherwise there is something for every palate: highly recommended! The prices are moderate for the mega portions.

Katrin und Götz: Legendär!! Typische Kneipenatmosphäre so wie man es sich wünscht, was ja kaum noch zu finden ist. Leckeres frisch gezapftes Bier und dazu überragendes Essen. 100%ige Empfehlung.

Mir hat der Besuch in diesem Restaurant sehr gut gefallen, der Umgang mit den Gästen herzlich,man kann sich da nur wohlfühlen !!👏👏👏wir kommen natürlich gerne wieder !!👍👍👍

베를린에 오랫동안 거주하면서 여러 슈니첼을 먹어봤지만 (가격과 맛 그리고 양을 고려했을 때) 제가 먹은 슈니첼 중에 가장 만족스러운 슈니첼이었습니다. 이 집 슈니첼의 특징은 얇은 고기를 여러 장을 겹쳐 튀긴다는 점입니다. 고기가 튀김 옷과 잘 어울려서 매우 맛있습니다. 또 밑간이 잘 되어 있어서 같이 나오는 레몬즙을 살짝 뿌려 먹는 것만으로도 충분합니다. 코르동블루도 매우 맛있습니다. 같이 나오는 감자 요리에 대해서도 한 줄 적습니다. 많은 한국인들이 익숙한 사이드메뉴로 폼프리(감자튀김)를 주문하는데, 이곳에 오시면 천편일률적인 감튀보다 감자볶음을 먹어보세요. 음식을 하시는 사모님께서 후추라는 향신료에 대한 해석이 탁월하시고 또 활용을 굉장히 잘 하십니다. 베이컨 기름과 그 안에 있는 염분에 적당한 온도와 타이밍에 후추를 첨가하시는 것 같은데 후추의 ‘매운’ 맛을 잘 살려서 저는 매우 인상깊게 맛있게 먹었습니다. 다만 사장님과 사모님 두 분이 가게를 운영 하셔서, 음식은 조금 늦게 나올 수도 있습니다. 그래서 이곳에 오실 때는 시간적으로 여유를 가지고 오시길 추천합니다.

Es ist so schön fußläufig ein Lokal zu haben wo es die besten Schnitzel gibt, der Service immer bestens ist und man sich einfach willkommen fühlt.

Eine wundervolle, schöne Berliner Eckkneipe. Mit hervorragender Berliner Küche. Für faire Preise super leckeres Essen. Saison bestimmt und sogar Pilze vom Fass. Sehr lecker.

Wir haben sehr gemütlich draußen gesessen und die Schnitzel genossen, für mich könnten sie etwas dünner und dadurch nicht so brotig sein, aber durchaus lecker und riesig! Die Getränke, auch das Bier könnten bissl kühler sein, aber das kenne ich als Gastronom mit einem in die Jahre gekommenen Schanktresen auch, da schuften diese Geräte, machen viel Lärm und wärmen einem die Füsse.... Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert, Wirtin sofort sehr freundlich und herzlich, mit ihm muss man erstmal warm werden, aber ist ja ok ;o)

Wer das Lokal zum ersten Mal besucht, sollte sich das WC ansehen. Berlin wird immer mehr zum Dritten Welt Land. Das Schnitzel mit einer Achtel Zitrone, ja groß, lecker ist anders, Preßfleisch, für ehedem fast 40 Mark?

Wir (2 Personen) hatten eine gemütliche Zeit. Die Schnitzel sind perfekt und die Bedienung sehr freundlich!

Gute bürgerliche Küche, sehr freundliche Betreiber.

Ihr möchtet Berliner Originale kennen lernen freundliche Gastgeber kennenlernen und gut Essen? Dann seid ihr hier richtig. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und betreut. Schnitzel (Hausgemacht!) und Pommes sind super lecker, nur zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei.

Perfekte deutsche Küche! Das Cordon Bleu ist sehr zu empfehlen. Katrin und Götz schaffen es jedesmal, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Ein Familienrestaurant. Der hat mein Tag in Berlin gemacht. Leckeres Essen und sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Wenn Sie die Berliner Gastfreundschaft kennen lernen wollen, sind Sie hier genau richtig. Wir saßen draußen und die Gastgeberin brachte und bot Decken und Kissen für die Stühle an. Das Essen ist köstlich und, für die heutige Zeit, recht preiswert. Die Portionen sind groß. Es war echt super und ich werde gern noch mal kommen.

Super nette Bewirtung, gepflegte Biere. Das Essen ist mega lecker, die Portionen sportlich. Hier geht niemand hungrig nach Hause. Familiäre Atmosphäre und gemütliches Ambiente. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.

Super coole Chefs und die besten Bratkartoffeln (mit Leberkäse) überhaupt ! Das "Mädchenschnitzel" ist riesengroß.

Mir wurde erst nach längerem Überlegen bewusst, dass ich den Chef Götz aus der Fernsehsendung ^Verstehen Sie Spaß^ kenne. Dort war die Kneipe Kulisse in der Folge: Der hats verdient: der neue Gehweg. Super authentisch und mega freundlich und das Essen ist echt klasse. Ein separater Nebenraum zum rauchen ist auch vorhanden. Alles da was man sich wünscht und das mit einem tollen Touch Berliner Kneipenkultur. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Es war wieder sehr sehr schön! Götz die Bedienung war wie immer sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und Katrin hat sich mit Ihrer Kochkunst wieder mal selbst übertroffen!!! Ich war Heute zum 2. Mal im Gulliver und der Eindruck vom ersten Mal wurde bestätigt. Das ist eine Topadresse für ein gemütliches Beisammensitzen und um etwas Leckeres zu essen. Heute war im Angebot Schinkenknacker mit Grünkohl und Bratkartoffeln plus einer kleinen Salatbeilage. Einfach total lecker mit einer freundlichen Bedienung. Die Preise sind Kundenfreundlich und absolut ok. Die Grünen Heringe vom Mal davor, waren auch spitze. Meine Absolute Empfehlung für einen netten Abend oder Nachmittag!

Eine typische Berliner Kneipe mit Charme und Herz. Auch spät abends bekommt man hier lecker und frisch zubereitete Speisen (Rührei), rustikales Ambiente, und sehr herzlicher Service.

Ganz tolles, gemütliches Familien-Lokal mit richtig gutem Essen. Deutsche Küche, wie bei Mutti. Außerhalb der Karte gibt es oft noch eine Tageskarte. Das beste Cordon bleu überhaupt. Preis-/Leistung top. Total nette, authentische Besitzer. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Auch, um nur mal ein, zwei, drei Bier zu trinken, sehr zu empfehlen. Der Kellner ist einfach ein richtiger Berliner ;) liebs!

Wer gut und reichlich essen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Die Wirtsleute sind sehr sympathische Ur-Berliner.

Ein super tolles Restaurant wo kein Wunschoffen bleibt. Wir sind Stammgäste seit Jahren und freuen uns jedes Mal auf die super leckere Küche und die familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Betreiber Katrin und Götz sind wundervolle Menschen mit dem Herz am richtigen Fleck. Wer gute deutsche Küche liebt ist hier auf jedenfall richtig:)

Einmalige Hausmannskost, die diesen Titel auch wirklich verdient. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Alt Berliner Eck Kneipe mit Niveau.....man kann hier auch mal mit Familie hinkommen ohne den Assi Säufer zu belästigen.......toller Laden

Zufällig drauf gestoßen und zum Essen geblieben. Hat etwas von einer Dorfkneipe in der Großstadt. Irgendwie kennt jeder jeden und man merkt, dass viele Stammgäste hier sind. Wirklich sehr, sehr gutes Essen (Stil ist eher deftige, deutsche Hausmannskost), mit riesigen Portionen. Hungrig geht man hier nicht heim. Leider mussten wir sehr lange auf unser Essen warten. Falls dies keine Ausnahme war, lieber etwas mehr Zeit einplanen und nicht mit schlimmem Hunger kommen. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Wir sind durch Zufall hier gelandet. Jetzt ist es fest für Berlin gebucht. Leckeres Essen, riesige Portionen guter Preis. Es ist echt eine Empfehlung .

Das Essen ist unfassbar lecker. Die Betreiber lassen einen spüren das man willkommen ist und ein bisschen „Berliner Schnauzer“ ist auch mit dabei. Entspannt mal ein Bierchen trinken ist drinnen sowie draußen auch möglich. Wir kommen immer gerne her!
